I've had it since I was a small boy, and it runs in the family. Then it was scary now it's just an annoyance.

Initially I was scared that I was dead or would be stuck like this forever. Seeing scary things and hearing voices didn't help, you wanted to scream but couldn't even do that.

Sometimes I would have them every night or multiple times a day. After some years I gained control and learned how to break out of it.

So here's what you should know if you're currently going through this;

1- You're still sleeping.
2- You're not going to die just calm down.
3- Don't bother screaming no one can hear you.
4- Try to think about moving your fingers or toes, if you can move that you can slap yourself into waking up.
5- Avoid sleeping on your back I noticed that triggers it.
6- Try to avoid covering your face when sleeping, it will just make you panic when it happens.
7- The witches you hear aren't real, just ignore them and they will go away.
8- Try to see a psychiatrist or neurosurgeon, you might have an undiagnosed mental illness or brain disorder like seizures or narcolepsy.

Devil is a liar. He puts big name and explanation on oppression. My last "sleep paralysis" was over 10years ago. You know what happened? i dealt ruthlessly with the devil immediately after the last one. Since then, i've slept like a baby.

As for all your questions, they are possible by the power of God. BTW, logic is not supreme, neither is it a prerequisite for reality. Love, forgiveness, mercy are not subjects of logic for instance. I want to believe that you do not deny or disapprove their existence.

We don't know that the man is active and involved with his church, i don't think the OP said that. What the OP says is that the man is rich to the extent of owning houseS. How can the church be perfect when i said it moved on? The underlying and overriding issues in the said family are very clear. It happens in many families except that she randomly mentioned deeper life. If she did not mention a name, i would have thought MAYBE mountain of fire, or maybe white garment or maybe muslim.
Which of deeper life practice, teaching or doctrine, past or present makes a member elevate dreams, or curse her children often, or name family members witch, or have a skewed preference among the children? Is it church that made the last born to beat up his sister and her children? How exactly are we supposed to make the church responsible? A man's children married, he became depressed that they are not with him. That is the church's fault? Job loss, no social interaction, unforgiveness are the church's fault?

Hold on. Like i have said, the church never taught them to label anyone a witch not to mention a whole family. The church doesn't place emphasis on dreams but rather downplays it to a fault. The church doesn't teach people to curse, not to mention your own children. The church doesn't and never taught skewed child training and child preferences. These are the main issues in the said family.

It's a rather strange and sad story, quite surprising too. Deeper Life is a big church with millions of members, i don't think i would blame the church for this. i happen to know a couple of deeper life members, and i think i know their doctrine and teaching too. For one, they're not the dream exalting type, they're not the cursing type, they are not hideous everywhere, they don't label people witches like that. The family just seemed to have got lost in a big church unfortunately.

i believe you refer to 1Corinth 5v1 to 9. In the passage, Paul was not referring to a believer but to a fornicator belonging to satan.

There is no doubt that he can be forgiven but should there not be justice for the victim? Should the victim(s) not see justice served? Is God only a merciful God, is He not also a God of justice? Should Justice not be seen to be served?

i don't think the church is a law court. If Paul got justice from the church, he should be dead for killing people.
