I don't know if I'd run away but I wouldn't go through with the marriage.

I personally don't have a problem dating African American men. I've never dated any though; mostly Central American, Caribbean, and West African guys.

I would just go ahead and do the HIV test. I understand that the relationship isn't serious yet, but I'm pretty sure that you guys are at some point going to have sex and when you do, wouldn't you want to do it knowing you guys are on the same page? She's just trying to protect herself.

Well, you [or whoever the person may be] needs to make a decision that is good for themselves. If I married a man I didn't know, love, or care about just because my parents wanted me to, what kind of marriage would I besetting myself up for? I could never live my life knowing that the person that I'm supposedly going to be with "forever" isn't someone that I love or care about.

@poster
bro, she was honest enough to tell you that you were not strong enough to handle such lady. pls quietly leave her alone unless you want to end up looking silly.
now that she has told you that, there is absolutely NO WAY you should continue pursuing her because she could ask you the most stupidest thing and, if you cant provide, she will make a mockery out of you.

poster: baby its your birthday soon, what would you like?!
damsel:  hhmm i think i would like a brand new Jeep for sundays at the beach.
poster: are you out of your mind?! i am already trying my best to satisfy you but you're always asking for more. take am easy.
damsel: foolish man, i told you before you couldnt handle me but you wouldnt listen. . . . .  now shut up, be a man and step up your game or let me go and find some REAL men to date!"
LOL LOL LOL

@poster: Did this friend of your ever tell you that she wanted to get married or do you think you're just doing her a favor?
Romance › Re: Is It Right To Date Someone You Have Never Met Before by InkedNerd(f): 12:52am On Aug 27, 2010
I don't really think its a matter of whether its right or wrong or whether you know the person or not. I mean, if you being forced into the relationship [or whatever it is], then that is wrong. But if you're not being forced into a relationship and you know that there's someone that you parents want you to marry are you're ok with it then I don't see anything wrong with it. I have a friend who's parents already has a girl that they wanted him to marry and both the boy and the girl were ok with the idea. In my opinion, as long as the people involved in the matter are ok with the arrangements of things, then I see nothing wrong with it.

This is my first post on this section of the forum and I know this is long, so please bare with me  embarassed
This a joke I saw online years ago when I was about 12 or 13 yrs old

Letter from Grandma:

The other day I went up to a local Christian bookstore and saw a honk if you love Jesus bumper sticker.
I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance, followed by a thunderous prayer meeting, so I bought the sticker and put in on my bumper. I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in thought about the Lord and how good He is and I didn't notice that the light had changed. It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn't honked, I'd never have noticed. I found that LOTS of people love Jesus. Why, while I was sitting there, the guy behind started honking like crazy, and when he leaned out of his window and screamed, "for the love of God, GO! GO!" What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus. Everyone started honking! I just leaned out of my window and started waving and smiling at all these loving people. I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love. There must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him yelling something about a sunny beach, I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck up in the air. When I asked my teenage grandson in the back seat what that meant, he said that it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something. Well, I've never met anyone from Hawaii, so I leaned out the window and gave him the good luck sign back. My grandson burst out laughing, why even he was enjoying this religious experience. A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and started walking towards me. I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but this is when I noticed the light had changed. So, I waved to all my sisters and brothers grinning, and drove on through the intersection.
I noticed I was the only car that got through the intersection before the light changed again and I felt kind of sad that I had to leave them after all the love we had shared, so I slowed the car down, leaned out of the window and gave them all the Hawaiian good luck sign one last time as I drove away.
Praise the Lord for such wonderful folks!
