Aside from Lindelof and Maguire, we don't have any other CB(s). AWB is far ahead of all available RBs, no wonder Ole won't stop feeding him. Shaw is a Legend already, coz no waste I've ever seen worse than Telles.

Ole would have told them not to try anything risky at the back. Don’t bomb forward unnecessarily and lose the ball when United don’t have the personnel to fight back.

We have seen Bailly travel with the ball forward several times. It’s an ability he’s got. Don’t use this game to set an agenda for Bailly. He’s better than the other CBs at the club.

Ole could argue too that Mata is a UCL and World cup winner, Matic has won 2 EPL titles, Telles has captained multiple Portuguese champions and Brazilian international, DDG has won EPL too, VDB is a UCL semifinalist and won multiple titles with Ajax., Greenwood is an English International player. Ole will even claim to be annoyed for denigrating the abilities of his players.

If United were in a title race(a point above or below City) and it happened that the game against Liverpool was cancelled and we got the same tight fixture, would Ole have fielded this team?

In 2009/2010 season, with 2 matches left to play, Chelsea was topping the table with 1 point ahead of United, Chelsea will play Liverpool at Anfield, all they needed to do was to avoid defeat and Man U win their remaining matches versus Hull city and Sunderland, what did Liverpool do? They put up one of the most embarrassing performance ever seen, Chelsea won the game and won the title. Sir Alex Ferguson noted it and was dissapointed, but Liverpool and there fans were very happy that Man United could not knock them off their perch that year. KARMA.

They still fielded a strong team in that game and it could be argued Chelsea just happened to overpower them.

There’s no excuse for what Ole has done here.

Van Dijk didn’t play the whole defence himself but see how his arrival at Anfield transformed them from also-rans to title contenders.

Koulibaly is a leader. Lindelof, Bailly and the rest would have learnt a shitload from him by now. You get elite players not only because of what they offer but what they can teach the younger players.

You have Maguire now, bought for £80m. The defence has deteriorated under him. There’s one error in every game United play either from him or his fellow defenders. Lindelof hasn’t improved since 2018. Tuanzebe’s fortune has reversed.

The author is most likely a fan of Chelsea, Man City or Liverpool. He knows Ole will never win a league title and he wants him around for a long long time while his club packs the shiny titles.

Who gives a shit about how happy or how DNA-fulfilled United’s recruitment are. The main objective of playing in any competition in sports is to win a title.

Until Ole does that, he’s a failure.

What do you mean by United had the money? With the way we talk about City's and other club money, one would believe those guys can easily afford ordinary 90£ if they believe the investment is a very good one. Yet my guy still remains in Napoli, nobody wan carry am.

Look at Bruno, United went back for him just 5 months after. But Koulibaly, nobody is doing that

United bought Daniel James and paid a loan fee for Ighalo(in January), they could have lumped all those money together to get an elite centre half(Koulibaly).

Now we have an £80m inferior defender that needs another £60m partner to function. It’s the definition of penny wise, pound foolish.

Never ever buy an inferior product, you would spend more servicing the inferior product than getting an authentic one.

Ask yourself why United got Bruno without any competition.

Most of the other clubs considered him too high risk.

As for Koulibaly, his price was what drove many clubs away. Napoli wanted £90m or so. Guardiola wanted to sign him but the price was just too much for him.

United actually had the money but went for the inferior version of him. It wasn’t as if Koulibaly was affordable and no one wanted him. Plenty of clubs wanted him but weren’t able to sign him because of the high fee.
