I suppose if tithing is unbiblical-then you are preaching a false doctrine, lying for the cash without repentance, then I suppose it's a good chance you are heading in that direction to hell?
Your supposition is as worthless as the meaning. Jesus Christ said tithing ought to be done, QED.

And be glad to call yourself a Jew-when you are not a Jew! Gentiles need God, Tithers need money..
It makes no difference, says the Bible. I'm glad all the same whatever you call me. Don't know who fed you the last sentence, i don't see it in the Bible.

This is why I am so glad to be a Gentile-Jews tithe, Christian Gentiles don't..
Nothing wrong if they do. I'm so glad to tithe.

OkaiCorne:
Oh yes... tithing as the Jews did back then in line with the Mosaic Laws as outlined in Deuteronomy 14 v 22-29...

So were gentiles tithing too?

Do you have any examples in the old and new testament to show us where non-Jews tithed?
Good, very good. Jesus Christ said it ought to be done. Nobody goes to hell for doing it, do they?

OkaiCorne:
Do you know that even the Jews do not tithe currently?

By the way, you haven't mentioned any non-Jew that gave tithes both in the old and new testament...
I'd take it you now know that Jesus said that tithing ought to be done?
Christianity Etc › Re: The truth your pastor would not tell you about tithes by Image123(m): 3:58pm On Aug 09, 2018
OkaiCorne:
And how was tithing done back then?

Can you also give an example of non-Jews that tithed?

Because I'm wondering how a law for the Jews alone now becomes necessary for non-Jews to follow... even after what transpired in Acts 15.
So you agree that jews should tithe right? Good, because I am sure that Jesus said that it ought to be done. QED

Isn't the tithing Jesus made as a passing comment to the Pharisees what was practiced in line with Deuteronomy 14 v 22-29?

How exactly is tithing in church consistent with it?

I've also searched both the old and new testament... and I'm yet to see a non-Jew that tithed... For example, it was never stated anywhere that Job tithed... Do you know of any non-Jew that tithed?

I'm also yet to see where God instructed tithes to be given monetarily...
Forget your excuses, Jesus Christ said it ought to be done. QED

The great Maria Woodworth Ether, the grandmother of Modern day Pentecostalism was divorced three times and infact married unbelievers in some of her marriages yet she did great exploits for Christ. Cities bowed at her message of Christ.

Aimee Semple McPherson(Founder of Foursquare gospel church), Kathryn Kuhlman were not perfect either. In fact Kuhlman's earliest marriage was out of God's will. Yet she stands today as one of the few women who stirred America for Jesus.
Just want to point out some inaccurate things in the above cut, I'm not here to talk about Tinubu or women ordination. You make it sound like these wonderful women were loose and hopping from one unbeliever to another.
With the little i know, sister Maria Woodworth-Etter had just one inconvenient divorce, not three. It's very clear from her compound name that it wasn't what she wanted but had to live with. Maria had six children for Mr Woodworth who had no single desire for ministry. They lost 5of their 6 children to disease. It is in the midst of these challenges that she began ministry. She had to deal with the pressures and persecution of being a woman in ministry and being a pentecostal believer with signs following in the 19th century. Also her husband was unfaithful and was scandalously exposed. He divorced her after 26years of marriage. He died a year later BTW, and Maria took part in his memorial service. She married Samuel Etter 10years after Mr Woodworth's death so please don't disrespect her by comparing her life with Tinubu. Samuel Etter died 12years later, they never divorced. It was a happy marriage. Maria was gifted with long life and outlived most of the people around her including her only daughter who died aged 60. Maria conducted that funeral BTW.

You missed the message in the post. Go and read it again! I am not aware that a Pastor is a spouse to unbelieving husband. I am still learning though, but The RCCG that I know, where I worked as a marriage counsellor would not wed a Christian and muslim couple. So, why ordain a wife of a muslim as a Pastor?
In the first place, a woman shouldn't even be pastoring as it were, according to the Bible. But asides that, a believer married to an unbeliever can serve the Lord. e.g Timothy's mother, Lydia, John Wesley and many others.

Of course na. How can you be a follower of Christ without being born again? What then are you following Him for? It's not a twitter or facebook following we're talking about here.

knew u were daft. So how am i to provide private services when i dont share my contacts? How am i to provide private services when i am not what i am doing here is to demystify dreams. How exactly wld anyone pay someone who tells them their dreams has nothing to do with their future? You need to get beyond your hate and think clearly. Does this even look like a psychic service to you?
Here's the description of your Lord in Acts 8
9  But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:

10  To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

Anyone that claims he can demystify or has an edge of supernatural is operating in the mystic world, and the gullible ones will find them. With your years spent in high school, higher institution and over 2years on social media, you should know that you don't need to advertise or print banner to be found. i don't need to teach you like a one year old boy.

CAPSLOCKED:
SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE THEIR GOD IS TRYING TO TELL THEM THINGS WHEN THEY DREAM. SOME BELIEVE DEAD RELATIVES ARE TRYING TO TELL THEM THINGS OR GIVE INSTRUCTIONS THROUGH DREAMS. SOME EVEN CLAIM THE DEAD REVEALED THEIR KILLERS THROUGH DREAMS AND MANY PEOPLE BELIEVE THEM.
THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE THAT PRAYING PREVENTS ONE FROM HAVING BAD DREAMS, AND MORE PRAYERS EITHER PREVENT BAD DREAMS FROM COMING TO PASS, OR ENABLE GOOD DREAMS COME TRUE.
I BELIEVE THE HUMAN BRAIN AND FEELINGS ARE BEHIND ALL DREAMS, AND DREAMS ARE NOT REALITY.
Here's what the Bible says concerning dreams irregardless of whatever any ignorant group may think or practice.

Ecc 5:3 For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.

So the bulk of dreams are really meaningless and to be taken lightly. But we do not rule out the FACT that the spirit realm do communicate through dreams. The spirit realm meaning both devil and God as they are both spirit. So many dreams come from the devil, some from God, much from your imagination.

i dont know the drill. You can share with us what you mean. I am very sure many others are as lost as i am here.

Your pastors are not as jobless as phychics? You mean your pastors are actually making better use of their time than phychics? Lol. This is comedy at it's best. They are busy speaking in tongues right? Or doing what exactly?
It's unfortunate for you then if you don't know the drill. It shows you'd make a poor student. After all your years as a mini school pastor, you should know that people prefer private after service 'counsel'. What folks would not confess or discuss openly, they'll discuss freely in private. I'm sure you're aware of that but you choose to have amnesia.
My pastors are busy with spiritual work blessing lives, not manipulating lives like your models.

lol. Smh this thread is to demystify dream interpretations. To help people realize dreams are a function of their fears, expectations and memories. I am not here to provide psychic services. I am not one of your pastors. There are no spiritually gifted people, only frauds and that is the essence of this thread. Keep waiting for me to ask people for money like your church leaders.
I'm not waiting for you to ask people for money, i hope you're not that foolish. Like i said, you know the drill. The path is for them to see you in camera for the real deal. My pastors don't go about providing psychic services, they're not that jobless.

Morality was necessary for societal security and continuation.

Thus morality is not only valuable but useful from the human and societal perspective and derives meaning from societal definition.
It has not seemed to work. More people die today than before. Societies and cultures are struggling to continue. Physical security still remains a mirage. Though like i have earlier said, it indeed brings some law and order.

This part would have to assume the eventuality of eternity and then insert the necessity of moral values into it. You may like to expatiate on this and demonstrate the importance, use and value of morality in eternity
Seeing that we both assume as regards eternity, it would be good if we considered the eventualities. If there is no eternity like you assume, then there is no discussion. If there is eternity like i assume, then we would have to consider the One who lives in eternity and what/who He wants. Our morality here in time would have to correspond to His, else a sad eternity.

Yes please, I would really love to see his meaning of spirituality and morality.
Morality has to do with what is right or wrong, good or bad. Like someone says colour white is good and colour red is bad, or you should not kill sick animals, or you should not take what belongs to the government official.
Spirituality has to do with the spirit. Ultimately, it has to do with God. God Himself being a Spirit.
1Co 2:13  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1Co 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

It is very disturbing and amazing, to say the least, that you think like this. Like biologically fascinating
Big grammar.

LucemFerre:
How is that funny?
By making me laugh, how else?

That's divine command theory, not morality. One is not moral simply because one follows some rules that make one appear as such. Think about it.
As i said, morality is subjective. Even you are showing here that it is. Think carefully.

What is the difference between spirituality and morality?
True spirituality connects to God through the spirit. As for morality, anybody can be moral, even a dog.

johnydon22:
Does morality serve any purpose in a society that is independent of spirituality?
Surely it does. Such a society's version of good and bad, right and wrong(morality) would bring some semblance of order. But it will continue to change and 'improve' depending on the set of people that make rules. Ultimately, it is useless. Wow, i see. When i say ultimately, i speak in terms of eternity, life beyond life. As you don't believe that, you'd probably struggle with my pov.
