Hello house,

I am a bit confused with an issue in my application. I have been working from home for a company since February this year and it's an unpaid job. I don't know the document to submit as evidence of this activity, as the company has agreed to provide an official letter for my application.

Should I request for a recommendation letter, employment letter or reference letter? I don't know if an employment letter is suitable in this case as I won't be submitting any pay slips or ID cards for this job, I have that for the previous employers.

Please I need your help. Thanks

Hello Insanity,

Its advisable not to create a notion of being unemployed or having a gap between work in your application. Include your previous employment documents and if possible get a reference letter. Then look for a means to participate or volunteer in any aspect then get a certifipate of participation to cover the lost working period. In all you do, endeavour to show employment/work consistency.

All the best

Thanks a lot for your assistance. I can get a reference letter for an unpaid work I've been doing for a few weeks now, I will include that in my application.

Hello Insanity,

Most applicants tending to migrate through the EE route only familiarize themselves with the Federal Skill Worker Program which the CRS keeps increasing. However, its also advised that Nigerian applicants (mostly) should start familiarizing themselves with and exploring the Provincial Nominee Programs especially when the CRS is low. After the draw, applicants with a low CRS who also looked to the way of the PNP may succeed by getting nominated or by been able to secure an employer (which is not easy though because the NOC type must be what the provincr you are applying to requires) which by that gives the applicant an automatic 600 points plus the already had score which exceeds the required CRS for both the FSWP and PNP. Also keep in mind that the requirements for the PNP varies in each provinces. Let me put a stop here.

Answering your questions:

1. If you do not want to explore the PNP route, then with your low CRS, it will be better if your withdraw your application before putting in a new application for your SP. We all know dual intent is allowed and recognized by IRCC and the VOs themselves which applicants have been guaranteed that it won't pose no harm to their TRV application. But however, the VOs act upon their discretion and not to be trusted at any time until the stamped passport has been retrieved and safely in your possession. Since you are still in the pool and with low CRS and with your WHOLEHEART now diverted to the SP route, you may consider withdrawing before applying for your TRV.

2. If they have other means of identification i.e. Nimc, International Passport, Driver's License or other government recognized and valid documents that clearly state their personal bio-data can be used as substitute. If you have your current employment letter and other documents that shows any work experience, you are good to go. In the other hand prior to when the lockdown has been lifted HOPEFULLY in May, you can send them through the CSE or email.

3. No, it won't affect your application. For now, worry less about which account your funds is breathing through.

All the best.

Thanks a lot for your comments.

I am on, if not all, the PNPs out there, that's for those that my occupation is in-demand. It's really not easy, I've expressed interest in SASK, NOVA, PEI, Quebec etc. In Alberta, my occupation is not eligible for their notification. Manitoba, I don't have a connection there. I'm NOC 2131, If you have any info you can update me please.

For SP application, I might need to start with what I have, I am just worried if they don't call off this lockdown then my application might be denied. Some of my home tie documents such as personal property documents are still pending due to this lockdown.

My previous employments are my only employment as I am currently unemployed, so it's quite dicey. Though, I have the reference letters I got from my previous employments for my Express Entry profile but they are not updated to when I stopped working, so it might look like I am still working, which I don't want to do.

Thanks a lot for you assistance on this. I may wait till next month to see if the lockdown is called off before I start my application. I just hope not to be too late by then, the waiting period is quite long.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Insanity(m): 1:34pm On Apr 19, 2020
Hello all,

Please I have a few questions for my Visa application:

1. I have an active Express Entry profile on CIC website, my point is too low so I have not received any ITA. Should I withdraw this Express Entey application before I start my TRV application? I don't want it to complicate my TRV application and I don't see the Expree Entry draw getting that low ever again.

2. Due to this lockdown, I have some outstanding documents I don't have in hand for my application, like parent's birth certificate and evidence of previous employment, can I start the application without these documents? I'm really worried as time is moving so fast and my enrollment for fall 2020 is in 5 months and I have not applied for TRV yet.

3. I read in this thread that POF should be in Current Account and not in Savings Account due to international withdrawal restrictions on Savings Accounts. Please, will my POF in Savings Account affect my TRV aaplication negatively?

Thanks. I will also include the finance. I was thinking the home ties will speak for itself. I have a thriving business I run and which I am going to submit the financials for. I am also not applying with any other member of my family. Leaving behind my family and business should count as sufficient home tie. I don’t know how it will look making a direct reference to it in the SOP.

Okay, it looks good. I have to include it in my own to explain my ties.

What of Finance and Home ties? You don't want to include those? I want to include them in mine.

Canada clarifies who is affected by coronavirus travel ban

Details on who will be allowed into Canada amid COVID-19 travel ban have been released
March 19, 2020 By Kareem El-Assal And Shelby Thevenot

Canada has issued a new official statement to define the terms of the travel ban first announced on Monday, March 16 to help limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The ban, which started on March 18 at 12 p.m. EDT, is in effect until June 30, 2020 at 12 p.m. EDT, according to the government statement.

Initially, officials said the ban applied to all foreign nationals, but excluded Canadian citizens and permanent residents, immediate family members of Canadian citizens, as well as aircrews, diplomats, and U.S. citizens. The exception for U.S. citizens was amended on Wednesday to stop non-essential travel across the border.

However, the new statement issued by the Canadian government today confirms that immediate family members of permanent residents are also excluded from the ban, meaning they are still able to travel to Canada.

Find out if you are eligible for any Canadian immigration programs

Who is allowed to come to Canada
Besides Canadians, permanent residents and their families, Canada will allow certain people to be exempt from the travel ban.

The government’s website outlines 16 scenarios that would allow a person to enter Canada, including the following exemptions which pertain to permanent and temporary residents:

immediate family members of Canadian citizens or permanent residents, immediate family members include spouses, common-law partners, dependent children of either the resident or their partner, and grandchildren of citizens and permanent residents;
people who have been authorized, in writing, by a consular officer of the Government of Canada to enter the country for the purpose of reuniting immediate family members;
people who have only been in Canada or the U.S. during the 14 day period before arriving in Canada;
people who are considered “protected persons” where their refugee protection has been conferred and they have not had their claims or applications subsequently deemed to be rejected;
people who will provide an “essential service” while in Canada; and
people whose presence in Canada is in the national interest according to the opinion of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration or the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness.
Ongoing uncertainty regarding study and work permit holders
There is conflicting information on the status of valid study and work permit holders who are currently outside of Canada and the U.S.

Public remarks made by Canada’s Public Safety Minister Bill Blair on Wednesday, March 18 were cited as evidence that such individuals would be eligible to return to Canada.

However, recent federal government statements obtained by CIC News via email provide more nuance.

A federal government statement on March 19 reads:

Air Carriers

To confirm, a travel ban has been implemented through an order under the Aeronautics Act which requires air carriers operating flights to Canada to deny boarding to any passenger who is not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (or an immediate family member). The measure came into force on Wednesday, March 18, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) EDT, and applies to travellers arriving by air.

For clarity, what this means is that international students and workers who are outside of Canada and the United States will not be permitted to board an aircraft to return to Canada, unless they are the spouse, common-law partner or dependent child of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.”

This statement suggests that study or work permit holders outside of Canada and the U.S. who are not the immediate family member of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident are forbidden from returning to Canada for the time being.

On the other hand, study and work permit holders currently in the U.S., who have not travelled to any other country may be eligible to return to Canada as long as the travel is deemed to be “essential”. The government has yet to define “essential” travel.

Government discourages “flagpoling”
“Flagpoling” is a term given to individuals who are currently in Canada who travel to the U.S. border in order to get their Canadian immigration status updated. It is a common method used by individuals to renew their study or work permits or to activate their permanent residence status.

The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) released a new statement on its website today that travelling to the U.S. border for immigration services is currently defined as non-essential travel and CBSA requests that such individuals do not travel to the border until further notice. Rather, temporary residents who are looking to extend their stay in Canada as students, workers, or visitors can apply to do so on the website of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

CIC News will continue to update this story as more information becomes available to help clarify issues such as the status of study and work permit holders outside of Canada and the U.S. at the moment.

With 6 years experience, you are better off applying for 190 or 491 than student visa. Also note that 189 is not the only skilled visa #myopinion

Thanks a lot for your advice.
I am considering that option too, started the CDR for my skills assessment. But, based on my profile, do I have a chance for student visa application?
Travel / Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Insanity(m): 11:36am On Mar 05, 2020
Hello house,

I am new in this Aussie forum and I wish to get some information before I start.
I am a Civil Engineer graduate with 6 years experience, I want to apply for Masters in any of the AL1 schools, i have checked the PR route but my points is 60, I didn't make the cutoff for 189. I graduated with 2.1 for my undergrad. and I will be writing my Pearson in a few weeks time because I have only IELTS general test at the moment which I think won't be accepted.

My questions are;
1. How much do I need in my account for the visa application?
2. Do I need Statement of account to apply to AL1 schools?
3. Can I use UKEAS for my application, as they are free? How good are they in the admission application? Any personal review from anyone that has used them before?
4. I have 14million in my account and I will be sponsoring myself, is this amount enough for the admission and visa application checks?
5. Any engineering masters program in the AL1 schools for November 2020 entry? I think I'm late for July admissions.

Please, help me out with any other information I don't have.

Thanks a lot for your assistance

OP

What I am telling you is from personal experience. You can send a PM to me if you don't understand me here as am typing with my phone.

1. Its not spiritual
2. You started masturbating at a young age when your brain is still sensitive to sexual feelings.
3. I was in your shoes around october 2015, exactly like yours, addicted to masturbation.

Even though I have sex frequently, I still masturbate cause of the addiction. When the problem started, no hard ons, I thought I have gone impotent. I was so scared and thought of suicide several times. I started researching online about this issue till I stumbled upon "yourbrainonporn.com".

I read several cases and comments from a global community of people going through the exact same problem I was going through, same with what you have now. I got to know the dangers of pornography, porn, blue film or whatever you call it. I went on cold turkey, I deleted all my porn videos, web bookmarks, it was so hard. I stopped porn and masturbation for 30 days as I read online, by February 2016, my problem continued. I panicked, and got so scared. Thats one of the darkest days of my life. Why is my own case different, every other peerson got cured in 30 days.

Well, I researched further and read more case files, I found so many other cases that exceeded 30 days, mostly people that started masturbation in their teenage age, 5-20years. Then I knew my own case will be same, some went for 1year and several months, no porn, no masturbation, and weeks of depression.

My own case was for a year. I stopped porn and masturbation entirely, and will never ever do that. I deleted my instagram app, tinder app, facebook, Twitter app on my phone. You will learn more about yourself during this period. Very bad days, believe me, I was alone in the midst of people, depressed and suicidal, but I knew it was just a matter of time. I always had girls around me, made friends with girls just for the fun not the sex, I slowly started integrating girls into my therapy. Yeah, I called it therapy, LOL.

We play and massage each other, have fun you know. I tried not to think if I had any erection. To cut long story short, I have morning wood now every morning like am 17 again.

Just type "your brain on porn" right now on your google search.

Begin your therapy today, be prepared, it might take more than 1 year or less than 4 months.
Reading the stories and comments will help with the depression and suicide thoughts. You will see and interact with people going through a lot more than you. Believe me, alot more more than you. Those Americans are crazy.

Believe it or not, this is the first time am shearing this experience with anyone, but I decided to spread the message anyway I can.
Please, when you get cured, spread the message too. PORN IS BAD. PORNOGRAPHY IS BAD. IT WHACKS YOUR BRAIN.
Smile, you're not alone.

Start your therapy and cold turkey today. Google "your brain on porn" NOW.

PM me so I can email you. If you ever feel suicidal, remember you're not alone.

HAVE A NICE SUNDAY.

Thank you for your request. This 2005 C320 4Matic will cost 2.3M naira from Baltimore to Lagos port of entry. The price does not include clearing which I estimate to be an additional 400k.

This would then put total cost at 2.7M Naira - if clearing estimate is accurate.

Should I hold it down for you?

Very clean car but I will pass. I can get it cheaper down here. Thanks alot for ya time.
