I'm not sure you are not politicizing ethnicity?

You can't runaway from reality.
Ethnicity is a Political construct.
Finland, Norway and Sweden basically speak dialects of same language, yet they all chose to be independent of each other after their attempts to form a United nation failed.

Nnaa, better stay with 100 people that love you and would die for you.
Than admit extra 3 people who are not for you and would easily help your detractors against you.

Ikwerre is not Igbo. Accepting this fact and enforcing it, will do Ndiigbo lots of favour.
Modern reality is that Ikwerre is not Igbo.
Deal with it.
Embrace who embrace you, and denigrate who is out to denigrate you

If truly you hate the Ikwerres as you said up there, then how am I talking off point. It is in your DNA to hate what does not belong to your tribe. You gate every other tribe. You despise them but cunningly make them believe you love them just inorder to take what belong to them. Your tribe is cunning and hatefilled. Wherever he finds himself he would want to dominate. This is the problems he has with the Ikwerre people. They have been battling this subjugation for decades and that was the reason Amaechi made the clarification in Item.
Your god, Nnamdi Kanu didn't just start this hate filled rhetoric, it's part of your tribe. It's in your DNA.
Until Igbos learn how to love other tribes, build bridges and make friends, he will never be president.

Rotimi Amaechi will be president if that is God's will. It is not whether he claim to be Igbo, Ikwerre or Ibibio.
Comprehension is not one of your strong points it would appear.
I don't hate or love Ikwerre.
I just want their cunning long proboscis taken off my precious Igbo blood vessels.

I opine that Ohanaeze Ndiigbo should unequivocally denounce Ikwerre and expel all Ikwerre spies holding posts in Ohanaeze Ndiigbo and all Igbo organizations worldwide!

Where in the world are people whose people openly show disdain and insult to a group allowed to be members of such group and even hold posts?

Wike has never failed to show his Igbo hate at any given opportunity. Wike as governor of Rivers State finances Ogbakor Ikwerre. Ogbakor Ikwerre is an Igbophobic organization right from the days of Elechi Amadi. Yet Amaechi is a member of this organization, likewise the rest of the other Ikwerre spies holding posts in Ohanaeze Ndiigbo.

Does the above scenario portray Ndiigbo as a people who possess the ability to strategic thinking and planning?

This is what this thread is all about.
It has never been about love or hate for Ikwerre.
It's about cleaning Igbo nation and repositioning it for better things by riding it of Bini people who have sunk their fangs into it and sucking it dry.

I don't love or hate Ikwerre, I just want them to stay off my Igbo.

Your hate and bitterness will not take you anywhere. Go and educate your people on how to play politics and stop looking for loopholes on why your people can't be president of Nigeria.

It is this same pride and arrogance that pressured Ojukwu to go to war with the Nigerian state, committing over 3 millions lives to waste.
This same behaviour is now playing out in your region again via Nnamdi Kanu. You people will abuse and insult other tribes and at the same time seek to govern the country.

Leave the Ikwerre people alone and pursue your own destiny.
You are talking off point.

My stand on Ikwerre has nothing to do with presidency.
I have been on this since 2015. Your hate and senselessness have blinded you.

You are not doing anyone any favor by voting an Igbo or non Igbo president.
Everyone will buy fuel and food prices at the same price and exchange Dollar and pounds at the same price too. Your mumu nah follow come.
If insisting that Ikwerre is not Igbo and that Ohanaeze Ndiigbo must officially make that public means hating Ikwerre, then yes I agree with you, I hate Ikwerre.

Nebuchadnezzarr:
My dear friend, why are you killing yourself over nothing. Why do you whipe up this sentiments just because you hate the Ikwerres because of their emerging political strength and relevance in the Nigerian state. Why the bitterness over something you should overlook and make your own progress.

It is this same hate and tribalism that has brought your Igbo nation to where it is today. You see every other tribe as inferior except for yours. You claim to know it all and subjugate your host.
You and your people have tried so hard to subjugate this tribe(Ikwerres) but they refused to, they refused to be annexed, is that why you are blowing hot?
He has an identity, he maintained his identity yet you won't let him be.
Like someone said up there, Ikwerres and Igbos have several similarities and traits. They inter marry and exchange culture and traditions, yet these are two distinct tribes.

Drop your bitterness, use these efforts of yours to mobilise your people. Sensitise Igbos politically to know that political power is negotiable and not gotten by threat or force.

Know this and know peace.
You are already in pains.
I don't hate or love Ikwerre. I don't see any Igbo man in Ogbakor Ikwerre. It's Ikwerre people who are all over Igbo organizations trying to reap where they didn't sow, an unfortunate situation that many Igbos are now kicking against.

I'm just angry at their blatant impersonation attempts against Ndiigbo.

No one is threatening anyone. We are simply saying that Amaechi and Ikwerre are not Igbo and that under no circumstances should they be mistaken for one.

If you see any hate from the above stand, then the problem is yours and not mine.

And where exactly is Ndiigbo? You are a clown.
Like your group is buying fuel and rising good commodities at different prices from Ndiigbo?
I mean you have more accomplished men and women and better commoners than Ndiigbo?

You really need a mental examination.

I think we should pursue Biafra to it's logical conclusion. Period!
My problem with you guys, including this op, is that your understanding of Nigerias politics is warped and stunted! Whatever you have accused Amechi is true. But how do you get out of the conundrum within a Nigeria where the whole state apparatus is assembled to checkmate you!? What are the solutions? They will never support an Igbo candidate! They never done so since 1966! So what gives?

You guys want your one Nigeria, yet you complain. Isn't that annoying!? It makes no sense to insist on Nigeria under these conditions. Buhari will foist Amechi on you all for the same reason Obasanjo foisted Jonathan;Just to spite igbos. They will never allow an igbo man there! It's the plan. They will continue like that for ages while preparing to loot your gas to develop their cities while Aba and Onitsha look like ghost towns. What are you going to do about it!?
For me, it's time to leave. Unless you want to play the role of slaves..
It is well within our means and power to reject Amaechi and Ikwerre People.
Buhari can foist Amaechi as Nigerian president.
But as far as we spell it out that Amaechi and Ikwerre are not Igbos and follow it up with actions by openly denouncing them.
We would have saved ourselves from backlash of whatever wrong Amaechi adminstration will do and would have also ensured that we can continue to legitimately remind Nigerians and the world that there has not been a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction.

And moreover the way I see it.
Amaechi stands Zero chance of emerging president if the PDP field a Northern candidate.

Because Amaechi emergence would anger Tinubu camp who would in anger not work for Amaechi success.
Amaechi will not win SW, and we in SE will not support him too.
In SS, he as an Ikwerre man was pivotal in ousting an Ijaw president, so it will be interesting to see what Ijaws make of his attempt to be president with their support when he joined the North and SW to unseat GEJ in 2015.

Because they know that Amaechi is not Igbo.
Of course. They will prefer him knowing that he and his people are actually Igbophobic.
Infact this is the whole basis of Ikwerre Igbophobia.
They hope to be Igbophobic enough to have the support of other NIGERIANs, while counting on Igbo emotionally driven Politics to still support them despite their Igbo hating ways, just by wearing Isiagu, speaking denatured Igbo, and saying they are Igbo during elections.

Ohanaeze Ndiigbo and emotionally driven Igbos have allowed Ikwerre to remain in business for too long, this charade has gone on for too long and it's about time all well meaning Igbos demand that Ikwerre be officially excommunicated from Igbo nation.

I am not Igbo because I say I am one, but my way of life, birth circumstances, language and culture say so irrespective of my personal inclination.

Denounce your heritage all you like, you only fool yourself doing so.

You don't become or cease to become what you naturally are. You can't naturally be a black man and all of a sudden change to be a white man. You don't have that power.

"Even if one fails to acknowledge his age, his age will always acknowledge itself." An Igbo addage says so.

I rest my case.
Life is all about give and take.

Being Igbo is not just about speaking Igbo Language.
It's about protecting Igbo interests, it's about being proud of being Igbo, about being proud of being in the communion with other Igbo clans.
Looking out for the benefits of each other and forging ahead with one goal.

That's what being Igbo is all about.

Ikwerre is not Igbo.
Ikwerre presence in Igbo gathering is a survival threat to Ndiigbo.
We can't be having an Igbophobic set of people in our organizations, a people whose allegiance lies in Bini and not with us.

It's almost like being a member of a group where members do monthly contributions, only to have a member who would not do monthly contributions, but nevertheless is allowed to benefit from such contributions.

What Ohanaeze Ndiigbo is doing by allowing Ikwerre in that organization is madness and doesn't project Ndiigbo as a people with capacity to think without sentiments.

Bros you have spoken well. However Amaechi can not rewrite history all by himself. Amaechi knows his history and will not sell it over a plate of porridge. The Ikwerre people of which I am one see the Igbo people as a closely related ethnic group with them. They see them as neighbor and brother. There is no history anytime that the Ikwerre people had ever accepted to be Igbo. It didn't happen before the war and will not now. Check when Ohaneze was formed and confirm if there was any Ikwerre man of note who was a member. Igbos should think about how to form a Union with related people and not how to coerce them to be Igbo. Copy from England that formed UK and Northern Ireland. The English man never forced Scottish man to be English. The same with Portugal and Spain, Malaysia and Indonesia, Poland and Ukraine, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Similarities of language exists everywhere. Ikwerre and Igbos weren't exception.
Please Ndiigbo has no relationship with Bini people.

Your inclination to being simp is laughable.

Because of Presidential slot, you quicky fall in line with the brief and skimpy suit the Fulani juntas sew for you after the war? What a simp!

Igbo is wider than you think. Never you mix geopolitical zone with indigenous people , they are miles apart.

Yourubas are in Kwara State yet they claim North Central. Igbo is not only in 4 states of south east.

Igbo is never a geopolitical zone but south east is. Do not limit the expanse of Igbo indigenous people just to sound politically correct. I understand all lowly minded set of people think women and sex. You are excused. However, real men reason beyond their loins.

South Eastern presidency is the point. Not Igbo presidency. Whoever mixes both isn't street smart.

I hope you understand.
Write from now till tomorrow.
Ikwerre is not Igbo.
This is the position of Ogbakor Ikwerre, the Apex Ikwerre body which even Amaechi that is using you emotional lots to play ping pong is part and parcel of.

I'm not speaking about Yorubas. They can go solve their problems the way they deem fit.

My disposition towards Ikwerre has nothing to do with Presidential slots.
Infact I had opined many times here that Ohanaeze Ndiigbo owe Ndiigbo a duty of officially expelling all Ikwerre in the organization and denouncing Ikwerre claim to Igbo at any point in time.

There is no wisdom in embracing someone who sees you as an enemy and would not waste time to harm you if opportunity presents.
It's actually folly.

I am also aware that there are proud Igbos in SS.
But Ikwerre is not one of them and it's about time Ohanaeze makes it official by publicly saying so.

The whole idea of an organization or group is that only members who bear the brunt of the organization sufferings and weaknesses, can actually benefit from the advantages of being members of the organization.

By allowing Ikwerre who are not Igbos, who have their own independent Igbophobic organization called Ogbakor Ikwerre, and who show disdain and hate towards Ndiigbo to be part of Igbo organizations and reap the benefits of being Igbo while being clever to escape the disadvantages of Igbo by disclaiming Igbo when it's beneficial to do so.
Ohanaeze Ndiigbo has proven it self to be senseless and have shortchanged Ndiigbo.

How dare they allow dogs partake in the meals meant for the children of the house?
Even Jesus was against such arrangement.
Ndiigbo must demand that Ohanaeze Ndiigbo address this Ikwerre conundrum once and for all.

Igbo presidency must remain Igbo presidency.
Anyone who wants to vote Amaechi or Wike can do so on their own volition but not on the pretense of Igbo presidency.

Their election won't stop the legitimate clamour for Igbo and SE presidency, it will only mean nigeria still has a 'carry over' to write on the Igbo/SE presidency question. And the question will continue to be asked until it is properly answered.

Transfer the zeal to an Igboman. If it's your turn and you can't step up then Igbo is not man enough to do what others do.

YarAdua had no money when he became President. Goodluck had no money when he was made Vice President.

It's Igbo turn, stop beating others down and front an Igboman. Put your zeal towards an eligible Igboman.

You are naive to think APC will give flag to Umahi. How old is Umahi in APC?
Amaechi is simply being cunning and keeping his cards close to his chest.
He never said he wasn't going to run.

I made this thread just to make sure that Amaechi and his Ikwerre supporters know that they will not be running on the back of Ndiigbo.

I have not beaten anyone down. I made it obvious that Amaechi deserves to contest but should be doing so as an Ikwerre, Rivers man or South South man he is.

Did anyone beat Yaradua drum before OBJ picked him as PDP candidate?
Ogbonnaya Onu, Okorocha, Ngige have been with Buhari and APC from the formation of the party, if he doesn't consider them good enough to be endorsed, maybe it should be a message to them that they cannot not escape the Igbo tag and treatment even if they choose to embrace Nigeria and Nigerians?

As for Umahi, why shouldn't APC flag him? I mean does it mean he didn't do his homework well or have assurances from inner party men before a moved from PDP to APC?
If that be the case, what do you suppose Igbo commoners do? Party primaries cannot be affected by commoners as we are not Party delegates.
Politics › Re: Amaechi Presidential Dreams: Ndiigbo And Ikwerre Political Opportunism by Igboid(op):
Donarozzi:
I authoritatively say that the above statements are wrong. Ikwerre people are Igbo. The apex Igbo organization Ohanaeze Ndiigbo clearly defined all Igbo-speaking communities (including Ikwerre) as part of Igboland. The point is that Ohanaeze Ndiigbo is the main body that can tell us what constitutes Igboland, and their definition is in line with ancestral and historical records.

It would be wrong to deny any Igbo-speaking community from the South-South when it comes to political appointments, as if a "valid" Igbo candidate must be from the South-East region. This is totally wrong. Let us also remember that the geopolitical delineations like South-East and South-South are not enshrined in the Nigerian constitution, thereby rendering the geopolitical regions arbitrary. So, if we are talking about a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction, it means that the candidate can be selected from any part of Igboland irrespective of state of origin and irrespective of geopolitical region (since the geopolitical regions are not in the constitution).

So, if Amaechi becomes the consensus presidential candidate, he is a valid candidate of Igbo extraction since he is from Ikwerre, and Ikwerre is Igbo. If he actually becomes the Igbo flagbearer, what Ohanaeze Ndiigbo needs to do is to advise him to encourage Ogbakor Ikwerre to come out fully and declare that Ikwerre is Igbo. Secondly, Ohanaeze Ndiigbo should reach two agreements with him in writing in order to support him or any other Igbo candidate for that matter: (1) he must do everything in his power to keep Nigeria one as a sovereign country if he becomes president, and (2) he must bring all parts of Igboland under the umbrella of one geopolitical region through boundary adjustment and state creation, given the fact that Igboland was deliberately portioned into different regions following the civil war.
Ohanaeze Ndiigbo is a deficient organization for allowing non Igbos like Ikwerre in her midst.
Ohanaeze is out touch with reality and have actually short changed Ndiigbo by allowing people like Ikwerre who have made it obvious they are not Igbo and have taken every single opportunity to denigrate Ndiigbo whenever they could.

My next thread would be on Ohanaeze weakness and how it has emboldened Ikwerre Igbophobia and manipulation of Ndiigbo.

Ohanaeze Ndiigbo is run by old Igbo generation who are obviously still living in pre civil war era and have refused to move on with current realities.
Amaechi and Ikwerre are not Igbos, nobody( not Yoruba, not Hausa-Fulani) stopped Ikwerre from being Igbo. This is a decision Ikwerre made on her own and must be made to pay for it. Infact it wouldn't even be a problem if they are not Igbos, but the problem is that they are Igbophobic and are out on a secret agenda to further balkanize and humiliate Ndiigbo.

Ohanaeze have compromised the political and economic growth and geographical integrity of Ndiigbo by allowing Bini renegades in their midst and even letting them in our secret chambers. They have allowed Ikwerre to have their cake and still eat it and by so doing have made mockery of Ndiigbo.

Ogbonnaya Onu is an Igboman to the core and has been a very loyal and productive member of CPC, pre-APC days, and remains steadfast with Buhari in APC. He stood with Buhari through series of losses in presidential contests and when others abandoned Buhari's failure to seek glory elsewhere this man stayed put.

What stops Buhari from using consensus to declare Chief Onu his successor?

Stop wasting spit on a bastard Igbo, focus on a true son of the soil and make noise with your people to bring Onu out into eligibility.
Ogbonnaya Onu has to show interest to contest before Buhari loyalty can be tested.
Moreover, Politics is all about money.
Onu has no money to rival a former governor of a state like Rivers who probably looted and have a healthy stash of funds stored somewhere that could fund a presidential election.
Patry delegates are only swayed by money.

I think Umahi should be Igbo best choice in APC.

I dont think this article is necessary. The Presidency of Nigeria is based on geopolitical zone, not ethnicity

If the Presidency becomes about ethnic group, there are over 300 ethnic groups in Nigeria. So it does not really matter if Chibuike Rotimi Ameachi is Igbo, Ikwerre, Ijaw or Ogonl. If he runs, he will running as someone from the South/South geopolitical zone regardless of what ethnic group he professes
Amaechi and Ikwerre are not Igbos and it matters that Ndiigbo make it obvious for all and sundry to take note of.

Politics › Re: Amaechi Presidential Dreams: Ndiigbo And Ikwerre Political Opportunism by Igboid(op):
Some Igbos opine that maybe supporting Amaechi will bring Ikwerre back to the Igbo fold.
But this is a very flawed perception. One of key reasons Ikwerre rejected Igbo tag post civil war is their conviction that they are better off without the Igbo tag.
In other words, they felt they are stronger in Nigeria when they stand alone. And to some extent, considering how Igbo political fortunes suffered post civil war, their gamble have somewhat paid off.
If we allow one of them become president by cunningly claiming he is one of us when we know he isn't, we would only have strengthened Ikwerre resolve that they are better without us.
I mean why should they become Igbo when they can emotionally manipulate politically blind Igbos into allowing them reap the benefits of being Igbo while still retaining their non Igbo and even Igbophobic stand?
Infact Igbo detractors would happily support Amaechi and Ikwerre people to hijack Igbo presidency because they too know deep inside that Ikwerres are Igbophobic and are by no means Igbo. We would indeed be the real losers in such arrangement and the joke would be on us.
Supporting an Ikwerre president in Amaechi will not bring them closer to the Igbo, it will only feed their vain ego and overbloated sense of importance.
We would have scored own goal when we do so.

Finally, if as an Igbo you find Amaechi a worthy presidential candidate, please do support him by all means, but never do so because you think he and Ikwerre are Igbos, because they are not. Always be clear that Amaechi and Ikwerre are non Igbos, and that Amaechi presidency will be as good as Tinubu, Atiku or GEJ presidency as far as Ndiigbo are concerned. Please do note that there are some proud Igbo groups in SS, but Ikwerre is not one of them. Any Ikwerre person that think otherwise should take his petition to his Eze back home who can then take him to Ogbakor Ikwerre to clear him.
This Ikwerre deception has gone on for too long and must now stop.

Ndiigbo would have committed political suicide if they don't come out now and denounce Amaechi and his cunning Bini Ikwerre people.
These people are not Igbos and have taken enough time to humiliate Ndiigbo and tell the whole world they are not Igbo.
Those Igbos still counting Ikwerre as Igbo are simply being pathetic simps.
This shouldn't be tolerated.

If you are an Igbo and you like Rotimi, then by all means vote for him as you would vote an Ijaw man like GEJ, Yoruba man like OBJ, Fulanis like Yaradua and Atiku.
But never you vote for him under the sentiment that he or Ikwerre people are Igbos or try to pass of his candidature as that Igbo, because they are not.
Never give non Igbos the chance to claim that Amaechi and Ikwerre presidency, is same as Igbo presidency.
Because doing this will be tantamount to self deception and it will take us no where.
Politics › Re: Amaechi Presidential Dreams: Ndiigbo And Ikwerre Political Opportunism by Igboid(op):
First of all. It must be stated clearly that as of today, Ikwerre is not officially Igbo.
The Apex Ikwerre socio cultural and Political organization which all Ezes and elites of Ikwerre are members of, the Ogbakor Ikwerre, hold the Opinion that Ikwerre is an independent Ethnic nationality with origin from Bini empire!
Both Amaechi and all so called Igbo claiming Ikwerre people in Ohanaeze Ndiigbo and other Igbo organizations who are deceiving emotionally driven Igbos, are also members of Ogbakor Ikwerre and have their own kings back home as well as their community leaders as bonafide members of Ogbakor Ikwerre whose Igbophobic stand on issues are no secret to other Nigerians.
It must also be well stated that Amaechi has at no time written a public address to Ogbakor Ikwerre condemning their Anti Igbo stance, instead Amaechi sponsored Ogbakor Ikwerre when he was a governor of Rivers State.

Furthermore, Amaechi at different times in history has never missed the opportunity to disclaim being Igbo, cast doubts on Igbo aspirations, or simply address Ndiigbo as "they".

Below was Amaechi stance on his Igbo identity in a public function held in Igboland :
"The highlight of the event, for me, was when Item High Chief, Prof. Joe Irukwu, took the microphone to personally honour and introduce Amaechi when it was his turn to say a few nice words for Arumma. Irukwu described Amaechi correctly as the “high-performing” Governor of Rivers and a “true Igbo son”. But when Amaechi took the mike he “corrected” Irukwu and emphasised: “I am an Ikwerre man!” That really ruffled feathers".

On Igbo presidency, this is what Amaechi Rotimi had to say.
In an interview with The Sun, Amaechi said that the Igbo have nothing to bring to the negotiating table for 2023 presidency.

“I don’t know what they will do now for voting against the APC,” he said.

“For refusing to support the APC, they cannot come to the table to demand the presidency slot.

“For people like us in the APC, if the Igbo had come and voted Buhari, they would boldly tell Mr President and the National Chairman of the party that presidency should go the Southeast since the South-south; South-west and North-west have produced president. What argument would the Southeast come up with now to convince anybody that they deserve the slot for 2023 president?”

Pay attention to Amaechi deliberate use of "they" to refer to the Igbo.
No one refers to a group they consider themselves part of with "they".
Interesting to also note that Amaechi doesn't believe that Ndiigbo should ask APC for presidential slot, reason being by his twisted logic that SE despite having a state controlled by APC , didn't give majority of the votes to Buhari during the elections.
Politics › Amaechi Presidential Dreams: Ndiigbo And Ikwerre Political Opportunism by Igboid(op):
As the race for who will occupy Aso rock come 2023 when Buhari tenure elapses heats up, many would be contestants for the soon to be vacant throne have started indicating their intentions, while others are still studying the political climate before joining the ring.
It is on this note that I decided to pen this article to wake Ndiigbo from their sentiment driven slumber especially with respect to the possible emergence of Rotimi Amaechi as APC flag bearer after some whisperings have emerged that he could possibly be Buhari chosen candidate.

Amaechi Rotimi is no stranger to Nigerian politics, his foray into Abuja politics started in 2014 when he decamped to APC where he played a big role in helping Buhari and APC unseat GEJ from his office in 2015.
Being in control of the oil rich Rivers state, Amaechi had enormous financial muscle to bring to proceedings and never wasted time to deploy them in favor of APC. This helped him clinch the ministerial post in Buhari cabinet which he has held since then until now.

Being such a trusted ally of Buhari who helped him to power, many have always believed that he nurses a presidential ambition which Buhari might feel obligated to oblige to as a token of gratitude. However there is also a big matter of Tinubu who also played a big role in Buhari ascension to power.
As expected, Tinubu and his supporters have at all times seen Amaechi as a big threat to their 2023 presidential ambitions.
Consequently, it is not a surprise that they are rattled by the prospects of him being Buhari preferred candidate for APC. But the question is: Should Ndiigbo also be worried about Amaechi emergence?

The answer to the above question is Yes and No!
If Amaechi is contesting as an Ikwerre/Rivers man or South South man, then Ndiigbo should have no cause for alarm.
But if he is going to compete under the pretense of being Igbo, then every well meaning Igbo should be worried and must fight against that.

Buhari or whoever that is projecting Amaechi must know that Amaechi presidency will not be accepted as Igbo presidency.
Simply because, Ikwerre people are not Igbo and we know that deep inside, Amaechi doesn't consider himself Igbo.

Amaechi as typical of his Ikwerre people have many times refered to Ndiigbo as "they".
He had also corrected people who tried to call him Igbo in public.
Ogbakor Ikwerre remains an rabidly Igbophobic organization, whose central message is that Ikwerre is an independent ethnic nationality who originated from Bini!
Amaechi is a high table sitting Ogbakor Ikwerre member even as today.
He has never for once challenged this official Ogbakor Ikwerre stand, infact Amaechi sponsored Ogbakor Ikwerre as a governor of Rivers state and was so Igbophobic as a governor of Rivers State that even Ogbakor Ikwerre at one point had to tender an apology to Ndiigbo on behalf of Amaechi Igbophobic rhetorics.

Mr Rotimi has the right to contest for Nigerian president.
But let him do so as an Ikwerre man he is and as a Rivers man or South South man.

Let him and his Ikwerre people stop with the silly Igbo claim.
Let him stay in his corner.
We know Igbos of SS, Amaechi and his Ikwerre people are not one.
The era of being "Opportunist Igbo" is gone.
Ndiigbo should and will not allow such folly go on further.

Amaechi is a cunning Ikwerre man.
He is Igbo when claiming so is favorable and Ikwerre when doing so is helpful too.

He is not an Igbo man.
Ikwerre is not Igbo.
