Humans beings are not that way. Human beings have spirit, soul and body(i'm salivating at how yáll are going to start gnashing teeth about these like that's all you saw) . Human beings have a will, they are free moral agents. In simple words, they have ability to choose and decide in peculiar ways that no other creatures ON EARTH can. These billions are not 'endangered species', the point was clear. What is useless to you can be useful to another. It is not what happens to you but your reaction to what happens to you, as they say. Not holding brief for customs but the revenue target was obviously not achieved because of banned items. All the revenue that would have been made on rice import, car through land borders and other imports were not achieved. The customs shot themselves in the foot because they only confiscated those items or pocketed bribes into private pockets. They can't declare money collected from banned goods, hence more corruption. Also, revenue generation is not the accurate measurement of corruption. You can generate 1billion and not account for it's use. Another may generate 200million and put it to accountable use.

That's not a wise thing to do. Faith is not lazy. Not that they can't pray, of course they should always pray. Can pray against the spread of the fire, or for the safety of humans around. It's hardly a joke. If something as sophisticated as a car cannot make itself or come by chance, then the sophisticated universe and planets couldn't have been by chance. That is the simple point Olaa made that you all are pissing about.

When I debate with theists on this forum, most of their replies seem to implicitly suggest that trying to convince them away from their religious beliefs through tools no other that reason and honesty discuss, is sort of a waste of time, as if my tenable arguments aren't compelling enough to spur anyone to rethink their religious beliefs. I also see similar allusive responses when I read other arguments between theists and atheists.

So my reason for creating this thread isn't just to prove to both Christians and Muslims that the efforts of atheists to enlighten theists about the flaws in their belief system isn't in vain, but also to create a rare opportunity for people to testify about how they questioned and abandoned their religious beliefs just by reading compelling and persuasive arguments by people on this forum.

If anyone isn't comfortable testifying with their main monikers, probably due to fears about public perception, he or she can create another account just for this purpose. People need to know that honest dialogue and civil debate is powerful enough to change minds.

Also, if you are a guest reading this, you can easily just create a username, drop your comment and go back to being a guest.
