Bombblacks:There wouldn’t even be a stadium to go to if there are no club owners. ![]() |
Bombblacks:They are just consumers. Football provides entertainment and you pay to watch the entertainment. Just like you paying to watch an opera. It’s a transactional business. This is why most club owners don’t rate football fans. You(as a fan) do not have the rights to decide how the opera must play to your taste or complain that the soprano of one of the members of an opera isn’t strong enough. Those are some of the entitlements football fans get to enjoy. Imagine someone as daft as QueenAlabi sitting in the stands bellowing match tips at world class athletes. “Come on KDB, cross it! Yeah yeah, make the run, drop back”. The audacity! |
Bombblacks:What silly connection? You people overrate yourselves. You are a mere phytoplankton of the footballing food chain. ![]() |
raumdeuter:Football fans rub me the wrong way. The average football fan is one of the most deluded and over-sentimentalised creatures in modern life. Our judgement is utterly flawed and we often overrate ourselves in the grand scheme of things. Imagine football fans issuing Fatwa on a player that has chosen to come play for them. A whole Neuer for that matter. The audacity is hilarious. After winning virtually everything, has their stance on Neuer changed over the years? Do they see him as a hero now or they still think he’s shït? |
melodyogonna:Pogba does this every time he plays for France. At United, nobody really makes intelligent runs apart from Rashford who can also be erratic with his runs. Martial wants ball to feet - one of the laziest forwards in the history of the game. Daniel James has no directional sense and he’s also erratic at controlling the ball. With France, Griezmann, Mbappe and Benzema made perfect runs and Pogba was finding them with ease. He had the most through passes in the Euros despite getting kicked out in the round of 16. Pogba is the best midfielder on the planet - he can do everything and that sometimes work against him. When Man City or United concede goals, nobody every blames KDB or Bruno but someway somehow Pogba gets blamed. Pogba is the only midfielder expected to defend, score, assist, and basically do everything in the midfield. When he doesn’t score, KDB/Bruno is better than him. When his team concedes, he’s automatically compared to Kante. One player gets compared to AMs, CMs and CDMs at the same time. It’s insane! |
Expert17:It’s a club rivalry thing. Pogba had made some nasty comments about PSG in the past. It’s got nothing to do with skills. Gueye, Herrera and many other bums are playing for PSG, so why wouldn’t they want Pogba if it’s about football skill? This is the back story…..

patrickmuf:I like that explosive style - he reminds me of Rafael when he first arrived and everyone quickly forgot about Gary Neville. ![]() |
patrickmuf:I don’t think Lindelof can do better than what he’s offered so far. His ceiling isn’t very high. However, it’s better to have options like we do in case any of them has a long term injury. I heard Woodward is after Trippier. I don’t understand that signing at all. If someone should be signed to improve Wan Bissaka like Telles improved Shaw, it should be that boy in Brighton(Tariq Lamptey). |
patrickmuf:It’s still an excellent signing. His wages shouldn’t matter. Varane has won 18 club competitions, he’s won more CL titles than United and Arsenal put together. I don’t have any problem at all with his signing. He’s better than Maguire/Lindelof. |
Oasis007:Ndidi(first choice) Camara(Salzburg) Camavinga(Celta Vigo) Doucoure(Lens) |
Oasis007:His numbers are better going forward. One would be getting less than half of his amazing talents by asking him to sit in the DM position. I want a stationary pillar in the DM. We already have two creative midfielders in Pogba and Bruno. Putting Camavinga there to join them is an overkill. Who would defend if we lose the ball? |
Oasis007:He’s the best and the most elite fit for this role. Camavinga is also decent but he has more to give going forward than restricting him to the role of a water carrier. I also like the look of Renato Tapia of Celta Vigo. The Peruvian even gets busier than Ndidi in snapping at the ankles of any intruder in his zone. He’s like prime Makelele. He misses nothing in his area.
|
Oasis007:United just need an elite DM that can intercept and loves to defend. He doesn’t even need to know how to carry the ball forward. Tackle/intercept > Win the ball > Pass it 5-10 yards to Pogba or Bruno. |
Oasis007:Varane will be on £400k/week at United though. |
Oasis007:Who should he play in the midfield? |
engrelvis:You can’t compare Abramovic to FSG. Abramovic would have sacked Klopp after his 2nd trophyless season at Anfield. If they didn’t sack him after 3 years of winning nothing for them, It’s damn near impossible for him to be sacked if he fails to win the league again. Klopp’s future at Liverpool is secure. He’s untouchable. |
Oasis007:Just collect Jones’ number and give to Varane. Sell Jones to Rangers Enugu. Bombblacks:Because those other managers have what it takes to win the Premier League, Ole doesn’t have it. |
raumdeuter:Ole at the wheels is a vehicular homicide. ![]() melodyogonna:Liverpool will sack the manager that won them the PL title for the first time in 30 years? ![]() |
Bombblacks:Ole cannot finish above those 3 managers in a single season is the point. If he finishes above Klopp, Pep will finish above Ole. If he finishes above Tuchel, Klopp will finish above Ole. If he finishes above Pep, Tuchel will finish above Ole. He’s not beating those 3 managers to a title. |
raumdeuter:So you think Ole can finish above any of Tuchel, Klopp or Pep in a 38-game marathon? If you like sign Messi and Ronaldo, Ole isn’t winning the title unless those 3 managers retire tonight. |
raumdeuter:I would take Willian in 2018 over Martial. I was happy with Perisic’s potential signing at the start of 2017/18 too. United had signed Lukaku and the manager then felt there wasn’t an out and out winger that hugs the touchline and can deliver crosses to the big centre forward. He singled out Perisic for that specific task but the idiötic pundits on TV said Perisic was too old and he would affect Martial’s development. What has Martial produced since then? Nothing. There are rumours United are about to flog him to Dortumund to effect the arrival of Haaland. If Martial is so reliable, why buy Cavani, Ighalo or what not? Martial flatters to deceive. He flopped for 3 years straight and his cult followers attributed his failure to the fact that his #9 shirt was given to Zlatan. Man is 26 and we are still waiting for a manager to develop him. |
BikeMan:It doesn’t stand. Olesexuals have already lined up Pogba’s potential departure as an excuse. If Ole fails to win this season, they are going to say Pogba left thus disrupting Ole’s plan. If Pogba doesn’t leave, they would say he’s unsettled and that has caused a bit of confusion in the dressing room. It’s like you don’t know the people you are dealing with. The same rētards that all agreed here last season Ole deserves a sack if he didn’t win the Europa league have been kee-keeing with joy since he signed a new contract. Ole could go 20 years without a trophy and his cult followers would see progress. If it’s not cultural reboot, it’s the average squad age or some other irrelevant stats. |
Oasis007:I will be here when Shoretire gets sold to Accra Hearts of Oak. |
Oasis007:Which proves the players you are hyping are not good. ![]() |
Kelvinsteve1000:Rice vs Ndidi. ![]() Rice isn’t particularly good at anything. If he wasn’t born an English player, he would be trafficking illegal immigrants in a truck from Calais. He’s English though so expect his transfer fee to be double that of Ndidi. Rice’s zero talents get praised more and some idiotic United fans prefer him to Ndidi cos SkySports said so.
|
Oasis007:2 assists against which teams in preseason? QPR and which other club? ![]() |
raumdeuter:Perisic - A very intelligent winger that contributed immensely to Croatia getting into a World Cup final and a treble winner is not significantly better than Martial? What has Martial achieved in his career apart from YouTube clips made by his cult followers? |
timay:This is like saying Lukaku wasn’t discarded. They don’t have to give you a sack letter before you know you are not wanted. Ole told Lukaku to play on the wing to accommodate Rashford. That was the sign he needed to see to know Ole doesn’t respect him. Players with ambition don’t feed on crumbs. Gomes wanted first team appearances and he wasn’t getting it - same as a Pogba in 2012. They forced their move with the aim of proving themselves elsewhere. |
raumdeuter:How much are they paying for Varane at the same age? ![]() Money wasn’t even the issue with Perisic. The media said Perisic would disturb Martial’s development. Ole’s cultural reboot and the trust in youth policy has signed 4 pensioners in less than 3 years. The contracts of Mata(33) and Grant(38), etc have also been recently renewed. Who is fooling who? |
timay:How did they get affected more than big teams? How many points did the small teams get from big teams? Would City have lost 5 points to a newly promoted Leeds if the 5 subs rule was allowed? timay:This is a silly argument. A big team with squad depth can only use a maximum of 14 players in any game under the current rule. All the small teams in PL can match that strength with a full XI and any 3 decent players on their bench. It’s a better coping mechanism than having to compete with 16 players in every game. Most small clubs don’t have 16 decent players in their squad to cope with the big teams. 14 problems are easier to deal with than 16 problems, it’s a no brainer. |
Oasis007:Isn’t that the point? These guys were the best in their class. Elanga and those other bums won’t make it. They are not even as talented as Angel Gomes and Gomes has since been discarded to Lille. |
patrickmuf:That is the biggest priority in my own opinion and I think it’s a blind spot for the so called 58 scouts working for the club. How can they not see McFred will never deliver a title? |
