@OP: I think you should just go for it. There's only one way to know and that's if you give it a try. Ya never know, things might actually work out. Besides, there are many people all over the world who are of different cultural and religious backgrounds and they make it work. Please don't let something like religion ruin what you and that girl have. Just give it a go. |

bvc:Exceptions my foot!!! Why is it not ok for her to sleep around? If she wants to have casual sex with someone and is being safe about it then why is that such an issue? He [the cheating boyfriend] isn't obligated to know anything that takes place prior to them dating or getting back together. Most likely he wouldn't be begging if he had know she was with other men but I'm quite sure had it been the other way around, he would have left her a long time ago and on top of all of that, the ONLY reason the subject of begging has come into this is because he was found out. Had his girlfriend not found out I'm pretty sure he'd still be gallivanting. All in all, if the guy should be upset or mad at someone it is himself because had his foolish action not occurred, then they'd still be together. deniyor:Yes, I know cheating is disrespectful but he brought it all on himself. I acknowledge that she may have reacted because of what he said but all in all he has no reason to be upset here. Now suppose she has no intentions on getting back at him and just changed her mind last minute? I get what you're saying that you would like to know what you're getting yourself, but you worded it in a manner that made it seem like she had to tell him. If he asked her I could understand if she came clean about the whole thing but if you're saying that coming cleaning is a must for her then I don't agree. bvc:I was answering your questing but deniyor replied before I could hit the 'reply' button ![]() BodyKiss:That is complete and utter bullshit. If you're dippin' it and doin' it with someone else without the knowledge of your partner then its CHEATING!!! deniyor:Deniyor, would you mind if you and I spoke outside of Nairaland? |
deniyor:Tell him about her escapades?!?! She's not obligated to tell him damn thing!!! It's her life, her sex life NOT his. Whether or not she knew she was gonna take him back is irrelevant, it is still her life so unless the guy has some invisible leash around her neck that I don't know about, I don't see why it should matter. |
Flashaldrin:Good answer ![]() |
bvc:It's not a girl or guy thing, its a human thing. What you described is no different from what some men do when they find out that their partners have cheated on them. |
bvc:Hmmm, guys go around Being Intimate just as the girl does. As far as I'm concerned, the guy deserves anything he gets from her or the OTHER girl he cheated on her with. I don't even like the idea of people taking someone back after they've been cheated on. Lemme share something with you I cam across Facebook since we're talking about cheating partners, "Cheaters always say it was an accident, and that they're sorry. But that's not entirely correct. Temptation is normal, and is all around ALL of us. It's how you "respond" to temptation that defines you. That's why those that "choose" to have affairs [usually] shouldn't be given a second chance. By betraying, they have defined who they are, and in that action they showed their complete lack of respect for the other person and themselves." sexkillz:I hate the ending too but not because she didn't get HIV. The guy fṳcked up, not her. What she chooses to do with her body while not dating him shouldn't be a concern of his or anyone else's for that matter. |
sexkillz:Over shagged? Who's body is it, yours or her own? She's free to do as she pleases. The guy fṳcked up, not her. If he decided to be an aṡṡ and realized what he had when it was too late then that is his fault. |
sexkillz:Why? Were you one of the men she slept with? ![]() |
Advocator:Sorry but I'm gonna have to go with Ohio on this one ![]() |
@OP: I have a series of places. If/when I get married, I would LOVE for my partner and I to travel to various destinations on each continent. |
Advocator:What kind of options are those. I can't marry someone just because they have money or are handsome ![]() PureOhio:Ask am o!!! |
@OP: It depends--which one is kindhearted and intelligent? |
@OP: As long as the guy is above 6'0" then I'm good. |
@OP: Hmmm, I wanna say I don't have a limit but I kinda do. My limit is a bit open minded compared to some people I know who are my own age. I generally like older guys so I wouldn't mind dating someone was perhaps 5 to 35 years old than me. I've been hit on by older gentlemen so it's not really an issue for me. I don't mind dating someone younger than me either just as long as they're legally an adult. |
Ojukwu my fellow Igbo, may you rest in peace For the record, I take back all comments of bitterness I made in the past towards Ojukwu. It was based on a sense of personal sadness towards the Biafra war |
firestar:lol, its funny that you mention that because I never mentioned it to her till I saw this thread. She laugh when I told her though. Another thing is that the friend who was going on and on about mu mom, she has high cheekbones as well. The only thing is, she has a small face. It looks lovely on her though. |
Thanks I guess so too, I saw all ORS products (in the biggest supermarket here) but I didn't see their extra virgin olive oil or the coconut oil they had all ORS products except those, I had already made a list of things to buy so i didn't take notice of other products, and that's why i didn't buy the ors conditioner and shampoo cos i wanted to buy creme of nature shampoo and conditioner. i was just searching for those one's, the few i took notice of were not good, I saw only one olive oil it was something Africa i can't remember but i know there's an Africa, I finally bought a moisturiser ''holly wood olive cream'' and '' ors hair mayo'' << its a protein conditioner so i wanted to ask if its okay if i use it as my normal hair conditioner or is it going to be like taking panadol when i don't have head ache? cos they said its to stop breakage and all that. I asked my bf to help me get the oils, shampoo and conditioner he's in PH so i'm hoping he will find it there, but if he doesn't God forbid, I will go for the ors condi and shampoo so i want to know if it works, sorry for the boring write up lolz
Well, hopefully your boyfriend will find the products for you. And you're not boring me. I just hope all works out well for you. |
firestar:Yeah, I've seen some girls like that before--even guys but this one girl really stood out. The thing about her though is she didn't really think she was beautiful. I was once on the bus with my mom one morning and one of my friends got on the buss on the following stop. When she got on, she greeted me and saw my mom for the first time and asked if the woman with me was my mom. I said yes and she started talking to my mom. It wasn't till I we got to school and she started going on and on to one of the teachers about my mom being beautiful and having high cheekbones. I laughed like crazy because I never really thought anything of my mom's high cheekbones. I don't think I ever really paid attention to my mother having high cheekbones because to me it just seemed like nothing ![]() |
Hmmm, so OP you admit that you men put unnecessary pressure on women to look a certain way since you say this is our way of getting back at you guys? Better yet, are you one of those people who are out of shape? |
You know, although a lot of models have high cheek bones, most don't. Has anyone ever noticed that Tyra Banks always looks like she has high cheekbones when in reality, she doesn't. I noticed it once while I was watching tv--her cheekbones looked a bit different from the way I'd always remembered seeing it. Then one day, I was watching her show and I noticed that she mentioned that she didn't actually have high cheekbones and that it was just the make up she wears that gives people the illusion that she has high cheekbones. One of the most beautiful girls I saw once had high cheekbones and dimples. |
thanks ink, i see a lot of hair products but those are not what i want its either the contain sulphate or pretrolatum and all that, the thing is i stay in Bayelsa so some things are quite difficult to find here. what i want to buy Is creme hair shampoo and conditioner, along side with extra virgin olive oil and coconut oil, I have not been able to find them I will try out other supermarkets but the one's i've checked, the stuffs are not there and hey i need names of affordable good hair moisturisers, i haven't settled on what moisturiser to use cos i'm confused so mind putting me theough on what moisturiser i should try?
Hmmm Natasha, I can think of lots of products for you to use in your hair but the problem is that I doubt be able to find them in Bayelsa ![]() All I can really tell you is to get some shea butter and make some whipped shea pudding for your hair. I could give you come recipes if you want. I really do wish some of the products I had in mind were available in Nigeria. What kind of oils have you seen or been able to find in stores? |
Smh, in as much as I dislike the song I really do think we're all better than this ![]() |
blank:Sure, I cut my hair back in November but I can show you before and after shots of what it looks like. My hair routine is pretty basic. I rinse my hair everyday with water both morning and night, I wash my hair usually once a week--preferably Sundays, then I moisturize it. When I apply products to my hair, I apply it to my hair while my hair is still damp, that way as my hair air dries, it absorbs a lot of the product. When I wanna wash my hair, I let water run through my hair for about 5-10 minutes to loosen up the dirt that may be there. After letting the water run through my hair, I apply black soap, Terressentials Cool Mint Pure Earth Hair Wash, or any other natural cleanser of my choosing to my hair and use my fingers to massage it through my scalp. After washing my hair, I normally don't use conditioner but lately I've been experimenting with a conditioner called Earthly Delights Hair Conditioner. I doubt I'll be buying it again though. When I'm done washing, I apply some raw/unrefined shea butter, oil, flax seed gel, aloe vera gel, or some Shea Moisture Organic Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Hair Masque. I pretty much try to keep my routine basic and as natural as possible. For the most part, the main products I use are water, raw/unrefined shea butter, and oil. Are you natural as well? |
^thanks for the info and I know its gonna be hard work to start from the scratch lolz. I stay in Bayelsa so getting all this is very difficult I have gone to so many supermarkets today and I couldn't find any of these stuff even the oils, what conditioner, shampoo and moisturiser do you think i should get cos i don't know any good one lolz
You know, you can make your own hair products with basic things around the house if you can't find some items in store. There's a natural hair woman in Nigeria who sells natural and organic products. Perhaps you could check out her blog >>> http://thekinkyapothecary..com/ Just curious, but what sort of products do you see in the supermarkets when you go grocery shopping? That'll give us an idea on how we can help you. |
easyon:Fake?!?! What concern of theirs if the hair you wanna use is fake?!?! ![]() A lot of them are just plain stupid. I read a hair article about a month ago and as it turns out, some of those supposed "real"/"100%" weaves actually have some synthetic hair pieces added to it. Because majority of it is may be human, they just group it together and call it "100%". Some people have some nerve!! It's a good thing I have friends who do hair and are professionals. Although I don't relax my hair, I still hate it when people provide a bad service towards paying customers ![]() |
Isoko man:Personally, I don't look down on it like others do. Clearly some people just don't know what they're doing ![]() I dream of the day where Nigerians hairdressers will be more professional and knowledgeable is this line of work ![]() |
Ummm, how aboutyou give it a shot and lemme know how it goes? Hehehehe ![]() |
I have yet to experience this in Nigeria but I have heard of this happening to many women when they go back to Nigeria. What annoys me about some Nigerian hairdressers is when they see a woman with natural hair and they tell her that they won't be able to braid the woman's hair unless its relaxed. Things like that really irk me because first of all, you shouldn't be perming/relaxing hair that has just been relaxed/permed. Second, were we as Africans not braiding our hair before relaxers were invented? And third, how the hell can you call yourself a hairdresser when you don't know proper techniques to care for hair? In my opinion, as a hairdresser you need to be well rounded regardless of the type of hair you deal with. There is a very famous hairdresser here in the US who I was watching on tv once and I noticed that the hairdresser would get on people's cases for not knowing certain hair techniques when she herself could do a simple cornrow. Another thing that got to me once was when I went to a salon and the hairstylist/salon owner asked me what kind of haircut I wanted and I said I wanted something that fits my face shape and the woman looked me in the eye and scolded me for saying that I wanted something that suited my face. What kind of hairstylist doesn't know that there are certain styles that just don't fit certain people?!? ![]() All in all, I can't really say I've had a "bad" experience per se. Most of the experiences have been good except for one annoying moment that occurred when I decided to go to the Dominican salon near my house. Although they were very professional, clean, and hospitable, I could hear them speaking in Spanish about the texture of my hair ![]() tlo:What's wrong with using shea butter in your hair? ![]() |
TheBBF:Thanks ![]() stillwater:You could try using Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Hold & Shine Moisture Mist.
|
pendo89:Yupp, I'm so happy Youtube exists. |
sexkillz:Hehehe, you wanna go on a date too? ![]() |
