Designer123: So Nigerians have been brainwashed to this extent. You are even asking if you've sinned. May God deliver you.
Donate that money to a hospital or buy hand sanitizers for your poor neighbours. This is more Godly. Three kinds of people you can never advise. 1.Those in love 2. Those with money 3. Those that don't research The guy falls in the last category hence your brilliant idea won't make meaning to him. Christianity starts and ends with love. |

EVILFOREST: This one na GOVERNOR too. Abeg which time MADNESS become a prerequisite for elective positions..? It is a challenge indeed. I took my time seeing all the comments on page 1. Not even one person supported his display of foolishness & his uselessness as a so called governor. The question is how do they get in if not rigging? And vote buying same reason they work very hard to keep the people poor, so they can always buy their future. |

crackkhaus: If not for the fact that these pastors, reverends, and priests love to see themselves as authorities, what stops your priest from joining you and your intended in the presence of only parents and siblings?
This could be done in the church still, or in an open space.
A large gathering of so-called faithfuls/believers serves no purpose beyond fanfare. Sensible comment. But I am yet to read a portion of the Bible where Jesus presided over weddings or instructed the disciples or apostle to join couples. The Bible did mentioned dowry which is already the seal of marriage. Abi pastors wan collect pride prize? Secondly, I am yet to see where church conduct the Kangaroo wedding or England traditional marriage when pride prize hasn't be paid. |

Various types of fraud will continue to happen and even increase until there is a government in Nigeria who prioritises the general welfare of her citizen which will automatically lead to crime drop. Before then, victims of Cyber crime, religious fraud, etc will keep increasing. |

dionma: Covid 19 that is about two months in Nigeria is the reason salary cannot be paid. All these states that are not viable. Dissolve the state and merge with other States. That is the truth most states created were out of greed to gain more allocations from the federal and increase several chances to the regions. This is even the reason many don't want true federalism as they will useless. |

This issue might be away of redefining their mindset that not all sector should be looted. |

Tripitaka: One would never understand how stupid and out-of-touch nairaland is until they post certain questions.
OP, mine may not be a popular opinion, but you are within your rights to have an abortion if that's what you want and feel is best for you. You wear the shoe, so you certainly know if it fits or not, so don't be cajoled by the hypocrisy of Nigerians. If you want an abortion, talk to your sister or parents about having it, as no one, even the guy has the right to tell you what to do with your body. But You must also not pin parental responsibility on the guy for a kid he didn't consent to having. You have done nothing wrong by having sex, but you have done everything wrong by having unprotected sex knowing fully well the possible consequences - a consequence that you are unprepared for.
Virtually everyone here castigating you will not let their teenage daughter or sister keep a pregnancy out of wedlock, if the decision was theirs to make. A study by PMA2020.org stated that an average of 3million abortions takes place in Nigeria annually. Yes, the same Nigeria where a probable 97% of Nairalanders hail from.
You must know that the decision to keep or abort that pregnancy is a life changing one - either positive or disastrous - a decision that you would live with for the rest of your life. You must also know that abortions pose a threat to life, especially when not done by professionals.
What do I think you should do? Talk to your sister now! Tell her you're sorry but let her know that you do not wish to keep the pregnancy. Going forward, please use a condom. Your points appear hash but with several underlining facts. Social media is buttered with edited lives where many pretend & presenting selves as a saint when ditching opinions. The lady knows what to do, she is only seeking the best ways to accomplish that & perhaps some little confidence to implementing it. A day like this would have somehow be envisaged when they decided to swim completely unclad & frequently since they live together. Nigerians are what they are with so much preferences to religion but in the true sense far from what religion truly represents in practice. |

The outcome shouldn't be surprising, the house was obviously having two couples living therein, one official & one non official. Jokes apart. Just open up to your sister. She will in turn tell her husband. And you guys will certainly face the real music of life but years from now all will be fine. The guy maybe using Sure Men Herbal Tea that was why he was always ditching you no stop. For nature solution to quick release, weak attention, etc. CLICK HERE |

Why not cut the cost of running this govt and divert the savings into the said audio infrastructure, instead of tampering with the fund meant for the poor old pensioners ?
Good morning a few good Nigerians. Word of advice, if you don't want to lose your sanity because of the insane thievery in govt and bastardization and raping of the country relocate and start a family somewhere else, because the way things look, Nigeria is irredeemable . This is already the option as it stands to many. The politicians are ready to sell the lands of if there is nothing left to loot. |

logon599: There are lessons in his song "the gambler" that I find important to this day, even though I don't gamble but those lessons can be applied to life.
Like this line- "So for a taste of your whiskey, I'll give you some advice"
Lesson 1: Don't desire something valuable if you're not willing to give something valuable in exchange for it.
There are several others I can't go into. Song is filled with lessons:
"You've got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em Know when to walk away And know when to run You never count your money When you're sitting at the table There'll be time enough for counting When the deal is done
Every gambler knows That the secret to surviving Is knowing what to throw away And knowing what to keep Cause every hand's a winner And every hand's a loser"
RIP Kenny Rogers Hmm! He and others were & will continue to remain my favourite. Sad life has faded from them one after another though their art live forever. Respect to Don Williams and now Kenny Roger. |

My concern still goes to the way president Buhari is handling the matter. He didn't even come to the media except once. He keeps speaking through garba shehu and oshiomohle. Who knows if garba shehu was the one who sent himself and baba didn't seem to be aware if it. World presidents allay fears by coming on air to address their people on a regular basis . This isn't good enough as a leader. The question is can one give what he doesn't have or be what it isn't. We are sometimes quick to mix leaders with boss? |

And going by that the fund will be shared starting from the person that approved to the person it was awarded down to the contractor that will recontract and the host politicians in community, etc. At the end only 5% will be visible for the work. So 50 years to come the road will still be under construction. |
