There are wipes to clean baby's gum in the market. You can use that. Wrap around your finger to clean the tongue.
That's what I use for my baby when his Paediatrician said it can build up to cause a fungal infection.

Please how do you get your bress to supply more bress milk.
One bress express just about 120ml at a time, both like 240ml combined. Making me supplement with formula for my baby.
Now that he is about 3mnths I don't know how to increase my milk supply so that my baby can take more breasmilk than formula
Am thinking pumping is the one affecting the supply.

I didn't put in any extra effort to get enough milk for my baby. I just pump often and drink a lot of water. I like to eat oatmeal too and I read that its a galactagogue.
There are times when the milk is not as much as expected (in the afternoon on most day) but I still pump every 4 to 5 hours.

Sorry mama. Motherhood is a selfless journey with which we sacrifice everything for our babies.
I am also exclusively pumping for my baby as he refused to suck directly and its not been easy. The hours spent pumping, time spent feeding the baby, constantly washing bottles and pumping parts e.t.c.
I used to pump about 6 times in 24 hours but recently reduced to 3 times in 24 hours because it was beginning to feel like pumping was my purpose in life tongue

It was tough initially because of engorged breast but wearing a bra made it less painful and using a warm towel on the breast before pumping helps get all the milk out.

Concerning the pain, most pumps have levels and one or two levels tend to be optimal for different individuals. I took time to discover 2 optimal levels that gets all the milk out without pain though I have to pump for longer sometimes. Massaging while pumping also helps to get all the milk out. I also use a nipple cream after pumping because the nipples itch like crazy.

It's great you persisted till 5 months 2 weeks despite the pain, you be strong mama.

May we all continue to enjoy the joy and blessings of motherhood.

@Layormiii, you might want to consider an electric breast pump if you want to continue to exclusively breastfeed because I can't imagine the pain you feel on your hands during and after pumping.

So sorry you went through all this. Less than this breaks some people's home, makes some depressed or lose their sanity. I don't know where you get your strength from but I think it's time to channel all that strength to yourself, your future, your kids and their future. Your husband's plans for you are not of good. His neglect, actions and pride has costed you 3 LIVES, let alone the trauma, physical and emotional effect of those.
Don't stay put, crying and keep saying you're a soft hearted / gentle person. Rather, start making plans for your future. Your husband has proven time and time again that you can't depend on him though he wants you to.
You're strong, please use that strength for yourself. PLEASE.

Just chill and see how it goes. I only said its not advisable, not impossible.
If you look at the trend of some application decisions here: one application gets rejected or withdrawn with the reason that another temporary application is being processed or approved. There are a few instances where both have been approved though like the case of one guy here a few months ago.
No two applications are the same.

SOWP, VV and Study permit are all temporary visas (same intent) so if you apply for all 3 or 2 of them at the same time, one might be withdrawn for the other. Hence its not advisable.
Express entry is for PR application (a different intent).
You can have a PR application and a temporary visa application being processed at the same time (dual intent) but not two or more temporary visa applications.

Try to add lemon or strawberries and ice to the water and see if you can tolerate it. I experienced this in my second trimester and was living on juice and Soda which made me badly constipated. My OB recommended I add lemon to cold water for some flavour. It worked for me. Till now, I am able to drink 2 - 3 litres of cold lemon water daily.

FSW requires that you show proof of funds but CEC does not. If the 1 year of Canadian work experience is in a qualifying NOC for express entry, then he/she can apply via CEC.

Thanks for your detailed responses. I'll still bring it up with my OB and hear what she has to say. They have been pushing me to get the flu vaccine too and I was told I might feel COVID vaccine reactions for like 1 or 2 days. These pregnancy symptoms are overbearing enough and i don't want any additional reactions, abeg. I had COVID vaccine in my first trimester and I practically cried from the "sick feeling" the next day. Not again.

TT injection means Tetanus shot nd u were suppose to take d first shot at 24weeks while d second shot a month after,then d next after will be 6months after d second shot, forth shot will be 6mths after d third one.. it's must sha be 5 shots nd if u were able to take all d 5shots before another pregnancy occurs u don't need to retake them but assuming you took just 2or 3 nd another pregnancy occurs u will start from scratch. If no, at what point is one supposed to get it?
My Doctor in Nigeria mentioned it twice but my OB here has not said anything about it. I intend to ask her during my next visit.

What feedback did you get from your bank?
All you need to do is to take the payment instruction to the bank and fill a foreign fund transfer form. The bank will process it. Ensure you have the sum you want to transfer in your dorm account (in the selected currency).

I think the naira equivalent option is only available for card payments (not sure). The limits on cards with Nigerian banks might not allow you pay up to a certain amount.
But if what you want to pay is tuition fee, select the bank transfer option and your currency choice (CAD or USD), then generate a payment instruction which you can take to your bank with other required documents for Form A.

I don't know of anything ne who has taken in first trimester except 3rd trimester. They had side effects even people who were not pregnant reacted to it too. Just check out youtube videos I am sure I have seen videos of some women who took it in pregnancy

A friend completed her program in 2019. No clearance, graduation or NYSC mobilisation news from the school since then. Its worrisome.

GIC is not requirement for NSE or any part of the application. People just use it to strengthen their POF since it shows your living expenses is already in Canada in form of the GIC. You'll still need to provide additional POF through your bank statement, assets e.t.c.

To everyone saying she shouldn't report to authorities, not call his supervisor or be patient, I am sure you can't tolerate 1 month of being ghosted by your partner if you were in her shoes let alone months. So when will the patience end??

@Amakaoyekachi1, its your home and your marriage. There have been lots of advice in earlier posts, put them together and outline your next steps.

If you still have that patient and want to give him some benefit of doubt, set a time LIMIT for your patience and keep trying to reach him within that timeline (through his supervisor, his school, peeps on nairaland attending same school willing to help and directly contacting him).

If your patience has gotten to its limit, like someone said earlier,gather your evidence and reach out to him to let him know you're getting authorities involved. If no response from him, let your family and his know your next line of action. Then get a lawyer and ACT.

As regards being blocked from all communication channels with him. You can create a different a different or multiple emails addresses (do same on other communication channels with him). The aim is to make sure he gets all the messages and warnings you'll send to him before you escalate the situation.

Just know that any action you take or don't take will have consequences. Think about the consequences carefully before you decide on what to do. Whatever you do, don't lose yourself or your sanity for anything.

Abuja VFS seemed to have slowed down compared to how swift they used to be, although still much better than Lagos VFS.

Abuja VFS received my passport on 27th of January. Counterfoil dropped on the 10th of February. LOI dropped on the 11th of February. Passport was delivered to me on the 12th of February.
I received a mail from them on the 27th of January confirming receipt of my passport and it being in transit to IRCC office. Another mail was sent on the 10th saying passport is in transit to Abuja from IRCC's office, then a dispatch mail on the 11th of February.

You should get your passport back in a few days if yours will follow the same timeline.

Yes, you will need to provide SOA.
GIC is just a means to show that your living expenses is secured in Canada.
You'll still need to show proof of readily accessible funds for your tuition and some other expenses (with your SOA or that of your sponsor).

You can use any bank, as long as you have the required funds in your account and a payment instruction. Its just like making a transfer to your account in another bank (in a different country).

For CIBC, fill the application details on the banks website. A payment instruction will be generated for you, take it to your bank for the transfer.
Ensure your dorm account is funded with the required amount in one of the acceptable currencies. Also, the funds must be transferred from the applicants account (not sponsor or any other person on applicants behalf).

Was the application made on a weekend or public holiday? They rarely respond on those days.

To contact them, use the green "send message" icon on the bottom right corner of their page, on weekdays between 9 a.m and 3 p.m. That is the fastest means I use to contact them. When you send a message, wait for 10 to 15 minutes (someone will reply).
