Oasis007:Januzaj Macheda Will Keane James Wilson and many others with superior talents didn’t make it. |
Some people are used to failure on this thread. This supposed-to-have-been-aborted feral animal is actually calling a perennial failure a golden boy while the one that won a treble and a serial A title a season later is washed up. This idiocy is irredeemable. ![]() |
SammyFX:Since Ole was hired, he has signed Ighalo(31) Cavani(34) Heathon(35) Varane(28). Nobody is talking about how any of these pensioners would stop the development of Greenwood, Rashford, Henderson and Tuanzebe respectively. I remember a certain manager wanted to sign Perisic, the media and some idiötic fans were against it because Perisic was too old for United at 28 years of age plus he was going to stop the development of Martial. Perisic has gone on to win a TREBLE since then while the protected golden youths have won nothing. The hypocrisy of United fans is highly disgusting. There’s no shame whatsoever. |
Oasis007:Only 2 or 3 players will make it from that list. Shoretire and Elanga would be playing for West Brom by 2024. |
GloryIsaac:Neves is shït! He falls short of what United need in that midfield. United need a specialist DM/enforcer that would mow down anything in front of the back four. Neves will be another Van de Beek. He would play 3-5 games at the start of the season and football fans would realize he’s not the guy United need to fix that midfield. |
Spy360:The players will be fine. This season will be starting in August so it won’t be a mad rush like last season when the season started like 6 weeks late. The smaller clubs don’t have the luxury of bringing on five £50m players to win a game or grab an equalizer. I remember Klopp was crying about 5 subs last Christmas - trying to convince everyone that players need protection. Guess what he did in the next game against Spurs at Anfield…..He made no substitutions throughout the game. If you don’t use any of the 3 subs available, why need 5?
|
Spy360:They should keep it the way it is. 3 subs are more than ok for a 90 minute game. 5 subs would aid big teams like Man City who can afford to bring £55m signings from the bench to change the the tide of a game. Then again, the managers of the big clubs crying about 5 subs are just capping. That Norwegian fraud didn’t even use any substitute in the Europa final in normal time. So why does he need 5? Many of the managers in the top 6 didn’t make use of the maximum allowed 3 substitutes in some of the biggest games last season. One can hardly argue for 5 subs when they struggle to even make use of the 3 available. |
eph12:The boys cannot learn anything from a dullard. ![]() |
raumdeuter:One must know he’s in big trouble when rival fans are happy that a manager signed an extension. This is going to be the longest drought in the club’s history. |
Joezinho:Failure is in his DNA. If Ole was the manager of that Italian side in the Euros, he would have crashed them out in the group stage. |
LostMyZeal:Zlatan left and una own don finish. ![]() Pogba’s departure would lengthen the drought. Nobody was bigger than MUFC(Fergie era). That narrative has changed now. If a big player of Pogba’s status leaves, United would struggle unless he’s replaced with a similar quality and there are few players in the world that are as good as Pogba. |
BlueAngel444:United fans on this thread will hype any shït. To them, everything is club rivalry. This has beclouded their senses to even speak the truth. This is why they also hype Ole and some of them stupidly think Ole can finish above Pep, Klopp and Tuchel in a PL competition that has 38 games. If you give Ole the United squad of 2007/8, he still wouldn’t win the PL. |
GloryIsaac:It’s not the logo, guys. That shirt is ugly. The neck, the fit and the sleeves. Look at how the sleeves are loose on Sancho’s biceps. United can’t even quality shirts from Adidas again under Ole. Have you guys seen Inter’s shirt? United’s shirt looks like a rag next to it.
|
This is the worst football shirt in history. Everything under this Norwegian plonker has gotten worse. Shirt looking like what a roadside tailor made in Onitsha. |
Expert17:Rooney was paid £300,000 per week as far back as 2014. All of a sudden, Pogba at £375k/week in 2019 is a blasphemy. ![]() World class players command world class wages. Pay up or replace Pogba with another fraud like Schneiderlin or Pereira(£150K/week). |
LostMyZeal:It’s this nonsense arrogance from United fans that makes me laugh. You haven’t won a spoon since Zlatan left. You are comparing the era of Alex Ferguson when United would have had 5 Pogba replacements in their squad to the present idiöt that doesn’t know how to build a team? When will you people learn? This lunatic sold Lukaku and replaced him with Ighalo when he had the opportunity to sign Haaland & you are talking about Beckham? When you finish 6th next season, you would be throwing tantrums like someone that lost his bride to the best man. You can see a problem right before you and you are unperturbed because Beckham & Ronaldo left under Ferguson and United still won. Ferguson and Ole are the same, right? ![]() |
melodyogonna:Even Keane or Scholes wouldn’t win anything with McFred - that’s the point. The midfield is the most important area of any team as they are responsible for shielding the defence and also supporting the attack. Yet, United have the weakest midfield in the top 6 by a distance. Why would any serious team pay over the odds for Pogba and not get him an elite supporting cast that would free him of too much defensive responsibility? It’s insane a player as creative as Pogba is stuck in the DM position in a club as big as United. Pogba has hinted several times he has more freedom in France but the idiotic manager at Man Utd feel differently. Pogba said “We were already playing with three midfielders [at Juventus], in 5-3-2. I had the freedom, I had to be in the box, to attack. It was an obligation. In Manchester, I have the freedom to go into the box, but the priority is to play and defend.” We play in a diamond in France. I am a little more in the transmission, in the construction. But I have more freedom than in Manchester to enter the box, to make runs forwards.. Any sensible manager would mirror France’s set up in the midfield at his club if he wants to get the very best out of him. Instead of that, the möronic Solskjaer went to buy Van de Beek who he had no need for. He wasted funds when all he needed to do was to get an elite CDM with the same combative attributes like Ngolo Kante. We won’t know until Pogba leaves, right? We saw this happen when Lukaku left. The question on the lips of every Man Utd fan was why was Lukaku allowed to go or why wasn’t he replaced with the same quality. Some of you guys are already addicted to feeling remorseful after the fact. I reiterate, United will go another 50 miles further from the PL title if they sell Pogba. Pogba is the heart and soul of that team that Ole is misusing because Ole is clueless. Elite managers know what to do with Pogba. That Ole is mentally incompetent has nothing to do with Pogba. I would leave this quote from Wijnaldum here….
|
Oasis007:If you lose Pogba, you will not win the PL till 2026. Pogba is a world class player. After his last showing at the Euros, he deserves £400,000 per week. De Gea is on £375,000 per week. Putting an extra £25,000 per week on top of what De Gea earns for Pogba isn’t a big deal. Retain Pogba, sign Ndidi and forget all those bums the media are parading lately. Neves, Goretzka, Rice, Camavinga, etc have nothing on Pogba. If Pogba leaves, it would be 1 step forward, 9 steps backwards. And this is why I keep saying Solskjaer is a möron. |
Man Utd fans don’t deserve Pogba. Pogba left the competition in the round of 16 and no other midfielder was able to make more through passes than Paul Pogba. Pogba is too good to be playing for United.
|
raumdeuter:I remember Cristiano also pausing doing his run up against Cech in Moscow. Cech didn’t move an inch. By the time Ronaldo kicked the ball, he had lost momentum and the shot was a bit weak, Cech smartly saved it. Another kicker with that technique is once the goalie doesn’t do what the shooter expects from him, the shooter becomes lost or confused and he’s more likely to miss his shot. I have seen this happen more than 100 times. |
TheLequte:Jorginho has scored from 29 penalties, missed 4. Fernandes has scored from 41 penalties, missed 3. It’s clear as daylight that Bruno is deadlier at taking penalties. It would be interesting to see Bruno’s hopping technique versus Donnarumma’s waiting game. |
Expert17:The note is a guess. It’s highly unreliable. Donnarumma has saved 13 penalties in Serie A out of 32 he has faced. He’s not saving them because of coach note. He saves them by waiting until the very last second before making his move. If he’s relying on coach note, he would be diving way before the kick. Rashford kept his eye on him in the run up to see if he would make his move early. Donnarumma waited and waited and waited for Rashford to make his move first. Expert17:How so? Planted foot Hip swing You can’t go wrong with those two indicators. |
raumdeuter:So Pirlo changed his mind as he ran up to the ball? Another knife stab to GK coach note. ![]() |
raumdeuter:Saka is left footed. He ran from the right to approach the ball. His run up gave his intention away. |
Expert17:He couldn’t - look at the direction of his planted foot. You can try it at home. The direction you pick would be revealed by your planted foot. Expert17:That was why Rashford missed. If you try to cheat nature by going the direction of the planted foot, you would lose shot power and accuracy. It’s a very difficult skill to attempt. You could even kick your own foot and slip like John Terry in 2008 CL final. |
Expert17:That was what Donnarumma did to Sancho and Saka. He waited for the planted foot before the kick and was able to see the direction of the hip/planted foot. He saved them with class.
|
raumdeuter:Enyeama the philosopher - he couldn’t save any one of the penalties. The last kick was the funniest, Enyeama left his line and tiptoed forward and still failed to narrow the angle. |
Expert17:That is the moment Kane would think I need to get my percentage of shots to the right up and sell you to Cotonou. ![]() |
Karleb:Hahahahahahaha - This is so untrue. ![]() |
raumdeuter:Expert17, so what will your GK coach note say here? ![]() As for taking penalties, I don’t think players should be too cute or overthink it. If they pick a spot and take a fierce shot, the possibility of a goalkeeper saving it even if he dives in the right direction is very slim. The ball would have breezed into the net before he makes a dive. Rashidi Yekini has the best technique for penalties as far as I am concerned. All those hopping techniques of Bruno Fernandes and Jorginho would soon be found out. Pickford humiliated Jorginho in that shootout and that could have cost Italy the win. |
Expert17:You are just waffling at this point. No GK coach note can ascertain where a taker would put the ball. Bukayo Saka has never taken penalty for Arsenal or England. So what did Donnarumma’s coach note say? ![]() Football isn’t exactly science. Penalty takers put the ball left, right, middle, top bins, etc. It’s as the spirit leads. |
Expert17:So why didn’t Unai Simon save any of the penalties taken by United’s outfield players? He didn’t read his GK’s coach note? ![]() |
