Spot on. Due to its low volume it's not a stock for jijo but for dividend investors it's a good stock to have in your portfolio.

Mcy56:

Yeah. For two consecutive years now, they declared 14k, a dividend higher than what FCMB or even Fidelity declared, yet it wasnt patronize as such. You can only see buyers queing up at lower prices..... below 1.40.
However, I think its a stock any dividend lover should have in his/her portfolio and besides, it doesnt shed price as such during bear period.
They have subsidiaries in other countries which generates good revenue for them. So as a group, they make good profits yearly.

You have a point though. Some of these investment firms can give more specialized service as regards TBills and other fixed income instruments as its their core business. And there are a few well established and reputable firms out there. Some of them are even owned/partly owned by banks.

Acidosis:

That being said, all I'm asking is that we should open our minds a little bit so that people with useful info won't keep it to themselves out of fear of being castigated.

Dear Esteemed Client,

Anchorage Capital Partners (ACP) , a Private Equity Firm, became popular, among other reasons, for Dick Smith, which was dubbed, ‘the greatest private equity heist of all time'. A little background to the story; Dick Smith, which was founded in 1968, became the largest retailer of consumer electronics in Australia and New Zealand, and was fully sold to Woolworths in 1982. ACP acquired it for initial cash payment of $20million (and a cumulative sum just above $100million) in November 2012 and floated it on the Australian Securities Exchange in December 2013 for $520million, retaining a 20% stake, which was fully divested by September 2014, about 2 years before the company collapsed. Question; Could significant value have been created in less than 15 months to warrant such high valuations or was it simply financial ‘cosmetics’? Definitely not the former! So, what happened from acquisition to floatation and then to failure? Join us at our upcoming training on industry and company analysis to find out more and also develop the competencies to identify such incidences before the risks eventually crystallize.

@godlylifeoneart, how does a Nigeria acquire documents to register on easyequities.za

Go to their websites and check out their requirements for opening accounts. It's not that much different from opening an account here. I sent them an email to ask if they accept foreign non resident clients and they said they do.

Dividends will be paid into your stockbroking account which you can withdraw (in dollars) to your dorm account registered with them.

If you have any other concerns feel free to contact them. I plan to open an account with them next year.

exactly

and judging by how things go in Nigeria, like antecedents, something must be fishy and dodgy...

Was this your opinion too when Keystone Bank and Mainstreet Bank were created to take over BankPhb and Afribank respectively?

Please, tell us about them.
Also, what do you think about the content of the writeup generally?.

They are the chairman and CEO put in by CBN when they sacked the former board in 2016 and were retained by CBN when Polaris was set up to take over Skye bank. You can run a Google Search for their profiles.

As for the write up it pure trash and a poor attempt at emotional blackmail

The writer is a clown. An example of what dominates public discourse in Nigeria. He is so ignorant beyond belief.

Poorly written. To ask the question in bold shows the author did not do his/her homework before writing this or knows nothing about what happened.
