January 10 1Corinthians 10:1-4
1. I want you to know brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea,
2 and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,
3. and all ate the same supernatural food
4. and all drank the same supernatural drink. For they drank from the supernatural Rock which followed them, and the Rock was Christ.
RSV
We live in a time when christians should be aware of their spiritual pedigree. It's sad to see many professing christians today, living like orphans with no past or history. Some even deliberately cut themselves off. They say "I have nothing to do with the OLD testament,I have nothing to do with the present church,I'm on my own".That's not godly.God encourages fellowship all throughout the Scriptures. The Psalmist says God sets the solitary in families. The passage above was written 1stly TO Corinthians (non Jews) but notice that the Jewish writer calls them brethren in verse1.In the KJV,it reads 'I would not that ye should be ignorant'.You need to know. You need to be affiliated.
Refering to the Jews(Israelites) who went from Egypt to Canaan under Moses,he said all OUR fathers. Then he begins to list some of their experiences telling us that they drank and ate from the same spiritual Rock as we presently do.He says that Rock was/is Christ.Believers are one body/family with the Old testament children of God.Their lives and books have effect and great relevance to us today. I would not that ye be ignorant.

stop copying and pasting, can you?think for yourself mr.I'm sure you're aware of the history of the yoruba people/tribe for example.if you're not then get aware.Does their descendancy from Asia beat your understanding?aa,such hypocrisy. This took just couple of centuries and There's a wide gap already. Are you aware of the yorubas in Nigeria, the ones in Togo and the ones in South America.Less than a century ago,FYI they were together.Bring them together and compare how different they're already looking like. Mr learner, there's something called change, there's something called mutation, there's something called philology, there's something called migration.Go and figure

sorry I have to sleep.I wish you could be available for discussions and not just post and run.I don't owe you any explanations. But let me say this to you.Men descended from Adam through his reproductions with Eve.Thats CLEAR if only you'll think for yourself and not stay under the bigotry of unbelief.God declared that moses was his best friend and then immediately wanted to kill him?Obviously, you've not been reading the bible but copying and pasting.anyway good night for now. You PRAY that I'm chanced to see your replies tomorrow.to God of course

i get your point, notwithstanding, let's take into consideration that some laws are made as the need arises. All laws are not 'eternal'.The laws of God are rules, commands, injunctions. We have simple ones that are just from a period or to a period.the beginning and the end has power to start laws when He pleases and end them when He wishes in accord with His nature. He who made the laws of gravity stopped it to allow the ascension of Elijah. He's not contradicting it,HE's fulfilling His will.He introduced a law to Adam when He told him not to eat of the fruit of THE tree.He introduced a law to Abraham when He told him to circumcise his household. He introduced a law to the 12disciples when He gave them a new law of love.He gave Moses the law of sabbath. He is author and finisher. He can start and He can stop. He's unlimited. No one tells Him when to introduce anything.God does what He pleases.Be blessed

I've not put abraham as a bridge or a turning point.you keep mentioning Abraham.what I said was that even till the time of Abraham, there was no law handed to man against incest.Sorry if you got me wrong but I wasn't implying that the law came to be at the time of Abraham.i just mentioned Abraham to show the time gap between Adam/Cain and the law/Moses.There's big time gap already inbetween Abraham and Moses. Now there's no need imagining a contradiction where there is none. There was NO law given to man against incest when Cain was alive. The law was given at the time of Moses.where there's no law, there's no transgression. That's in the Bible.I'm aware of and agree with your logic about the high tension wire and ignorance. That's not my point here.My point is there was no law against such.Moses law against incest was not an amendment.amendment of what. There was no law

sin is the transgression of the law.like Romans4 says, where no law is there's no transgression. The law against 'incest' was put in place during the time of Moses.sin is simply disobedience to God's command.it has nothing to do with God changing. It's not necessarily ritual killing or blasphemy.it could be a little lie to save face.It could be a little don't look back.Every thing against God's revealed plan is sin.if the revealed plan is 'do not go to Asia to preach at this time',disobedience to that will be a sin/offence/transgression. If God says don't eat this or that, then keep it.If tomorrow He says eat it,I have clensed it,then you eat it.He's the boss. It's not a matter of God cannot change. That's not the root of what is meant by the unchanging God.If God remained static and not forgive your sins, wouldn't He be 'unchanging'?at the times of this ignorance God winked at but now commandeth every man to repent'Repent and believe the gospel.

January 9 Hebrews 9v26
26. For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. KJV

This verse is saying something to us. It is telling us that what the priests did from year to year,Christ Jesus did perfectly once and 'for all'. 'He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. '. That was His chief purpose. That was why He appeared. He appeared to put away sin. Some people thought Jesus appeared to restore the kingdom to Israel. Some thought he appeared to be providing food for multitudes. Some thought He appeared to form/start a religion. Some thought He appeared so that they could have more power and gifts and money like Simon the sorcerer of Samaria thought. But He appeared to put away sin. That is Scripture. If Jesus has not put away sin in your life,His purpose of coming has not being fulfilled in you. You may be enjoying other benefits of His coming. You may be celebrating christmas, enjoying health, even answers to prayers, promotion etc. But make sure His main purpose of coming is fulfilled in you from Today. He appeared, to put away sin, by the sacrifice of Himself.

About incest being a sin.you'll do well to recall that sin is missing the mark of God's standard of righteousness. In lay man terms, sin is disobedience to God,simple.Where there's no law, there's no sin.If God says don't jump up,and you jump up,you've committed sin.Why because you disobeyed God,not necessarily because of what you feel about jumping up.At the time of Adam and Eve,even till Abraham, there was no law against incest. Now the law is in place, and as they say 'the hands of the law are big to catch offenders'.Cheers to you

i understand what you're saying.anybody that studies bacteria, mouse and virus can easily study humans.anybody that treats dogs can easily treat children. No sir no.Humans are of a different class, created in a different image.the human anatomy is distinct and higher in every way.I'm glad you know that science has got its many limitations. It cant be a final authority on these matters.I'll rather agree with the bible than current day science because I know they're coming to meet us.The Word is indeed Truth.
Talking about a limited heterogeneity required for success and continuity,I'll like to tell you/remind you that Adam and Eve weren't created limited.they were UNLIMITED.Perfect, very good. They lived for 100s of years. They had the heterogeneity required to replenish the earth.God made it so.And by the way, when Eve was created,GOD did something greater than cloning.something that is yet to enter the human mind.Eve was not a clone, she was a Complement.created to make Adam complete,a help meet.not a clone. These 2Perfect creatures had 'limited homogeneity'.and if you know what is called mutation, you'll know that positive changes do occur in gene structure that can enhance continuity.

January 8 Proverbs 8:36
36. But whoever fails to find me harms himself; all who hate me love death. NIV

It would be ludicrous for anybody to say he hates water. Although water could cause grief,it could sink a ship,it could carry away a friend that was careless at the beach. It could flood your property, but still it will be ludicrous to get angry with water. Can you fight water, can you do without water? Plain NO. The same thing goes for oxygen. If you block your nose to stop oxygen from coming in,you love death. You're undoing your self. These are necessities of life. You hate them, you wrong your soul. The same thing goes for God.If you hate Him or deny Him,you will suffer for it. To function at maximum, you need God. Our passage today is talking about wisdom. Wisdom is key. Wisdom is vital. If you hate wisdom/fail to find wisdom/sin against wisdom, you destroy your own soul. You suffer yourself.Lack of common sense is deadly. Wisdom is necessary for your life. Get wisdom and get understanding. The fear of God is the start of wisdom.

Surely,it will,Be patient people,a thousand years is like one day before God,so if God says next tomorrow after Jesus resurrected, that would be in two days time.In our eyes, that would be 2000+.that could be anytime from now.what if he said, next week, that's still pretty soon to Him,though that's long long long to us on earth, because of our nature, just 75yrs and we're tired already.God has all the time,He's got all eternity.when it will, the world will come to an end.Nobody knows when but God.more importantly, how prepared are you for that end.you could be gone too soon next week.No man can assuredly boast of his life/when he'll die.All the same, prepare to meet your God.Don't be tired in watching,we don't know when he shall come

I'm not arguing with you,I'm talking fact abi were you the one that carried out the research or came to the conclusions,no,you read something that was revised and will still be revised in the very near future.A lot of work is still going on in the field and the best instruments are yet to be invented. With God in the equation, there's more to reproduction than chromosomes and gene pool.you can't just imagine by probability that reproduction will cease in few generations because of some probable homogeneity or some likely mutation.
Christianity Etc › Re: From Where Did Cain's Bride And Her Family Originate? by Image123(m): 6:49pm On Jan 07, 2009
See someone talking of mutation and gene pool as if he didn't read it in some revised textbook. How can you draw conclusions from such probability?

January 7 John 7:38
38. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
The number of Christians in the world today is very large. The unfortunate thing is that a greater percentage of this number can be described as 'wishy-washy'. A wishy-washy person doesn't have well established or clear ideas and looks unable to decide what he wants. That is the state/situation of many christians today.Unstable as water. What is popularly called 'bread and butter christians'.They're not grounded firm and deep in the faith. If problems should arise or their faith be questioned or put under scrutiny, they waver because they were never grounded,wishy-washy. But Jesus expects that anyone that believes on Him should have rivers of water flowing from his belly. He's refering to the Holy Ghost. The power of God available for every believer. That is the plan, that is the expectation.Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? It's in you. It's the plan.RIVERS of living water should flow through you as a believer.Sit up and get established in the faith.

January 6 Nehemiah6v11-13
11. And I said, should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being as I am,would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.
12. And,lo,I perceived that God had not sent him;but that he pronounced his prophecy against me: for Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.
13. Therefore was he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so,and sin,and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me.

Children of Jehovah God are the most privileged specie ever. The righteous by default, are as bold as a lion.Nehemiah was truly a champion. He walked in the steps of his predecessors. The likes of Joshua and Caleb,Samson and David. He was bold for the cause of his God and his people. His enemies had earlier sent an unreasonable message of fear to him,he rebuffed it.They now sent a 'reasonable' message of fear to him,an 'advice'. He was to go into the temple to hide. But he knew better. If only we know better today, the devil will be greatly ashamed.Nehemiah said 'I will not go in'.Should such a man as I flee?A child of God,having the abiding presence of Christ.Having the Word of God and of power, right in the mouth.KNOWING that the evil bow before the good.'I WILL NOT GO IN'.Satan will not chase you in.Resist the devil, and he will FLEE from you.v13 considers fear as sin.Never give in to fear. The Lord, mighty in battle, the God of hosts is by you.

7. (For we walk by faith, not by sightsmiley
Faith! If you believe, you'll see the glory of God.Only believe.Walking by faith and not by sight i.e living by faith and not just on visible things. That is the best way to live.God never fails to plan the best things for us.Walking by faith, you can laugh at all things.Walking by faith will shut the devil out.Smith Wigglesworth once shared testimony of a lady who came to a meeting in Lancashire,England to be healed of goitre. She got up and testified that she'd been wonderfully healed. The following year,at the next convention, she came again to testify.By sight,it looked as if the goitre was just as big as ever but she went home happier and testifying more strongly that God had healed her.The third year, she was at the convention again.By/At sight, some people said how big the goitre had become. She came up again to testify of how God healed her goitre two years ago. That day, someone challenged her that people would think something was wrong with her & that she should look into the glass.
Then she prayed that God should show the people that He had healed her as He had shown her.She slept peacefully that day and woke up the following morning without a trace or mark of that goitre. For we walk by faith and not by sight.

the crux is that the bible is a spiritual book and you do not understand spiritual things.whether one book is more spiritual than the bible or not is insignificant.even if the bible was the least spiritual of spiritual books, you can't really understand it until you're CONVERTED.I said its like trying to teach your dog A-Z.it just would not comprehend.
Please can you tell mazaje to stop copying and pasting explanations of books he doesn't believe in.that doesn't sound logical(putting forward explanations and research for things that you do not believe exist but are just fairy tales).Does he believe those scripture passages, and his pasted explanations or is he confused?
