Firstly, I don't think you're aware of all the miracles happening in the whole world.I wonder where you got your stats that no dead are raised.2ndly,when/where in God's assessment does raising dead bodies show a mark of being God sent?I remember John baptist,the greatest man in God's eyes,I don't recall him raising dead bodies.Yet he was the greatest.I think that teaches that raising corpses isn't top priority in God's agenda.

Its funny how people who do not believe in God or in the bible or in the practise of christianity are so enthusiastic to preach and interpret Bible to us by force.The carnal man doesn't understand the things of the spirit.Get spiritual or get godly counsel instead of confusing yourself and wasting webpages

Every child of God is blessed.Check out the promise(s) in our scripture above.Its good to read the Word of God.It's like checking your account balance.You can confidently withdraw.No wonder the apostles said faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.A child of God obeys His word.He is not a child of  disobedience.Any body that disobeys becomes a child of disobedience i.e a child of the devil.But for a child of God,it is Blessings galore.All you need to do is withdraw.And you know what? TODAY,you can withdraw confidently.

I didn't ask if anybody can witness death.I asked if they have discovered death.i.e Have they had an encounter with death?Of course not or thy'll be dead dead dead.Does that prove that death doesn't exist?Does any human being or scientist have a sure idea of how many stars exist?does that mean that they don't exist?Is it not recently that they just knew about solar system and nine planets and co?Some are even saying that they discovered another planet in the solar system or is it another satellite.The point is human knowledge is very limited and the fact that scientists haven't discovered something doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

I think it is wisdom that you reconsider your marriage plans as the pastor has adviced you.What's your pupose of taking the test if you won't yield to its advice.People have gone that line and many times its the children born that have had to suffer for it most.Thou shalt not tempt the Lord your God.If you really love her/ believe that God has told you to marry her,then you can pray now as well and believe God and go for another test.with God, all things are possible.Just an advice please.

I think you got me wrong.I have not gone to support them buying whatever.I'm only hoping that we are careful to mind our own businesses where possible.Talking about pastors/GOs/MOGs is not the same as correcting them.If you've noticed on nairaland,most times such so called corrections often degenerate into slander, evil speakings and bitterness.and the centre of discussion is not even aware.We don't have to condemn/judge what we don't even know head/tail about.Its not compulsory and it rarely edifes anyone

The judgment of God is coming on the whole earth.One warning to remember.don't mock it.How unfortunate today, that some laugh at God's coming judgement.They even try to make it look stupid and unreasonable.But remember,making jest doesn't cover fact.It can only at best give temporary relief.God is going to punish the world for their iniquities.Thank God.We live in a period of grace (unmerited favour).People who deserve to be judged instantly for their evil works are living long and seemingly prosperous lives.It is God's desire that such people repent (turn away) from their evil works and escape from judgement.You should not take grace for granted nor patience for permission.Repent today please.I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption by fire, even determined upon the whole earth and its inhabitants.

I have read the bible from cover to cover many years ago before i studied engineering at university. Reading it again with an open mind and the knowledge that i now have of the sciences including physics, geology, chemistry, astromony, and the origin and properties of materials is actually causing me to question a lot of the stories contained within it.
I understand the fact that when it was written, people did not understand the nature of this world and the universe as we do now, but as it was written by God, then why does a lot of it not make sense.
Like for instance: the stars falling down from the sky and being trampled underfoot. People didnt know how big stars are back then, but now we know that it would be impossible.
Or the story of Joshua commanding the sun to stand still at Gideon and the moon to stay over the valley of Aijalon so that his army could have a longer day to finish their slaughter when they thought that the enemy was about to escape under cover of darkness. We now know that the planets rotate around the sun and not the sun around the earth as was thought back then.
Poor old Gallileo was arrested by the church, charged with heresy, thrown in prison, forced to recant his research and finally put in house arrest until he died for publishing what is now known as a fact!
As a lifelong christian, but also with my knowledge of the sciences i am having difficulty with many other passages in the bible which i wont go into now.
A work colleague has recommended i read a book called "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins. I saw it on amazon and see it has some very good reviews. Has anyone else read it?

As you said,you still need to study it.Infact the Bible encourages us to study it daily.Meditate on it day and night.Study prayerfully and wih the help of the Spirit of God not just brain work.The bible is a spiritual book.Also build your biblical understanding's foundations on what the Bible says e.g I dont recall the bible saying that people were trampling on stars as stated above in bold or that the earth was created a particular number of yrs ago etc.Also hear that sciece study corroborates the story of Joshua delayuing he sun and moon.The Bible doesn't anywhere say that the earth is flat.It actually hinted that the earth was round in Isaiah.Anyway, signs and wonders are not orinary happenings.they are MIRACLES.i.e the laws and theories in physics and engneering may not cover them.It takes faith.What does science know by the way?they're still doing research.They just beginning to understand how things function

For you to truly understand the bible, you must study about the bible this includes bible history and origins. You must also understand the circumstances surrounding each book of the bible you read hence it might confused you or be quoted out of context. The bible is truly a very intersting book to read, but you would never be able to truly appreciate it or understand it under the tutelage of of organized religion. You have to read it with an open mind.

I agree this things are good to study i.e history and origin.Some of us also study them and appreciate them.But they are not compulsory or pre requisite to understanding the Word of God.I've seen people who knew little or no history and yet are enviable Christians who have their names in the book of life and are going to heaven.They live fulfilled and prosperous lifes according to the promise of God.The sure way to understanding the Bible is to be a true child of God, to have the Spirit of God, and to remember all you have read in the Word as you read.It is the Spirit that gives life to the Word.Personal braggadocio and brilliance in maths and english wouldn't help.the letter killeth

O my God,I trust in You i.e my belief,my confidence,my hope is in You(Lord).Not in my self,not in my money,not in my parents,not in my job,not in my friends,not in my beauty, or anything around me.The Good news Bible says it this way in Proverbs3."Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. "My prayer is that God will not let you to be ashamed.His promise is that "my people shall never be ashamed".When the relationship is not just God over there,but O MY God,then we become not just a people but "My People".And the enemies will not triumph over us/you/me.
O my God, let not mine enemies triumph over me.If you trust in the Lord from today,let me show you some of your enemies that will no longer have dominion/victory over you
1. satan and his sons will not triumph over you.
2. sickness of whatever kind in your body or in your business will not triumph over you and
3. sin (big or small/common or uncommon/normal or abnormal) will not triumph over you.In the name of Jesus.

the Bible doesn't say that hell is under us,i.e in the earth crust.Because scientists haven't discovered it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.What do they know?B T W have they discovered or caught death?Have they had an encounter with death?does that mean that hell doesn't exist? Is it not this same great thinkers that review their imperfect theories and hypothesis from time to time?The proof that hell exists is that Jesus Christ who knows more than you said so.He is the one who is and was and is to come.All that He has said and done have proven to be true with greater accuracy than all scientific knowledge joined together.Infact I doubt if they can catch up on time.When did they jst know that the earth was round

Conceit is hinged on pride.When you're too sure of yourself.No wonder God says in His Word that we should not trust in our own understanding.There's more chance/hope for a fool to become truly wise than someone who thinks he is wise in his own way.When the word of God and people of God are warning you about what you're doing,the best attitude should be one of humility and meekness.That way,you're not likely to miss God's wisdom and will.The self conceited are taught with more difficulty than the stupid.A broken spirit and a contrite heart are acceptable before God.Little
wonder then that the first (1st) thing Jesus said in the beatitudes is "blessed are the poor on spirit,for theirs is the kingdom of heaven".

Honey is an important constituent of the diet of many animals.It is put to various uses by humans.So many use it medicinally.Some are now prefering it as their sweetening agent.The confectionery is everyday grateful to God for Honey and you know the world cannot do without the confectionery.Honey is useful for YOU.

God is eternal and He's got the whole world in His hands.He has made all things and therfore posseses all things.That includes you.Yes God owns you.That is why the Scriptures refer to us as children of God.We are His offspring.Actually, he has legal right over us and could choose to do what He pleased with us because we are His property.that's what you do with your property I'm sure. Graciously however,God asks "give me your heart". It's your call/decision and its for your own good.Why? because you either belong to God or belong to the devil.No fence sitting.So give God your heart.Don't let your heart be on a man/woman,or on a job, or on money,or on a football club as its popular these days.Give God your heart.Meditate on that.And let your eyes observe God's ways.
His ways, His likes and dislikes are clearly revealed in His Word (the Bible in your hand) very accessible to you.Every event is written for our observation.Let your eyes observe God's ways as you look into the Word.Look at your life in the mirror of the Word from today and make corrections.Don't just jump or shout when you read,observe.Let your eyes observe my ways.

As I type,I recall a song I used to hear several years back."brother, Jesus is coming soon,sister,Jesus is coming soon.Why not repent,receive Jesus.my friend, the Lord is coming again."It captures our task.Jesus is coming quickly, therefore repent.Walk with God for the kingdom of God is near.When Jesus comes,this passage above says He will give EVERY man according as his work shall be. Now that is more important than it may seem to you.
This reward will be for ever (eternity).Many of us work hard to have a good grade, agood job, a good promotion, a good raise etc.Many wirk so that they won't suffer when they retire.Every one seems to be working for a better tomorrow. Now tomorrow may last for about 100 years.Some do not even wish for that long.on the other hand,eternity (forever) will last for at least more than 100 years.Unfortunately, many are doing little or no work yet Jesus says my reward is with me, to give every man according as HIS WORK shall be.Some people today hide under excuse saying "God loves me just I am and Jesus has done everything.I do nothing."Today's challenge is what are you doing for God and to please God.Think and repent.

If your fiance is not born again, and you are born again,marrying him will not be what will get him born again.Decision is all yours,who are you and who do you want to spend the rest of your life with? will 2 really walk together unless they be agreed?seek godly counsel,not just public poll/opinion

All over the passages of Scripture,we'll observe that argumentative people are not encouraged.Actually, on the opposite,meekness is extolled as a fruit of the Spirit.
The New testament writes that tribulation and anguish are the promises available for the brawler.Brawlers are noisy, contentious and quarrelsome.And they don't mind to go public with their fight.Every issue is battle ground for them.There's hardly agreement. Today, we should learn to 'agree more', to be 'meek more', to be 'submissive more'. Agree with God, His Word and His children.Submit yourself to God, Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. And don't stay close to or fraternize with brawlers.
Evil communication corrupts good manners.Anguish awaits the contentious, flee from it. It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a house of society.

sorry if you feel slighted but I didn't mean to slight you when I asked if you were born again.I just noticed your desire to serve and continue serving in church,that was why I asked.you very well know that people who hold offices/positions in church without having a place in God's records are only working for themselves as they have no reward from God.That was why I asked.Well,since you believe you can't talk to your pastor and yet hold to it that he is a man of God, then I think at least you owe him or the church the duty of helping him as a brother by reporting him to his superiors.I'm not too familiar with your denomination's authority delegation,but I want to believe that your headquarters in lagos should be able to call him to order if you present your case to them rightly.Maybe you're scared of persecution that may follow as a result but I think you said they're children of God and annointed,so they should behave like children of God and repent where needs be.B T W, every christian should be bold as God hasn't given us the Spirit of fear,there should be no cringing from persecution.Anyways, just my advice.Please I'm not forcing it on you.

The proof of conversion is an immediate change of life.The evil things that displease God that I used to do,I do them no more.That is a born again person.Old things are passed away and every thing becomes new.You just feel it like you've being given a clean slate to start life with.Another chance.You'll notice in you that your conscience is more tender and willing to obey God.People who know you will begin to question you asking what happened to you.Its a wonderful change.And then there is the witness of the Holy Spirit assuring you that you've being saved and on the other hand,the devil and his agents try to deceive you that nothing has happened to you.devil tries to bring back the guilt and to convince you strongly that God cannot forgive you.But the gentle Spirit of God tells you peacefully and builds an assurance in you that you are saved.Thats why its many times necessary to tell more matured christians in church of our new experience or submit to immediate discipleship/convert class so that they can help nourish you with the sincere milk of God's word and make you a strong Christian.Being born of God means you do not commit sin again.1John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.You loose your taste for sin and you begin to walk in the light.
