BlueAngel444: if City are interested, they won't be offering 150m for kane when they can try for Haaland
Bayern might sign Haaland if they let go or bench Lewandoski for him, or they both play in a front two. Haaland can only move next season. City needs someone to replace Aguero this season. If City fails to get Kane this season, they would be in the mix to sign Haaland next season. Haaland’s dad once played for City. Chelsea already have Lukaku. Bayern won’t pay that much for Haaland and Raiola is a greedy bastard. He would want a high fee for Haaland. Haaland will only go to Bayern if he decides to stay in Germany. PL clubs have the advantage in terms of transfer fee and wages. |

eph12: But Grealish was absent for most of last season o He played around 2200 PL minutes for Villa last season. That’s more minutes than Pogba had last season. Mrviktor: If Madrid sign mbappe. Chelsea has signed Lukaku. Man city sign Kane.
D battle for Halland is between. Barca.. Bayern.. United..
Nd dat deal will get as high as 120m. Between those 3 teams only United Can pay that high..
Plus we have Sancho. Nd ole As catalyst..
There's a 20% chance of us getting him The Spanish clubs are broke - forget those two. It’s between Bayern, Man Utd and Man City(If City don’t get Kane). Ole’s new contract should entice Haaland’s father but I suspect he would want to stay in Germany and move to Bayern. The boy is too good. His general movement, predatory ability and his ice cold finishing are all suited for the PL. |

elampiro: Rooney was not Everton striker, so how did he start as a striker? Even for the three lions at that time, he was not the striker. He always played as a number 10 behind another striker. Rooney himself did not see himself as a striker to begin with. He was being forced to play close to the goal because of his scoring ability. Rooney has confirmed he played as a number 9 in only two seasons. This has been my argument since joining this sports section in 2013. ................................................. "Them two seasons (2008-09, 2009-10) were the two seasons I played as a number nine on my own," Rooney said on BT Sport.
"I played there in and out in different games but I played for the whole season in them two years.
"I actually didn't enjoy the games as much. I've always been a player that wants to get involved in the game and it is something which Marcus will learn over next few years.
"It took me seven or eight years to learn how to play there and to learn to play with your back to goal. It's the hardest position to play. You've got big centre-backs coming through back of you and you're on your own.
"I weren't enjoying it, but it was my best two years of scoring. I remember coming off the pitch and scoring two goals and saying, 'I was awful. I didn't play that well today. I didn't have that many touches of the ball.
In 2009/10, Rooney hit an impressive 26 goals in the Premier League and won the PFA Player of the Year. Only Didier Drogba notched more in the top flight that season, but Rooney wasn't best-pleased.
Ferdinand recalled his long-time teammate asking Sir Alex Ferguson to change his position going into the next campaign.
Ferdinand added: "We spoke when we came back to pre-season. I remember speaking to you and you said, 'I'm going to speak to the manager and say I want to play as a number ten.'
"I was sitting there going, 'But you scored 30-odd goals this season Wazza.' But you weren't enjoying your football and I couldn't get my head around that."
Rooney did end up moving further back at United, before going on to return to boyhood club Everton in 2017.
After a spell stateside with D.C United, he finished his career at Derby County, who he has just kept in the Championship on the final day after being appointed manager in January. I think the use of English is a fat challenge for you. Rooney said here that 08/09 and 09/10 were the two seasons he played as a lone striker. There are other formations where you can have a strike partner like 4-4-2, 4-3-1-2, 4-1-2-1-2, etc. The two strikers in these formations are centre forwards. Rooney at Everton was in a 4-4-2 formation. Rooney in England was in a 4-4-2 formation in Euro 2004. Rooney at Man Utd in several seasons was played in a 4-4-2 formation. So why are you arguing he’s a #10? Between Wood and Barnes at Burnley, who’s the #10? What about Anelka and Drogba(09/10 season), who was the #10? How are you such a football fanatic but you have no understanding of football formation?

I knew it would take no time to start your attack on Rooney. One day I came here, behold you were on his matter just as before. Did Fred not play today? I don’t know why you keep calling Coogar. Does he owe you or you miss him so much you want to fück him? Your comments are littered with anti-Pogba rhetorics. He’s slow, United win more games without him and other nonsense you managed to conjure in your head. The fact is - Pogba is United’s best player that is being mismanaged because of his physique. If you are black, tall, strong, etc - the media tend to judge you by being a defensive powerhouse, instead of being a creative outlet. The long and short of this story is - Pogba has shut you up. Oasis007: Perhaps he's the Bonus OGS keeps yawning. Board should offer Perreira and Fred to Leicester in exchange for him. Bruno’s high risk high reward policy is the main worry here. Bruno will always give the ball away because his first instinct is to pass it forward. Forward passes are too risky and this is why signing a pure destroyer is imperative when Bruno’s risky passes fail to get to the target. The volume of passes Bruno puts forward is ridiculous making his ball retention ability very very low. Grealish on the other hand can retain the ball very well but he doesn’t attempt risky passes like Bruno. Ole needs to do something before it’s too late.

So it’s not even a matter of Leicester won’t sell or they would put £100m price on him. If we take £51m to Leicester, they have to give us Ndidi. Someone should tell me why we haven’t done that yet. A sensible manager would sell any of Lingard, Jones, Pereira, Matic, Mata, Fosu Mensah, etc and get Ndidi. |

He could beat them in a one off game, but when push becomes shove, those two can manage to go on a long winning streak to get to the finish line before Ole does. Man City should become favourite if they are able to sign Kane or any decent striker, Grealish is more of the same type of players they have in abndance
Man Utd should also be favourite but they have a major weakness siting on the bench
Liverpool if the AFCON goes ahead in January will likely run into trouble without Salah and Mane. You could not refute it then your next ploy is to ask me why one of those reasons did not apply to other players - and you are talking about someone else missing the point. Stop asking me about Phil Foden or any other irrelevant question. You have conceded that Sancho was promoted which was the bone of contention. Find other means to salvage your reputation. This one has flopped hard. Stupidity powers your circulation system. You didn’t prove anything. You are still making the mistake of assuming contracts is linked to promotion - it is not. Sancho wasn’t promoted. A contract offer isn’t promotion. Foden was ‘promoted’ without signing a contract. That is the point your greasy head has failed to grasp for more than a week. Stop this idiotic theory of yours that a contract offer is the same as promotion. That was when you died. Stop saving face because you are too stupid to admit your MD analogy is as stupid as your conception. NL credibility will not add any money into your account. Why not ask me if Foden's name was mentioned as one of those promoted? Why not ask me if Foden played and trained with the first team after the tour? Because it proves what you had been arguing against. But go ahead, delude yourself some more. You are a fool of epic proportions. After lying to us contracts are tied to promotion, you quickly realized your folly when I pointed to you that wasn’t the case for Foden. Your not-so-high IQ suddenly realized Man City couldn’t have treated the 2 players(Foden and Sancho) of the same age differently and that was when your argument fell flat in its face. Tell me why Fabregas has more goals and Assists than Iniesta and Ronaldinho? Even Di Maria might even fair better. We are talking about figures now This is amateur talk. Ronaldinho was actually more prolific than Cesc Fabregas. You are looking at Cesc’s volume of goals and assists without considering the number of minutes played. Ronaldinho scored 1 goal in every 217 minutes in his career, Cesc scored a goal in every 417 minutes in his career. Ronaldinho is twice as prolific as Fabregas despite playing as a left wing forward at his peak.

Android17: Very poor strawman. Sancho was offered a contract and told he will feature in the first team. Sancho said put it in writing then I will believe you. MCFC refused and Sancho refused to sign the contract. Is that hard? Don't forget this proves Sancho was indeed promoted which is what brought us into this. Reply with insults, that is all you are really good for. You are missing the point here - I don’t know if it’s deliberate to hide your previous stupidity or it’s a blind spot for you. You had said Sancho didn’t go to preseason(promotion) because he had refused to sign. You linked the signing of his contract directly to his promotion. So I asked, why wasn’t this the same for Foden? Foden should never have been on the plane to preseason when his own contract talk was only up 18 months later. City should have waited for Foden to also sign his contract before putting him on a plane for preseason. It’s just simple logic and you keep failing. Your only rebuttal to this was that players are treated differently. So in your company, the MD position can be leveraged to get an employee’s signature while another employee of the same age can become the MD without having to worry about signing any contract regarding the role. If this doesn’t make you look stupid, nothing else would. |
