HopeAtHand: LGAs are ideally, created for ease of administration. Now, given the structure of Nigerias political system and the sentiments attached, when a local government becomes overpopulated, splitting into smaller more-administrative units is almost impossible because of the fear of overhead cost and a distabilizing of the political status quo. Those mainly are the reason why Ikwerre LGAs will remain 4, irregardless of how populated they become. It does not detract the fact that they are large enough to be split into smaller parts. Though it remains 4, but can be 12.
That is the whole point of my argument.
Adios. Well, in the end, its still 4 (3.5 actually), and we have 4 random LGAs areas in Igboland whose land mass when approximated is bigger than Ikwerreland. That's my own point. |
Politics › Re: Why Ikwerres And Ikas Should Be Excluded From Biafra Struggle. by Igboid: 3:06pm On Jul 04, 2020 |
24SEVEN: You are missing the drift. Whiteangel said Ikwerre was mere 4 LGAs. The 4 LGAs if it were in Abia would have been at least 12 LGAs. That is the message. so stop saying 4 LGAs like all LGAs are proportionate in sizes.
I think I answered well. Using PHLGA as example, if Izzi LGA were in Rivers state, it would be equivalence of 15 LGAs. Can we now say that Izziland will make 15LGAs in Ikwerreland using PHLGA as a template? Your comparison is brainless. You can't randomly pick small LGA in Abia to compare with LGAs in Ikwereeland, if you do so, then we can as well randomly pick LGAs from Igboland to compare with those Four Ikwerre LGAs. |
Politics › Re: Why Ikwerres And Ikas Should Be Excluded From Biafra Struggle. by Igboid: 2:50pm On Jul 04, 2020 |
HopeAtHand: I've been quiet on this issue, but let me just straighten this LGA talk once.
Granted, there are 4 LGAs that make up Ikwerreland. But the LGAs if they were to be in Igboland, would have been split into tiny little prices.
The 4 LGAs of Phalga 42Sq Mi. (109Km²), Obio-Akpor 100Sq Mi (260Km²) Emohua 321Sq Mi (831Km²) Ikwerre 530Sq Mi (1380Km²
Total Land Area 993Sq Mi (2577Km²)
They are larger than 12 out of 17 LGAs in Abia.
1. Ukwa East. 110Sq Mi (280Km²) 2. Ukwa West. 105Sq Mi (271Km²) 3. Isiala Ngwa North. 109Sq Mi (283Km²) 4. Isiala Ngwa South. 100Sq Mi (258Km²) 5. Osisoma. 76Sq Mi (198Km²) 6. Obi Ngwa. 153Sq Mi (395Km²) 7. Ugwunagbo 42 Sq Mi (108Km²) 8. Aba South. 19Sq Mi (49Km²) 9. Aba North. 9Sq. Mi (23Km²) 10. Ikwuano. 108Sq Mi (281Km²) 11. Umuahia South. 50Sq. Mi (140Km²) 12. Umuahai North. 95Sq Mi. (245Km²)
Total. 977Sq Mi (2531Km²)
If Ikwerre was to be in Abia, it will take almost 2/3 of Abia Landmass.
cc: Igboid et al, take note. This is a brainless comparison. We are comparing Igboland with Ikwerreland and not Abia state. Now here are some of the biggest LGAs in land mass in Igboland. 1. Uzo uwani LGA ( Enugu state)= 855kmsq 2. Ohaji Egbema LGA ( Imo state) = 890kmsq 3. Udi LGA (Enugu state)= 897Kmsq 4. Ishielu LGA ( Ebonyi state) = 872Kmsq Total= 3514kmsqThose randomly picked LGAs in Igboland already beat Ikwerreland and we still have many more to spare. If Ikwerre LGAs were in Igboland they could be one of those LGAs and no one would care. I am sure you haven't heard of most of those listed LGAs before. And by the way, you share PHLGA with Okrikas, so I suggest you go recalculate your sample. |

Arsenal matter don tire me. I will start taking us serious when we get maximum or at least 10points from our next four games. Xhaka is crucial in this team. It hurts to say this, but as bad as he is, he is our best midfielder, are we not pathetic bunch ? Ceballos blows hot and cold, I wonder if Arteta fancies him or are we shipping him back to Madrid. Carasco is still up for grabs as he was only on loan from China to Atletico, he ran rampage on entire Barca midfield. We need a player with such drive. Sanchez use to offer us that. Currently we don't have such player in our team. Memphis Depay is also a good option. People talk alot about our poor defense, but our midfield and attack has been so bad if not worse too. We don't just score enough. Bellerin decline is obvious to all and now Cedric might relegate him to bench roles. Tierney looks like a good buy if he can stay off injuries. Our midfield just lack goals, we are too reliant on Auba. We need a dynamic midfielder with goals in his game. Pepe was supposed to be that, but we see that his adaptation to the league is taking awful long time. Good win against a struggling Norwich, but these are games we lost in past months, so let's not be too quick to ignore the improvement Arteta has brought on board. It's a work in progress. |

Oloun: I was discussing the condition of Nigeria with an Ikwerre elderly man on Monday and that was the first day I discovered the uncontrollable hatred these people has for igbos.
Yesterday being Tuesday I was discussing with the man's children one thing led to politics and these people disclosed their high hatred for Igbos, I found out that they all repeated almost the irrelevant and ignorant facts their father used.
It's during this discussion that I found out that their hatred towards igbos is based on the misleading orientation their father gave them about igbos and even yorubas, what baffles me most is that these people were graduates but their mindsets is so damp that they don't even know much about Internet usage or carryout researches as they hardly live outside rivers state if not for NYSC.
I found out that these people are rarely exposed that they relied on whatever lies their coward father told them about the biafra - nigeria war which created the hatred, I called their father a coward because according to his story that made him hate igbos is that during the Civil War he is grown up enough to join the biafra army but his mother concealed him when the biafra soldiers came to their house to take him to join the war which I already learnt was a policy then that one male child of each family that was up to a certain age must join the army and it's applicable to the whole biafran states.
So as the soldiers found out that the mother hid him they tried threatening the woman which was fruitless so they flogged the woman still she refused bringing him out but they left.
What the man now tell the children is that what igbos were doing during the war was to come to every Ikwerre household and forcefully take away their male child and go and bury them alive without him telling the children that igbos weren't the only producers of the biafran soldiers.
According to Colonel Achuzia's (A Deltans who was a high rank officer of the biafran military) novel on his personal account of the war, he mentioned this policy exactly as the Ikwerre coward elderly man said it, Achuzia gave an account on how his squad went to different families in anambra, enugu and others to forcefully recruit new teenage boys whenever the military went shortage in manpower.
Achuzia said that he only give them the maximum of two days training and start using them as soldiers thus many lost their lives because of lack of training and war experience, he said that he always wept whenever he was training the new recruits because he knew they weren't ready but he had no option as he was following the policy. This is where he said that had it been biafra had at least one month of training before the war started that they would dealt with Nigerian army so much.
Achuzia is from asaba in delta o! So can you see what damage a single lie from an Ikwerre coward father to his children is causing to the whole tribe?
I tried to educate these timid set of people but looking into their eyes I believed they can kill, I had to smartly changed the topic to be alive (always beware on how you argue with an Ikwerre man whenever you are in Port harcourt!)
Could you imagine my 34 years old Ikwerre landlord have never travelled to bayelsa the neighbouring state of his; since he was born? Even his barrister brother who only travelled to North for his NYSC and came back last year,
they don't travel to live, mingle and learn about other people's way of life, they believe what their ignorant fathers told them that ibos hate them but while I was in the east igbos always liked and regards anybody from rivers as super humans and treat them with high prestige (port harcourt first son, nwa port) without knowing they're so timid.
Seriously, graduates that I have met in other SS, SE, SW, and even northern states are usually updated, smart and intelligent but most of their port harcourt counterparts are so dull and timid which made me believe they only attended university just to learn how to read and write without improving their reasoning and wisdom. Well captured. This is what Igbos that claim Ikwerres don't want to accept. Ikwerre Igbophobia is deep rooted in generational lies about events in the civil war their grandparents and parents passed down to them. Their Igbo hate is toxic and Ndiigbo must neutralize it with even stronger hate towards them. |

At least Igbos make up 50% OR MORE of Niger Delta region, and let it be known today for those claiming Niger Delta OR whatsoever that, no inch of Igboland shall be left out IN THE BIAFRAN RESTORATION for any reason. Copied You can remove Ogba and Ikwerre from the group. The Anti Igbo sentiments from those two parts will kill the devil himself. Ukwuani - We might need to do a referendum here in the future. Some communities here are more receptive to Igbo tag than others. Aniocha - Definitely Igbos. Ndioma Ndioma. Oshimili - Ezigbote umunnem. Ndio oya adili mma. Ika - Another place we need a referendum. The likes of Ekwuoma, Abavo, Igbodo might vote to become part of Enuani and stay with us. The Agbor, Owa, etc are neck deep in Igbo denial though no way close to the toxicity emanating from Ikwerre/Ogba. Etche/Omuma- Used to be Igbo, but are getting increasingly influenced by Ikwerres. Lots of violently Igbophobic Etches now exist. There is one I know on facebook. Irondi Ukonwa or so they call him . A very bitter Igbophobic entity, you can search for his posts on facebook. Ekpeye - Same as Etche above. Igbanke- Same case as Agbor Ndoni - These ones are on the fence. But harbour no iota of Igbophobia. They are waiting for us to put our house in order, and they would come aboard. Osekwenike/Abuetor- These are all Isoko communities in Bayelsa I learnt. They are not Igbos. Isobo - They are Igbos but while they remain in Cross River, they will not be too loud about it to avoid unnecessary Igbophobia from their non Igbo neighbors. Umuezekhoha : The Igbos of Benue are proudly Igbos, they have been crying out for help from us in SE for years, yet Ohanaeze is as useless as they come, so no help on the way. How long before they decide to severe ties us and run solo, only time will tell! Opobo- It has been lost to Ijaws. It will take a lot to bring it back. They are not Igbos for now. |
