LordReed:
For people who are expecting Jesus to come back it baffles me how spending N100bn on an auditorium makes a lick of sense. The Bible that these people follow records the Apostles spending money on their fellow believers for their needs not on fancy meeting places. It baffles me how this is what they think is a priority, except of course this is the result of church organisation in action. LoLz.
And you can confidently say that they are not spending money on the needy? Even Jesus Christ did not spend all on the so called needy or ask people to do so. If that's what you feel is better for you, simply spend your all on the needy.
The poor will always be there until Jesus Christ comes. You can't live all your life for the poor. They are building without one naira from you or much sweat and you still dey complain. Let people that can do great things do them as far as it does not stop them from being prepared for the Lord's return. He's coming again.

Kindly be corrected, women are no minority in any part of the world. They are politically oppressed not a minority. A minority signifies numbers & women are usually more populated and available politically. Unfortunately, part of those who oppress and suppress women are women themselves. Because they don’t support one anothet in good deeds.
I agree that there will always be minorities, but saner climes have tactically doused the tension by creating affirmative action and allowing the so called minorities to take significant political offices, like Obama and Kamala Harris did for Black, Indian and Female America. The Scandinavians in Europe have even taken in further. Asia isn’t left out too. Why are we backwards in Nigeria, because Rwanda has set the pace.
So, if we have a culture of silencing the minority in Nigeria, should we encourage this backward culture with a muslim/muslim tickethuh! I don’t just get the logic?! Is it more important to win elections than to unite a VERY DIVIDED NIGERIA?!
If Tinubu is as popular as they lie he is, his influence should rub off on his vice, just like Buhari rubbed off on Osinbajo. But we lie and overhype things in these parts and claim we serve God.
Political minority i stated bro. In that, i mean they do not usually hold political office, it is very minimal, in pockets, despite their electoral numbers. For example, a good/popular politician will not likely be running as deputy for a woman, he is not likely to win.
Politics is a game of numbers, one will be naive not to take that into consideration. Nigeria is not "saner climes", we will be deceiving ourselves if we act so. We both know how long it took for the US to achieve the Obama and Harris dream, even as it stands, it is not normalcy. It is still an herculean task.
Tickets(political) are for election, not appointments. You MUST factor in the millions of poor and illiterate northerners who WILL vote like cows(one direction). Many of these guys shouting online cannot even come out on election day(maybe this election will be different). There are millions of people who have been voting in the North since forever(1999), not these new guys just collecting PVCs. Those guys up north cannot be overlooked. To win elections in Nigeria, you unfortunately must speak the language they understand. They don't understand all these grammar we are saying here. They only understand allah and their tribe. If you go and bring Obama and Trump together, they will not vote for them. They will rather vote for Ahmed Musa the footballer. If you fail to understand these basics, you will just be appearing for every election like Sowore and the gang.
Like the PDP guys said, you need to win power first before you share power. After winning power, then you can share appointments fairly and balanced. That is more important and practicable. That was where Buhari largely failed and further enhanced the divisions. It became pointless having a pastor as VP when all the appointments were lopsided. i'll rather have a Pharaoh that knows Joseph ruling than have a Pope that is more wicked and clueless than the nominal atheist. This is politics and governance, not denomination or CAN presidency. Tinubu is popular down south but not as popular in the North, he needs a strong northerner to win, that's a political fact. Unfortunately Obi doesn't have that.

Thanks for buttressing the fact that some Nigerians have been made 2nd class in their own country. This is the more reason why the rest of Nigeria MUST resist this systemic and deliberate agenda to expand the relegation of the Christian Nigeria politically.
Since Tinubu’s choice also has baggage, I am free to mention the following:
Babachir Lawal
Yakubu Dogara
Darius Ishaku
You're welcome. Like i said, it is the sad reality that we face and have almost always faced. There will always be minorities in the world and especially in Africa due mainly to the political setup by our colonialists. In different parts of the world, the women are a political minority for instance. In Nigeria, apart of the SouthWest(mostly Lagos) that is more liberal, you will hardly see people from the less dominant religion or tribe rule politically. You will not likely see a muslim governor in the SouthEast or SouthSouth. You will not likely see other tribes in government and in civil service like is common in the SouthWest. In fact, you even see people from other tribes parading as kings in SW.
So it is not a problem that started today or with this present government, although it became more pronounced.
It is not a relegation, but what has been for long. The North has had it muslim for very long and the northern christians have been largely a minority. Like i said, it would be foolish of Tinubu or any Southerner to pick a weakness politically. Politics is a game of numbers. Appointments is different, but going into elections, you sadly must consider numbers not sentiments.
The people you have mentioned are not strong politically. Dogara that cannot win his ward to return to Senate? Or the other appointees? Ishaku is largely unknown. Will you rather win Taraba or Bornu and the other KKK states as a politician?

Meanwhile i admire your writing prowess and mannerism.
i do not expect anyone of the Southerners to handle the North, but hope. The northerners that were expected to handle the North failed woefully. One thing i know is Tinubu can't be easily manipulated or controlled by the north. i sincerely cannot say same for PYO or Obi.
BTW, all the top contenders are all desperados. They've been jostling for the office by many means several times. In fact, only Tinubu is the open first timer and his famous argument is that he "waited for his turn".

There was perhaps no Christian effect, but the muslim effect of having a Muslim president for the past 7 years has dealt us a great blow, we are not willing to subject ourselves to to any muslim again....Osibanjo would have quenched the obi fire, but Emilokan wants to become president by hook or crook.
You were not dealt a great blow because he was muslim but because he was nepotistic, very slow in decision and mostly absent.
Osinbajo and Obi can't handle the North, they can't even handle their own states if push comes to shove. God forbid we have another GEJ kind of confused and paralyzed president in the name of religion and region. It's time we start getting results as a nation, not playing tribe and religion cards, i am tired of such games.
Pastor OBJ was there with his two eyes open when the 1999 constitution was foisted on us. Yet, he's more powerful and perhaps brilliant than PYO and Obi.

So in your ‘pragmatism’, there are no competent Northern Christians or the Northern Christians are less competent than the Northern Moslems?
If the Northern Moslems will not vote for a Northern Christian regardless of competence doesn’t that not say a lot about their coexistence?
Have the Northern Christians not by your ‘ ‘pragmatism’ resigned to being 2nd class Nigerians behind their Moslem Northernershuh
Your argument is a bit lackluster IMO. Just like minorities in rascist environments find it herculean to climb the political or social ladder, I believe that is what has become the fate of Northern Christians by choice.
Like you said and know, northern Christians are unfortunately second class when it comes to elections, that's a serious reality we face. So it would be foolish of Tinubu or any Southerner to pick a weakness. Feel free to mention a strong northern Christian you will have picked if it was you or that you could advise anyone to pick.

Good day to everyone..
An incident happened to me in church today and I felt embarrassed, there is this woman that I'm owing #6,400 for foodstuffs for the past three weeks, I paid # #2500 from the money and promise to balance her whenever I have money, this woman walked in during the program, this is her first time of coming to our church,i felt like the ground should swallow me when she entered the church,. I was sitting at the choir stand, I felt like urinating on my body on sighting the woman..
I didn't concentrate throughout the program, I was thinking of what to tell this woman after the program, I wanted to run away before the end of the program but I summoned courage to wait till the end of the program, this woman was already waiting outside and on getting outside I greeted her but the way she responded was bad, she started shouting and created a scene ,i tried to explain the situation of things to her and also calm her down, but people had started gathering around us,she was now explaining to people how I collected the foodstuffs, I felt like crying, I really feel bad, i have not been humiliated this way in public, but all thanks to the pastor that assisted me in paying 2k out of the money with the hope that I will come and balance her later...
This is the first time something like this is happening to me and I don't feel comfortable, how will people look at me next week Sunday?
Have you ever experienced such before?
You need to pay up your debts, Jesus did not pay that one. A borrower is servant to the lender as the Bible says. So expect it or don't borrow.

Yorubas were scarcely in PDP when Obasanjo emerged PDP presidential candidate and won presidential election. Zoning of the presidency between the north and south was the consideration for making two Yorubas to get the tickets of the 2 largest political parties then.
You don't study history. Your belief that because more Yorubas than Igbos voted for Buhari is blindfolding you from reality on ground. How does more Yorubas than Igbos voting Buhari make it the turn of Tinubu/Yoruba to succeed President Buhari?
Interesting analysis here, you're twisting and knocking history on the head here. The PDP was formed in 1998 so what do you mean by a tribe being scarcely there? The whole country wanted to compensate the yorubas because of Abiola and the 1993 elections outcome, you conveniently left this out.
This is very different from the attitude the Southeast and Southsouth has given other parties apart from PDP. They vehemently say they are PDP state and reject other parties and even their powerful people that leave the PDP. When you make your leaders irrelevant in your state, what weight can they have in the national level? People who can't even win their wards not to talk of local government or state. Even a whole governor decamping will face serious challenges in the South. You can't play opposition all day and expect to be gifted the throne at the expense of loyalty. PDP failed to reward the SE. APC has no blame in that.

I hope christians who are not slaves make a clear statement with their votes rejecting Tinubu at the 2023 polls.
That's why Christians are not the muslim North. We're not sentimental, dogmatic or emotional. We're pragmatic in our choice. Good governance has shown to have nothing to do with being a professing Christian or whatever religion. We saw it live from GEJ and PYO. Their religion was irrelevant in their incompetence.

By chosing to run a Muslim-Muslim ticket in a country like Nigeria and at a time such as now, the one clear message the APC is sending to the Christian Community in Nigeria is; DO YOUR WORST! YOU DON'T COUNT!

Beyond this insult, the most imb£cilic set of idjiots are the people who, in a bid to protect their own intestinal interest, argue that a Muslim-Muslim ticket in a highly volatile multi-religious Nigeria, , doesn't matter as long as they are competent (As if there are no competent Christians in the North). If it doesn't matter, why did some people give that as a condition for supporting Tinubu who himself is a Muslim? This is the fuulish justification we were given when Buhari was filling all sensitive positions with only people from a particular region and religion. Today, how far?

And because for some of our Daddy G.O and Men of God, the bl00d of money appears ticker than the bl00d of Christ, this insult might be left unresponded to. Some of them may even find a way to justify this even if it means standing the Bible on its head like Pastor Poju did when he turned the definition of faith upside down in a desperate bid to disguise his support for Tinubu. Pa Adeboye will deliberately play the 'see no evil and hear no evil' card. Bakare will most definitely find a way to defend this as a way of paying back his debt to Tinubu. No surprise in his own case.

But I trust the irrepressible Bishops David Oyedepo and David Ibiyeomie. Those two have never been found wanting when it comes to defending the interests of their flock.

As for CAN, I want to believe they are preparing a ROBUST counter measure beyond mere rhetorics.
Keep quiet oga. The blood of Jesus Christ has nothing to do with your national politics. Stop mixing things up, support your candidate without smearing God's name.
