Reports reaching DailyPost has it that the 3 NYSC members recently kidnapped in Rivers state have been freed by their abductors. The corps members, Ogwuche Martins, Lijoka Richard and Nwachukwu Chinonye Esther who were abducted at their lodge in Ogonokom, Abua-Odual Local government council were released by their captors exactly two weeks after they were kidnapped. Narrating their ordeal to DailyPost, one of the victims who pleaded anonymity said he was surprised at the attack as it was never expected that such a thing could happen to them. He narrated that everything happened in a jiffy and the next minute, they found themselves in an unknown island. According to him,”it happened after I went outside to ease myself. Few minutes later, I heard a big bang on my door and some men came in with rifles. They then led me to the waterside where the boat was. They also took two other people and flew us to an unknown island. “We didn’t know weather we were still in Rivers state or not. Since that time till our release we have been living in the bush. We never had our bathe or washed our mouth. Though they didn’t torture us, they only threatened us, while asking us to make calls to those who could give them money to pay for our ransom.” Also speaking, another victim in the fold, who explained that they were robbed of their valuables which include, laptop, phones and some cash confirmed that they were not molested in any way. “They pushed my door open, I knelt down immediately and started begging them. They took my phones and my computers. They then took me with them to the waterside. They took us to an unknown destination. It took us over 2 hours to get to the island. So we didn’t know if we were still in Rivers state or not. “On the island, there were 9 guys who were running a shift, while monitoring and guarding us. They threatened us in many ways, but they never touched us or did anything to us. They consistently called our LI for negotiations which they started with 20 million naira. The corps members could not confirm if any ransom was finally paid for their release. They said resource persons and security operatives facilitated their release. You will recall that some NYSC members were kidnapped in the early hours of saturday, June 22nd, 2013 at Abuja-Odual LGA in Rivers state. The Rivers state police command intensified search for the corps members according to the PPRO, Angela Agabe. The kidnappers subsequently demanded for the sum of 20 million for the release of the corps members. It’s still uncertain if ransom was paid for their eventual release. I once slapped or should I say smacked an usher in the backside real hard when she farted directly on my face while walking past where I was seated. It caught the attention of everybody and I got some kind of disgusting looks from everyone who would think I did that intentionally not knowing what went down. They later got to know the reason for my actions when the whole atmosphere started smelling fowl and then I replied everyone with a look like, yea! That's the reason for the smacking. The Usher walked outta the service and I didn't see her till I left the church. Though I was a first timer who happens to attend the church for a youth week service. Would you say that's a rude one by me ? |
I live in poland. So u expect me to bath cold water inside this freezing country. No be me and u. |
Here's the full story While the Accra Psychiatric Hospital is threatening to discharge its inmates due to lack of resources, two mentally-challenged lovebirds are causing a stir in Accra by often kissing, caressing and playing romance in public making them the most talked-about couple in town. Sometimes the two are seen having their share of the usual misunderstanding between lovers where the woman goes nagging and the man tries to calm her down. The two are often seen at the Accra High Street (now known as the Atta Mills High Street), Independence Avenue and the Ring Road Central area. Over the weekend, NEWS-ONE cameras caught the two while they openly kissed and caressed themselves right in front of the SG-SSB Bank at the Nima Junction Traffic Light near the Nima Police Station. Though the two lovers did not get to the extent of bonking, they kissed, caressed and fondled themselves intermittently in the open for close to half an hour. Just before they started unleashing their libido, the female was seen complaining angrily about something while the man was calming her down. Each time the female complained and threw her hands in the air, to register her anger, the male counterpart would signal her to calm down and let matters die off. At a point in time, she took off her clothes covering the upper part of her body but her lover convinced her to put it on after which they embraced each other and started their love adventure. They then continued their stroll on the isle of the Ring Road towards the King Tackie Tawiah Overpass but mid-way, they turned back and walked towards the Kwame Nkrumah Circle as onlookers enjoyed every bit of the spectacle. Not too long ago, the couple were seen on the Accra High Street in a near distress as the man went from vehicle to vehicle begging for GH¢1 to buy food for the female. While the male was begging for the money, the female was following him and complaining that she wanted to eat gari and beans. When a Good Samaritan finally gave the male an amount of GH¢1, the female immediately started clapping and jumping in jubilation and hugged the male. They then walked hand-in-hand to a food vendor nearby to buy some food. Truely, love knows no bound. |

Barcelona star Lionel Messi will visit Senegal on Thursday to help Qatar’s Aspire Academy’s anti-malaria campaign. The Argentina captain will help distribute mosquito nets to locals in a bid to reduce malaria outbreaks in the area. He will be attending the official launch of the Soccer for Health world programme that will kick-off in Dakar, Senegal’s capital. In a chat with media Messi said: “I know my trip to Senegal will be difficult because I will see the suffering that malaria causes, but I know that we have a great chance to use the power of football to help save lives. “Every 90 minutes 180 children die from this horrible disease in Africa, but almost all of these can be avoided by using bed nets. “Football Combating Malaria is a very special project to me because I know it will help save thousands of young lives, and I’m delighted to be involved and throw my support behind it.” Emblazoned with Messi’s image, the mosquito nets will be distributed to children and families from the rural localities of Mbour and Saly Portudal. Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has opened the national team door to striker Osaze Odemwingie and skipper Joseph Yobo, but Taye Taiwo may not find it easy to get his way back into the team. They have been out of the national team fro sometime. But shortly after the Super Eagles’ Fifa Confederations Cup campaign came to a grinding halt against Spain, Keshi told KickOffNigeria.com exclusively how the players can get back in. “They should just be themselves, play their game,” Keshi said. “Yobo is still my captain. It’s unfortunate that he’s not here, but he’s still the captain of the team.“Taiwo is still playing but I have younger players that are playing well. I have Juwon, who is not here. I have Benjamin Francis, and I have Echiejile whose performance has improved greatly. So it will be a difficult thing for Taiwo to get back in. “For Osaze, he still has a place in the team.“I’m not looking for an apology from him. Osaze is somebody that I like very well and he knows that. The thing is, it’s about the team that I’m worried about. “I don’t want to have a player that will come in and divide the team, or who will destabilize the team, because when the team is not together, it becomes very difficult to win.“I’m not saying he is going to come in and do that, but a little bit of what he has shown has told me that this is possible.“I really want to have him in the team, and I would like to give him another opportunity. ”One player that Keshi says he really wants to see back in the national team is Obinna Nsofor, along with Seattle Sounders forward Obafemi Martins.“The person I am really keen to have is Obinna Nsofor.“Unfortunately, each time I call him, he’s always injured. Hopefully next time he will be fit.“Martins is coming back gradually. The last two call-ups he wasn’t in good shape but I needed to play him,” he told KickOffNigeria.com.
