NL1960: 60,000 litres at an average of 50 litres being bought gives 1,200 vehicles. Can a filling station really sell to 1,200 vehicles a day?. If you do 6am to 9pm everyday that is 15hrs. 1,200 cars over 15hrs comes to 80 vehicles per hour. Very doable in a busy location. This does not even factor those buying into jerry cans and okadas |

akinonigbinde: your profit for a 91 day tenor of 10% on 150,000 is 15,000 paid upfront. N135,000 is deducted from your account and left with N15,000. This is your yield. At the end of 91 days, N150,000 is credited back to your account. Pure and simple N150,000 at 10% for 91 days gives you N3,739 interest without factoring applicable charges not N15,000 |

Barrytone: The essence of some people remaining in the thread is to encourage others. Mentioning amount of money involved encourages some people especially me(when the amount is greater than what I have). Now can someone tell me the hazards involved in mentioning amounts in a faceless chat group like nairaland. What can they possibly do? Would love to know. Man know thyself. Meanwhile Forbes discloses people's worth yearly and it's safe, why the general fear. I want to learn as I disclose amount at the slightest enquiry. This is a perfect example of how you can disagree with a point and state yours without resorting to abuse and insults |

1. You don't have to attend every argument you are invited to.
2. Because somebody is full of drama does not mean you have to stay and witness the performance.
Both quotes above have served me well in this life. Wish more people on this thread will adopt that attitude. |

Agbalowomeri: It is easier and less stressful to pay from salary/cashflow because nobody knows when the bull will arrive. The more reason a high dividend yield stock is better to offset some of the 'cashcrunch' I think that's the idea i think. Offset the loan with your salary or other cashflows while waiting for the bull to return which will surely happen. You now make a killing with the capital appreciation on the large volume of units. Or keep and be collecting dividend (rent) like Oracle. Selecting the right stock to key into is key of course. Personally I will be willing to take that risk. |

If you participated in the public offers which took place in Nigeria before 2010, the following are for your attention!!! 1. Did you buy shares using different combinations of names? 2. Did you buy the shares by yourself or through stockbrokers, registrars, banks, capital market operators, or any other means? 3. If YES, the Securities and Exchange Commission has opened a window of opportunity to help you regularise your shares and reclaim any accrued dividend on such shares! 4. Hurry now to your Stockbrokers, Registrars, Bankers or any other capital market operator for guidance on the steps you need to take to regularise those shares and reclaim any accrued dividends! 5. You can also visit the Commission’s website at http://sec.gov.ng/frequently-asked-questions-on-regularization-of-multiple-subscriptions/ for more information on this process. Hurry now before this window of opportunity closes!!! Signed, SEC Nigeria |

mimini: Please, what is the difference between primary and secondary treasury bill? Which is better in terms of risk and investment? I am confused because some banks said I could invest same amount for both primary and secondary. When asked which is better, was told they are both thesame.
I feel they don't understand it. Its the same Tbills whether you buy from Primary or Secondary. The only difference is Primary you are buying from CBN and the auction is every two weeks while in the Secondary market you are buying from someone else who bought before and is now selling it. Secondary market is available any day. Take your time to read the first few pages of this thread so you have an understanding of where you are putting your money. |
