ba7man: What brand is he representing??

Does that brand look responsible to you??

At his age.........at least Denrele will be excused because he's also into entertainment but he's half Charlie-boy's age.
What is responsible?
CelebritiesRe: E get as e dey go-A message by Charly Boy by Illuminatus(m): 10:49am On Aug 07, 2014
ba7man: Who told you they count him serious?? They don't.

Dress like Charlie-boy and go job hunting or for a meeting with a board anywhere in the world and see how they'll react to you.......Even when you're speaking sense

This is simple comon sense.
He isn't going for a job interview He doesn't even need one.
CelebritiesRe: E get as e dey go-A message by Charly Boy by Illuminatus(m): 10:47am On Aug 07, 2014
ba7man: He might have spoken sense right there but I refused to read it fully since one part of my mind pictures it coming from that "weird looking" man taking "weird looking" pics with that "weird looking" girl.

Lesson: If you want people to take you serious look the part.

You can't dress up like a gay gangster and expect people to take you serious.

Dress the way you want to be addressed.
This is exactly what he was talking about. Why does he have to look like a banker for you to take him serious? There are people who dress well, but talk and act silly. don't read a book by its cover. Leave what is written on the bus and enter the bus.

edogho: not all cosmetic stores sell it. (search for it urself for i don't sell grin)d full name's "magic shaving cream", produced by d same magic that makes magic powder. Buh, dis one is a cream. just apply on ur beards and wait for some few minutes (u can even make designs if u want to grin) then use d sharp bottom of d container to wipe off. u'll see ur beards leaving ur face.
one sweet thing about d cream is that it removes all hairs unlike clippers. i prefer d blue and white container because of its methol.
One more thing, don't put it on d hairs on ur head o....i guess u know what will happen if u do grin see advertiser o, i try die i swear grin . nuf said.
Thank you, bro.

FamilyRe: What If You Have An Academic Blockhead For A Child! by Illuminatus(m): 11:08am On Aug 04, 2014
Nobody is born a dummy. Everyone is born with relative equal brain size. But various children develop mentally due to environment, especially parents, school and emotional stimuli. Most Nigerians don't know or agree with this and this the first mistake. Parents must start training their ward mentally as soon as possible, 3 years. The thing is that at some point, it becomes too late to make substancial progress. Your cousin isn't academically hopeless yet. You guys just need to stop antagonising him and understand that he isn't willingly failing.

tpia1: where are you getting all this from?

sounds like your imagination.

only someone whose religious beliefs were weak to begin with, would engage in all that.
It isn't from my imagination. Some members of the family hold this idea. Some older adults I have talked to about the subject thought the same thing. Two of my grand uncles who acquired university education don't go to church and the family explains this as it's because they've learnt too much that they don't believe in God. *shrug*

nora544: Sorry that is not tru, the catholic church make very much for the education, the monastery was the center of the education for a very long time and also astronomie.
There are many old Universities in europa who are build from the catholic church.

When you see how many old books the monasteries have here in europa you will look and so many are very old and where written by the hand of monks.
I didn't say that the church is totally against education. It just doesn't like it when education raises answers that threaten it.

adanduka: Most of us have settled with the current trend of indecency and lack of morals that's why we don't find this survey disturbing.
I personally seem to tolerate a lot of things I see on TV or from people; things that I detested many years ago.
As a fresher, I remember a girl in my university on a hot mini who strutted out feeling cool with herself but was chased back by guys into the hostel. Now those same guys will analyse and compare ukwu and 'oranges'.
Indecency is becoming more and more appealing especially when it's packaged 'gracefully and confidently'.
If we started from where we were to where we are now, then imagine what will become of the next generation.
What's the ethical problem with porn and dressing? Really, I don't see something ethical wrong with those two. Those two acts doesn't affect me or other people much in anyway, so I don't concern myself with it.
The thing is that change is permanent. Our mode of dressing is different from that of our parents' era, and theirs was different from that of their parents. If you don't like the change, there isn't much you can do about it except talk about it, and enjoy nostalgia.
Christianity EtcRe: Does Religion Hold People Back From Becoming Very Educated by Illuminatus(m): 12:06pm On Aug 03, 2014
I don't know for certain about Islam and how open it is (seeing as I have heard from various sources that it is against Western Education), but Christianity is quite open and definitely promotes education (except some parts). As long as your field of study isn't Astronomy or other disciplines that come against Christian beliefs (Galileo comes to mind here), Christianity is quite open and to level, encourages it.
But education does hold people back from religion. The more enlightened someone becomes, the less intriguing and interesting religion becomes. I think this is the reason for the myth that educated people aren't religious. Enlightenment gotten from education (reading other people's ideas, experiences and scientific facts) exposes some facts and poses some questions that religious people and religion can't answer...
RomanceRe: Multiple Dating? Good. by Illuminatus(m): 11:47am On Aug 03, 2014
Multiple dating is greed, and greedy people usually have nasty things waiting for them at the end. If you meet someone, go on three dates with him/her and you don't like him/her, or you feel he or she isn't the one, then please, by all means break up whatever it is and go on. Keeping more than one partner betrays the trust of the people involved and is an insult.
EducationRe: Disturbing News From Harvard University. by Illuminatus(m): 11:40am On Aug 03, 2014
Why is this disturbing? They watch porn and have sex, what's the big deal? Hopefully, they won't carry the infidelities into their adulthood. But worse happens in our universities. Students belong to cults that carry out various illegal activities. Lecturers ask students for enticements so they can pass exams, what kind of message does that pass? The lecturers pressurize students to sleep with them. Teaching the students that nothing good comes without a prize? Laying much emphasis on results rather than knowledge. There's a reason why we keep producing graduates that are overrated secondary school graduates.
This topic is like pointing out the toothpick in somebody's eyes while we have 4 by 6 plank in our own eyes.

Religion should be included, but I don't want to be. I am afraid of how those those numbers will be gotten and how it is going to be used. As it is now, people still dispute the number of people from the different tribes and regions, religion is going to be another can of worms...

LiteratureRe: What Are You Reading Right Now And What Page Are You? by Illuminatus(m): 3:21pm On Jul 29, 2014
I just got done with Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. A very good read. I wasn't really concerned about the length. The author gave me humanistic characters with personalities. Realistic plots and settings that has made believe that she has to be really there, had experienced these events herself. I recommend this book for everybody (no matter your ethnicity or religion) and advice you to read it with an open mind.
