eezor: People like u can never join forces to effect changes. Yet u are on nairaland awaiting cheats every dayThere's no change to be effected in illegality. Airtel has a data subscription for mobile phones and that includes Android and they're not closing that one so I don't know where you get off shouting that they are shutting you down when the plan has always been for BlackBerry. The subscription says BlackBerry Internet service (bis) and not ais. Learn to do the right thing and fight for the right thing. I use a Z10 and pay for my data fully at 3k for Mtn which I can then use as hot spot in my laptop and ipad. Get a 3k5 Mtn data and enjoy your browsing too. You need to imbibe the culture of paying for whatever goods you want and bit how to cheat authorities. |
jonaji: Elements causing bosom cancer could be found in used Bras such as chemicals secreted by the bosom. U Neva can tell, just be careful !!and right here is a living definition of the word "ignoramus". So much for elements and bosom cancer. Smh for the teeming population of educated illiterates being raised in our dear country. |
It's like a man going somewhere to verbally abuse someone. Will the question not be what did you go there to do? Because we sane people know that your word us an action and is what determines the destiny of most people. That's probably why you're where you are till today. |
In as much as I've tried to go through obadiahs' replies and comments throughout this thread.....i still can't get the hang of what he's saying or make any sense out of it either morally( not putting religion into it) or spiritually. YOU ARE INDIRECTLY TELLING A CHILD OF GOD TO LIE TO SAVE HIS LIFE. You keep forgetting that speaking a word out is an action on its own and it's equivalent to hitting someone or playing football. A primary school pupil knows that speaking is an action and every normal human being recognises that a man's word is his bond and shouldn't be broken. Why else did the bible tell us that God does not lie and holds his word? Your faith itself is based on the word of God as written? Why follow his words and not enter the wilderness travelling round as a missionary since you're so keen on turning the word of God upside down and downside up. You need to pray harder......its very obvious to me that you need more of prayers for yourself than trying to lead people or explaining the bible to them. And some ne'erdowells here are trying to follow a blind man's footstep. I'll continue praying for you. |
Don't know why people think they're not making serious money here. All your telecoms and banks and what not place adverts on it. Go to any government or a real private setup and count the number of dstv that are there on full bouquet. In my former work place. .i once counted 22 dstv all on full bouquet and that was years ago....dobt know where people are getting the idea that purchasing power is going down. Everyone I know is on full and they pay monthly. |
Had a similar problem with my camry 2007 se V6 at a time and had to change the actuator for about 40k AFTER an OBD scan. Reading this and looking back.....i sure do hope I wasn't taken for a donkey ride then sha. |
Do you know what automatic climate control mean at all..... Everyone knows that the car is a camry (an envelope) so all this your EBD and all isn't what us going to move it. Even a 2012 toyota camry doesn't all have automatic climate control unless it's an XLE and this your car definitely isn't. Very clean and lovely ride though. |
obayaya: misplaced priority!!! what is the essence of school if not to turn the unintelligent students to intelligent or average students.I don't want you to have a feeling you're unlucky cos I picked out your comment of all the hundreds before you and made it a template for my reply.... Yes, there's something like unintelligent and it's used for people who are not intelligent. The op probably created the thread with mischief as his sole purpose. Putting up a pass mark for a pupil is both right morally and educationally.....it stirs the student to read more. The decadent in the educational sector is not a source of concern to many and it's when policies that will encourage the student to read more comes up that the so called retro progressive people now starts comparing Nigeria to China and the USA and even Ghana. We all know Nigeria is still a long way off and while the development might not follow that of China or Korea......Lagos is the only state that things seems to be moving at least and the best people do with any progressive information is to compare it to the country with the best standard |

iterator25: you're so uninformed.. pls don't comment on thingz you know little aboutAnd you that you're so informed hasn't contributed anything worth reading by your comment. Are you talking about military armoured car or manufacturing an armored car cos they're different things. Not all cars are made for war and the Hummer is one of the beautiful adaptation of a military armoured car. Most luxurious car makers have an armoured version if their high end cars and there are different levels to it. So what type are they producing and what level are they adding to it is more informative for the forum than your rants that isn't much different from the person you're attacking |
iterator25: some nairalanders disgust me sometimesThis man(or woman) called iterator is funny. And you'd still call that picture you showed us a manufacturing plant or an assembly plant. Which part of the vehicle is produced by them or you think manufacturing means putting things from different people together in your own way? ..... I don't expect them to build an engine plant or produce brake callipers but then...the picture you put up could easily be the inside of a technical college or polytechnic in Ilorin self and you're there calling someone foolish and throwing names around. There's nothing on that your picture that shows anything serious. |
elshanAutos: Its EX. You're wrong. It's LX once again and you're wrong. There's nothing in that car to suggest EX.... It has a single loader instead of six, AC buttons are manual instead of automatic. Seats ate fabric instead of leather( though That's not an absolute rule). That car is an LX |
Nigerians with our cheap and criminal mentality. Anything to rob authority is always welcomed here. People looking to use Glo BIS in Android phones as if there's no mobile data plan out there for their phones. And the way they'll be shouting the Android...you'll actually think they have the money to buy a quality phone. Techno is not even rated in any useful site worldwide and few of them actually get to buy the Samsung and LGs and HTC. They'll open threads soon comparing phantom to Note 3 and asking foolish questions about what one can do and the other can't. Get a mobile data plan if you need to browse on your 'android ' phones or get a BlackBerry phone to enjoy the BIS plan. |
deols: I am supposed to take the blame now cos some of you fail to reason??Knew you had a sharp tongue ( or maybe finger) but dint know you're a MOD. Try and read through what you wrote initially about calling your folks. Read through it...digest it and tell someone to read it out to you again and try to post an apology to those you've insulted |
deols: No one claimed that it is verified. The op is in a question format.Quran 49:6. Read it. The best place to ask such questions is in their shop and not here. And it would have been better if you had confirmed first before calling all sundry to stop eating it BEFORE confirming it. It's like accusing someone of being a child molester......even if the accusation is later found to be false, people would still have the doubt in their mind and would probably never leave their children with that person. Some things are better confirmed before being brought to a public forum. I chose to reply you cos all the other posters here have been talking reasonably well like adults but it seems you're hell bent on creating mass panic. |
deols: You have no idea. Someone beside me just called her mum to tell her of this..The right thing would have been for the op to go there and confirm before posting this online. People like you create mass panic for no reason. The halal sign might not be there for the simple reason that Shoprite isn't coming from a Muslim country and going online to smear a companies name is libelous at its best. Why call your mum to tell her not to eat the bread again when you haven't confirmed poo. It's people like you that rebroadcast stories of HIV blood in coca cola and funny things like don't buy bread with red nylon....ut has been poisoned by Boko haram. And you'll be acting decent and educated later. Smh for you. |
This is a lx Mr man not an EX as you put. The AC control isn't automatic |
It's more worrisome to me to imagine how empty his head would have been cos he couldn't even spend a little time to research bis ID card before printing it. Gynaecology doesn't stand under surgical department but under the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. So printing an ID card with his department under surgery and then combining the double honour of being a Surgeon( general surgeon or what remains to be seen) combined with being a gynecologist is a sure give away for anyone who's on the medical line. Thank God he was caught though. God knows how many families he would have caused lots of untold hardship or grieve for through his mismanagement |
I think a lot of people got it all wrong asking questions about his qualifications and all.....it doesn't really matter. He's the governor of the state and ethics should tell him that it'll be wrong to give his son an appointment(an official appointment at least) in the same state he's governing. The word nepotism aptly describes what took place here. It doesn't really matter much if the Son is qualified or not. It started initially in the catholic Church where the root word nepotism is found when nephews were made popes and cardinals on the death of their uncles. . Continued in churches( winners for example where the Son is leading the branch in UK, idahosa did the same thing) and it just reared it's head again in Jos though we can count several other places where it has happened. It's jot a new thing and shouldn't even ruffle any feather...its been on since the days of Abraham. |

pmc01: Why are we like this in this country? Are some people trying to make us all people who have died from the cruelty of all these stupid cultists were all cultists? What happened to mistaken identity? What if it had to do with him unknowingly having minor issues (such as refusal to co-operate in exam malpractice) with one of them.In as much as we try to commiserate with the dead...it doesn't take a new set of brain to add two and two together here. A man was killed in front of his house a week to his graduation without any other wounded souls around and there wasn't any talk of robbery and you're still assuming the people that attacked him killed him because he was the chief security of the school? Seen peeps killed in my time in school and I can assure you that I dint meet any innocent among them. Not when they're killed at home. A week to graduation. And the only target. Killing someone isn't the same thing as beating or maiming someone. Those peeps don't just do it for fun....its usually reserved for..... |
Orikinla: When these doctors go on strike, many poor patients suffer and die. But the rich patients can always go to the private hospitals of these same doctors, because when they go on strike at the government hospitals, their private hospitals boom. These Nigerian doctors care less about their poor patients. Even if they don't fear God, they should have some sense of morality and conscience. Many poor people have died, because of these inhuman strikes. I have seen Nigerian doctors treat poor patients like their life is worthless without money in ER. The fact is nobody prays and wishes for tragedies that happen without notice and at such emergencies, most people are rushed to the hospitals with whatever amount of money they have on them and yet in most cases the doctors don't treat them without first asking for payment. That is why you can hardly find Good Samaritans in Nigeria during emergencies, because Nigerian doctors will not treat strangers in emergencies. But in the United States of America, Europe and even in Asia, doctors rush to the rescue of even strangers to save their lives in emergencies before asking for money. Why are Nigerian doctors even doctors? For the prestige of the title of the profession? For the high income? Or for their love of caring for and saving lives? One thing I want to tell these Nigerian doctors is, WHETHER YOU BELIEVE IN GOD OR NOT, THERE IS GOD AND HE KNOWS AND SEES ALL THINGS AND EVERY LIFE IS PRECIOUS TO HIM NO MATTER THE SOCIAL CLASS STATUS OF THE PERSON, AND GOD WILL CERTAINLY TREAT YOU AS YOU TREAT YOUR FELLOW HUMAN BEING. THE LAWS OF HARVEST NEVER FAIL AND EITHER YOU, MEMBERS OF YOUR FAMILY OR RELATIONS WILL PAY THE PRICE SOONER OR LATER FOR EVERY CRIME OR EVIL YOU DO. GOD IS WATCHING US ALL. BEWARE OF GOD.Ignorance at its peak.......those countries you mentioned have a comprehensive health insurance system. They pay proactively and not retroactively. Ask the government what happened to the NHIS started some years ago. The average medical doctor represents one of the hardest working professional and the least paid worldwide. It's easier for people to talk about leaving dying patients but the private and the government hospitals don't run on water or goodwill ...they actually run in cash and until a Dr in a doctor name can be used to get food free or on credit at the market, it's important to know that the doctor works for money just as every Nigerian does. |
Smoking and alcohol are the single highest modifiable risk factor for a lot,and I mean a lot of diseases. Alcoholic liver disease is a disease in its own and while the 'quoted ' researches might talk about vague health benefits and all....therr are a thousand factual diseases such as peptic ulcer, hypertension, dyslipidoaemia, heart attack, kidney failure, liver failure and a host of other diseases directly linked to alcohol consumption. While moderation in drinking is the key word. ..addiction isn't that difficult and a little alcohol inadvertently becomes a life for some. It's a hobby for the rich and a major reason while the poor keeps staying poor. |
walcolm: i trust you are using MTN dedicated BB10 plan?I paid for the MTN maxi plan. Haven't tried any other network actually but the MTN had been working fine for over a year till JUST after the new version. Thinking if going back to the 1047 as I seem to be the only having the problem |
Just got to this thread and its been nice seeing that lots of problems gets solved here. loaded the leaked OS 10.2.0.1521 some days ago and it worked very well. Was initially on the leaked 10.2.0.1047 which also worked very well except for the hotspot which was a general problem. The 1521 is working fine right now except that mine is having radio issues as i usually discover that the data services goes on & off randomly. I have to switch from 2G to 3G and back severally to get the data service on and it will go off after some time. Is there any way i can load the radio file for the 1047 on the new OS and a link for that if there's a way please. Appreciate the help in advance. I use MTN by the way |
KA24DETT: In the US, majority of obesity, diabetes and hypertension are associated with soda. People who live healthy don't even take it or have stopped taking it hereDon't mind the op jooo...he was expecting thumbs up and all and don't expect any incisive dissection if his post. Bringing poo on US like we don't read about then daily here. CONSUMPTION OF SUGAR isn't NOT a risk factor for diabetes.....obesity is a risk factor. Taking 20 cubes of sugar daily won't make you have diabetes if there's no genetic predisposition or other risk factors for it....it only increases the RATE and could prevent in people who already have the risk factor. Please don't ask me for the difference between rate and the risk medically. They're not the same thing. And don't even bring US studies into the bag.....that's what I study everyday and half of the food we all eat will be termed poisons when you go down that line. |
The question itself is funny....how do lawyers bill? how do schools bill you? Why do house rents vary?... There's no standard billing pattern.....it just depends on the professionalism and the area the hospital is located and probably the clientele the owner of the hospital feels more comfortable ( patients are essentially clients when you get down to the nitty gritty) Delivery via CS when I was in med school then was 15k in unilorin teaching hospital, 50k at the average private, 150k at some places I know and even as high as 350k in some other places THEN. The onus lies on you to decide which one was made for you. And same applies even in UK though the insurance coverage spares the majority. Have you ever wondered why The health care professionals are paid different salaries too? The going rate in UK is 40 - 65 pounds per hour( sure you can see the wide disparity in SALARY) so you wouldn't expect services to be offered at the same cost. I hope this has helped you a little in understanding the differences and YES....there's no manual fit calculating the price except common sense...if there's Spanish tiles at the carpark....AC running at the waiting room, a receptionist that speaks better English that your girlfriend and the excessive use if Sir and unwarranted defence to your every whims and fancy.....youll probably have to pay for it all layer in ten times fold. |
sainty2k3: Why will you say that, have you not been seeing 'smokers are liable to die young ' on bill board and even cigarrete packs, cigarete smoking is a risk factor for many diseases, hypertension, stroke etc. But no research has linked cocacola to any disease, not even diabetes , they only advice pple with diabetes not to take coke and any other drink like pepsi or sprite . Stop defending what is not #teamcokeforeverOp "copied" a nice write up making only one single mistake.....NL is thronged equally by both the illiterate, semi educated ( who swallow everything they read hook, line and sinker) and the erudite. The first effect if excess sugar isn't conversion to fatty acid but a glycosuric effect where the body tries to dispose it off in the urine diluted in water hence the thirst feeling even after consuming a bottle of coke. While drinking a bottle of coke doesn't add any real value to your health.....drinking it isn't going to kill anyone and comparing it to cigarette smoking is a while new level. cigarette is a well studied and well know carcinogen the whole wide world over...sugar or coke isn't. A lot of your everyday food are harmful to health and while I won't advise anyone to get addicted to a bottle of coke..i won't also paint a doomsday picture if it too. And you'll do well to explain the 10 minutes conversion to glucose unless you lifted it directly off a website and the person dint really explain it there. |
Godogwu: it costs more to live in Nigeria than the US? c'mon man, are you even alright?. I'm a student here and my housing alone cost $650 a month (without gas, electricity and all) and its a two-bedroom apt. In every year i'd spend about $7800 (N1.2m) or more on just housing; i could rent a bigger house/apt in lekki, GRA or wuse for that amount. And what really are you studying there that is not offered in Nigeria. We're talking minimum wage you're telling us your house rent as a student...how does that correlate? Why dint you sit down in Nigeria to study instead of acting as an arbiter telling people how difficult it is to survive there. It's funny when some people think it's ever one in Nigeria that can afford a house or a meal or even start up money to start a business. There are graduates being offered 10,000 here not to talk of the uneducated. Any country would be terrible for a man who travels there without any plan for what he wants to do and the people that would complain and tell others not to go are the ones who felt they had to leave by all means without ever giving a thought to what they're going to do there. US is better than Nigeria whichever way you want to look at it. It's called quality of life and not necessarily the money. |

Lots of blind patriotism on this thread. In Nigeria...people that warn 18000 don't pay rent and provide for basic essentials. That lady sweeping the road that earns 18000 probably depends on her husband for support and lives in the "family house " with 16 other couples. Life expectancy is different for both countries and you'll mist likely get a fast, effective and prompt health care delivery over there than here. Nigeria life expectancy is still at 49 and you're comparing standard of living there to US at 71? Minimum wage is minimum wage anywhere and won't take anyone home..... the basics such as electricity, security, food are easily accessible(at a cost) there than here. Accommodation in LA is very high and so also is Laos but the quality of life aren't the same.......a man is twice as likely to die because he's rich in Nigeria than in US(and that's my own conservative personal statistics). With the insane amount of money spent on individual security and fuel for generator and transportation and HEALTH...its no surprise that Nigeria is a developing country and the US is not hut the problem starts when people think you pick the money from trees there. You work for each penny you earn there and the lower you're on the ladder...the worse it is for you. there's no such lander in Nigeria and what the average Nigerian calls living is just a form of suffering and horror that no human should go through. |
Feraz: So this is all you could come up with? If I don't join a unit in my church, I'm not qualified to be a member or rather I'm not a true member of the church? Really? Did you also read the part where he said it was parked at a place he was sure was not the church premises? Did you also read the part where he said "overzealous church members will yell don't park here only to park more favoured cars"? Did you read where he said the church the culprit went inside the church to hide? So because of the security situation of the nation, I have to get a permit from the officials before I park my car? Bros, what are you saying? You didn't condemn the fact that he was beaten up, you didn't condemn the fact that they tried to use the bible to cover up evil, you didn't condemn the fact that his tyres were damaged but you're using the scriptures to backup the acts. Wow!!! Tomorrow, if I don't join a unit in my church, I'm not a member from your above post. Nigerians, open your eyes!I'm not one to comment on things like this but I've been attending winners for over 3 years and even did when I was working in a security challenged area like Bauchi and what the op described up here is almost impossible....to a right thinking man. Why would a grown up be dragged because he parked in a wrong place.....his clothes torn....and also called an armed robber. Unless of course he was never a member and went to forment trouble in a security tensed area where he could easily have been confused for a Book Haram member or he might even be. The story sha get as he be and only the op and Pastor Kun( who's God given mission is to expose ALL ministers of God, based on rumours and hear says of course) knows the truth. Even Solomon who never read any book called the Bible knew better to listen to both sides of the story before passing judgement and making sweeping generalised statement. |
