Health / Re: Nigerian Doctors Wait As Indian Doctors Gain Approval To Practice In US, Canada by infolekan(m): 8:58am On Sep 24, 2023 |
AllenSpencer: India doesn’t have the best IT systems in the world. They don’t have the best IT specialist in the world. The only thing they have is the highest number of IT experts and that is understandable. In the UK. Nigeria comes third in health professionals working the health sector after India and Pakistan. Nigerians are not pushover in the IT sector. Nigerians are far better than this narrative you’re pushing. They’re excelling well all over the world and breaking almost all barriers. You need to move around more and stop glorifying nonsense. How many US specialist do you see outside the US? Because the country has what it takes. India has ‘half’ its professional population outside India looking for better jobs and better practice settings. 1 Like |

Gajagojo: It’s not even fake news. It’s just nonsense interpreted with biased eyes for most people. Canada needs your school accredited with over $10,000 to be able to apply directly for training. India paid for almost all the schools in India starting from next year. No part of the article talked about professionalism or being better. Just that a country has paid that huge amount and someone here is talking about Indians being better. When Nigerian doctors are almost everywhere flourishing and leading. |
Health / Re: Nigerian Doctors Wait As Indian Doctors Gain Approval To Practice In US, Canada by infolekan(m): 8:43am On Sep 24, 2023 |
BigIyanga: Just had to double check your figures again. You’re comparing an exam that over 2800 Nigerians passed to just 85 Grenadians and you call Nigerian doctors quack? The Indians are ‘better’ because they’re over a billion in their country so you expect flashes of genius with that population figure and more Indians in most places. Most health facilities in the US, UK, Australia and almost everywhere are predominantly Indian populated. Nigeria always ranks high up there too. Sit this one out. Seems you’re not even in the field because you’ll know this. Data’s are better interpreted with knowledge of the background not just printing things online and interpreting in a straight line |
Health / Re: Nigerian Doctors Wait As Indian Doctors Gain Approval To Practice In US, Canada by infolekan(m): 8:38am On Sep 24, 2023 |
BigIyanga: But Nigeria has a higher pass rate than the Indians that this article is even about. Carribean schools get admitted more into US training because they run the same curriculum. They’ve even been shouting that they shouldn’t have to go through the USMLE route as an IMG. How many Grenada students wrote that exam compared to Nigeria or India. Your analysis is flawed. You’ll see a thousand Nigerians before you’ll see one Grenada. Your data up there proves it unless you’ve a problem with Data interpretation. 85 grenadas to over a thousand Nigerians and you’re still saying Nigerians don’t know what they’re doing. Go to any health facility all over the world and remove Indians and Pakistanis…you’re probably coming up with Nigeria as third. Both countries have higher population figure than nigeria and that explains it |
Health / Re: Nigerian Doctors Wait As Indian Doctors Gain Approval To Practice In US, Canada by infolekan(m): 8:31am On Sep 24, 2023 |
BigIyanga: This is ignorance. The pass score for USMLE Step 1 isn’t difficult. Almost everyone I know passed the exam even when they were using the 60% score. You’ll need references from someone in the US to train as part of the criteria’s they need that’s why most Nigeria usually go for clinical attachment to make the connection. I personally know over 10 Nigerian Dr that got matched for training last year alone. Almost everyone I know ‘passed’ USMLE Step 1 in one sitting. You definitely know nothing about the exam Most of you dint read the article but jumped at the headline. India paid the money for certification which ran into million of dollars to Canada. Entry into practice in Canada is very difficult and one need to pay almost $10,000 each per school I think to be able to apply. India as a country paid against next year self. At least read the attached article before bashing your country |

ursullalinda: Never been to Anambra so can't fault Obi being a good or one of the best. I know the places I've lived and doubt I can be talking about the best roads in Nigeria when you obviously haven't even been everywhere. Maybe the Northerners can talk about best road but definitely not in the south unless you're referring to the state capitals alone |

ThrownBack: But Tinubu who hasn't held any post in the last 15 years is responsible for Nigerias insecurity. Tinubu has sat down in his Lagos without even being elected as a Senator but he's the one running Nigeria. Someone you people spent the better part of the last 7 years deriding and accusing of being sidelined by the north and calling stupid for supporting his candidate and party has now become the person personally responsible for insecurity in Nigeria |

soundOsonic: 10,000 people having sex every moment......some have sex three rounds. All it takes is one person. I can only imagine the number of unprotected daily sex. Leave that idiot talking about antibodies to all virus.....he should eat more and learn more. Most data are insignificant until you calculate the daily volume. I don't want to believe you mean the talk about HIV not existing. Going by that guys hypothesis ...no virus exist not just HIV. He can use all the words he wants but when it comes to the nitty gritty...he knows next to nothing. If we could all do a group call on it.....you'll likely realize the shallowness of this guys knowledge. Ive spent over 13 years seeing just HIV patient so I should know what I talking bout |

soundOsonic: ANTIBODIES to most virus is what is used to detect viruses worldwide and its not HIV alone. Almost all viruses.VIRAL ANTIBODIES or ANTIGEN Insertive Penile-Vaginal Intercourse is 0.04% as quoted by CDC. Those are not lifetime risks but incident risk. meaning if 100 people had sex with someone with HIV...0.04 will have HIV. it looks small when playing a roulette but when you take into account the huge number of unprotected sexual inetercourse occurring daily, you'll understand the risk. 10,000 unprotected sex with someone with HIV means 4 people are getting the virus.....and daily event of unprotected intercouse in Nigeria alone are in millions considering the average person prides himself on going 3 rounds at least. Multiply that daily and see the huge risk. The figures speaks different when you look at the data fully...dont let that guy deceive you The table itself shows how risky it is from a community health point of view. |

EMILO2STAY: half truths and half lies. HIV virus can't be identified ...half truth. All viruses are so small that they can only be seen by electron microscope....so small that even a scanning electron microscope wont pick them usually except a transmission electron microscope. All you're doing is pushing out half truths which is very dangerous. I can understand the fact that you know next to nothing about this but you're pushing what you had somewhere but quit talking like an authority. There is no garbage under a microscope, maybe artifacts. Viruses are so small that they don't even have a color as they are smaller than the wavelength of light and come up as undefined structures. BUT this refers to all viruses and not just the HIV. |

ezra01: He claimed hiv doesn't exist....he claimed aids is just old diseases given new names. That's funny and pathetic at the same time. He's talking about big pharma deceiving people....I'm talking about live patients I see daily. He's reading online articles....I'm talking about real life situations. AIDS is Acquired immune deficiency syndrome. Acquired means it's gotten and not natural....immune deficiency is clear... Syndrome is why you get when you discover that a patient that eats cashew nut has brown stool and pain in the ankle....that's an example. It's a group of symptoms that occurs usually together The worst lie is a half truth and that's what he's giving out. He's speaking facts on things he has absolutely no idea on and insisting that he should be corrected with facts. Facts that hiv doesn't exist because he gave a page from a deranged scholar ignoring the other millions research......it's funny how woke people want to sound and how difficult it is educate a religious teacher who has decided that the aeroplane is actually being lifted by a spiritual force |

soundOsonic: And CDC told you there's no HIV? Do you actually understand what CDC wrote there Pt you assumed what it meant? How many deaths from malaria have you personally seen? You'll probably not know how many until you're there. And by the way....research isn't finding and collation of data. It is a systematic approach to study a subject more using a scientific approach.....it is deeper. Most of these people give you half conjectures. Pharmaceutical companies are definitely profit driven....we all know that. They lie and cover up some things.....yes we all know. Someone would come and add it all together and confuse people. Why isn't there a cure for malaria? They're not going to invest in it because it's a tropical disease that you won't find in Europe or America. Africa don't buy drugs or most things to start with....they live on grants and free money. They put money into where they'll see money. Malaria will have had a cure or vaccine fully probably if it was a white thingy but hell no. You'll be surprised that the person that is shouting no HIV will not subject himself to being inoculated with one. He doesn't believe in the science behind hiv but doesn't mind taking a flu jab or taking an antibiotics by the same pharma when he has an infection. Double standard |
Health / Re: My HIV Experience As A Married Man by infolekan(m): 12:02am On Dec 26, 2021 |
EMILO2STAY: I knew half the junk you were saying was definitely from a source that you took hook, line and sinker. You're here talking about experience...how many hiv patients have you seen? How many have you managed....how many have recovered? There are a million research in pubmed and other journal review sites on hiv. Having this conversation with someone that read a end of the world publication that is neither scientific based or experience based is quite funny. Just people putting up funny hypothesis to mess up your knowledge. Read where you talked about different illnesses given a new name....that's when I confirmed you know next to nothing cos you obviously don't know what AIDS mean.....it's a syndrome and you don't even know the meaning of a syndrome. There's a professor somewhere on the net claiming malaria doesn't exist....there's even one learned idiot somewhere that will have written a documentary claiming that Nigeria isn't in africa but Europe with 'convincing' evidence. Filter what you read is the important thing. Not everything online is to be believed. You obviously read that article...followed a couple more links and boom...you're an authority on hiv with of course....a few followers that always like the bandwagon movement. 1 Like |

EMILO2STAY: I think I need to explain what hiv and AIDS means. HIV is a virus..... AIDS isn't a disease....it's a syndrome. A syndrome is what you get when you see this and this and this and this. You're getting half bright with your responses and deliberately being misleading. I'm quite certain you're reading this from one moonfarer or those end of the world conspiracy guys. If you have questions...ask those who know about it. Don't keep misleading people. It's tiring when you're trying tk explain things to a mind that's closed already 1 Like |

Olamilekxy: Means it's not a one plus one thing. Means you dint get malaria everytime you're bitten by a mosquito Same way not everyone in a room with covid 19 gets it. The viral load which is the amount of the virus in the persons body also plays a role....and genital ulcer increases the chances of getting the virus from someone that is infected.....and that's what I meant by other factors. Anal sex is usually more bruise prone so carries a higher risk factor...and that and that. 1 Like |

EMILO2STAY: Medicine doesn't follow the years you're quoting up there....it's an average. Some go as far as 20 years before developing any symptom ....some progresses immediately. The zidovudine you seem so hellbent on misleading people about has been phased out for newer drugs over 4 years ago in most centres....it's one out of several other drugs Your opinion is for yourself....those that are on the drugs knew how they were before and how they felt after. The internet is full of a lot of materials that needs to be read and understood with sense....there are always exceptions to every rule.... Nobody lives thier life betting on the exceptions... How many patients with HIV have you personally seen....I can count over 50 that I've personally seen that were diagnosed with HIV....ran away to churches or herbal homes or just plain rejected the result....and guess what..they ALL came back when it became worse. I've seen several that were bad and started the drugs and are much better now. Please...stick to what you know and dint mislead the general public. Having sex with someone with hub doesn't translate literally to someone having it...hepatitis can also be contracted through sexual intercourse and several other diseases... Your idea of the body fighting all illnesses would have been lovely if it meant we're not supposed to be ill at all. We're still getting malaria that we're so used to daily and someone here is saying heretics so confidently 1 Like |

What the emilio guy typed is as scary as it is false...and the fact that a lot of people actually believe him is scary on it's own. Firstly....having sex with someone that has HIV doesn't automatically translate to having HIV....there are risk associated with it depending on if it's penetrative sex...MouthAction or if the person has std Secondly....he linked HIV to unhealthy lifestyle....that itself is aloe cos over a quarter of those with HIV in Nigeria are actually well to do plus more than 80% of Nigeria shoukd have developed it by now. There are always conspiracy theorist everywhere....most people believe the Queen is an alien tops the most believed conspiracy theory in the world so I'm not surprised he has people to quote. I've been seeing HIV patients as a doctor since 2012 and I can tell you categorically that the drug works....I've seen patients that were looking like broomstick stray drugs and end up going for weight control.. Before the advent of antiretroviral drugs...most HIV patients has less than 10 years to live but people on the drugs are living an almsot normal life now. People say a lot of misleading stuff online but guess what....after visiting the herbalist and the forest and everything goes left....they still end up in the hospital. 1 Like |

Cant blame anyone though....people dint really die here in Africa. He definitely wont say thart if he was in UK or US. Vaccination makes your body produce antibodies against the virus suvh that if you ever get infected....your body will be able to fight it off easily. Thats the easiest way to explain it 1 Like |

After marriage...a real man knows his immeddiate family is his wife andd kids. A grown childd is still tied to his mothers apron. No need for contest here. Family first means your wife not your mother. Your mother has your father as a companion but when the father is missing.....it becomes easier for people to say the wife is below the mother If the home had a loving father, you wont even think of competing with your father to take care of your mom but broken homes and singe mother have glamourized this. 5 Likes 1 Share |
