Well, no continental campaign is helping Arteta too. Wenger was at the top early on and playing continental. Unless they spend 1billion in 7yrs,i doubt Arteta can match Baba's total wins of 7yrs time frame.

I was also looking for Emery o grin
Wenger did have the likes of City and Chelsea to battle with earlier in his career as top top teams playing UCL finals.

Omo your proposals are scary.

That would be wickedness against the Southsouth minorities na.

The only people who deserve such treatment are the Ikwerres.
Nope.
The word wickedness doesn't exist in securing ones national interest.
That's exactly what the Minorities did to us during Biafra.

Our drive is not wickedness or kindness, but desire to secure our own interests.
It's as simple as that. We have no friends, enemies or brothers. We ally with you, even if your the devil once our interests are currently aligned.
Who ever is at the receiving end of our actions to secure our interests would have to deal with it like we dealt with ours during the war and post civil war.

The worst thing to happen to us as Igbo people is Christianity.
It made our people senseless, soft and sentimental.
Incapable of being ruthless enough to do things that must be done.

Moreover the way I see it, most Southern minorities are pro NIGERIA unity and not secessionists. So we would only be helping them maintain their unity with their Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani brothers.
I don't see any harm in that, you never can tell, Ndiigbo might just be the Jonah in the Nigeria ship, maybe once we leave, Nigeria can finally become great and the minorities would be better for it too.

Lol! They know we are not just a “dot in a circle”. We are dangerous tigers.

The north fears that if we are allowed to go, we will cause trouble for them in the Niger Delta( supposing the Ijaws choose to remain and slave for the north).

They know that the oil rich Igbo territories that were erroneously carved into Rivers state by Gowon will be annexed; with no apologies.

The Fulanis fear the Igbos because whatever they can do, we do it quadruple times. Except that we do not spill blood.

Ndigbo are Fulanis’ greatest nightmare.
Even if we go with our oil producing territories in SS, ie Egbema, Etche, Obiigbo, Ndoni and Egbema.
And then Anioma.

The North would still have more than enough oil producing territories in SS to hold unto.
If we agree that we will not in any way sponsor or help the non Igbo minorities in their attempt to break away from Nigeria once we leave
If we accept to even help the North with logistics, including human, material, road and air access to keep the remaining parts of NIGERIA United for atleast another 1 hundred years post Biafra Secession, I think they might just play ball.

Unlike Ojukwu who was reluctant to negotiate with the USSR for support to get BIAFRA because he was being naive.
Ndiigbo should be brutal enough to be ready to negotiate with the devil himself and throw whoever it takes under a speeding train, to secure Biafra.
There should be no room for sentiments, feelings and useless morality.

I do understand you.

I’ve heard it said that there’s no morality in politics.

So it’s high time we stopped caring for what is right or wrong.
Good you now understand the game.
Infact, the Minorities might even be the key to us getting Biafra.
The North is not necessarily afraid of us leaving.
They are afraid of the Minorities leaving with us, or using the momentum our departure will create to leave independently on their own.
If we can guarantee none of the above would happen, maybe the North wouldn't be too eager to hold us down, afterall we are only but a dot? grin

That’s the truth.

Any day a date for referendum is set Biafra, that’s the day other secessionist elements will demand for their own date too.

It’s not like the north really has big issues with letting the Igbos go, but just that they know that any day the Igbos leave will be the end of Nigeria.
Igbos leaving might not exactly be the end of Nigeria.
Maybe the North can reach a deal with us to stay off occurrence in Nigeria once we leave in exchange for supporting us leaving.
We can even have agreement to allow them use our lands as corridor to access any other part of NIGERIA that would attempt to leave NIGERIA after w left.
A sort of a corridor.

It's time our people learnt how to play ruthless politics based simply on protecting our own interests, regardless of who is getting shredded or burnt in the process.

Yes, I said it.

You have spoken well, pal.
He didn't speak well Dede1.
BIAFRA cannot accommodate Igbophobic minorities, that's like creating a mini NIGERIA.
Biafra should be strictly for Igbo speaking people only.
Also realize that the North will gladly let us go if we leave their Minorities cash cow for them to continue milking.
We have everything to gain going for Igbo only Biafra of all willing Igbo speaking groups in NC, SS and SE than bringing the unwanted minorities baggage along.
South Sudanese didn't insist on dragging Dafur region with them.
They left Dafur to their own fate and saved themselves, the Arab wannabe Khartoum North were happy that they atleast still have Dafur.
I see no wisdom in any Igbo talking of Biafra with non Igbo speaking groups in SS at this stage.
I see only folly.

Culture › Re: Is It True That Ndiigbo Can Trace Their Ancestry To The Founder Of Their Towns? by Igboid:
I agree with Bkayy points here.
No Igbo town was found by a single man and his wives.
Every Igbo town is formed by migrant usually unrelated Igbo groups living close to each other and then merging to form a town.
Usually the one who convince the independent communities to merge as one town/clan is recorded as the founder of the town/clan, and then origin history is created to unite everyone as being decendants of this one uniting figure.
So yes! Most Oral histories in Igboland, especially one that speaks of a founder with wives are all false.

He is also right in wondering why some names keep popping up as name of independent villages making up towns far away from each other in Igboland.

Take for instance, we have "Ire village" as one of the 9 villages in Ogidi and we have Ire in Obosi, Ire in Ojoto, and "Ire villages in "other places. Common sense tells me these were same people who wandered away from each other and became United with their new neighbors, forging new identities with them.

Yet we are supposed to believe that all these Ire villages are not related, we are supposed to accept that Ogidi was a man who was a son of a man called Inwelle, who was a son of another man called Ezechumagha, who well, no one knows where he came from.

Reason also the fact that in Ogbaru, we have an Akili-Ogidi, but they are not supposed to be related to Ogidi.
We have Aboh-Ogidi as one of the villages in Ogidi, but they are not supposed to be related to all the other Aboh scattered all over Igboland, since Aboh in Ogidi is supposed to be one of the sons of a mythical figure called Ogidi.

You look at it, and you see the oral stories we were handed down to was distorted from it's very source.

What Happened is that once these group of unrelated Igbo migrants living close to each other unite to found a town, the villages severe ties with their distant relatives elsewhere and pursue unity with their new neighbors who they merged with to form a new town.
To consolidate this new formed Town Unity, an oral history that claims that all members of the new town are sons of one single ancestor and hence siblings are forged to ensure kinship and unity.
That's what I made of it all.

When we are ready to reason well, we will all sit down and realize this too, and then throw away the distorted irrational oral stories that served the ancestors who forged them, but no longer serve us today that we need a bigger unity.

This is the top 10 Instagram skit makers by legit. They used followership as criteria then in 2020.

https://legit9ja.com/2020/09/legitlists-top-10-nigerian-funny-skits-makers-with-highest-instagram-followers.html

You have Shaggi, craze clown, Lasisi, Oluwadollars, cute Abiola, Sydney Talker, Josh2funny, MC lively, Tao, & Maraji.

Out of the 10: 1 SS, 2 Igbos, and 7 Yorubas.

Below is another list in 2021 with two other shuffles and Yorubas still dominate it.

https://firstnewsonline.ng/10-most-followed-nigerian-comedians-skit-makers-on-instagram-twitter

Can you present the criteria you used to arrive at the Igbo conclusion for Instagram skit makers?
Why Instagram?
How many Nigerians are on Instagram.
I'm personally not on Instagram and I haven't even heard most of names in that list.
How exactly are Ikorodu boys comedians for example.
The list is a bit pointless.
Facebook should be a better measure.

It depends on what type of comedy too.. stand-up nationally is a dying craft... But South South and East (Basket mouth, Okey Bakassi, klint the drunk, Buchi, etc) were quite ahead of the West even till today.

However, when it comes to skit, I think the West are doing great but the East still edges it. No one does the numbers Emmanuella and Markangel does on platforms. Crazy clown was also one of the trend setters... but they still have Sydney Walker, Nastyblaq (Who are all easterners)

However, the West also have a lot of good ones like Macaroni, Tao etc. but I think some of them are limited because they appeal more to a region against people like Emmanuella that have a global audience for instance.
Sydney walker is Edo though.
SE leads by far in the Skit comedy industry.
The margin of lead is not even close.

If my one hit beat your combined 100 hits, then it's more than one hit wonder.

CKay created a music that appealed to the world. Asians, South Americans, Americans, Canadians, Africans, name it. Everyone is singing "ah ah aha aha"!
It's not an easy feat.
I was in a global Facebook page and someone from Dominican republic was looking for the lyrics and interpretation of the lyrics of the song. I was so proud to interpret the song.

Go to his U-tube and see comments from people from all the races of the world going crazy about the song.
You don't chalk it all up "one hit wonder".

How has the west closed the gap on comedy?

Comedy I think of Elenu, Macroni and maybe Broda shaggy.
But SE has (Pragya, Sabinus, Aloma,Brain jotter, and many more)
SS has quite a long list o can't remember now.
