Not sure if this car is an xle V6 or a LE V6. XLE comes with Automatic AC and this has a manual AC control. The Navigation system isn't OEM. The steering is however for an XLE as there's an AC control button there which is absent on other models. The passenger front seat also has a manual control which is not found on an XLE. Possibility: The car is a LE probably involved in an auto crash with airbag deployment neccesitating a change in the steering wheel which explains the XLE steering wheel. There's probably a collision from the back accounting for a new boot with the XLE insignia. Conclusion: the car is a LE. |
ogawisdom:And this guys handle has wisdom in it. It depicts a lecturer asking a student for sex and the student says no and the lecturer walks away. In a work place. A lecturer to a student. And in your own world that's no biggie. Like how old are you seriously? Wondering how someone like you would manage your home if you could reason so low...and I'm sure you probably have 15 million things against the girl. You're not the sharpest tool in the box really. You seem to be more active in car talk and politics.....would advice you just limit your comments to those threads and not engage in any intellectual conversation here. |
ogawisdom:No need to trade words with you. You're obviously as ignorant as you write. It's not against the law for a lecturer to fraternize with a student same way it's not illegal for a doctor to date his patient. It's called professional misconduct and runs against work ethics in almost all institutions. You run foul of the law whenever the other party calls it sexual harassment. It's worse because she's taking a course under him. The lecturer dint deny being involved...he said it was a set up. Professional misconduct means the police won't come and arrest him but he's definitely going to lose his tenure and his job if there's any sign at all of a possible untoward relationship between them. Plus it's obvious you have a jaundiced view of the whole situation. Don't understand the fool you just called me though. It's totally uncalled for. |
ogawisdom:Comments like this tells me Nigeria is almost beyond redemption. There's no way he's winning that case with the university board or anywhere else. Fraternizing with a student is an offense and he played along. It would have helped if he said he played along intentionally but he said it was a set up. Leave the girl alone. People like you are the reason rape victims don't always want to come out. You don't find it scary that a lecturer is giving out marks for sex....a lecturer and someone's husband at that age is sleeping with his students and daughters age mate.....your ears don't pick when the girl said she doesn't like this which means she dint want to do it.....it didn't occur to you that he's using his position to obtain sexual gratification or you actually think the girl would have slept with him for free if not for his office.....the only thing obvious to you is that the girl is a Badoo. That sick, irresponsible , unrepentant , consent seeking old goat is above board to your colored eyes. |
ceejay4real:Your comment is really disappointing. It's an abuse of his position to sleep with a student most especially his student. He has the power to pass/fail her and using sexual gratification as a tool is wrong. It's unimportant to me if the girl seduced him or not....you must be above board in your dealings. And we're not talking about politicians here. This set of people make it difficult for students to graduate and are probably one of the reasons why students don't read anymore as they could exchange sex for marks. And I usually associate your moniker with common sense. |
Zceesneh:It's scary that you know so little about music and how money is being made from it. Still trying to understand how you arrived at an artist making 400 million from an album sale in Nigeria. The real deal is endorsement and shows and the likes. They make next to zil from album sales. You have an utopian view of how money is made and you're here talking about range Rover. |
Bukybabe:Wondering how you read the write up and couldn't pick the small nuances behind what the op wrote. The op has insinuated that they have done wrong...the idea of joining the bandwagon and disappointing its faithful customers should have given you an inkling to what the op or whoever wrote the article meant. |
Your data doesn't reflect relativity......,this figures have changed since early last year. Conmess 3 step 5 salary is around 320k and I'm talking take home after tax and other deductions |
It's quite painful half the comments being read here. I'm a Medical Doctor and the fact of the matter shouldn't be if the lady consented or not but a professional that misused his post/office to take advantage of a patient. A patient in a hospital is usually compliant to most instructions , she wasn't invited but came willingly for a solution to a problem, the doctor is the major person to be castigated here. It's wrong from every angle to sleep with a patient within a consulting room, it'd have made a little more sense if it was done in a hotel or somewhere else. We've not heard the Defence of the doctor but anything he says aside the fact that the lady is lying makes him culpable. It's unethical to sleep with a client especially when you're in a fertility clinic considering most of the people there are really desperate. It's also important to say the comments being read here is the reason why most women don't report rape cases.......you'll be hearing senseless comments like why did she go to his house...why did she not shout for help....she enjoyed it .... It's a rape if she dint consent to it. Forcing her is rape even if she enjoyed it eventually |
Argue all you can. As a doctor, I do know the leading cause of maternal death in this part of the world after bleeding is septic abortion and it's complications. This is a procudure that could be relatively safe if done by a well trained professional in the right place. The average Nigerian knows knows how to procure an abortion and the hypocritical half keeps shouting against it allowing needless death over issues that are of less concern to them. Half of them don't have a child they're training aside their children, they've never supported any orphaned children in their life, they'll be the first to judge a single mother who was brave enough to leave the baby and give birth even when the man said she should remove it, they stand on their altar and keep shouting orphanage as if anybody in their lineage as ever adopted a child before..... Remove religion out of it and every other reason being given becomes really senseless in the face of daily deaths happening all around. But then we can't really remove religion because we are a very religious nation and we love God so much that we can't afford to disobey him.. HYPOCRISY |
Millerz:You're not actually responding to me but all those stuff you typed up there are all BS(no apology for the world) . Which western world of yours do they prevent people from having abortion? . Cos US alone doesn't reflect the whole world and it's even state based. Grab a book and read and don't mislead others. Ignorance isn't an excuse. Update yourself or travel round a little more. Lagos isn't the whole world or God knows where you're really. |
Don't know where to start or what to say. It depends on where we're all coming from. If you take religiousity out of it and our fasting eroding moral compass....abortion actually wouldn't be such an evil as the op has painted it 1. It's actually as SAFE AS REMOVING A TOOTH if done by a qualified professional in the right place. It's a matter of choice in the UK and you can ask how safe it is there. So your first point is actually misleading cos it depends on if it's done by a professional or quack. 2. The issue of emotional scar depends on your own moral compass to start with. Some would rather endure the few days emotional scar than go through a 9 terrifying month of low self esteem and disgrace and even a disrupted career or education to bring an unwanted child neither father nor mother wants. You can as well read up the effects of unwanted pregnancy on children and their development. 3. Don't know about killing a baby. Each release inside a condom kills a 'baby'. The age at which you can call a baby a baby depends on when the baby can actually live. That's another matter entirely. 4. Don't know about that. 5. Don't know about exploiting women. I'm sure most doctors don't need the abortion money to go to Europe ....unless we're talking about a quack that is. 5. |
latest90:A 16gig iPhone has a capacity of around 11.8gig. 64gig has 50 something. A 64gig iPhone can't have all his memory available. Where would you load the operating system. That's how he knew it was a fake. And that's how you should know it's a fake. You can put it beside a real iPhone 5s and let us know your opinion after running the two beside each other. Thanks. |
deltateam:It's not a problem of past administration, it's a security issue and that's how it's done the wide world over. It's called a presidential motorcade and they don't wait for traffic light even in the best countries. The problem is for the man who thinks he's going to the airport when he's actually facing city gate and entering Abuja from LOKOJA or wherever it is he's coming from. A suggestion is for a service lane for emergencies and movements like this but then...... |
deltateam:So you won't be here on Nairaland again lamenting on how the president has suddenly stopped moving around in cars and is now flying all over Abuja. Doubt if it'd be sensible for the president to move around town in a helicopter. There's no wisdom in it and you need to travel more and by more I mean outside the country. |
Can I get the contents on drolalelakan@outlook.com |
ernieboy:Thanks for asking that question..... I've seen like three eggheads quoting the FOI act and it got me wondering if they actually know what it means exactly. The foi doesn't even come any close to explain what happened here and people are shouting about it. Nigerians can be very ignorant. Just to type and check on common Google. |
nora544:Only God, the Devil, your supplier and you knows what you've been smoking. |
While most of the points raised here are valid and within the boundary of commonsense.... Some actually sounds childish. 1. Cooking for your man when you're in his house doesn't and will not make you cheap. It's expected and shouldn't be made to sound cheap. It's not like a lady will usually foot the bill if they were to eat out so there's really no point there. 2. Public display of affection with your boyfriend who is only deceiving you.... Will it be right if he's not deceiving her?. Those are matters of personal preference and while everyone might not be into it.... Making it seem evil is something else. Every other points in the writeup are just normal day to day wisdom things that everyone should know. Nothing groundbreaking there. Nothing really informative or min opening in the write up. |
killzone:Samsung sales is mainly because of the million phone toys that come out yearly. Samsungs phone prices and HTC high end phones prices are actually on par. And that's considering that the S5 doesn't even have a premium feel |
Baddestguyp:Obvious you've never seen one talk more of handling it. Camera is mediocre for a high end phone doesn't mean it doesn't shoot better than a S3. And I've used both. It's still a very okay camera for me as i'm not a pedestal photographer. |
Qoigord:That OS might not be the latest. I'm using the M8 and on Kit Kat 4.4.4 so it's definitively not 4.4.2 |
Revving your car early before it gets to the optimum temperature actually damages your engine. There's an optimum temperature for the engine oil which requires that the vehicle warms to a certain temperature....revving before this temperature is attained means some part of the engine are not properly oiled and this wears the engine. I've seen the car manual for the infinity 2007, my Camry 2007, bmw 2001, Honda accord 2012 and all said the same thing - start your car and drive immediately at a relatively slow speed and no hard acceleration for the first few minutes. |
soulglo:That's for clinics. It's part of being a third world country. The average waiting time is close to a week in UK. To see a GP or A Specialist as the case may be |
TrollMan: Is the high way patrol unit dependable and functional in Nigeria?... No. You don't even see them.Ever since I've been on the road. I've never seen anyone that was stopped and prevented from traveling to their destinations because of absence of papers or drivers licence. The only thing they're interested in is how much they can get. Their presence on the road hasn't reduced criminal activities in any appreciable manner. It's more respectable when they just park by the road side rather than looking for what isn't lost. |
The op is better off with an I4 toyota camry unless he's going for 2009 and above. The 2007 V6 camry was very problematic and that's a well known problem the world wide over. Used to have one which was brought brand new then.... the tranny gave way at about 55000km...bought another tranny for about 500k then which lasted approximately 9 months. I've seen people use theirs for years without complaint as the gearbox isn't even supposed to be serviced but the complaints on the 07 V6 is beyond the usual lazy mechanics song...it actually has a problem. Check any US toyota site or google 2007 toyota V6 gearbox and you'll be surprised at what you'll get. He should steer clear of it unless he's going for the 08 and above. Trust me. Been there and done that. |
arresa: I'm not hammering on safety and security simply because in today's high tech age, nothing is safe or beyond hacking. Even the US military, banks and institutions with gets hacked everyday. You can only try, but nothing is completely safe. Nigeria or American company, it really doesn't matter...I get what you're saying......I personally don't feel Mastercard card had to put their logo on the card. And that's the extent of my concern and that's where it ends. Data loss or data mining is not something we will escape when development comes. I just feel the project should kick start first and we can then fine tune the rough edges. Plus I don't get get how people arrive at Verve card being the commonest. THEN not now. Almost all the banks now issue Mastercard because the better the country gets....then we would need to do business online and I can practically count the number of companies and organizations that I have tried my old verve cards with that it never worked. |
arresa: Exactly what's your brainless and pointless rant got to do with the issue raised here.I just got the hang of what you're saying all the while....you're not really bothered about identity theft or loss of data but just the singular fact that MASTERCARD CARD is owned by a US company. There's nothing to praise in the whole initiative and no reason for a constructive criticism but to hammer on the loss of data. As if it would be more secure with a Nigerian company to start with. |
QAPHAYNE: Gregor mendel revolutionalized GENETICS( hope u knw the impact of that today)?I know all about the Mendelian law of inheritance......I said the heading gave ME a wrong impression. Most of these discoveries aren't groundbreaking not to talk of world changing. I said most oo |
How did all these inventions so to say change the world? There's nothing house changing in all you listed not to now talk of the world. Produced a failed killer bee....something about a calendar and some other things. Nothing about LASER.... PENICILLIN.....even a LIGHT BULB and someone classifies all these accidental discovery as Catholic Priest that CHANGED the world. Most of the names are relatively strange to me and that makes them neophytes to me as I like to think I'm well versed in many areas. |
I get where 50 Calibre is coming from. I don't know why someone would open a page starting with Most EXPENSIVE schools in the country and start trying to run it down when you know you're not one the RICHEST folks in your lineage not to talk of village. You'll see people here throwing names of People that dint bother to go to good schools and did well but won't bother to ask where the children of those peeps are going to. I want to give my children better than what I got and that should be every parents dream. Bill Gates has poured millions into K12 schools in US while his 3 children attend Lakeside School( which is Seatle most elite and private schoool) Jonathan dint have a shoe but I'm sure you won't find a shoeless student at American International School in Abuja where his children attend. Wise people value education and while it doesn't make the man....it adds to the man. The fact that you see it as expensive doesn't mean everyone sees through your mirror. Even your so called cheap private school at 100k is still a waste of money to a poor soul somewhere. I pray to afford such for my children IN addition to all what we should teach them at home. |
infolekan: The good thing about all of this is that.....when the game is over, THE DOCTOR will still smile last.I said this then. The Govt will eventually bow. AND I wasn't wrong. |
