Above is the official list of Biafran provinces and their administrators. Flyingngel, can you show me the Igbo man administering a non Igbo province there? I have come to understand that anti Biafran sentiments amongst Biafra hating Igbos and Biafran hating non Igbo Easterners thrive on ignorance. Usually from ignorance induced stories handed down to them by parents or outright lies their parents for whatever reasons best known to them decided to hand down to them. I have even heard an Efik accuse Igbos of re naming Calabar to New Onitsha during the war and imposing Igbo administrators on Efik people, he swore his parents told him so. When I asked him for written evidence of such events, he had none, but he was angry and accused me of being a typical arrogant Igbo man for telling him point blank that his father was liar. It was ok for him to level lies against my forerunners but not Ok for me to point out that his father lied to him. |

Yyeske:Who are your people? You definitely have your say, but as a minority voice, you can't have your way. |
Yyeske:Your Nigerian masters already know what the outcome of such referendum would be, reason they are not comfortable with it, but would rather kill innocent protesters. Wouldn't it be more satisfying to put IPOB and MASSOB to shame, by conducting a referendum on Biafra than shooting innocent protesters with all the negative international media attention? Don't you think your Northern and Yoruba masters know what you already know but is only delusionally refusing to accept? I remember that your master, Gowon rejected a similar option of referendum offered to him by Ojukwu in 1968, but rather chose to come to Bia*** with your fellow Nigerians to shoot at any thing that moves in Biafra. |
Yyeske:Yes, majority of Igbo people are pro Bia***, this is a no brainer. |
" The day I unfollowed the Radio Biafra page on Facebook was when i read a comment from an IPOB requesting that they all should be supplied arms and he is willing to kill anyone around him even his parents if they dont support Biafra. I saw the comment weeks before Nnamdi Kanu was arrested. I just couldn't believe how such a large number of industrious Igbos I have come to love could easily be instigated and brainwashed to hate their fellow Nigerians and even wish death on their perceived enemies. It was really disappointing and heartbreaking. You can go about your agitation, but abusing people from your own tribe who dont support your agitation, calling them sabos, is just not the way to go" And what do you have to say about your fellow Nigerians ( read Yorubas and Northerners) who cheer over the news of murder of innocent unarmed MASSOB and IPOB members by Nigerian security personnels since 1999 till date? No Igbo need to be brainwashed to hate Nigeria. All you need do is tell them the history of Biafra and how Nigerian military with the support of the Nigerian people( Yorubas and North) massacred all over Nigeria their people and bombed their lands. Show them documentaries of starving Biafran children, the bombing of innocent Biafran children and women in market places by the Egyptian airplanes hired by the British for Nigeria. Tell them the history of 20 pounds policy and the indigenization policy that followed it, tell them about the boundary adjustment programmes aimed at stripping their region of sea access and Igbo speaking crude Oil rich lands, etc. From my experience, before you are through with these, you must have created a Bia*** with a rabid hatred for Nigeria and Nigerians out of the average innocent Igbo man. This is not brainwashing, this is exposing them to their history that the Nigerian education system attempted to keep away from them, this is awakening the Igbo in them, this is connecting their past with their present, above all, this is filling a vacuum in them they never knew existed, this is giving them an identity. This was exactly what Nnamdi Kanu did with Radio Bia***. |
. "It's a big shame that we do not have the likes of Tinubu, OBJ et al (in the SW) or IBB, Atiku, Buhari, Shagari ( in the North) when compared to the East to collectively pilot the affairs of the igbo race " So these kleptomaniacs that looted one Nigeria to its current zoo status are the best leaders Yorubas and the North can offer? Well, this is more reason I see Nigeria as a burden to the Igbo nation. Obviously our idea of what good credible leaders should be, and insistence on not accepting political jobbers and looters as leaders are in direct opposite to what is obtainable in Arewa -Odualan. |
Yyeske:Why should all Igbos support IPOB or Biafra? Are we robots? What matters is that majority of us are in for Bia***, and would support anything or anybody working for the realization of that dream. Not all Britons voted for Brexit, all they needed to make Brexit happen is the majority. Those of them that want Europe have the option of migrating to any European country of their origin and naturalize. Only the Igbo Nigerian political jobbers, their wards, cronies and those feeding fat off Nigeria currently are pro Nigerian, and we know these people motivation are selfish ones. Yea, we also have few Ignorant Igbos against Bia***, but all in all, the naysayers are in minority and a referendum can always put this in light. |
Abagworo:Keep telling yourself those lies. Part of the restructuring is based on equitable representation in the NASS and other government bodies, which the current 36 states structure created by the North stands against. Secondly is the issue of total resource control, which again will mean less finances to financially non viable states up North. The only people who would fight over the six geopolitical zone structure proposed by Ohanaeze are the North and their co travellers. Why should anyone be merging Abia with Imo without total resource control and loose center? to what end? |
onepluone:Nigeria died in 1966. The North( with the help of the British and their allies ) created one Nigeria in 1970. Buhari would be stupid to implement the confab result. If I were a Northerner and in his position, I know I wouldn't. Why should the North give away its current advantage on a platter of gold without a fight? North current stranglehold on One Nigeria was won on the battle fields, only fools think they can take it away from the North or make the North give it away without a fight. These are Muslims were are talking about, add Negroid to the mix, and the prognosis gets even worst. Restructuring of Nigeria is never going to happen, but if forced to happen, will be equivalent to asking for secession, as both will lead to war. |
Flyingngel:You father was either ignorant or lied to you. Biafra was divided into provinces and Each province had an indigenous administrator picked from amongst the people. In such arrangement, a man from Onitsha province couldn't even be an administrator in Aba province, even though they were both Igbo provinces. Let alone an Igbo man administering a non Igbo province like Ibibio province. Though I respect your wishes of wanting an independent Ibibio nation, but you must not build your own nation by lying against Ndiigbo and levelling false allegations against us. You can have your Ibibio nation without denigrating or lying against Ndiigbo. May God bless you. |

onepluone:I don't think anyone can actually islamize anyone in Nigeria, that can't happen, not in this modern era, atleast not at gun point. But I believe that Nigeria is a burden to Igboland, one that we must shed off, if we must soar as a people. This is my basis for rejection of One Nigeria. Any push for restructuring of Nigeria is a waste of time, because it won't sail, the North dropped her "Araba" ( secession) chants for "One Nigeria" chant in a matter weeks, not because they loved/ love Nigeria, but because of what they stood to gain from Nigerian unity. They moulded/ structured one Nigeria from 1970-1999 to enable them extract those gains. Any attempt to restructure Nigeria would rationally be seen as a move to deprive them of those gains, which was the only reason they signed up for one Nigeria, and would hence be interpreted to them as a demand for secession, as they would secede themselves without those gains. In the eyes of the North, this is the equation. Demand for Restructuring = Demand secession= Demand for war. |
onepluone:One thing I know is that, Ndiigbo can never share a nation with Yorubas and the North for long. We have no basis whatever to co exist with them. Those Igbos for their emotional/ economic/ sentimental selfish attachments to Yorubaland and North that preach One Nigeria, will have to make peace with the fact. They always can naturalize in Arewa Oduanistan country, where their love for their Yoruba and Northern brothers would be watered and made to even grow more. |
omenka:And how exactly is that any of your concerns? As an Igede man you claim to be, shouldn't you be more worried about the Idomas assimilating your small inconsequential ethnic group or the Fulanis chasing you out of your ancestral lands? |
onepluone:In Igboland, even woman can aspire for greater heights. Adaure has been a tall Orji on this forum that had defended the Igbo honour and prestige with every fibre of her being against Igbophobic persons and groups. However, I noticed that there is this general ignorance amongst the educated Igbos about the issues surrounding Bia*** and IPOB. This ignorance stems from General lack of knowledge about Bia*** history and what IPOB stands for on their parts. I have had to individually educate my educated Igbo colleagues on the Bia*** history and what IPOB represents, and I can assure, today I have made them all pro Bia*** or atleast non anti Bia***. What Adaure need is education on what IPOB stands for, not what she thinks IPOB stands for or what her anti Bia*** friends told her IPOB is all about. She definitely doesn't deserve being insulted, or her Igbo identity or loyalty questioned. Her loyalty to Igboland has never been in doubt. Our work is cut out. May God help us all. |
LoveDecay:Yes, Ojukwu demanded for a plebiscite to be conducted in all non Igbo speaking parts of Biafra. A request Gowon turned down, knowing that the outcome won't be to his ( Gowon) or Nigeria's favour. You really are an ignorant fellow, aren't you? |
It is very commonsensical to see why Ex-Gov Attah will not support Biafra. Ex-Govs in Akwa-Ibom and many states are entitled to lifelong pensions, health insurance and Allowances running into hundreds of millions of naira. Like many elites, the status quo feeds their bellies, they don't care if anyone else is dying in 'one nigeria'. People like Attah can't make sacrifices. It must be their bellies and nothing more. End of discussion. You got Attah figured out to a T. Attah is not alone in this selfish greed derived loved for one Nigeria, Igbo elites are equally involved. If you kill Nigeria and create new entities, who is going to pay them the current rip offs they get from Nigeria in form of pensions, contracts and positions which they sell off to highest bidders. What's the guarantee that they will still remain the power brokers in the emerging new order? Seeing as the people already know they are all corrupt and were part of the people that turned the Lugard entity to a zoo? Imagine, Nigeria even pay those who got to power through the gun like GMB before he became PMB, IBB, Gowon, Abdulsalam, past Military governors, etc pensions and other packages for stealing the people's mandate and looting the country blind. If Abacha were alive, not only would he have kept his loots, he would also be receiving millions in pensions and other packages. |
SlayerSupreme:Let me also add to what Abagworo had already said. The Ekpeye man is not insecure, unlike the Ikwerre and the rest of the denials. He is mature and can easily differentiate the Igbo reaching out to them from the Igbo trying to claim their lands. He is not Igbophobic, and won't take any offense if you call him Igbo , he would just politely correct you by telling you that he prefers being Ekpeye. He doesn't have made up stories of how the Igbo stole his lands or maltreated him. His quest for distinctiveness doesn't have any iota of Igbophobia attached to it. What's more, these people stood with us in Biafra till the very end, never for once betrayed us. I feel sad that currently, their towns have been under the siege of cultism currently ravaging Rivers state. I have been a member of their facebook page for close to a year now, and have closely monitored their sentiments and life outlook. I wasn't disappointed with what I saw. Good people anyday, anytime. |
nerodenero:Ignoramus! Don't Catalonians display Catalonia national flag in Camp nou, during Barcelona matches? Do you see any useless Spanish security personnel harassing them for doing that? You don't force unity. Unity can never be by force. |
After a march demanding the release of those detained was turned back by soldiers, three more protesters were shot dead including Nwashuku Okeri, Ghadafi Ezeifile and Onwinkron Ibe. The head of Yenagoa rebels- Chief Onwinkron Ibe- was burned alive in his mansion on December 28, 1998. Amongst his family members to flee the premises before complete ruins was his only son, Desmond Ibe. Are you see what I am sawing? ![]() Any explanation for the highlighted? The Ijaws truly interacted with Ndiigbo alot in the pre colonial and colonial days. What happened to our once peaceful and happy co existence ![]() Nice thread, OP. Atleast I couldn't dictate any iota of Igbophobia from the entire lengthy write up. |
... |
Yujin:Hahaha. A ghum onye ohee mbe anyi. ![]() Don't mind, just have links with Orumba south. Have cousins from there. I know you are from Umunze. |
laudate:You are another deluded Edoid. "In Enugu State, Nsukka people behave more like their Benue neighbors, While in Anambra Northern they behave more like Igala, Also in Abia state Sub groups close to Cross river adopted Cross river culture, even in my mother's Clan "Arochukwu" they speak Efik, Ibibio, Ekoi and Igbo, they have Ekpe and Ekpo " It's obvious that "they" the writer was referring to are Igbo speaking groups at the borders of Igboland territories with non Igbo speaking people, he gave examples of Nsukka and Aros. Only a deluded Edoid would interpret his use of "they" in the case of Anambra North zone, to mean non Igbo speaking Igala settlements there, when it's obvious he was talking about Igbo speaking groups with Igala influence. |
laudate:And where did he speak anything about the Igalas in the Anambra Kogi border? But you rushed to tell us about that, like we don't already know. You Edoids should mind your own business and stay away from Igbo matters. |
In Enugu State, Nsukka people behave more like their Benue neighbors, While in Anambra Northern they behave more like Igala, Anambra North. Ossamala, Obeagwe, Nzam, etc are all in Anambra North and are all Igbo speaking towns with Igala influence. They are the Igbos he was referring to. |

nextdoor84:Now, this is a breathe of fresh air. This is how real men reason. ![]() Not these my papa tell me say we migrated from Bini kids that can't for once apply rationality to arrive at a logical conclusion. |
laudate:And this is supposed to be a new information? Get out! Towns like Ossomala, Nzam, Obeagwe, etc are proud Igbos, yet with Igala influences, that's what the writer was alluding to. Why is it that you cursed edoids can't stay off Igbo matters? |
Udmaster:Have you not heard about the Devil's curse? The devil will not burn alone in hell, he is hell bent on driving innocent souls into hell to burn with him. Dude is not comfortable enough in his Ika identity crisis, he is hell bent on dragging Enu ani alongside his Ika group. |
chukzyblingz:Esogbue doesn't consider himself an Igbo man, that's all there is about it. He considers himself an Anioma man and sees the promotion of perceived heterogeneous origin of Anioma as a leeway to promote distinctiveness big enough in his myopic eyes to create a new ethnic out of Anioma. The few non biased articles Esogbue has are those he wrote before he became consumed with Igbophobia. He reminds me of Relechi Ramadi. There is nothing erudite about Esogbue or his concoction of history, Mordi write ups and articles are always deeper, more detailed and more Laden with facts based on historical research, he is many levels ahead of Esogbue in all ramifications. Ndiigbo don't have time for inconsequential beings, we only step in when folks start projecting Igbophobia. Only you know where you got the idea of Ndiigbo seeing whoever that doesn't believe in what we believe in as Enemies. By the way, you have failed to show me how Ndiigbo tried to distort Ika history. I am still waiting to hear about it. |
