I still don't know how Unionbank became a force to reckon with in the banking sector.

^Some of us take neither shrine nor its messengers/messages serious cos:
Of the advent of the white man and his religion.
we now have one too many of shrines with different and conflicting stands/solutions when presented with an issue. The shrines are not spared of corruption.
we have become lazy or the gods are not blessing us enough anymore as we cant afford to meet up with their constant demands for sacrifice.
^Just Generally speaking oh,not my personal conviction.

Have anyone of us been to Nando?I was there in the early nineties by God,they have more than enough shrines to go round and protect the whole Igboland. Can't help but wonder if things are still same there . . .

Family › Re: Man Raises Family Under Lagos Bridge by ifyalways(f): 10:42am On Nov 21, 2011
@R231,No,we wont be needing as much as 100k for their accomodation.I never knew houses were that cheap @ Ayobo,Ipaja areas. We are looking at 50k or 60K at most for their accomodation.

@Jarus,Oam4j.Bucuzamblack,Johndoe said they wants to contribute and needs payment details, please PM them.

Can we make it an open donation please?People can donate even 5K,more or as the spirit leads.Im passionate about this couple cos i have met, spoke, eaten and interacted with them. The pains of what they are going through now is so much. Its such a pity that Jarus did not meet them yesterday,it would have been nice if a man reports back.women and emotions sha.I pray God blesses immensely all that have pledged so help to they'd be able to fulfill their pledge asap.

Still making the accomodation contacts,Olowotee too is trying from her ends.

^Ok.
Family › Re: Man Raises Family Under Lagos Bridge by ifyalways(f): 8:46am On Nov 21, 2011
@R231,Mowe accomodation,if its still at the last published price(almost 80K) is on the high side.It might however be our last resort.Let us try Ipaja,Egbeda,Iyana Ipaja,Ayobo areas first, seems they are cheaper btw 1K to 2K(3k at most per month) and besides, they are already at Ayobo area, how do we move them to Mowe?
Family › Re: Man Raises Family Under Lagos Bridge by ifyalways(f): 8:29am On Nov 21, 2011
@Olowotee,sorry.I slept off real quick.would call you laterz.

@R231,You might need to go through the thread and update on the list of the donors.

@All,the most important thing now is to get accomodation for the Obuhs.A cheap but decent single room. And I agree with Gboliwe, expending our energy on PM news/GTB and others while Mr Obuh is out there homeless and defenceless beats the purpose for which this thread was created.

Today,I would be looking for accomodation for them. From now on,my updates wud be limited as the "good, bad, ugly" are reading here and trying so hard to counter our efforts.

@Freiburger,Pls don't upload the pictures I sent you just yet.we can do that after getting them an alternative accomodation.
Family › Re: Man Raises Family Under Lagos Bridge by ifyalways(f): 8:37pm On Nov 20, 2011
^Yes,they need accomodation.Olowotee lives around Ipaja plus others living around Ipaja Ayobo axis can help us look for a single room.

I heard a single room around there goes for 1K5 and if you are lucky, you'd be asked for just 1 year.

IMO,The Obuhs need a room(an accomodation) as what was reported as "rented house" for them is not fit for even dogs(God bears me witness).Wud post the pictures asap.

May God save mankind from greed, wickedness and oppression.
Family › Re: Man Raises Family Under Lagos Bridge by ifyalways(f): 8:07pm On Nov 20, 2011
The Obuhs are now worst than they were before the Pm reporter aired his story.
He has been ejected from under bridge.
His face used to sell papers and got hits to blogs.
Been labelled as a greedy man and tossed around by coorks in "charity" clothing.
He is not even safe anymore.

So tonite,we left Obuh, wife and son(James) at the house at Itele Ota,Ogun state.Wether he would sleep outside,at the bush or inside the room,is what i don't know as both landlord and caretaker said "he should go and settle with the GTB/ATM" lady.
Family › Re: Man Raises Family Under Lagos Bridge by ifyalways(f): 7:59pm On Nov 20, 2011
Seems the ATM lady(she by the way works at GTB) is related to the kind annonymous donor from UK.What I don't get is this, why take close to 100K or more from someone then go rent house in the bush for the Obuh's? and by the way that room should be less than 20K for 2 years.

A decent single room at Ipaja/Ayobo goes for btw 1to 2K so why they moved them down to Itele road,Ota Ogun state is what I don't get.

As i type now,Olowotee just left there and the Obuh's are yet to get into the house.Care taker and landlord where all asking him to go "settle with the gtb/atm woman" . . .

I finally met with Jarus but unfortunately he did not see the Obuh's.
Family › Re: Man Raises Family Under Lagos Bridge by ifyalways(f): 7:33pm On Nov 20, 2011
Picked them at Oshodi then we headed towards Iyana Ipaja.Mr. Obuh now told me(he repeated same to Olowotee when she joined us) that the bank lady(the one that claimed she withdrew 9K with her atm) actually came with one Mr Ayodeji of PM news and together, they made him the proposal of using the bank lady's account to help MR Obuh.

When Mr Obuh refused,PM news was quick to carry the news that he rejected offers coming his way and that he was rather asking for 100K.
Not hard to connect the dots.

Ok today,we picked Olowotee,Jarus was still fighting traffic(lol) and headed for AyoboOgun state.lolz it was almost 6pm so at Ayobo last stop, yours truly called it a day and handed the Obuhs over to Olowotee(bless her) for onward movement to Outskirt of Ayobo(ogun state)

30 mins laterz,I called Olowotee and guess what, room has been locked by caretaker and key in the custody of the ATM bank lady.

werin "consign" that lady with the apartment?
Family › Re: Man Raises Family Under Lagos Bridge by ifyalways(f): 7:07pm On Nov 20, 2011
I wud start with the CharlesB story. It kept escaping my memory, asking them if they ever got any offer or help from any CharlesB but today Olowotee was around and remembered so we asked them and alas, the couple never heard, saw or got anything from anyone called or representing Charlesb.

So who is charlesb(i dont even know) and where and how did the news(rumour huh ) that he got them an apartment somewhere spin out from ?

On getting to under bridge today,Mr Obuh and family were nowhere to be found, reason? someone(obviously have been following this thread) sent area boys to threaten them and make them vacate the bridge. They were told to leave else they wud be detained and arressted with sars(police ) morrow.

After waiting for some minuets and bribing some area boys,I was able to locate them at Oshodi on their way to the so-called "apartment" at Ayobo.(not even Ayobo but Ogun state).

Jarus had a flat tire and was late so i left for oshodi without him.

Please people this family needs help, cash, kind and most especially prayers.
I have never seen this kind of wickedness before,Good God.

I wish the so-called UK guy that got them "an apartment" reads this,I hope Linda Ikeji reads this,Mr Ayodeji of PM news sees this and every other blogger out there,God the heart of man is extremely wicked.

Tomorrow,I would be posting the so-called pictures of "apartmet" reported to be rented for Mr Obuh.A place that can be best described as a pen(NO jokes) right in the center of nowhere(bushes) with no electricity or water, the under bridge is a castle when compared to the so-called apartment.

Im driving home and posting via mobile so I'd be updating in bits.

John doe,If you are interested in helping them,Oam4j,Jarus or R231 would contact you.
btw,You are in Lagos and I was thinking you'd come around.lol

It's left for the organising commitee to decide on what to do BUT i suggest that we do cash and kind donation(as Dupe wants to go the provision route) especially for people in Lagos and Nigeria.

@Olowotee,our sunday arrangement still stands as planned.I would sms you laterz.

Again,we "must" not provide them with 2 different busineses.1 good one, health care and education for the lil'boy is OK.Mr Obuh with a roof on his head and assured of food(from the wife) should hit the streets,IMO.
Family › Re: Man Raises Family Under Lagos Bridge by ifyalways(f): 6:46pm On Nov 18, 2011
Money or goods. . .?
They both said they'd prefer we get them everything ourseleves(shop, goods).Dupe said she can tag along with us whenever we are sourcing for goods in order to acquaint herself with mkt and selling price, cost price etc.

@Radiant,accomodation issue is sorted. They have a place at Ayobo. They've not moved to Ayobo cos they feel if they move in now, people might assume their problems are over while in reality, accomodation with no source of income wud take them back to the streets again.

@Naijababe,I sincerely forgot about the 100K issue.

They still would need household and cooking utensils as the room is still bare and empty. The guy that got them the house promised furnishing and other things but they've not heard from him since then.

Future Plans . . .

Mr Obuh says he wants to go into Timber biz.He was very passionate about that and when I tried to find out why,his response was that he was always wanted to sell timber.I asked him how much capital he thinks he would need to kick off,he said 150K but he can still start off with anything lessfanything he's offered.

Dupe wants a small provision store. She says it would give her time to manage and take care of the husband and kids and also ensure they have atleast food on the table daily.I asked her how much start up capital we are looking at,she asked the husband(LOL) and then replied 100K plus small Generator and Fridge.
Family › Re: Man Raises Family Under Lagos Bridge by ifyalways(f): 6:03pm On Nov 18, 2011
Back. . .

Mr. Obuh said they did get and rejected Ogun state accomodation offer because "the place is not good" and a native doctor lives there.

The Ayobo room was paid for,2 years upfront by an annonymous donor who also promised them other things(biz) though they've not heard from him/her since then.

The Atm lady did not buy them stoves and buckets as reported. The lady came with a proposal instead. She wants them to use her account and re direct donors(including us) to assist them via her account.Mr Obuh rejected the offer and she left in annoyance.

There is/was no Ojota/Ikota accomodation offer.

Mr Obuh looks(to me) very sane and drug free. The wife,Dupe corroborated every thing he said.

I would try and reach Monday Obuh again today. This time for a long chat and peep into his future(what he wants to do etc)If the enviroment is safe,I might get it on video or audio.

Would report back here later today.

Family › Re: Man Raises Family Under Lagos Bridge by ifyalways(f): 4:28pm On Nov 17, 2011
Contd.
So Mr Obuh said he suggested they go get a single room, something he's sure of maintaining and finally, they got a single room at the outskirt of Ayobo.I then instructed my driver to still wait and convey them to the house as me and Olowotee intends visiting on sunday but to my chargin,my driver said they don't seem to like the idea as they were taking their time to pack and unpack. After waiting for close to an hour,I instructed him to come back but not without arranging with Mr Obuh to come back on sunday noon @ Cele bus stop to come wait for me(I assumed they wud leave later today) so I can go know the place(and pick Olowotee too)I shared this information with Olowotee and that was around 10 am today.

Sincerely, from the moment they refused leaving with my driver,I grew weak and sceptical, not to mention the risk of going to "an outskirt of Ayobo".

Any other Nlder can go meet Mr. Obuh on sunday(im sure he wud be there) cos for me,I have logged off his case esp with this latest PM news.
