How can 'we who are still alive' be referring to people who weren't alive at that time?

Are you telling me there were no scoffers at the time the book was written?

How does near now translate to thousands of years?

Revelation 22
12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.

Soon is now thousands of years? How?! Why would someone who is coming in thousands of years claim he is coming soon? Was he lying?

BTW you said it was Jesus who gave the timeline so where is the timeline Jesus gave and show where he said it would take thousands of years.

Keep deceiving yourself, and others that are slow enough to believe you. You read what was written to you but choose to dance around naked as your usual rigmarole is. Jesus Christ Himself said He did not know the exact time or any angel. Like we say, and like Paul and Peter said, it can be today or tomorrow, now or in 500 years time. Just like my signature has been saying for months. The point they usually emphasized was that of readiness, as death or rapture could bring about the Lord's presence. i still quoted Peter, reminding everyone how Jesus told him he would die, but you choose to hide your head in the sand like an ostrich.
Every servant of the Lord waits for and prays for His soon return because they know that the world will get worse and worse till He comes again. They also KNOW that if they died this minute, they will be with the Lord the next so the motive of waiting and hoping is clearly and reasonably not personal.
For the umpteenth time, SOON is not now thousands of years, it has been thousands of years as far back as the Psalms and then Peter telling us that 3000 years were a mere 3 days to the Lord. That's sooner than the time you take to pay up your debt soon. PERSPECTIVE. You certainly should stop looking through time like a rabbit.

Wow, brother. This is a great testimony. I was once like that also. I used to doubt the things of God and never believed in his servants who have been called by him to minister the word to the unsaved untill one day I was having a headache. The headache lasted for a whole day and someone suggested I call their pastor. The pastor prayed for me and after 2 days the headache disappeared. 👏🏾

You have been told several times that a thousand years is like a day before God. It therefore makes perfect sense. Jesus was God's solution for the Genesis 3 incident. He talked about Him in Genesis 3v15,16. A human being would send Jesus Christ that same evening. God sent Him thousands of years later. Open those eyes of yours if you can.

There are English learning centres all over Nigeria and other parts of the world. It is already spoken as a first language in many places. Similar places like language libraries and cultural heritage centres are also open in the locations where those languages are prevalent. So it makes some sense to open in the South East FIRST. Our local languages are being eroded and metamorphosed also, so that is yet another reason to open in the SEast to help with preservation. The elephant in the room is obvious, the South East is not safe or attractive.
The subtle snake in the room why i say its a bad decision AT THE TIME is the ongoing tribal tensions of Igbos flocking to Lagos and the other states in their droves and DEMANDING to have an equal say in how the state is being run. There is also the gradual push for State of Origin to be made invalid. It's becoming a cause for concern with the charged atmosphere since the last Labour Party elections campaign.

Foolish move AT THIS TIME. Obvious question is, why Lagos?

She possible cannot know her biological father. She grew up as TB's daughter from the story and videos. She grew up with rumors and taunts of being a bastard, not an orphan. They treated her like an illegitimate child. So, it's fair if she thinks that way.
i don't completely buy the bullying or shaming story/video. Powerful people can shame and lie on weak people and they get away with it. i have seen people abused before and they can be very submissive to all kinds of allegations in that situation. It was clear that TB's name and fame was being protected. For someone that covered up deaths of many foreigners, this one is a very small thing. Someone that pays you over $90,000 can get you to write a letter and do his bidding so it doesn't fly for me, to be fair.

TB is her father. One, they all call him daddy and he's the only daddy she's ever known. A man that claims to have spent over 100,000 USD as her legal father. What are we now saying?
