gulfer: So what gender is the teacher and is there a barricade between her/him to protect the female/male students from getting too close to the teacher or vice versa
I want to know too. Very primitive mindset these sharia enclaves. Too bad they have dragged Afghanistan back into stone age once again
Students across Afghanistan have started returning to university for the first time since the Taliban stormed to power, and in some cases females have been separated from their male peers by curtains or boards down the middle of the classroom, reports.
What happens in universities and schools across the country is being closely watched by foreign powers, who want the Islamist militant movement to respect the rights of women in return for vital aid and diplomatic engagement.
When it last ruled from 1996-2001, the group banned girls from school and women from university and work.
Despite assurances in recent weeks that women's rights would be honoured in accordance with Islamic law, it is unclear what that will mean in practice.
Teachers and students at universities in Afghanistan's largest cities - Kabul, Kandahar and Herat - told Reuters that female students were being segregated in class, taught separately or restricted to certain parts of the campus.
"Putting up curtains is not acceptable," Anjila, a 21-year-old student at Kabul University who returned to find her classroom partitioned, told Reuters by telephone.
"I really felt terrible when I entered the class ... We are gradually going back to 20 years ago."
Even before the Taliban took over Afghanistan, Anjila said female students sat separately from males. But classrooms were not physically divided, has learnt.
A document outlining guidelines for resuming class circulated by an association of private universities in Afghanistan listed measures such as the mandatory wearing of hijabs and separate entrances for female students.
It also said female teachers should be hired to teach female students, and that females should be taught separately or, in smaller classes, segregated by a curtain.
It was unclear if the document, seen by Reuters, represented official Taliban policy. The group's spokesperson did not immediately comment on the document, on photographs of divided classrooms or on how universities would be run.
The Taliban said last week that schooling should resume but that males and females should be separated.
A senior Taliban official told Reuters that classroom dividers such as curtains were "completely acceptable", and that given Afghanistan's "limited resources and manpower" it was best to "have the same teacher teaching both sides of a class."
Photographs shared by Avicenna University in Kabul, and widely circulated on social media, show a grey curtain running down the centre of the classroom, with female students wearing long robes and head coverings but their faces visible.
Several teachers said there was uncertainty over what rules would be imposed under the Taliban, who have yet to form a government more than three weeks after they seized Kabul with barely a shot fired in anger.
Their return to power has alarmed some women, who fear they will lose the rights they fought for in the last two decades, in the face of resistance from many families and officials in the deeply conservative Muslim country.
A journalism professor at Herat University in the west of the country told Reuters he decided to split his one-hour class into two halves, first teaching females and then males.
Of 120 students enrolled for his course, less than a quarter showed up at school on Monday. A number of students and teachers have fled the country, and the fate of the country's thriving private media sector has suddenly been thrown into doubt.
"Students were very nervous today," he said. "I told them to just keep coming and keep studying and in the coming days the new government will set the rules."
Sher Azam, a 37-year-old teacher at a private university in Kabul, said his institute had given teachers the option of holding separate classes for men and women, or partitioning classrooms with curtains and boards.
But he was worried about how many students would come back, given the economic crisis the Taliban's victory has triggered.
"I don't know how many students will return to school, because there are financial problems and some students are coming from families who have lost their jobs".
The people in the picture are well above 35. Is this adult education classes If the teacher is a male ,are the females seeing him and he sees them? Ndi ara

jiggaz: Seeing Visions Of Believers In Hell: What You Should Know About Dreams & Visions of Heaven & Hell
A Bible Study by Prince Gabriel Okocha
What does the Bible has to say about seeing believers in Hell or missing the rapture in dreams and visions? Are such dreams and visions messages or warnings from God to help us straighten our paths in order to “make” heaven? Over and over again, we have seen and heard people claim to have received a special vision from God in which they saw a fellow believer in Christ, sometimes a very faithful one, end up in Hell for any reason at all.
For instance in 2012, a lady came out to say she saw Archbishop Benson Idahosa in hell and it was materialism that “took” him there. The same lady claimed in her visions she saw other believers either in or on their way to hell because they wore make-ups, weavons, trousers (for ladies), rings and other jewelries (including wedding rings), kept long hairs and long nails.
Every now and then, people (especially those who claim to have died and came back to life) always come up with visions of a Hellfire crowded with believers or an almost empty heaven (with very few Christians). What should be a Christian’s disposition in the midst of all these? How should a Christian treat such visions of believers in hell? First, you need to understand what the Bible has to say about believers being condemned to hell.
Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. 1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
John 5:24 and 1 John 3:14 is very very clear on the fact that the believer in Jesus has passed from death to life. The word translated as “death” in those verses is the greek word “thanatou” “Thanatou” is not only used to imply physical death, it is also used to imply “eternal separation from God and utter destruction” which we call “second death or “hell.” Now read those verses again and notice how John puts the probability of a believer experiencing such to be in the past when he has not yet believed or received salvation. He said the believer SHALL NOT come into condemnation anymore. Why? Because the issue of his eternal destination has been settled once and for all. He HAS PASSED from death(hell) to Life.
In other words, the one who has believed in Jesus’ sacrifice for himself has no chance of ending up in Hell. He has long passed that level or stage. He is in a place now where Hell can never ever have a hold on him.
Ephesians 2:5-6 said he is seated in the Heavenly places in Christ Jesus today. Not tomorrow or after his physical death. Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus He is a citizen of heaven, not a candidate aspiring to go there. He came from there, it’s his place of origin. A place where he has to go back as soon as he exits this earth. Eph 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God
He (the believer) is joined to Christ, wherever Christ is is where he is. Where the believer goes is where Christ goes.
1Co 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. Not only is the believer joined to Christ, he is also joined in the Spirit to other believers. Where one goes is where others will go. Eph 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: Eph 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
So to say that you saw a believer (a man who has received Salvation) in hell, is like saying you saw ALL believers in hell. We are so knitted together that our eternal destinies are intertwined, where one goes is where all goes.
If this is true, why then do people see such visions of believers going to hell for any reason? The answer is simple. It is due to the kind of teaching they have been exposed to.
The human mind is so powerful that it can project whatever teaching you constantly feed it to your dreams and visions. This is why the scriptures encourages us to constantly renew our minds to the truths of God’s word, so we don’t end up missing out on the dividends of salvation.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. As you constantly renew your mind to the laid out truths of God’s eternal salvation in the scriptures, you will start having only real godly dreams and visions of heaven or hell.
Eternal death is not the destiny of the man in Christ. He has been saved from it forever. And that is not because he will always get his acts right, it is simply because Jesus has paid the ultimate price for him not to go there anymore. Don’t let any dream, vision or messages of believers going to hell fool you. Heaven is your home as a Christian and you are going there. I hope this blesses you!
Glory to God, glory to our saviour and king! Receive true scriptural visions today, in the name of Jesus!
Local champion Ms know it all Is she comparing naira to dollars? What is the standard of living in both places? The minimum wage in Nigeria is 18k naira a month and about $320 a week in the USA. Go figure
Adaorababy: Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has disclosed how God once stopped talking to him during one of his teachings.
Adeboye recounted how pride made God stop talking to him shortly after he got born again.
“However, something happened that made him stop communicating with me. I used to be an interpreter to the general overseer or general superintendent like we call it those days. My father in the Lord then just took a special interest in my interpretation. When other pastors in the church then realised that the general overseer liked my interpretation, they stopped calling me to interpret for them and left me alone for the general overseer.
According to Adeboye: “Almost immediately after I got born again, God started speaking to me, I don’t do anything without his guidance or approval. He tells me the road to ply in Lagos so that I can bypass hold up, most of you here know how terrible Lagos traffic is. Fortunately for me, I don’t experience it because God knows a better route.
“I became full of myself and started bouncing around as interpreter to the general overseer but an incident happened one day. We had a program and we invited a guest minister to preach. He made a mistake that day, you may be surprised at my definition of a mistake. The mistake was that he asked me to interpret for himself. I was really angry in my spirit but I couldn’t object because it was too late.
“I stood up and interpreted for him but in my heart, I was murmuring, I said ‘How could you call me a whole interpreter to the general overseer to interpret for you’. Only if he knew what was in my mind, he would have called another person to interpret that very day.
“At the end of the program, I was on my way home and God spoke, he said ‘Son, you are now too big to interpret to a man of God other than the general overseer”. After the conversation, God stopped speaking to me, I didn’t hear His voice again. “I suffered, that whole period was like hell, I became a victim of the traffic in Lagos.”
Onyi22: Marry a womanizer at your own risk Nigerian guys are Useless, All of them

So there are still women that reason like this in 2021. Can you define disrespect?
thebosstrevor1: If what you have written is called logic then the south should be concerned, all what you wrote are just rants.
I believe you are ignorant, articulation, going to school and applying logic isnt only found in western education. It is found in different civilizations except the African civilization.
The Islamic system of education encourages articulation, applying logic, debates and going to islamic school.
Basically the fight between the Christian western system and the islamic system is just clashes of different civilizations and idea.
But the most painful stuff is that you people in the south couldnt develop your culture and civilization, no wonder the western approach was able to create a big influence and change your way of life through christianity.
Sharap!! I say sharap your dirty mouth. You folks should be silent and each time you open your mouth it should be with pleadings to the world for what your pissful religion has unleashed on mankind not trying to change the narrative.Being clever by half Sharap I say!!
thebosstrevor1: I have come to realise that it is only Christians and Christian nations that always provoke muslims.
Many Christians know that muslims have their own rules and way of life, their is the sharia law, sharia education and sharia banking, infact Islam is a way of life for muslims, many Christians know that but they will always find a way to promote choas and cause conflict by interfering with Islamic traditions and way of life.
I have never met any muslim that will talk bad about Jesus christ or even try to burn the bible but it is Christians that will try to draw Mohammed picture in a scandalous way to provoke the muslims, burn the bible or talk bad about Mohammed wives, when muslims called them out, they will hide their bigotry and hate under freedom of speech to protect their provoking attitude. Even here on nairaland, you will see anti islam monikers all over the place but you will never see a muslim deface christian dieties, Some of them do it purposely to cause chaos and see the reaction of muslim because they know that muslims are emotional and devoted to their religion.
Another instance is, it is the Christian nation that will invade muslim countries and start preaching democracy to them, when they know, democracy has no relation with the principles of leadership in Islam. As a guise, the Christian nation will steal their oil, put tribes against each other and then kill their children, sisters, brothers , mothers and fathers with bombs, when the muslims organize and decides to fight back, they are called Terrorists.
Many Christians know that Saudi Arabia is the holy land of Muslims and that there are certain way which they behave with their women, men and society at large but the Christians will find a way to provoke the people by fighting for so called women right, human right and trying to cause choas even when the muslim society is at peace with it.
The truth is that you will never see a muslim country trying to influence western way of life but anyway the wars created by the Christian countries in muslim countries is already bringing about subtle muslim influences in western culture. immigration of muslim people from war torned muslim countries to western countries is already culturally and politically changing the west.
Unlike the boko haram killer squad, you at least went to school and can properly articulate. One would think the influence of western education would have made you reason logically but no,the very same evil blood of these Bedouin style jihadists causing pain from one end of the globe to another runs in your veins. You need help There is no difference between you and Fulani cattle readers raping and killing all over Nigeria. The money spent in educating you was a total waste
