Family › Re: Man Raises Family Under Lagos Bridge by ifyalways(f): 1:49pm On Nov 14, 2011
I just left there.Hmmn na wao.

Truly, the couple exist for real. They have a baby boy and the wife is visibly pregnant.Contrary to PM news report,Mr Obuh do go out to hustle and does not sit all day sleeping and eating.

On arriving and locating them(took me almost an hour),I met Dupe and the baby boy.Started asking her questions and while at it,Mr Obuh walked in.He had with him pieces of scrap metals he got for reselling to scavengers.

and Yep,I now without doubt do believe that they might be disturbed by snakes and other rodents. The place is just filthy, area boys shyte, smoke ganja just 5 meters away from their "home".

One thing I noticed and can't help but share is this:the couple are so in love with each other and quite simple. The smile and warm reception they gave me,Dupe even offered me pure water from her bowl nearby.would start posting pics soon.

@Chike hope it went as planned ? I had my car bashed by police patrol van @ down tiyamiyu savage, just by clasic bar on saturday night on my way coming.

I did catch a glimpse of one of your works, the very one on display just by the entrance and it was lovely(not flattering you).Wish you the very best in your endeavours.

@Talina,I want to believe I do.
If they meant Cele @ Amuwo Odofin then Yes,I do.
I modified my previous post.lol
Family › Re: Man Raises Family Under Lagos Bridge by ifyalways(f): 5:18am On Nov 14, 2011
God have mercy!

But wait oh,Is Cele bus stop not the one close to Chosen church @ Amuwo odofin?I can't help but wonder why they've not been able to get help from millions of people who obviously pass them by on their way to and fro church.

I don't also buy the snake part,i know that place quite well and there possibly could be no such rodents that side. The journalist added that for pity effect.

Anyone verified this story yet,the said couples actually exist?

I'd see if I can locate them btw today and morrow and if i do,wud get a different set of pictures of them and upload here(if they consent),find out why the man is not hustling, how to possibly contact them etc.

Don't you people have dealer service workshops whereby if your car gets broken you take it back to where you bought it so that they can fix it under the manufacture warranty
Your people have warranty for "tokumbo" cars and/or how many new cars do you see on Naija roads huh

macjive01:
nekede and orji are the same as ENUGU?

is there any resemblance in their spelling, love ?
Oh Chim.

Point is,it's not yet uhuru till the work is completed, the village functioning and perharps a realtime "image" of the new ultra modern complex is posted.
Nekede and Orji are both mechanic villages and they are both an eyesore.

The afore mentioned benefits of a mechanic village aside,I personally think its a good inititative as it would keep those guys in cheeck.I've lost counts of number of times i've had to run at sighting some mechanics. Some of them just don't give a hoot about their appreance.tattered clothes, charcoal black bodies, dirty unwashed hair and carrying a heavy metal too,hmmn.Lawdhavemercy.

My heart goes out to them little kids naked, paddling big canoes and fishing/diving deep to fetch sand or whatever they do anytime i drive past 3rd mainland bridge.

Misleading topic.Speculations and delibrations;nothing more.

Btw,Ogboko does not have the capacity of carrying a university YET.Aside the Rochas free secondary school located there, the place is pretty much isolated. If anyone is thinking of taking a Uni. there,s/he is in for a huge infrastructural work.

Why do the want to move the school from its current location huh

Politics › Re: Shameful Culture Of Prostitution Among Nigerian Females In Europe by ifyalways(f): 2:44pm On Nov 13, 2011
Where are their fathers and brothers?

It takes alot of self disciple and a lil' of fear of God for a poor young lady in Nigeria to be able to say pros.titution.

No jobs, getting basic education or handiwork is expensive, uncles wont even help without getting a piece of the pie, boyfriends wont help either(some guys actually encourage their babes to do it) plus the general rot in our culture, the rot of worshipping money and affluence.

@Lucabrasi,You are so mistaken if you think those your babes @ ikeja under bridge are innocent.Whoring get levels for naija and some of those P's have a sort of day work or the other. They braid hair,do sales girl, sell cigar by day the hawk their kini by night.

Greed,IMO is the main motivating factor.Poverty comes close though to some extent.

Anyhoo, its simple law of demand and supply. We can snort here all we want but when its dark, all men are black.

OAM4J:
Political discussion is about expressing opinions on political issues however silly or faulty the opinions may be, then different opinions are debated and we don't need to agree on any opinion but in the course of the debate everyone learn something. Since you have a better, more refined, more meaningful and more sensible argument, you should have expressed them and let the boys be educated by you. Or did anyone stopped you from doing so?
OJ,please educate me,what is politics ? What do we have here these days?:
