Feraz: So this is all you could come up with? If I don't join a unit in my church, I'm not qualified to be a member or rather I'm not a true member of the church? Really? Did you also read the part where he said it was parked at a place he was sure was not the church premises? Did you also read the part where he said "overzealous church members will yell don't park here only to park more favoured cars"? Did you read where he said the church the culprit went inside the church to hide? So because of the security situation of the nation, I have to get a permit from the officials before I park my car? Bros, what are you saying? You didn't condemn the fact that he was beaten up, you didn't condemn the fact that they tried to use the bible to cover up evil, you didn't condemn the fact that his tyres were damaged but you're using the scriptures to backup the acts. Wow!!! Tomorrow, if I don't join a unit in my church, I'm not a member from your above post. Nigerians, open your eyes!I'm not one to comment on things like this but I've been attending winners for over 3 years and even did when I was working in a security challenged area like Bauchi and what the op described up here is almost impossible....to a right thinking man. Why would a grown up be dragged because he parked in a wrong place.....his clothes torn....and also called an armed robber. Unless of course he was never a member and went to forment trouble in a security tensed area where he could easily have been confused for a Book Haram member or he might even be. The story sha get as he be and only the op and Pastor Kun( who's God given mission is to expose ALL ministers of God, based on rumours and hear says of course) knows the truth. |
princetunex: slowpoke, what do you mean by i'm writting what i do nt knw. What is there to know mr. And hav u drifted from my argument or do you have a problem reading. My argument once again is that when you wanna attack an argument where your opponent has provided a source, you also attack wt ur own source or reference. And I'm in lagos, neva bn to kwara so watch your mouth. May the good lord open your understanding. You weren't talking to me but it would be a waste of common sense to read what you wrote up here and not react. A man is going you evidence that the kwara state pension bulls**t passed a law detailing a policeman to a RETIRED Governor and you're expecting someone to reply to that? Is it the state that controls the NPF or the Federal? Injustice to one is injustice to all and until we know what happened.... we can only speculate but to think that the law of kwara will determine the dealings of the fed is a severe case of delusion. |
There used to be a time when it felt good engaging in intellectual discourse in this forum....... just right before Internet became so ridiculously cheap and phones with Web access became so increasing popular( Nokia ashas and probably techno) made lots of shallow and bigoted individuals to spew comments and hurl abuses without consideration of the topic at hand. The man is a fool....he's arrogant and all such comments are the kind of baseless verbiage that comes from an already poisoned mind who has never met the man he describes by those words and who probably doesn't have an inkling why he calls him arrogant. Stories online should be taken and read with a discerning mind and shouldn't be ingested verbatim. The world isn't black and white there are shades of grey and so are all these stories. |
This biomedexexel or whatever you're called sure have a lot of problem and reaching above your arms grasp is one of them. Comparing any health team member to a Doctor is quite arrogant to even start with. The closest to a Doctor are pharmacist and they don't blab any how cos they know their worth. But a disillusioned med lab tech(or scientist) or even a nurse is the height of pride. Doctors are far above you and you'll always take the second fiddle when it comes to health care. |
BluStreak: This is not what God intended for His church: for church leaders to brainwash his followers to the point of facing the truth downwards. This bubble has burst, with this girl setting the pace, many more are going to come forward. Someone else is already talking and also challenged the man to deny it and have himself to blame. Read on . . . .Would have thought Franca would just put up the pictures and straight up....all these empty threats are already getting boring. What stops her from just putting up a picture or two or the audio clip with a picture preferably....someone is out already, we need evidence right now not someone blowing hot air that he should deny this or that. Someone will come out tomorrow again asking him to deny another story.....i thought that it bears on the plaintiff in cases like this to bring forth the evidence since you're the one accusing the man. |
frosbel: I am a Christian who thinks with this brain, who does NOT depend on a pastor to make me feel good or come to a knowledge of God, one who is disgusted at the hijacking of the faith by businessmen, charlatans and false prophets.Read this man's comment very well....and read through every other comment here on this thread. It's quite glaring that the Pastor in question is already guilty in the court of opinion. The truth is....silence in times like this is Golden. If he had said he did it...Forgiveness won't be part of what we will be talking about. If he had said he dint do it.....everyone here would have said That's what he'll say even if he did it. It's a two edged sword and I thought a wise man like this wise sage I quoted above will wait to hear his side or at least let the lady come out with evidence to prove herself. It's easier to fall when you're up than when you're down and in as much as I really hope it's all a lie....i think a siddon look is the least a wise human can do rather carrying in pent up emotions about criminal pastors without addressing the topic on ground. |
looder: And why is it tht d main character(male) in hollywood movies is ALWAYS named jack! Thinking about it?...I'll waitBecause Jack happens to be one of the commonest name in America. Hollywood films are always realistic unless you're talking about Sci Fi because they take time to predict the human response to events. You don't see people smiling when they should be crying or just crying unnecessarily like in Nigeria movies. Steven Seagal holds a belt in a format of taekwando and some of the so called impossible things are done by stunt makers so what you think is impossible at times are just the really crazy things done by the stunt makers. |
Highest selling album of all time is still Michael Jackson's Thriller and I don't need to tell you that it dwarfed the next album by almost close to half and that Album is pink Floyds Dark side of the moon and with grease and bodyguards soundtrack following closely. Don't know where these guy gets off comparing legends to living fantasies. Shakespeare still rates as probably the greatest writer in history and the fact that a man(or woman) sold 9 billion books doesn't mean they've surpassed. Legends are time proven. Give Bieber a few more years before you bring up a candle to MJ for him. That guy got a platinum over 10 years after releasing an album out of nowhere and the fact that he references James Brown et al as his role model doesn't mean he hasn't surpassed them. You'll be surprised at the people that legends like Bono of U2 calls the people that 'shaped ' his career- doesn't mean he hasn't surpassed those peeps...it's just an acknowledgement of their influence in his music. |
And some peeps are still asking what you want to do with these. You can link it with your phone and leave your phone at home to receive messages and calls from it. It has a high definition screen..... you can use it for calendar, your normal phone functions, reminder and you can sync it with all a smartphone. Samsung is planing on releasing it with even a bigger storage device and some sources(online) of course are touting as high as 64gig. Maybe those people that don't know what they'll use it for should wait until it smart wrist watches become a standard 10 or 20 years from now and let's still see if it would make any sense to produce one. Sony, Motorola already have smart watches before now. |
emmaelectelect: Ur argument implies that the FG should have removed all the Bridges it built in Lagos when it was moving to AbujaYoung man....education is as costly as building a rocket and the need to subsidise is a prerogative if the government and not a binding law. Universities expenses vary with states and regions even in the most developed world's so your reasoning isn't fathomable. The price of a school in West London is fat different from one in East London and the standard of living in Lagos is far higher than that in Ebonyi so you'll pay more for most services there. Don't know why people just think all services should come free. They'd rather prefer a government that does nothing and just sits and steals than someone's that's ready to work. That badia wouldn't be the same way it is again in the next 10 years and posterity and our children would thank us for it. The cry of the poor has overtaken the need to do the needful and the lawful by 'Internet ' social crusaders and activists who have done nothing to fight corruption at the highest level but only try to hold down the wheels of progress. |
Virus777: Some people believe it's a paranormal activity, the effect of an evil force (witch, evil spirit) pressing down on you. Some have died while struggling against the force. Medical science calls it sleep paralysis. It happens mostly when you sleep facing up. If it persists, learn to sleep on your sides or on your belly.Wondering how the autopsy showed that some people died while struggling against the force. Sounds like a bar room banter. |
Apparently, you're very daft if you think they 'knowingly' consented to his terms. Which institution would read, accept and issue a card on such terms? Zero interest, unlimited credit and exemption from fines? You're obviously retarded....when you fill an insurance form and you're disqualified on a technicality...the excuse given is that it's written there but you don't bother to read it. A man is sent a copy of an agreement to accept and he sends another one back for the bank to sign which they do without reading it...what else do you want? How can a whole institution accept an online form and sign it without being certain that the terms there are what they can abide with. The knife cuts both ways. The bank clearly issued a card 'on their terms' not knowing they had accidentally confirmed an application on altered terms. This is the bone of contention.
|
Clemzy16: "chai! Dis thread funny dieeee"Battery is an English word and can be used perfectly in that context. ![]() Unless you're saying something else in which case your statement isn't making any sense. |
peppy luv: U are a liar cuz its not limited to any tribe! 4 all we knw ur men are the worse! All the cases of men who killed their wives were yerobaWow.....you can talk. If this world ever becomes fully digital and Big Brother takes over, you'll be so easy to trace. Thanks for the whole story but the moral is... ?Generalisation isn't taking anybody anywhere. |
McLuhan: Is it knowledge of grammar or lack of it that would make Soyinka to call someone's wife, someone's mother, "a mere domestic appendage"? Every human being who was born of a woman should take exception to this insult, should in fact be outraged by this fatuous and gratuitous denigration of womanhood. I am a man but I know that the proud woman who bore me and suffered to make me what I am today is not an appendage to anybody! Nor should that demeaning appellation be used on any other woman. Shame on you, Soyinka! If you were brought into this world by some disesteemed creature of a mother, you shouldn't assume that everyone had a similar parentage.Playing politics with an unbiased mind is quite a difficult things for even the elderly statesmen so simpletons like you taking any side won't really rufflemy feather. Its quite a statement of ignorance & intellectual poverty to refer to the First Lady as somebodys wife & mother....she's a public servant & mustconduct herself as such. Closing down a street for days ven preventing the CEO of the state from moving around....closing down airports all around the country & earmaking 3billion of taxpayers moneyfor a phantom project isn't part of what someones mother should be doing. All the former first ladies took a backstage role & the one who really wanted to work did it ina way that dint affect the husbands image. Women become governors as well as men and you shouldn't put in the sexist angle...A domestic appendage means a domstic appendage. Google the word if you're not sure of the meaning. Ignorance is not an excuse. |
Funjosh: this person forget his medication, this road is a single lane road, also at a junction close to the market with a trafic warden stationed you dont just talk when u very far from a scene phewww.Don't neeed no medication my son.....your comment is noted. Grow up.....all those phewww are beyond your age group, leave those to the ladies |
And here goes the so called "reasonable" comment of the average Nigerian. Dangote should be sued for what please?manslaughter? Murder? Majority of the times.....the bikemen are usually at fault with their death defying & award winning riding but the situation changes when they're hit as everyone starts blaming the richer man in the car. It is painful that a life should be lost so needlessly and that's the what to be expected when the roads are bad and the highway patrols & traffic wardens don't see the need to their work. Dangote has more truck on the road than any individual it shouldn't be strange that is trucks ar involvd in accidents from time to time considering the numbr of accidents that occur daily on our roads. |
omonnakoda: What does any of that have to do with PharmacySuch ignorance. Do pharmacist get any training in handling patients. The work of the pharmacist starts primarily in ur pharmaceutical companies and spills over to the hospital in as much as pertains to dispensing drugs. The squables of pharmacist fighting over control of hospital and all the other paramedics does not come up because they all know there is more money in the pharmacutical companies than the hospital itself. There is no where a pharmacist changes the write up of a patient and your so called 6 months training is all what the doctor needs to have an idea of the drugs he's prescribing. A doctor doesn't claim to have a better idea of pharmacology than a pharmacist but the pharmacotherapy. Nobody gets any training in handling poison. A poisioned patient presents at the hospital to a Doctor not a pharmacist my son. I have the highest respect for a pharmacist cos we're all professional colleagues..... Read up the word paramedics and understand the meaning of the word medical laboratory technologist(called medical lab scientist in Nigeria) All these other disciplines you're clamouring for we're brought up by Doctors to help them...Medical Lab Science dint arise by default....they were initally hospital assistants traind by Doctors to ASSIST. Understand that part & read it about it first before making comments about things you have a half baked idea about. |
Poverty is an important determinant of the level and content of people's reasoning. A poor man is always so particular of called best value for money. This thread is just like comparing a BMW to a Toyota and then spewing thrash about thefact that they both you there...the toyota has better fuel economy and is cheaper to maintain and all. Of course that's true. The BMW is a luxury high end vehicle while the toyota is not a luxurious vehicle. Techno produces low end phone whil samsung has a wide range of phones available for you to buy. It won't be strange to say that almost all of you clamouring for techno are saying that based on your pocket. Thr are hundred of samsung mid priced phones you can get at a far lowr price and you can always buy that if you're interested in the android experience. The screen resolution of those techno phons are crap...battery life is whacked....the camera is worse than a laptops camera....the screen scratches way too easily....samsung ui added lots of ffizy that you might not use though but its always nice knowing you have them and we're not even talking about the hardware yet. It's those little things thatthe rich pay for and the poor always feel its not worth their money becaus they're still poor. Quality and class don't even have a price tag but you can always put a value on medicority |
omonnakoda: You need exposure. All those MUSTS you talk about may be the case in Nigeria the world is very different elsewhwere.I know bottom feeders like you....talking about places he's only dreamed about. Worked in more places than you've thought or even read about in ur entire life. For one thing......the Doctors strike is in Nigria and not the world. Thought you said somthing about being a doctor in one of ur earlier posts but you've obviously taken that back.A hospital where a patient has very little to do with a Doctor is only in ur fantasy. That's why drugs are written as physicians prescription(know of uk at least) Ur ilk could at least give us an idea of what the patients you're refering to went to do in the hospital instead of making generalisd statements. Plus you sound like a child so won't bother replying you. |
omonnakoda: Typical arrogance of the ignorant and unexposed Nigerian doctor. Many people go to Hospital and have nothing to do with doctors; Immunization,Antenatal clinics,Physiotherapy,Speech Therapy,Psychology,Counselling,Occupational therapy the list goes on. Doctors are agitating for the government to pay for their training .Why should government do this ? Do they pay for training for pilots, engineers, accountant?,Bankers lawyers etc. Is there any obligation after the training for the doctors to serve the government ? The answer is a big NO!! The doctors in training NARD are paid salaries which together with on call allowances make them the highest paid government employees. They are the ones that should pay government for their training!!,Lovely post coming from a so called doctor. So you've seen someone going to a hospital that tells you he's going to see his laboratoryscientist or his nurse or even his pharmacist without an antecdent referal from a Medical Doctor. Always keep to reasonable and logical posts. People go to school to learn and not to visit the library cos the primary reason for the library is to support the student to learn what they came to the school to do. Antenatal clinic - patient must see a doctor on thir first clinic and every subsequent clinic visit so i don't get your point. Physiotherapy - a physio room is not a gym room my friend....patientsare refered thre and don't just go there for fun(can't beleive I'm just telling you this) Speech therapy - A stroke patient will definitly be seen by a doctor befor any other(any other form of speech impediment is a multi disciplinary problem) Psychology - and what in the world does that mean? Are you refering to psychiatry(which I'll definitely advice you to see one) or a psychologist? Counseling - thought that's done in schools unless you're refering to the medical ones which is an adjunct to a treatment(No patients will dress up and go the hospital to see a counsellor solely unless you're refering to the counselling for HIV and Cancer groups or seeing a psychiatrist. Occupational therapy - I'm sure the word leaves you as perplexed as it does to me and you probably have no idea of what you typed there so I'll let you be. Th issue of highest paid is where you totally lost me. A resident Doctor is a full working doctor who should be paid what obtains for a fully registered doctor. he is as well paid here as in USA or UK or Ghana Or India or anywhere you go to in the world with Nigeria being one of the few countries where peanut is being paid to a fully qualified proffesional all in the name of "they're still learning". Think you should read more about the proffession you "claim" to be a member of(though I highly doubt that you are a Med Doc) before you post such arrant and misleading comment in a forum where the informed and the uninformed like you visits alike. |
Does anyone have an idea of who sang this song please...its in Yoruba Bi ose se oju yen fara fara iro leri yen...iro leri yen sharasha ole seni lese(meaning....the way she's doing her eyes somehow is all a lie...its a lie & she can wound someone) Would appreciate if anyone knows the name of the artiste. NB - forgive my writtn yoruba if its not accurate. |
Ur Profile makes it easy for me to locate u! Looking at ur post & profile pic, I only but laff!! You need to feed boi!! Imagine d id1iot beating me mercilessly, chai! aV suffered!!...cus of d stupidity of u & ur fellow alumni's even the NANS President & 3 others died on their way to handle the outburst u guys started cus of ₦200..that is totalling casuality figure to 10 people already!! Not talkin bout those injured!! From yesterday night up on today 10 souls gone & u're talking rubbish!! Useless person!! Encouraging violence when u're probably in ur father's room typing trash!! u just hold ur phone & issue threats to people (well dat's why it's called Nairaland! U baastard!!!!! )...
Don't understand this Dude Ouch Daddys reasoning......talks like an underage sometimes & then just zooms right ahead & starts acting like his brain is on reverse. He's making everyone on this thread feel like they're rocket scientist. He completely skipped the part where the police shot 3 students & just moved to the part where the students blocked a major road and sorts. We were all students once and while it has been proven over and over again that unruly disruptions & uncontrolled protests always result in wanton destruction of properties that the studnts will still end up paying for.......Killing of students by the so called law keepers is an even worse and I would have thought that voices would be united in condemning that but then.....foolishnes and ineptitude have always abounded on such faceless forum as this where a man who can not even control his nuclear family would open a web page and drop incendiary comments on a topic he can't even explain if his life depends on it . I don't expect any response from you please. |
jjagz: 200 times 5 equals 1000 every other week. In a say 15 semester week datz 15k only on transport. U might not get it but not every one is dat financially bouyant.dont worry about that ouch daddy or whatever he calls his handle here......hes not that financially bouyant. He has exceeded his dreams and aspirations for his life of course with a 100k monthly job thats why he's opening his mouth to compare a life to 200 naira as if the logical conclusion of any protest must be bloodshed |
LaFFs, mr chocboy! I expected u as an ex-student to be more matured & talk with ur alumni on why u feel this doesn't Justify the death of 3students already!! & about ur question, biko, what does it take to spend ₦200 daily in nIgeria?? & it's not as if d students hv classes everyday ni o..! Some got classes 3-times in a week or so....! In this Age (2013), ₦200 is too too too small to take/claim d lives of 3 students & destroy properties in the school cus of it's transport fares...! It's not as if it's a Levy imposed daily on the students, such as we see in Lekki toll! (As an Alumni, u're supposed 2 wave this poverty-mentality out sire) it's for their own transportation, if any1 felt it's too expensive, it's simple =TREK early to classes!! Why burn ur properties worth millions & billions of naira, injure urselves & resultant killings of 3 just for ₦200 It's totally WRONG!!
reading through your posts makes somethings blatantly clear....1. You'e not as rich as you're putting yourself out to be 2. Your sense of logical reasoning is flawed. 3. Someone like you probably did not go to school and has spent the better part of his life 'sucking up'to the ones up there. Students will always be student and the moral fibre of any community is built right from the youth. An increase of 10naira if not properly communicated is worth protesting for......its a Federal Univ forcrying out loud. No one is against increasing transport fare (if need be) and the students have the right to protest(if they feel aggreived) but the big qustion should be - WHY SHOULD THE POLICE USE LIVE AMMUNITION AGAINST STUDENTS? Thought you'd be asking such rational question instead of ranting on private universities and the value of #200. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: do you know what full dose of concentrated mercury do to your bloodstream ? Esp at this young age? What's there to explain? Have you ever googled the contents of flu vaccine before? is flu vaccine a part of your regular immunization schedule? Why not Google it and read about it before making comments. Google Asian flu or Spanish flu. The most recent Swine flu in 2009 took over 18,000 people and you are still talking about the vaccine. When next they bring the vaccines....tell your children not to use it but don't mislead the populace please |
Acidosis: Shut up.... pls |
Don't understand why you are flying off your handles.....someone made a practically reasonable and truthful comment and you are talking about variants of 2004 Honda Accord. The 7 spoke is exclusively for the V6 models and the double exhaust also signifies a V6 while the engine you snapped there is a 2.4 DOHC I4 engine of a four plug car model. and don't even bother calling it a hybrid cos their first accord hybrid wasn't until 2005. Put the real car engine there or snap the real car body. Don't bother trying to explain this away......I'm not a dealer please |
maclatunji: You do harbour at very least within your heart. This thread and similar ones expose that. However, to make better judgements in life, you need to avoid the hype and study people and concepts independently. If you are going to be making public pronouncements on Islam, the least you can do is study it from knowledgeable Muslims and hate activists. You sound like a reasonable fellow....though that's questionable at times but you take things to another level. You're referring people to a website to search for knowledge when the best way to study things is to look at the people practicing it. I don't understand why people keep posting renaissance events in 2013 to explain why they think christians are barbaric. Let's get real.....mention any group that killed or attacked people because they were not members of their religious group and see how easily Islam comes into mind. The Englis Cardinal had to resign because of 'accusations' in the early 80's. A Minister in a run down country was busy placing fatwa on a film makers head and sanctioning a hit like it was a regular thing. The problem everyone has with the violence is the fact that every carnage always stands and ends with the religious undertone. Thought you'd refer us to a Muslim community that is peaceful and not your own 'favourite website' so that we can all end up like you |
maclatunji: I have actually seen a Yoruba lead prayers in the North and know of a Yoruba man who is Governor in the North. Tell me something else.Sorry then. All is well in the North. Spent 3 years in Bauchi and had a friend who was the President of Muslim Medical Practitioner in the State who also happens to be a Yoruba. He told me that the only place they'll ever allow a Muslim to lead a prayer is probably in a Corpers lodge and that is the general talk among those who have actually LIVED there and I'm not talking about those that travelled there. The Muslim leader in the Corpers lodge in Azare was killed in the election violence in Bauchi just after prayers and the only thing they said was that he's a Yoruba Muslim and not a real Muslim. Maybe you should get around a little. The only real lesson to learn from the topic is the need to imbibe the virtue of peace and demonstrate it accordingly. Walk out when you can't stomach it....not kill the person. |
The comments generated by this post is still a source of concern for me. There's a man in our team that we don't like due to his religious or political or racial affliation and he scores a goal that we just don't appreciate and we register our displeasure by WALKING OUT. We could have chanted a war song and burn down some embassies....we could have assasinated his countrys' ambassador....we could chant the name of our Almighty God and disrupt the whole football game(Egypt comes to mind)...but we decide to walk away peacefully and forfeit the gate fee. That's what I call peaceful existence. The mere fact that I know things won't get violent because I take a breath in ur land. The illusion of a 'one world' things should have been outgrown by the majority of us....religion, race, wealth and even baseless things as occupation seperates and divides us. Even Yoruba Muslims and hausa muslims still have their rancor(ask if a Yoruba muslim can ever lead the mosque prayer in the north). But the absence of violence should be the commendable part. I'm certain Zamfara bombers would definitely not want a christian striker in their team. We all need to love ourselves more. |
