The man is a gratuitously mendacious oaf . His only value,if any, is comedic. |
The North would be happy to humilate Soludo because he was ruthless and anti-north in the last February currency change. Whether he was used by OBJ or he had his own agenda in using his office to remove the arabic inscription from the currency, he was clearly motivated by partisan religious considerations in his decision. For this reason, and for wasting scarce monetary resources in frivolous currency change, he deserve no pity and nobody should shed crocordile tears for him.Hardly surprising that the handmaids of the Arabs view Soludo's opposition to the inclusion of Arab inscriptions as a cardinal offence |
Tornadoz:Ok,Tornadoz, feel free to feed us your nauseating pablum |
k9ine:I thought Shamsudeen Usman holds a PHD in economics from the LSE,University of London? ![]() |
Mamajama:Its money earned through criminal activities that needs laundering. |
Mamajama:That is negligible in the context of your entire assets.I was responding to the impression he created that 40% of your money will be gone as taxable income. |
Its probably men dressed in "monkey outfit" ![]() |
Seun:Tax is on income and not wealth. If you simply withdraw money from Nigeria and bank it in the West, you won't pay such tax.If you were working,on the other hand, any money you earn(income) will be taxed. The idea of taking your money abroad is that it is safer and inflation is much lower here(single digit inflation).Human beings are essentially self-interested.People,firstly, do what they think is good for themselves not what they think is good for the country. That its not in Nigeria's interest to bank abroad won't stop people from doing so if they think its in their best interest. The real challenge is to create a stable economic environment where people can feel confident to invest their assets. |
Presumably, the Team deals with the Nigerian economy as a whole, hence, the Finance Minister should also be excused, since that will amount to him being a judge in his own case. The problem is not whether he retains his independence but the utility of having the person in charge of monetary policy,in such a body.We don't know the full remit of the Team but I presume, from its name and members, that the nature of its function is advisory and deliberative in respect of the economy. That demands the prescence of the head of the CBN |
A government's economic policy rests on 2 pillars-Monetary and fiscal policy.Soludo happens to be directly responsible for monetary policy and common sense demands that he be in such a "National Economic Team". |
The guy fit be "shit packer" for the world's biggest consulting firm ![]() |
Seun:You will be surprised that such ideas have credence amongst "educated" people. The lessons of history are never learnt. |
ebos:I don finish with am.See how long it took her to admit that she doesn't know the answer to one question. They fail to understand that the English Bible is a translation of a translation of a language.A Church that existed for 2 millenia-when there was no English Bible- will have a different perspective to a Church that was started recently. |
I don't know.
Exactly! It was crystal clear to me that you don't know and that was why I made that point about your lack of knowledge Enough said. That is all I wanted you to admit-That you don't know Not knowing didn't stop you from arguing ![]() |
Since they are NOT His brethren/siblings, please show us WHY, and also tell us the meaning of the word "brethren" as used in that context! ![]() - - - Edited: You could as well tell us the meaning of "His mother" in that verse has another meaning - since you intone that "brethren" mean something else.
What does the Igbo term "nwanne" mean in English and how do you translate it?- Siblings?Relatives? The language spoken then was Aramaic-which uses "brother" like the Igbos would say "nwanne" without clearly delineating what type of relationship exists because there is no Aramaic term for cousins or step-brothers.e.t.c The NT was written in Greek but the Greek term for "brother" like the Igbo term or the Aramaic term doesn't neccesarily translate to siblings So only adherents of "new Churches" would take for granted "brother" or "brethren" as cast iron certainities of the type of relationships that exists. The confidence a lack of . . . . PS:When will you answer my question? |
I've discussed this issue of the Papacy before; and my position is that it simply is NOT in the Bible. The Catholic Church has to tell us WHERE they copped it out from if actually it is in the Bible. Do you care to let us know? If there's something that you don't agree with after visiting that link, please bring it forward or refer to - and let's talk about it. Thank you.
We know your position, but the question I asked yesterday wasn't-Whether you think the Papacy is in the Bible-but where/how the Catholic Church emerged from? The link addresses the first question-which no one asked you- but fails to address the second question-which I asked. I asked a simple question: 1What is The origin of Catholicism? Your answer was: 2Where is the Papacy in the Bible? How does No2 answer No1 ? ![]() |
Matt. 13:55So Brethren or brothers literally and solely translates into siblings.I suppose the Bible was first written in the English Language. The confidence a lack. . . . ![]() |
A simple question - you will find the answer in the PAPACY - how did that emerge?
Ok,the answer is in the Papacy. So tell me how the Papacy emerged because I obviously don't know. |
ebos:I asked her the question 2 days ago.Instead of answering, she asked me where the Papacy is in the Bible.I am still waiting for her to answer the simple question. It feels like engaging in a debate with Muslims. |
@pilgrim.1 You post with the confidence a lack of knowledge brings. The Othordox Churches do not deny the Catholic's claims and vice versa. The Othordox Churches are the only Churches recognised by Catholicism. They too engage in what you may call "Mary worshipping" . It still leaves unanswered the question I asked 2 days ago-How did the Catholic Church emerge?A simple question. |
The sooner they get rid of McLaren, the better. He is tactically naive and incapable of inspiring the players. They made a massive error in overlooking Sam Allardyce and they are praying the price |
Ya gbigibi ,ya ko korokoro I dey in the Holy Spirit, see as I dey speak in tongues! ![]() |
2 days and counting,and Pilgrim 1 hasn't answered my initial question ![]() |
Tornadoz:If you are in favour of :pro-life,anti-gay marriage, lower tax, smaller Government, free trade and pro-business policies, you will be pro-Republican. More Republicans than Democrats voted for the Civil Rights Act.There are some contemptible members of the Republican party but it will utter foolishness to claim that the party as a whole, doesn't care about Black people |
This forum needs a mental health certification for all its users. We have some raving lunatics as members |

That Act is a gargantuan monster. The statutory codification of Director's duties was probably the most significant contribution it made to Company Law. PS:This must be the most crap thread ever stared on NL ![]() |
My persuasion: the Catholic Church is not the same thing as we read in the Bible about the early Church. Your persuasion: the early Church is the Catholic Church. My query: please show me that it is so from the Bible. your query: please show me the history of my Catholic Church! My follow-up response: okay, let's take it in bits and start with examining the Papacy system from the Bible. your follow-up response: I'm still waiting for you to show me the origin of my Catholic Church. Now, I-man. . . if you assert that the Catholic Church is in the Bible and yet cannot defend the Papacy system, what games are you introducing here?
I asserted that the Church is in the Bible? Classic straw man argument.I implied rather that this is a credible view of the Church's origin-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Roman_Catholic_Church However, you said that the Church has no links to the Early Church to which I then said-presuming you are absolutely right and this is the case-how then did this Catholic Church come into being and what happened to the "Real Church". |
I haven't read it in the Bible. If e dey there, make someone from the Catholic Church simply quote am. - - -
I'm still waiting for you to enlighten my ignorant self as to how the Catholic Church came into being and what happened in the interim period to the "Biblical Church". |
I'm sure its not the poster's picture in his profile. He just wants to invite us to make fun of an ugly man's picture |
