AlexBells:Ogoni deserves better. Majority of their people and leaders unlike Ijaws were pro Biafra before and during the war. Saro Wiwa was to Ogoni what Asika Ukpabi was to Ndiigbo post civil war. They were traitors who were outsiders before the war but were imposed on the people post civil war. The only difference is that why Igbos being a majority ethnic group rejected Asika,Ogoni youths embraced Wiwa post civil war, thinking that he could use his links to Hausa-Fulani and Yorubas to secure them resource control. Turned out Wiwa was living in fools paradise. The people under counsel of retired and emasculated but yet well respected elders like Kogbara started rejecting Wiwa battle with his one time friends (the FG controlled by Hausa-Fulani and Yorubas). He couldn't accept rejection, so he and his boys started using terror to force Ogoni people to fall in line with his dictates. That was how they murdered Chief Kogbara and other Ogoni chiefs, which led to his arrest, trial and death sentence by firing squad. |
Ekealterego:Wiwa was a murderer who murdered Kogbara, a pro Biafra Ogoni leaders who opposed his stupid anti Igbo and pro NIGERIA stand. When the war ended, the Hausa-Fulanis and their Yoruba co travellers made Wiwa head of Ogoni ahead of the likes of Kogbara who was pro Biafra. Wiwa thought he had hit gold mine, until it became obvious to him that the Hausa-Fulani are not as soft as the Igbos. He started asking for resource control, they told him No! He wanted to rile up the entire Ogoni against Nigerian Army, Chief Kogbara rejected such stupid step that could get them exterminated, afterall Kogbara saw what the Hausa-Fulanis and their Yoruba partners were after when he sided Biafra while Igbo-hate filled Wiwa bit his nose to spite his face, thinking he was doing the Igbos by helping Hausa-Fulani and Yorubas to defeat Biafra. Note that Chief Kogbara was Biafra high commisioner at London and worked hard for Biafra international recognition. It's for his sake and the sake of other thousands of Ogonis who enrolled into Biafra Army to help us win the war while senseless Wiwa blinded by stupid Igbophobia worked as fifth columnist for the Nigerian side, that I have soft spot for Ogoni. They deserved better, but Igbophobia driven Saro Wiwa did them "dirty". Anyway, when Kogbara refused his(Saro Wiwa) attempt to use Ogoni masses against the FG, Wiwa got his MOSOP urchins to murder Kogbara and other Ogoni chiefs who supported Kogbara. He was arrested by the FG for the murder of the Ogoni chiefs by his boys and was rightly executed. He wasn't killed for being a champion for resource control, he was killed so that Kogbara family and the families of Ogoni chiefs Wiwa and his boys killed could get justice and peace. Read this article by Chief Kogbara daughter:https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/11/an-appeal-for-my-fathers-remainsas-mosop-seeks-for-saro-wiwas-exoneration/amp/ It is an injustice to Kogbara family and other Ogoni chiefs Saro Wiwa and his violent MOSOP urchins murdered in cold blood, that Saro Wiwa is being called a Hero and not a cold worthless murderer he is. But this is NIGERIA where a genocidists graces 20 naira note and have an international airport named after him. So I guess Saro Wiwa is in good company. cc: Slayerforever Alexbells Eastlink, Bkayy |
Ekealterego:The guy is making me laugh. I doubt many of those IPOB guys and indeed their leader MNK know half of the things we know about these things. |
Sergio101:Those Ijaws are not "your brother", if you are indeed Igbo. I don't know when Ndiigbo will wake up from this self imposed slumber. Ndiigbo have no brother in Nigeria let alone Ijaws being one. Ijaw is nothing but an expansionist and aggressive neighbor. We must see them as nothing more or less than above. Anything else would be self deceit which will leave us shortchanged in the end. I have been singing this song since 2016. Onye nwelu nti, ya nuru. |
LegendHer0:There is no data on Igbo, Yoruba speakers on that USA official site. Quit clowning. |
RockhouseCafe:Don't be deceived. That graph there doesn't exist in the USA official report. Only him knows where he manufactured them from. Follow the link he provided and see for yourself. That this thread is allowed to still exist is an indictment on NL handlers integrity. |
AdakaBoro8:You are teaching your dead language in schools, while Opobo mothers are teaching their children their Igbo language at home from birth to adulthood. The joke is on you. |
BKayy:Okay. We need to do more to reteach our people there. I don't understand this strong affinity by Igbos to claim exotic origin stories from kingdoms outside Igboland. If it's not Igala, it's Bini, or it's far away Israel. Someone needs to conduct a study on this mass induced self hate and need to get attached to perceived places of power (Monarchical societies in case of Bini and Igala) and modern power in terms of Israel. It's very disturbing. Imagine even Zik himself was inflicted with this same mental illness. |
DOTian:What is your point nwokem? I hope you are not an IPOB member with your funny Multiethnic BIAFRA agenda with expansionist minorities surrounding us? |
BKayy:Interesting. I just remembered the song "Oleku" by Ice prince. Lol! Thanks for the history lesson on evolution of Oluku/Onuku from Oleku. Funny thing is that it is used as far as Abia and Imo state. Being parts of Igboland who had no interactions with Igala, yet Oluku/Onuku is used to refere to someone behaving in a stupid manner. Very interesting. More interesting is that in Anambra dialects where there is a replacement of L for N in words, as seen in Ana for Ala, Enu for Elu, the L in Oleku quickly changed to Onuku, while the Igbos in southern part who use L for N, despite having no contact with Igalas, ended up rechanging the Onuku they heard from Ndi ANAMBRA to Oluku, and by so doing ended up with a word closer to the original Oleku word than the Anambra people closer to Igala. Language evolution is very interesting. |
BKayy:Yes! The Igbos considered them as being mentally inferior, which is wrong. Hence "Onuku/Oluku Igala" came to mean in Igbo parlance, a derogatory term for a stupid someone. I understand where you are coming from. And this term was coined by Agulueri and other Northern Igbos. If they considered Igalas of lower mental capacity to them, where then is all these Oboli Onoli and General Ajida stories coming from? Somethings are not adding up. We need to spend big on archeology in Igboland. Too bad we are trapped in a retrogressive country and are hence still in survival stage of existence. |
BKayy:Yes! Igalas in Anambra came in as either weaponized Invaders ie Igala militants who lost wars to Jukun Invaders and Binis, but trooped down to Northern Igboland with their superior weaponry, taking Igbo communities at that border by surprise. The Igalas were not stronger, they were just more battle ready and took these Igbo communities by surprise. Ask the Northern Igbos. Their folklores speak of such Igala invasions. There was the one of Onoli Oboli and the one of General Ajida. These were the major Igala Warlords that disturbed Igbo communities in this part of Igboland causing massive migration downsouth for those who got tired of the constant wars and battles. Notice how sparsely populated those parts of Igboland (Northern Anambra and Northern Enugu) is. It isn't by coincidence. War cost lives. From my rational deduction, I deduce that not all those Igbo communities were able to successfully stage a comeback like the Aboriginal Igbos of Nzam did. I think many of them had to accept the Igalas as their superiors who in time ended up making the history of these places to be history of Igala Invaders and not history of Aboriginal Igbos who had to deal with Igala aggression. |
BKayy:Well Nzam history spoke of a militant General Ajida who invaded the Igbo community of Nzam from Idah causing the Igbo villages to scatter However they later regrouped and conquered the Igala Invaders. Those who refused to surrender were killed and those who surrendered were assimilated as Indigenes of Nzam till today. I wouldn't know how true the story is, but the current King of Nzam is from the blood line of those who retook the town from Igala and this was their official story. It could be false or true, but it's plausible and rational. Yes I understand many Igala refugees trooped into Northern Igboland following their wars with Jukuns and Binis and were accommodated by indigenous Igbos those places. |
Danjikanbauchi:You IPOB are part of the problem. You complicate issues with your brainless multi ethnic BIAFRA postulations. It must be stated. The Truth pill is bitter, but is very necessary for healing. |
LegendHero:Where in that link did you get your dubious graphs from? Are you this devilish?
|
Danjikanbauchi:MNK didn't do any thing. He was busy telling you that Igbo and Igala are one, because their women tie two pieces of cloth. While MnK was busy claiming Igala are Biafrans, Igalas were busy working hard to snuff out any Igbo claim to indigenous existence in Kogi State. Your MnK did nothing about it, because he was more interested in licking minorities ass to have them accept his misguided Multiethnic BIAFRA. You people should leave MNK out of this. We are talking about uniting Igbo speaking groups to form one indivisible Republic of Igboland, and this means we must battle hard with Igalas, Binis and Ijaws, all of who have laid claim to parts of Igbo speaking realm at the periphery of Igbo hinterland with ambitious intents of de-Igbonizing the people, turning them against us in SE and claiming them and their lands for themselves Our mission is not same with those of your MNK who was more interested in pampering these expansionist minorities while they appropriate parts of Igbo speaking groups for themselves. Our war is both psychological and tactical. Don't get things twisted. MNK efforts are not to be ignored, but he wasn't without faults, and what we are treating in this thread is his major fault, he left key issues and was chasing shadows. Charity must begin at home. Republic of Igboland must be first and foremost well established and all Invaders nullified before we can speak of reaching out to friendly minorities for alliance. A man whose house is on fire cannot be chasing rats. |
Pass11:More concrete effort needs to be made. Ohanaeze Ndiigbo has really failed us. |
nisai:Nothing to calm down on. The OP and his gang are dubious Yoruba people out to tarnish Igbo image and accuse us of things they themselves are guilty of. This thread is a fraud. This thread only still exists because the Yoruba mods running this site are without shame or integrity. Because this thread is a pure misinformation and distortion of facts to serve a preconceived agenda that was hoped to serve as a foundation to malign and denigrate Ndiigbo. |
Factshunter:Don't be stupid. No such graph is in that link. The link only recognize "Nigerian" and not Igbo, Yoruba or any other group. |
Pass11:Interesting. When was this movie acted? Ogolo is a typical Unique Opobo/Bonny surname. |
afube:Why Tiv? We don't share boundaries with them. I would replace them with Igala and also add Bini. Of course they are all minorities and can't do anything to Ndiigbo, except that our presence in Nigeria have allowed them to stand on tall shoulders of Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba Muslims to challenge us. To get to them, we have to get ourselves unentangled from Hausa-Fulani and Yorubas, these expansionist Minorities know this as well, which is why most them are violently anti BIAFRA and hold strongly unto NIGERIA even when they have more to lose in Nigeria more than Igbos, but they need the Yorubas and Hausa-Fulani for their expansionist agenda towards Igboland and naturally favour a union that have those two entities in it, to keep us curtailed from our goal of reuniting all Igbo speaking realm as one. The above situation is why I questioned the mental capacity of IPOB members preaching Multiethnic BIAFRA with those minorities. They are either mentally retarded or they took these expansionist minorities (Igala, Bini and Igala) surrounding Ndiigbo for fools, which unfortunately for them, these expansionist minorities are no fools. They have a clear cut Agenda which poses a direct threat to the structural integrity of Igboland, and cannot be treated with kids gloves by Ndiigbo and neither should we pretend we can share a country with them unless we are willing to concede these Igbo speaking territories to them, which to me is impossible. |
They wouldn't do anything, they can only bark. This is my issue with Ndiigbo. We are too soft. The few Igala people in Anambra, we respect them and accord them their independent status. We even have news in Igala in Anambra state radio station to carry them along, despite the fact that these lots came to our land via invasion by the Igala general known in history as General Ajida. We forgave them and accepted their descendants. But Igala people don't want the Igbos indigenous to Kogi East to be recognized as independent indigenous ethnicity in the state. They want them to be forcefully tagged as Igala. Igala is a minority and not up to 1/20th of Igbo population, but they are this expansionist in nature. Imagine if they had Igbo numbers and we had theirs? We are not doing well, I swear. |
SlayerForever:Let me rush and check it out. IPOB Multiethnic BIAFRA has to die, so that Republic of Igboland can stand. |
Reno should leave Anambra alone. There is no railway in his Delta State too, and their economy is bigger than Niger republic economy. He should use his Delta State for his reference and stop hidding behind Ndiigbo to fight his imaginary enemies. Ndiigbo should learn to be wise and see through Hawks like Reno. We are big enough to speak for ourselves, Reno Should focus on his Itsekiri/Urhobo (I heard he is an Urhobo man claiming Itsekiri (his maternal homeland) or just Delta State). |
SlayerForever:Yes. I was there live and direct. Though I left by 11pm though. I'm preparing for an exam. |
I'm marvelled at the length the typical Yoruba man can go to paint Igbos black or denigrate us, yet these people are desperate to have us in their shithole country as any talk of Biafra brings the devil out of them. Very pathetic. OP woke up and manufactured fraudulent graphs and posted official USA link as his source even when the graphs are not there. Just to prove that his Yoruba group have more influence/presence in the USA than Igbos. What sort of shit is that? So you slept the whole night thinking about Igbos? I opened a thread yesterday showing how Nigerians should emulate Malaysia and expel Ndiigbo from Nigeria like Malaysia did Singapore since we all agree Igbos are parasites. A very wonderful and fact filled article, but the Yoruba mods rushed and closed the thread down. Yet you have a thread claiming that Igbos are parasites allowed to stay in the political section of this forum and then you have a thread like this one built on falsehood allowed to stay too. You lots think NL is what? You can come here and use your power and influence narratives or what? Like there is no Facebook, no Twitter, no clubhouse, etc to demolish your agenda? You are all living in fools paradise. https://www.nairaland.com/6845618/data-shows-se-contributes-very |
FallenShitHole:Imagine how he invited his fellow slimy soup gobblers and they were all here masturbating on top fraudulent graphs. Imagine the audacity. These people are vile. I tell you. Very vile. How can they sleep well at night? |
FallenShitHole:Simple as that. These people are despicable. Tufiakwa! Ndiigbo must find a way to separate ourselves from these people. I have never seen a race with such a black heart and affinity for falsehood propaganda propagation and calumny against others. |
Dsalvo:Why should we use Wikipedia to verify a data that was "supposedly" from an official USA website? Are you people okay at all? |
Dsalvo:Stop being silly. The graphs the OP posted has nothing to do with the official US government information in the link he posted. He is a typical dubious Yoruba man involved in fraud while accusing those pointing out his fraud as being the bad ones. |
OP is a dubious Yoruba man. His graphs for language breakdown are not in the official USA link he posted |
