cadanre:This guy no get renspet sha, don't you know JeSoul is the moderator? Your account life is in her hands. Forgive him, he didn't know at all. I think some peeps need induction and orientation like nysc's before they start posting.lol @OP It is called the DOCTRINE of the Trinity, not the dogma of the trinity, and don't dare to be dogmatic about it. |
Hey Rhino, i've being looking for you all over town. You 'falsely accused' me in that thread that was locked(the thread on tudor). Se na so life be now? |
When is this thread moving to the Jokes section? One person using about 4 ids, why? Is it because there's no tax? |
A set of lazy people always resting either on the bench or the hospital. Always looking for ways to rest players and make excuses, instead of channeling the energy to win. The coach should be blamed for such plastic mentality, instead of blaming sincere players that leave or want to leave. Not everybody likes defeat/disappointment. |
Uglybetty Do you know the meaning of the phrase 'till death do us PART', or you think it's just for effizy? Death did them part, God did them part, he's not supposed to be hanging around the graveyard and sobbing on pictures, he's got the Comforter, that's one of the Comforter's jobs. If he failed you, so what? Where do you fit in this equation? He didn't fail God. Find something more important to 'STRONGLY BELIEVE' |
I know what 'dude' means, thank you. If i offend you, then you tell me instead of spitting out camels and gnats. |
^boring reply. Talk is cheap. Thank God you learnt something new today, now you know what is certain, not those pieces of alphabets you pasted above. |
Joagbaje:Can you refrain from calling me 'dude'? It offends me, coming from you Joagbaje. Now, where did you get the bolded from? I hope its in the Bible. About 'running and jumping', i was actually refering to your friend mabel, do you also run and jump and shout 'woo woo' at your pastor? Hope you've taken to correction on mr and mrs Aquila and Priscilla? |
^There is no cause for hyperventilation. One thing is certain. One sign that you don't have eternal life is if you've not believed in Jesus Christ. |
Look at this before you run Acts 15v2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome and came unto them. Acts 18v26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly. 1Corinthians 16v19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. All KJV |
mabell:Utter garbage. I expected that Joagbaje should correct this error instead of applauding it. Where did you get the bolded idea above. Paul said 'I would have you know, that the head of the woman is the man'. Learn to reduce running and jumping the church aisle and shouting 'woo woo' at the pastor, but instead listen and think. |
One sign that you don't have eternal life is if you've not believed in Jesus Christ. |
Linking up abraham's kids, hahaha.
How did he know they are gay?
After the link. |
Joagbaje, you forgot the name of the university ke? Is that a joke of a lie or what? |
There's this guy i know who works with and not for a multinational. The wonderment to me is that he works with, instead of for. The result of which is that no one pays him at the end of the month. His drive is that 'no knowledge is lost', and that he may be better opportuned in future. No one pays him because no one sent him. |
Isaiah 57v1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. |
You're talking about your answering my questions in a post where i neither asked a question nor used question mark. And you're our rhetorics and oratory 101 teacher right? Thanks for reminding me, i should be sleeping. |
Pastor AIO:Your post above, for instance the bolded are very suggestive of a dump idea. You should type more carefully. Circumcision was commanded by God and Galatians 6v15 is also the Word of God, unlike your suggestive inference. Galatians 1v1,3 |
Water baptism was commanded directly by Jesus Christ. He did it, ALL His disciples did it, every believer in the NT did it, even the dead did it, he that believeth and is baptised shall be saved, the same Jesus said hold fast what you have to the end, and one AI thinks we should dump it? |
2Peter says we look for/await new heaven and earth. That's where believers are going when they die. That's the goal/end/home, not 120 or 1200years. Who wants to be in this sorry world till 100? Heaven is a holy place, that's where i'm travelling to. Whether i get there through a plane crash or cancer, or at 170years old blessing my ggrandchildren on my bed is not the most important. The major is that i get home. I'm pleased with the way Alison Krauss puts it in song: Every step is getting brighter As the golden stairs I climb; Every burden's getting lighter, Every cloud is silver-lined. There the sun is always shining, There no tear will dim the eye; At the ending of the rainbow Where the mountains touch the sky. Tudor, if you missed Heaven, you'll cry. Whosoever believes in Jesus WILL NOT perish but have ETERNAL Life. |
Again, Philippians 1v21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. 23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better Heaven is a better option if you look at it from the believer's perspective at least. We're not of this world, a musician puts it as we don't feel at home in this world. It's in Heaven that there's no more night, crying, pain or sickness(Revelation 21v4). There's something we know that drives/propels us. You don't see it, but you can if you'll take the first step of the ladder and start climbing. We know, that knowledge is the power you don't have. 2Corinthians 5v1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. |
^if you've paid a little bit more attention in church, you might have heard of Stephen, a believer who you may say, died an untimely, gruesome death(Acts 7v57-60). The beauty is in his assurance and certainty as he died. It's a similar case that we hear of the late mrs kumuyi. She didn't die in 'agony' like some famous sinners that you,Tudor, know of. She died with a smile, singing a good song. Historians say the other disciples also suffered similar deaths apart from John the beloved. You may also hear of Tabitha Acts 9v36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. 37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. She, a believer, was SICK and died, so like someone earlier said, kumuyi or odukoya's are 'no biggie'. 2Corinthians 5v8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. James 1v2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations. John 16v33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. |
The point is that there's a bigger plan. God's ultimate plan may supercede our healing. BTW, He's Master and we're servant, He's Father we're children, He's Shepherd we're sheep. I don't know what kind of good Master, Father, Lord or Shepherd obeys every wish of His servant or child. Yes, he may be considerate and kind even generous and loving to servant but it should still be inside limit to the better plan he has as a Father or Master. And come to think of it, neither Jesus nor His followers said earth will be utopia once Jesus died, i still wonder if you cooked up that thought. Hear them for yourself. Matthew 24v12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. It is he that ENDURES not ENJOYS that will be saved. 2Timothy 3v12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. It wasn't news that things were going to degenerate, it's surprising that people still paste it as news on threads here on nl. |
Forgive me, i'm on a mobilephone so may not be able to put down all expressions. 2nd thought on the 120yrs is that there was 120yrs left for God to punish mankind with a flood. i.e Noah's flood happened about 120yrs after genesis 6v3. Any of this 2schools of thought fit in, and none of them suggests that God promised christians 120years on earth. So, now to christian's sickness. H'll say emphatically that the Bible doesn't say that Jesus died to make earth Heaven for christians, no. Jesus died to make us ready for Heaven. He gave Himself to PRESENT a glorious church without spot/stain. His primary purpose was to save His people from sin, to ENABLE them serve in holiness and righteousness all the days of their life(Matthew 1v21, Luke 1v74,75). Every other thing na jara. You can be sick, poor, illiterate and get to Heaven but you can't have sin and get to Heaven. The others are bonuses we may, or may not all get. Yes, healing is the children's bread, but really, man doesn't live by bread alone. Some things are just greater than bread. It's a pity that so many are driven by bread and seek to make JeSus king just because of bread. But in fact, if He heals fine, if He doesn't, thank God. Yet He does heal, and i'm a living testimony. |
On 120years and whatnot, there're two school of thoughts that interprete the genesis 6v3 you quoted. They may both be correct though, the Word sometimes gives that duality in meaning. The 1st like you hinted is that man will now average 120years. Note the word AVERAGE that i used. Writing/Speaking/Language is more than just syntax, it involves communication. For example, we often refer to the english as 'white men'. You do understand that they're not exactly white in the sense of colour 'white'. It'll be tragic of you to accuse others of drunkiness, carelessness or ignorance for calling them white. When you consider the context of the said 120yrs in scriptures, you'll note that He's not saying all men will live 120years, no more no less. It's after this passage that many like Noah, his sons, Abraham and Isaac outlived 120yrs, and some below 120. It's communication and understanding that tells you that God's no more giving man the freedom of 800s and 900s. The 120 or 70 aren't fixed numbers but averages. Even today's statistics show widely varying life expectancy from country to country and even gender-wise. |
hahaaahahaahahahah. . . . Confused lot. I thought jesus wasn't a 'man'?? I thought he "died a frightful, shocking and gruesome death" so that YOU wouldn't "died (die) a frightful, shocking and gruesome death" ?? Are you not supposed to be "healed" by the "(died a) frightful, shocking and gruesome death"??You guys should tell your god to get his story straight lol Btw, check out Genesis 6;3The spirit of the LORD must have been drunk when it said this not so? 120 years indeed. Mrs kumuyi and bimbo will agree with me. Check out Psalm 90hmmm. . . It seems the 'creator' is a confused illiterate palmie drinker wey no sabi maths and talks with both sides of its mouth. . . . 120, 70 and 80 are they same? Yea, I guess 'among other things' includes avoid at all cost being roasted alive thanks to the incompetence and crass stupidity of Jehovah jireh.
Lest i forget, had it in mind to reply this earlier but haven't found the time, even till now. Seems its a lose lose situation with you already as regards divine healing. It's like if one claims no healing you're angry just like now. If one claims healing you'll say na lie, no proof. If proof is produced, it is that they are all deluded and i'm correct. I recall you had such views when people claimed that your chancellor's wife was healed of cancer. Anyway, my main focus is on your 120 talk and on christian's sickness. |
What a silly question, busybodic. |
Jenwitemi:Trust me, you wouldn't understand it. Let's focus on what you may need instead. |
OLAADEGBU:Nope i haven't, though someone said she'd send it to me sha. |
God is the everlasting God with the everlasting love. He says "I have loved you with an everlasting love". God so loved us that He gave. It is an eternal commitment. He wants us to have eternal life, His life. What can we do in response to this love? We should strive not to break it. Have you ever heard of haters or enemies having heartbreaks? No! It is lovers. It's the same way, even more, that we sometimes grieve God. If you've ever suffered a heart break or seen someone do, you'll be most careful with your relationship with God for we are created in His image. From now onwards, let us respond with our love, our life, for His amazing love demands/deserves our ALL. Not just our inside or heart but everything (spirit, soul and BODY). |
