stephenduru: Comfort is a student of Jaiyee University Ghana, she is in her 3rd semester. She lost her mum while father merchants in alcohol.
When The Oracle of God called her out by prophecy, it was greeted with so much salutations as she is widely known. She is a fervent christian and devoted member of the OFM Ghana headquarter church in Accra.
All these were and 'maybe' known by her friends and fellow members, except for the next few issues.
Sometime ago as revealed by God she gave 1000 Ghana cedis to the church as a seed which was supposed to be her house rent resulting in her sleeping inside the church for months.
This gladdened the heart of the Man of God who declared that her time has come to Comfort.Comfort could not hold her tears hearing her secret pains being openly spoken about by the Prophet of God.
The servant of God in his usual self announced to help her settle all her fees as tuition and accommodation which summed up in thousands of Ghana cedis.
At the end, the Man of God gave her 2,000 US dollars through his wife, Dr. Lizzy Johnson Suleman.

randomperson: It's not my fault that your bible is so ridden with contradictions that it's credibility is zero. I simply quoted bible verses for you verbatim. If they are inconsistent with other bible verses, it's your bible's fault and the holy spirit who inspired it... Another reason, Christianity is a scam Your rant/argument is unreasonable. You are the one seeing contradiction simply because you don't understand the Bible. Those of us that understand have no problem and see no contradiction. Your God-given commonsense should tell you that is never the meaning as the same Moses immediately went on to ask to see God and was denied. Believe what you want to, it adds and takes nothing away, you remain the grunting, grumbling loser, not me, never God. |

randomperson: Really that's your argument. That's arguing from ignorance now... Statistics is a straight forward concept... Bring two different countries, one dominated by Christians other nonreligious. If Jesus truly heals many of his followers, then logically, people should die less frequently in the country dominated by Christians... It's straight forward It's not an argument, it's simply what you refuse and hope never to consider. There's no such thing as a statistic for number of Christians. Christianity is not just religion, neither are religious people necessarily christian. What is straight forward is that sickness is not the only cause of death, so how reasonable is it to zero one's mind to such assumption? |

randomperson: "For my EYES HAVE SEEN the king." "I have seen God FACE TO FACE" How are these not physical... Abeg, u people can't even decide on what you want your god to be i guess you want Him to be. Well, even Seun the atheist doesn't like to be seen even though he's visible. It takes nothing away from his achievements, plus he has the right. God is a Spirit. The Bible is one, and clearly states that no man has seen God. How this has become the core issue for discussion shows how fickle minded you are and that you really have nothing relevant to say but argue. The same Moses passage for instance made it clear that Moses never saw God physically face to face. Moses asked to and God declined. Only the gullible choose what they want to believe to create controversy that simply isn't there. All you need is to truly read and be logical/rational. |

Genesis 32:30 Verse Concepts So Jacob named the place Peniel, for he said, "I have seen God face to face, yet my life has been preserved."
◄ Exodus 33:11 ► Verse (Click for Chapter) New International Version The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent.
You were saying? i was saying that no man has seen God physically in the sense of describing the colour, complexion, ear size etc. i also referred to personally meeting God. It means definitely, God is a Spirit. To break it though it would fly over your head as usual, one can see waste, fear, love, joy, happiness and other abstracts. |

randomperson: Are you just feigning ignorance or is this for real?? Sickness and injuries are part of the major causes of death. If God heals many people of sickness and injuries, then deaths will decrease, right? So if a country has many Christians who are healed by Jesus then logically there should be a marginal reduction in the rate of deaths, thereby reducing mortality rate as compared to countries without Christians.. Get it now?? No, a 17% mortality rate may have been 20%. Get it now? There's a lot of fallacy, presumption and wrong thought in your post that further detract and rambled from the discussion. Nonetheless, the first line of this reply should be eureka for you. |

BUT the first time I had a gun pointed at my face past 12am, I was scared, somehow I knew I won't die cos I was ready to corporate to the fullest, so that eased my fear. Many christian live in fear, FACT and I am sure you know it. Some christians are not scared of death and so are some atheists, so what is your point? randomperson: Are you kidding me? The bible says by his stripes, you are healed .. You also claim that many Christians get healed... In what world wouldn't that reflect on mortality rate... If more people get healed then logically there will be a lower mortality rate... Are you sure you know the meaning of mortality rate? Perhaps you are mixing up the meaning. Mortality/Death rates is different from being healed. Healed people also die, duh. And not all death are as a result of sickness, that's by the way. Mortality rates is judged by annual number of deaths per a selected number of persons. Be logical please. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Medical Doctors, Atheism and Daily Evidence of Failed Prayers. by Image123(m): 11:23pm On Mar 16, 2017 |
randomperson: You're not addressing the issue, this is logic and common sense... You say many Christians get healed even today, then logically countries with many Christians should have lower mortality rates than those with insignificant numbers of Christians... Why is the opposite the case You again failed to state what was untrue but would rather jump helter skelter. The issue is that Jesus never promised lower mortality rates, so why do you think it's logical for Christians to have what they were not promised? |

randomperson: Lolz people testify... On TV, abi? If truly Jesus heals then there's should be less sickness among Christians than others. In fact, Christian-dominated countries should have the lowest mortality rate but alas! The countries with the lowest mortality rates are non- religious. Can you explain that? You failed to state what exactly was untrue in the other post. The attitude of jumping and changing goal posts will not help you, know what you need and be sure. Jesus doesn't promise less sickness or problems than others. On the contrary, He says we will have tribulation, and that the next world to come is our inheritance. Having low mortality rates do have a thing to do with obeying biblical principles of health. You don't need to be Christian to do that, neither does it take you to heaven or hell. |

HardMirror: Ok, so I was in a public place sometime last week and we were watching a movie on African Magic. In the movie, some occult men were using their powers to kill their victims and everyone watching the movie were mumbling prayers such as.
"Blood of Jesus cover me"
"This is how they finish people who don't have Jesus"
"This powers dey o!"
It even turned to an arguement on how potent such powers are. So I asked them,
"Would you choose I attack you with a spiritual power or use a gun to finish you off"
100% of people there chose to be attacked with spiritual powers. And we all laughed.
Now what would you choose and why?
Are african voodoo as potent as people claim?
Is God's protection so sure? Why trust God to deliver you from spiritual attack but can't trust God to deliver you from a Gun shot Duh, God saves from the two. Most people believe what they can see, or are moved easily by what they can see. Hence, they'd shiver at a gun. For me, none moves me, same thing the Bible Christians and characters. It's another thing if the choice is between God and a gun. I'd rather anything attack me than God attack or fight me. But for gods, forget them already. Abi i should attack them instead. |

There are people who routinely go to hospital to pray for the patients... Despite that fact, your god no show What exactly is untrue? I never said all Christians but many, spot the difference between. Different kinds of people still get healing and answers to prayers today, no difference. People testify about miraculous healing every week all over the world, don't be locally myopic. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Medical Doctors, Atheism and Daily Evidence of Failed Prayers. by Image123(m): 12:52pm On Mar 16, 2017 |
randomperson: Actually many of the people that Jesus healed didn't ask for it. Lazarus's sister already accepted that he had died, the man in with the withered hand in the temple, the woman with arthritis, the guy that was at the pool side for 38 years didn't ask for it. Now we have Christians who are asking with tears and desperation and god is looking away and just stroking his beard, and you say it's the people that it's the problem. In fact, during Jesus'time, only the people that heard of Jesus could ask him for anything, these days, billions of people around the world ask him for something every minute still he doesn't answer. Many people also get healing and answers to prayers today without asking for it or deserving it. It is not news. People in the new testament also did not have their requests granted how they wanted it, nothing new or out of place. It adds and removes zilch. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Medical Doctors, Atheism and Daily Evidence of Failed Prayers. by Image123(m): 10:41am On Mar 16, 2017 |
randomperson: How many people did Jesus try to heal and he failed in the bible. How many? Now compare that to the number of sick Christians that God fails to heal... Do you see a discrepancy? Jesus is God and He confessed to work the same way His Father works. If there's a discrepancy, it is with the people doing the asking. Even Jesus Christ didn't work miracles for 30years, which is over 90% of His life on earth physically. |
