Codezilla:what do you have to say about what someone just posted about you?
|
Yesterday was Ekeakpara market day, In osisioma LGA, Abia. Oil there was 6000. Today is Oriendu Market day, Isuikwuato LGA. Oil is 5500, 5800 and 6000. Very few People sold 5500 and 6000. Majority sold at 5800. We can say that the price of oil is returning back to 6000. A little of advice. It's better you buy 6500 at the mill than to buy 5500 or 6000 at the market. Be sure of what you are buying. The market we are talking about is the bush market oh. If you go to the markets in town, oil is even beyond 7000. |
profem1:dealers claim that imported oil is all over the market and they are cheap. So when they buy at higher price they can't compete and sell their own goods. So they price down the oil to the amount that they can compete favourably with the imported ones and still make good profit. |
Pajey:yes, and it won't just work |

Some actually destroy breadwinners not because they want to destroy them but because they want those who depend on them to suffer. This world is a cruel place. |
I blame those who designed the stadium and put the stadium light switch in the toilet. |

donparosky:Thank you for the price update. Do well to tell us if it is the price at the open/urban market, oil mill or village market. If you want to buy oil for business, either turnover or storage, don't use the prices above. At the local market in Isuikwuato, prices have officially dropped to 5500. Yesterday 24/04/19 at Oriendu market, Isuikwuato oil was sold at 5500. The price will affect Eke uzuakoli and other neighboiring markets. However, I bought at 5700 because the owner begged the hell out of me. At Ezukwu in Bende LGA, price is allegedly between 4500 and 5000. If you don't have a means of transport or customer to keep oil for you, don't go there. You will come back empty handed or waste the money you want to save on transport. So they said, maybe I should give that place a shot since its close to me I was at Etinan, Akwa Ibom 23/04/19, price there is #5000. some can drag the price to #5500. The price is from one market like that. If you take Idoro road from Uyo straight to the roundabout where they board vehicle to Afaha nsit, that market there is the one I am talking about. The name sounds something like 'oruakpokpo'. In all these local and village markets, you must go as early as possible to get the oil directly from the millers who bring it to the market. To me, this price drop is no longer a good thing for the millers, many are planning on abandoning the palm fruits and not harvest them since the stress and cost they incur in processing the oil leaves them with little or no gain. Many are going into cultivating their farm lands since its rainy/planting season. Note: the prices are without the kegs. If you want to do storage, this is around the best time. Remember I once said that earlier. Between April and May, get your oil for storage |

ultron12345:I don't have any idea about that. Millers are now insisting on #6500 at the mill. People are trooping in to the mills to buy oil. In one of the mill within my vicinity, three people came to buy but the oil available will not be enough for even one person. Its now like an auction, the highest bidder Carry's the day. |
Amehsam:I doubt, it can't drop below #5500. People selling below #6000 are doing so out of desperation. They need money badly. |
Amehsam:08/04/2019 Oriendu Market, Ovim Isuikwuato #5500 and #6000, Oil mill at Ahaba Isuikwuato, #6000. Oil mill at Farm settlement #5800 and #6000. Most oil mill where you will get oil below #6000 are places where there are no easy transport and the oil millers may consider to remove some cost which they too will incure to transport the oil to the market. Last Saturday, some people at the mill around Ovim were insisting on #6500. Today at the market, they were shocked to the bone as buyers were pricing them #5500. By next two weeks, price may officially drop to #5500. |
This is the best time to do storage... |
