BENIN — Against the background of incessant kidnappings and other violent crimes in Edo State, members of various cult groups in the state came together in Benin, weekend, in a move they said was to tackle insecurity in the state. However, the cult groups during their summit with the theme Interactive Peace Summit: Strategy for Social Cohesion, which held at the Sand Beach Resorts, Benin, expressed dissatisfaction with threats posed to Edo and other neighboring states due to the activities of kidnappers, armed robbery gangs and other criminal activities. They resolved to tackle them. Represented Some of the cult groups represented by at the summit included Green Circuit (Maphites), Norsemen (Vikings), , Eiye Confraternity, Family Fraternity of Nigeria and Avarian Organisation of Nigeria. Also in attendance were representatives of Governor Adams Oshiomhole; the Iyase (traditional Prime Minister) of BeninKingdom, Chief Sam Igbe; representatives of the Edo State Commissioner of Police and that of AIG Zone 5 Benin and representatives of the Director, Department of State Services. Others were representatives of the Commandant of Civil Defence and Security Corps, Edo State Neighbourhood Watch Council and the OC, SIB, AIG Zone 5. Chairman of the Consolidated Forum, Donald Edeo-ghon, while acknowledging the damage done by activities of the group, however expressed hope that the coalition of the groups would help in checking crime in the state. He said: “If you remember, for over two decades, inter-group conflicts, which often resulted in violent and fatal crises, were the attributes of EdoState communities. “Innocent lives and property of inestimable worth are destroyed on a whim. “Armed robbery, kidnapping, thuggery and sundry social vices rose to unprecedented levels; it became dangerous to reside and function legitimately in EdoState and in particular, Benin. “The situation looked bad, but then came the platform of Rainbow Consolidated Forum with a template for all seasons.” Chief Igbe expressed joy at what he witnessed and called on the groups not to disappoint, saying “you know I am going to brief the Oba on what I have witnessed here today.” Source: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/10/cultists-hold-security-summit-edo What is left of this country ? I can smell 2015 here............ |
I was onboard that flight. It was fun all through. But it got to a point it became boring and half of the passengers slept off. Though there was enough wine and spirits to lighten the mood. |
Hey guys, if you have your-freedom installed on your phone, you can connect using DNS. Though its really really slow, as in very very slow when opening web pages. But it works with whatsapp and other messengers. Am posting with it right now. You should select the connect via DNS option from the server option, then use the wizard to choose the free server you would want to use in connecting. No special APN. you can use the blackberry.net APN. Register an account with your-freedom and then you are good to go. Goodluck! |

For now DroidVPN remains the best. Troidvpn is just so slow. |
I think troidvpn is gonna give droidvpn a run for their money. This shyt looks good. And to say they give 1Gig everyday ? I can imagine the influx of users to their network. Its like 3-4days old and i think they are test running their services with few servers. Though slow for now, but it connects easily with an easy GUI that can easily be understood. I think this guys are gonna hit the vpn store big. I wished they would roll out a pc version for it. |
This troid vpn is as slow as fvck. Looks new though. Anyway with time they wud improve and maybe add more servers. |

Who would have thought? Manchester United footballer and Netherlands international foodballer, Robin van Persie in an interview with Scottish legend, Pat Crerand was asked what he does off the pitch. The 30-year-old was quick to make mention of his love for music, especially Michael Jackson. Robin said, “I love to listen to music like Michael Jackson, Usher, P Square…” Yes you heard right. Nigerian music has gone farther than we thought. Watch the interview below (Skip to 4:50 for P Square mention https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XRRPjINUjc#t=340 |

At last someone has voiced out. I just pray other prominent lawyers would join this man is pursuing the same cause. Afterall we Nigerians are used to saying, someone needs to start it first, then we will follow. Now someone has started it o... Everybody else should follow suit New plate number - N35, 000 New Driver's license - N15, 000 Police BCMR - N3, 500 Total - N53, 500 Just because somebody wants to make money, they want us to pay this outrageous amount because I dey drive car. Crazy nation. |
Imanuelle: that Business center phoneYes o! That phone can make one waste credit ehn....you go shout hello hello tire. N60 per min don go. |
I also remember one TRIUM like dat. That small trium that has antenna and then an extended antenna. Mtn were selling it with their sim that time for 45k. With all the antennas, that phone has network epilepsy! The day they pocket picked the phone from my pocket, I killed chicken and celebrated. Better not to have a phone than to have one with no network for one month and I would still be charging it. |
This particular phone showed me pepper. I had to hold it with a rubber to my ear when bluetooth hands free never come out.

When I said everyone including various stakeholders should join in protesting this non-challant attitude the fg is showing towards the educational sector of this country., dem talk say I dey play. Sebi now, the protest wants to take another dimension. We shall see the outcome. I said it and I will say it again; ASUU should never be blamed for the strike. If the fg is not ready to commit itself to a better education in this country, then its a waste going about with just a paper called certificate with no knowledge of what you went to school to study. No good amenities in place in all Nigerian universities just to mention a few. And we are here blaming ASUU. With time you guys wud understand what ASUU is fighting for and not just for their own interests. You should take your time and go through what they requested the fg to do. Simple. |
IYA NGBALI: hmmmmmmm,he no easy to sack that one,who go dey take care of oga,s bed?i no talk say him dey fok am oNa u talk am o! I no hear am o |
