aisha2:What religion are you in?He asks because you are named after Mohammed's child bride Strange, like finding a Muslim named Peter |
how sad, for you missed out on bosnia(i bet that made you cry ) you also missed out on abu ghraib. but what do you know, you can still opt for guatanmo bay. take a year off school and torture 'muderous thugs' to your serpentine heart's content.I believe it is the same Bosnia and later Kosovo, that the Western world spent hundreds of billions of dollars helping.Abu Ghraib was long known as torture centre run by Saddam for decades and whose inmates were largely Shias. When your fellow Sunnis were and are still murdering Shias in the tens of thousands, you didn't see the need to complain. How many times have you seen Sunnis condemn the violence being perpetrated against Shias in Iraq and elsewhere? You also forgot to mention South Sudan were Muslims managed to kill 1 million non-Muslims. finally, you could go for the big one: take on a job in Pfizer, and finish the job they started up in northern nigeria.Talking about Northern Nigeria,I wonder who is to blame for all the religious violence in the North-Jews,Americans or Shia? |
mukina2: Imani:See as they are spreading false rumors.Let me set the facts straight.J-Girl left Debosky after she found out that Debo works as a porn actor/stripper to fund his way through Uni.Sad but true. ![]() As for Nana,I don't even know who she is. ![]() |
Your posts typify the reason why I continually refer to you as an ignorant oaf.The first quote is an example of your ignorance, the second embodies your oafish qualities. denex:Scorpions on planes are not particularly remarkable. It could be anything from lack of a good aircraft hangar to careless passengers inadvertently coming on board with a scorpion-http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_6710.aspx. And when a pilot was so inexperienced that he didn't know how to close a cockpit window, why didn't you just come down from the plane and trek to where you're going? Honestly, I do not intend this as a joke. Do not risk your life like that again. A pilot that basically knew nothing about the ABCs of a plane flew you? You no like life.I don't know what a faulty cockpit window has to do with a pilot's experience or lack of one.In this case there were two pilots. If someone was to say to you that a man couldn't travel because his car wouldn't start, does that mean that he is so inexperienced a driver that he does not know how start a car? If you have a faulty car window that won't close or open,a common thing in "Tokunbo" cars,I guess that means you are inexperienced. |
denex:You remind me of Wada Nas.Nigeria is Janna compared to the US and anybody who has had a bad experience in Nigeria must be telling a lie. |
@Muki Welcome back o!No be me dey post for una thread,na my friend wey dey log in with my username. |
KnowAll:No be how to evaluate stocks o! |
Na extreme travelling If you use Nigerian Airports regularly, you won't have time to mock American Airports. |
BABEELOVE:I don see scorpion inside a plane before, the defunct Capital Airlines .Who can forget my former favorite airline-Sosoliso?They had planes from the old Yugoslavia. |
@BABEELOVE Don't mind Poor-poor.His vulgarity is symptomatic of the "tout" culture that plagues Nigeria at the moment. An uncivilised mind is as an uncivilsed mind does. |
@Poor-Poor Don't worry,I will send you a visa soon to calm your frustrations ![]() |
Our flight was grounded at Enugu Airport for 6 hours because they(Aero-Contractors) didn't know how to close the cock pit window,I didn't see the need to start a thread. While the plane was stuck on the runway,no other plane could land. This didn't make the news beacause its a normal thing.Denex disdain for the US is symptomatic of Visa Rejection Syndrome ![]() |
oyb:If everyone strives to arrive early there would still be people who arrive early but don't get into the front row.How does being in the fronto row make your a better person? The front row should be reserved for the elderly, physically impaired and those with hearing difficulties not for young men who happen to arrive early. |
aisha2:Most of who have valid visas? Most Nigerian based Nairalanders? Who do you expect to believe this meaningless twaddle? It is unfair for some Nigerians living outside to continue hammering their country on its negativity yet not taking any positive action. Living outside Nigeria does not make you better than Nigerians living at home.According to the CBN,remittances last year amounted to $4billion.That is the biggest source of foreign exchange outside of oil.I agree, living outside doesn't make you better but neither does living inside Nigeria. Not all Nigerians living in Nigeria are dying to travel abroab, things are gradually looking up here, so lets try to celebrate the good along with the bad, no one is against critism but not bashing Nigeria even when it is a positve step some Nigerians abroad will still find a way of making it a negative step. Nigeria belongs to all of us, it will not serve any purpose to any class of Nigerians if Nigeria as a Nation fails so let us try to work positively to see how to make things better.I suppose there is a greater appreciation of Nigeria's failings when you travel or reside abroad. If you have never lived outside, you have little basis to do a comparative analysis. Am sure some people will find something in my post to badmouth even after i have tried to make it as objective as possible.People are entitled to refer to drivel as drivel and your posts constitute utter drivel. |
omoge:Its obvious he is not in the US. |
PTH:You forget to mention handkerchief! I just love seeing them have to re-interprete their religion in the face of contemporary attitudes, especially with regards to gender equality. Having just witnessed the famous "4:34 dance",I would like to see another dance performed with "2:223". ![]() |
My lessons continue Having learnt that Sura 4:34 proposes that one of the ways to end marital disputes is to symbolically tap the woman with a chewing stick,I want further education on other verses in the Koran ![]() 002.223 YUSUFALI: Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will; but do some good act for your souls beforehand; and fear Allah. And know that ye are to meet Him (in the Hereafter), and give (these) good tidings to those who believe. PICKTHAL: Your women are a tilth for you (to cultivate) so go to your tilth as ye will, and send (good deeds) before you for your souls, and fear Allah, and know that ye will (one day) meet Him. Give glad tidings to believers, (O Muhammad). SHAKIR: Your wives are a tilth for you, so go into your tilth when you like, and do good beforehand for yourselves, and be careful (of your duty) to Allah, and know that you will meet Him, and give good news to the believers. So what does the above mean. |
If you do the maths, you will realise that Bernie can easily acquire a majority stake in the club |
I wonder what Gunners make of the alleged Ecclestone take over interest in the Gunners.Apparently,he is good friend s with Dein. The worst part is that he is an avid Chelsea fan How sweet,Gunners could be run by a fervent Chelsea fan. Also,Stanley Fizsman has indicated interest in selling his 24% stake in the Gunners. With Dein holding 14% and Kroneke holding 12%,a takeover will not meet much opposition . http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premiership/arsenal/article2237777.ece |
Rudy Guiliani!Excellent track record and impeccable credentials. |
@Nana I was looking for my own WAEC result and while searching for it in your profile, couldn't help but notice how cute you are. ![]() |
debosky:Malouda didn't look outstanding in the Champions League. The CL gets tough at the knock out stages but Lyon rarely survived long enough at that stage to be adjudged as competing at "the highest level". Malouda performed well at the last World Cup but so did Hong Myung Bo at USA 94 and I wouldn't have recommended him for Udorji Utd. Robben will be a great loss and Chelski will find that Malouda is anything but an adequate replacement. |
Jackal:Veron was not a flop but he was also not a success. He started his first season well, scoring 4 goals in the first 2 months, but he deteriorated as the season progressed. He performed better the next season, that was when he scored against Arse-anal,but he was injury plagued for most of that season. In the few games he played,he was generally outstanding. However, overall,he didn't live up to the promise he showed in some of the early games in the first season(remember the 5-3 victory over Spurs). That is where the analogy to Nani comes in.Early promise is no guarantee of success. |
Cool down folks,it was only Glentoran.A good performance against Glentoran is not neccessarily a harbinger of great things to come.Let's wait till the real football starts. I remember that the likes of Kleberson,Veron and Djemba Djemba looked fantastic in their early performances,we all know what happened after. |
RIYADH, 6 August 2007 — A new convert to Islam, fired with zeal to do a righteous act, had no idea that he would pay a heavy price for helping a sick woman, one that has landed him 50 days and counting behind bars. The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice found him guilty for committing a crime: Being in the presence of a woman who is not a relative (a so-called “illegal state of seclusion”). Arab News tried several times to contact Ahmed Al-Jardan, spokesman for the commission, but phone calls were not returned. A written fax sent to the commission’s main center asking for comment was also ignored. Ibrahim Muhammad Lawal, a Nigerian student of Islamic studies at Badiya Islamic Center in Riyadh, learned that his neighbor, a 63-year-old woman, was indisposed and needed medical attention. So he took her to various hospitals in Riyadh, including the Riyadh Medical Complex at Shumaisy, all of which refused to treat her. It was only after the intervention of Sheikh Fawaz, director of Badiya Islamic Center, that the Badiya Hospital admitted the case. Despite the charitable act Muhammad ended up in detention, accused of immoral behavior because he was neither married nor related by blood to the elderly woman. http://www.arabnews.com/?page=1§ion=0&article=99378&d=6&m=8&y=2007 |
Thanks for your considered response. So Islam recommends that one of the ways to resolve marital disputes is to tap your wife with a "chewing stick". I still think there is an obvious difference between "beat (lightly)" and "a light tap that leaves no mark" .'To beat' is not to the same as 'to tap'.While calling the attention of someone,we may tap them on the shoulder,we do not beat them, even if lightly. |
Loyika trying to score with a 67 year old? That is what they call a motherfcuker! debosky:Nelson Mandela was an ex-con.Go figure.Jack went behind the slammer for his activism.Show some respect. |
Seabreez15:Thanks for the response.Given that the passage fails to mention handkerchief or any other instrument, how does that interpretation arise? |
loyika:Another thing you can say is the Gunners will not be involved in the title race.Apparently, only Vagina Gunners(female team) compete for trophies these days. I think Chelsea are favourites to win the League.Utd will suffer from discontent due to player rotation and a lack of settled formation.Just like the coming of Veron disrupted the team's formation, the new signings will disrupt this team. |
Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS) is a political term coined by the American conservative[1] political columnist Charles Krauthammer, a Harvard-trained former psychiatrist, in a 2003 column.[2] It refers to a purported tendency by some to blame President George W. Bush for matters for which he is not responsible |
Now that a lot of people know Bush is against this measure,I fully expect them to suddenly declare their support for it.Afterall,if Bush is against it,it must be good. |
@Denex I didn't say you made that error but that many did.Just go through the thread, starting with the very first post.I was explaining to you why I am irritable. Nobody reading through the thread's posts, including yours, would have realised that Bush was against the bill.So the vituperations should be addressed to the Democrats who support the measure not to Bush who is against it.Simple! |

Or is it the pot holes like coal mines sucking up wings and tires of the Nigerian "molues" in the air, as they attempt to land on more cows
