Oasis007: OFFICIAL
Manchester United is delighted to announce the club has reached agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of French international defender and World Cup winner, Raphaël Varane, subject to a medical and to player terms being finalised. This is good news. However, Was his salary mentioned or should we keep believing this 4-time CL winner, a World Cup winner really wanted to play for a serial loser like Ole? |

Bombblacks: So your first paragraph was about Neuer and Bayern fans ? Humor me Bros, go and display your stupïdity elsewhere. I made a statement and gave an example of entitlement and you call it shifting. I wasn’t having an argument with Raumdeuter, I wasn’t disagreeing with him but you saw what I wrote as a shift? As at the time I was making that post, I didn’t know you would bring your clownery to Nairaland……but you saw a shift? Next time, when you realize a discourse is intellectually above your level, you shut up and let those in the know carry on with the discussion. It’s not everything you see on here that you jump into like a lunatic without its bearing. |

Bombblacks: Your first paragraph had nothing to do with Bayern fans and neuer. You shifted to the average fans and talked about fans in general. Your lies are getting irritating. You are a lunatic. So I shifted from average fans to Bayern fans before you challenged me? As in, I saw the future and knew you would challenge me so I shifted? My God - who are these people? |

Bombblacks: Now concerning the Bold. If fans are not happy with the way a club they support is runned, they have no right to voice out their concerns? Is that what you are saying There’s a clear distinction between voicing out their concerns and actually going to the stadium to riot or disrupt a game. They already have social media and plenty of forums to voice out their concerns. Taking the violent route is sheer stupidity. You will never see anyone at the cinema start a riot because of the way Tom Cruise acted in a movie. He’s a paying customer too, just like you. So why do you have such audacity while the cinema dude wouldn’t even think of it? That’s the stupid entitlement I was talking about. |

Bombblacks: Please if you don't understand a discussion it's better to shut up and mind your business. Someone said fans are overrated talking about what Bayern fans did to neuer. That's what brought about the entire discussion nothing about the garbage you are dumping in my mention. So if I was talking about what Bayern fans did to Neuer, why did you involve neutral fans, spectators and tourists? This mental gymnastic is annoying. |

Bombblacks: You still haven't answered my question all these while. What is football without people watching games and buying merchandise? Now, it’s people. It’s no longer fans? I was talking about club fans who feel entitled to remove Glazers based on their highs/dips of their emotions or the ones who had the audacity to disrupt a PL game. So don’t ask me a nonsense question. |

melodyogonna: They thrived? Yes they did - otherwise the club should be bankrupt by now to the point that we are all contributing to their GoFundMe. United didn’t furlough any staff or sack anyone during the pandemic. Every employee at the club got their salary throughout. No player or laundry woman or tea lady has complained about not getting their wages. That’s thriving. |

Bombblacks: Can you show me the lies? This is what you were replying to….. So tell me how mere spectators or neutral fans would issue Fatwa on Neuer to the extent of reading him a Riot Act on how he should behave at Allianz Arena going forward….. These are the fans I was discussing with Raumdeuter. You jumped into it and told me the fans are far too important. After you got cornered, you said you meant the entire spectators, neutral fans, opposing fans and the tourists. Why would a tourist read Neuer a Riot Act? Why do you people lie unashamedly?

The topic started with boycott and those that disrupted a PL game last season. I said those people are too entitled and he came with fans are very important. Why would fans of other clubs or spectators join in the boycott of games or disrupt a PL game? The moment you corner these guys, they move the goalposts. |

eph12: There are some players that fans will keep rivalry aside and welcome them with open hands. Pogba is not one of them, he hasn't shown why he should There’s no such player. Pogba talked shit about PSG and his words have come back to bite his ašs. That’s all to it. If he never mentioned anything about PSG in the past, there would be no reason to put banners everywhere. Besides - linking that to the topic we are discussing now. If the owners are keen on getting Pogba and Pogba is also keen on moving to PSG, there’s nothing the fans can do. They overrate themselves but the real power is with the owners. |

nitrogen: Utd is a global brand. No one cares about some stadium fans that feel entitled. The pandemic showed the world that sports can survive without fans physically present.
Moreso, if there is a boycott by Utd fans, others will watch. Don’t forget that the teams you are playing against have their fans too. The business model will quickly change to capture the impact of boycotts by utd fans.
Finally, companies signing contracts with Utd are trying to get the world to see their products. They want to be a global brand, they want football fans (in general) to know their brands.
You guys are nothing! God bless you. |

Bombblacks: They generate all the revenue. Without fans that's zero revenue. If they generate all the revenue, what's their worth? If they generate all the revenue and they are as super important as you put it, why haven’t they been successful to remove the Glazers since 2005? If they decide to turn Old Trafford to a viewing centre or a National museum and disband the team, there’s nothing you can do. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Illimitable: 6:01pm On Jul 27, 2021 |
Bombblacks: As long as they are watching on tv and are in the stadium they are spectators (fans). So that means they generate all the revenue. If they generate all the revenue, what are the fans worth? If that’s your definition of football fans then I am sorry for you. |

Bombblacks: They generate all the revenue. Without fans that's zero revenue. If they generate all the revenue, what's their worth? They don’t even generate all the revenue. You are mistaken if you think that way. 70% of the fans at Old Trafford are mere tourists. The average fan has been priced out with the increase in match tickets over the years. This is why all the planned anti-Glazer boycotts don’t work. Arsenal fans also planned plenty WengerOut boycotts that never worked. There’s also a section of people who come to the stadium just to watch their favorite players. If the said player moves to another club, they would dump Old Trafford and pay tickets to watch the player in another club. patrickmuf: This season no go easy...See men from both camps fully on ground waiting for the start of the season...

Bombblacks: You haven't provided an answer. So I ask again what is football without fans watching and buying their mechandise? I didn’t actually say football can survive without the fans. I said the fans overrate themselves - they see themselves more important than what they are actually worth. The bottom feeders in a food chain are also important but not as important as the levels above them. In the football pyramid, the fans are the least important. You are just consumers at the end of the day. If you don’t go to Old Trafford, other people will. If all the Manchester United fans residing in Manchester boycott United games, neutrals from other parts of the world would attend the games and watch. It’s a global business now. So you and your boycotts are irrelevant. |

Tv deals, Kits and merchandise, stadium revenue etc Imagine the audacity for one to think fans don't own football and are overrated. raumdeuter: How much do you think Man utd make, and how much of these come from these section of fans. You are supporting a global team, the more they go global, have global ambitions, the local fans impact reduce
Its now a business, All the players are there because of a fat paycheck and will leave if anyone offer them more money. If you want the connection, you will be supporting FC United of Manchester who play all local youths
Alaba who grew up in Bayern academy is now wearing and kissing Madrid badge, where is the connection?
If I stop supporting Bayern today, minus the $200 jersey I buy a year what will a Billion Dollar brand miss? Fans that are as fickle as fück. The most entitled set of people you would ever come across. For instance look at the section of United fans that disrupted a match last season shouting “Glazers Out” - as if it’s realistic to remove the owners of a club via riots. Ask the average fan to choose between his club doing community outreach versus his team losing, he would say fück the community, give me a trophy. Ask the average fan to choose between having a foreign owner whose source of money is questionable but he can bring in Ronaldo, Messi, etc versus a local businessman who can only bring in a striker from Oldham Athletic and every fan would choose the corrupt foreign owner. |
