harley4: Hello everyone, please I need your assistance. Age 29 Qualification: M.Sc. Chemistry (Biochemistry) B.Sc. Biochemistry Married with 2 kids I’ve intension to further my career in Canada. Please can someone advise me on the cheapest university which I can apply for Ph.D., preferably in Ontario and other general ideas on how to start the process. I will really appreciate your response.
As advised by the guru to go for express entry, i have intention to relocate to Canada but my challenge is this, i studied biochemistry but presently working for telecommunication company in Nigeria as customer service representative for more than 3 years.
My question is this, how can i get point on JOB EXPRIENCE? Just like @lentomac said, maximize the time left before you clock 30 on Express Entry requirements. The recent trend of scores have been very favourable for Masters holders (460's and 470's). Your work experience does not have to match your course of study to get points for it. Use the CRS calculator to simulate your score, research all that is required to get into the pool, verify the NOC of your work experience (0, A or B) and pursue the express entry route. Also you'll need less proof of funds. There is a thread on it here on nairaland (filled with rich information and experiences). I think you should you should give preference to the express entry path (FSW) |

awesomeme: [Thank you again. I just uploaded mycertificate on wes and requested for itranscript on UNN portal..I used TNT as means of delivery with 36050 charge. Yet to pay . Please trying to manage my funds now which do you think i should pay for first to avoid delay..wes is charging $230 for evaluation and my school 36050..which is urgent and necessary. Thank you sir/ma ..your replies are helpful..advise me,correct me and direct me ..i'm here to learn You will have to pay both eventually but if you have limited funds at the moment, pay your school. Most delays in evaluation with WES comes from the school (processing transcripts or responding to verification). If you pay the school now, they'll start processing your transcript. The delay will allow you some time to raise WES fees. However, if verification is required, you might have to pay WES first before they request for the verification. |

Good morning all.
Please I need clarification on how to respond to this NSE request letter. I have sufficient funds in my account for more than 6 months of study (which was requested) but I used a sponsor.
Will my personal account "mybankstatement certificate" alone suffice or must I provide same for my sponsor (since I provided Sponsor’s details in the main application)? |

OtunbaTee: Wow.. thanks..pls give me a venue... With IDP/MOD, CBT holds at Yaba, Lagos. CBT tests holds almost everyday. With British Council, there are different CBT centres in different states. Try to book a test on the website of both bodies, you'll see available dates. You don't have to complete the booking till you're ready. |

Good evening all.
To persons who have received the NSE letter, did anyone use a Sponsor and got the letter?
How does one meet the requirement of "30k CAD in your account for at least 6 months" when using a sponsor?
Will the Sponsor’s SOA suffice for this requirement or it must be the applicants account? |

Lekiboboe: Hi Rose,
Your Admission Letter is the only document to be uploaded in the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) Upload Column except if the Tuition Fee Schedule comes together with the LOA (unmerged), then it can go together.
Evidence of Admission Deposit (Tuition Deposit Receipt), Tuition Fee Schedule (if not together with ur LOA) is to be Merged with other finance related Documents and uploaded in the Proof Of Means Financial Support Upload Section
Check the Link below for a Sample of Arranged Documents Listed & Merged in their respective section

Good afternoon, everyone.
Please i need clarification on document upload. I have 3 documents to upload with respect to admission. An unconditional letter of admission, a tuition fee schedule for the 2 years of study and evidence of payment of admission deposit.
1. Should I merge and upload all 3 documents under "Letter of Acceptance"?
OR
2. Should I upload only my admission letter in the "Letter of Acceptance" section and the other 2 documents in the "Client Information" section?
I'll appreciate your kind response. |

Good day, house. Please, I need information on ECA with ICES.
A friend wants to evaluate his degree but has a date of birth discrepancy issue. The DOB on the transcript is different from the one on his passport. I know WES will stick to the DOB on the transcript and probably highlight the discrepancy, that why he is considering other options. All attempts made to correct the DOB on the transcript were not successful.
From my little research, it appears ICES gives preference to the DOB on the passport irrespective of the DOB on the transcript. Can someone confirm this information? Will the discrepancy cause additional delay to the evaluation, knowing ICES takes longer processing time? Has anyone been in this situation before? Kindly advise. |

Naijaforeigner: It is not just for accelerated programs. IRCC is unpredictable.
A friend of mine finished from UWO last year December, Chemical Engineering (1 year program) and got 3 years PGWP. Another person in the same department, applied and got 15 months PGWP. Another person got 1 year PGWP.
I have also seen someone who finished 2 years college program and IRCC gave him exact 2 years PGWP. Again, it tells you the unpredictable nature of IRCC. Although, in most cases, on the completion of 16 months/2 years program, it is almost a guaranteed 3 years PGWP.
Under normal conditions, the program completion letter and visa officer's discretion determines the length of your PGWP.
With regards to accelerated programs, my former flat mate finished from University of Windsor. His program was supposed to last for 16 months but he completed it in 12 months. On his completion letter, school stated the initial 16 months on his LOA and he got 3 years PGWP.
If you are sure the program can be extended to 16 months and it will be stated on the completion letter, then you are good to go.
If you are thinking of going for a 1 year program, please have a back up plan.
P.s for college students, if you do 1 year program, It is exact 1 year PGWP you will get. Thanks for the clarification . This will guide my plan towards getting a 2years (+) PGWP. |

Osemigho: I have only seen masters. I think IRCC has a caveat that exempt masters student in the one year PGWP rule that applies to certificate student. I think the picture below explains the situation of your friends. For example, before now, the program duration of an MEng in U of C(as seen on the website) is 2 years. However, some peeps complete the program in 1 year and still get 2 - 3 years PGWP upon graduation. This means their program was "accelerated". I need your advice on this please. One of the schools I applied to run an MEng program for 1 year (UWO - as seen on the website), though I am yet to get a decision on my application. I believe I can extend my program to 16 months (with the intention of getting a 2 years PGWP). Will the duration I spend on the program (16 months) be considered for my PGWP or the schools program duration of 1 year?

impeccablerose: Good afternoon everyone,
Thanks to those who provide guidance for newbies on this platform.
Regarding proof of funds supporting documents, i have 3 accounts. One is a salary account and the other 2 are savings accounts. I intend to move the funds in the 2 savings account into my salary account and submit the salary account statement. However, the source of the funds will definitely raise questions.
Will the statement of accounts of the two savings account be sufficient to explain the source of the transferred funds into my salary account?
Or
Do i still have to explain this in my LOE?
Note: the balance in the two savings account will be zero after the transfer. Please i need your opinion on this. Does it matter if my funds are spread in three accounts or do i move them to my salary account for a fat balance? I'll take care of my living expenses while my husband will take care of my tuition (as my co-sponsor). My own funds are spread in 3 accounts. |

Be informed. It's not a scam. It's a scheme rolled out every year. You could have just googled it. And you don't have to fill your bank details. wadasalisu: I feel like this is a SCAM. Why are they asking for my bank details? What if they used the information I fill (e.g Hometown, date of birth etc) to reset my e-banking password? Why is the website scholatica.ng not agipoil website?
