Am a civil Engineering graduate 2:1, am thinking of going for my postgraduate studies abroad, US/Canada preferably.
i don't want to specialize this early in my career 'cuz i'll b restricted to certain areas. Am thinking of doing Geotechnical Engineering M.Eng. Is dis a good choice in the sense that i want to be eligible for oil and gas jobs, or should i do masters in a petroleum related field. i don't want to do the later 'cuz i don't have much basic background in petroleum.
Any ideas on top schools for masters in Geotechnical Engineering that have good graduate recruitment rate by employers, oil and gas companies to be precise. Thanks.

First of all,@poster,you said you are in delta,right?  ȋ̝̊̅'ve used MTN here for M̶̲̥̅Ɣ BIS and it's not Ǧ☺☺ϑ,the only thing you'll see is EDGE not 3G,which sucks 'cuz you can't watch or stream videos online and their network is very slow. Glo ,on the other hand is the best network in delta right noww'cuz they have Ǧ☺☺ϑ network everywhere,even across the river whenever am @work on the river. 3G all the time and ȋ̝̊̅ can stream videos online @you tube,FB etc. Etisalat does not have a Ǧ☺☺ϑ network here either and ȋ̝̊̅ don't know jack 'bout airtel. So,in delta use Glo,'cuz they are better than others but they are Ǧ☺☺ϑ in the nigerian context not supa fast.
