Please, open your hearts to these teachings. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. God bless you!! |
Many Christians are yet to have an appropriate knowledge about the Rapture and The Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and there are some Christians who are even thinking they are the same. First of all, we need to know that The Rapture and The Second Coming are two different events that will happen at different times. The Rapture (from the Latin verb 'rapere', which means 'to transport from one place to another') is the catching up of all believers for a glorious meeting with Christ in the air. "Behold I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed - in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality." (1 Corinthians 15:51-53). Also see 1 Thessalonians chapter 4: 15-17 So, The Rapture comes first, and is an event whereby the Lord Jesus comes for His Saints (dead and living), and we shall meet Him in the air. The Saints are those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives and are living in holiness. The Saints are those that are living a CONSISTENT holy and godly lifestyle, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. They are the ones who will be transformed to meet Jesus in the air, while unbelievers and lukewarm Christians will be left behind. Now, after the rapture, the Saints will proceed into the sky to participate in the marriage feast of the Lamb, where rewards would be given to everyone present according to his/her deeds on earth. What Happens To Those Left Behind? Immediately after the rapture, the Great Tribulation will begin, and the Antichrist will be given power to torment those left behind. The Antichrist will force people to receive the mark of the beast (666) either on their forehead or arm. Those that won't receive it would be vehemently tormented: They won't be able to buy and sell, they will suffer violent persecutions with no one to help. And according to the graphic illustration given by the Lord Jesus about the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:15-28), many won't be able to withstand the torments for long (that is, they can't help but to receive the mark of the beast) BUT: THOSE THAT WILL RECEIVE THE MARK OF THE BEAST WILL BE ETERNALLY DAMNED IN THE LAKE OF FIRE AT THE APPOINTED TIME. Don't forget that while the tribulation is taking place on earth, the Saints that have been raptured are with Jesus Christ in the sky enjoying the marriage supper as well as their rewards. THEN: At the end of the marriage supper in the sky and the Tribulation on earth, THE SECOND COMING will take place. The Second Coming is the public revelation of Jesus Christ, when He comes WITH HIS SAINTS (those who have been previously raptured and have participated in the marriage supper in the sky) to set up the Millennium (see 1 Thessalonians 3:13 and Matthew 24: 29-31) Here, those who have suffered just because they won't take the mark of the beast during the Great Tribulation, will now have a new hope. My Advice: Jesus said the day and hour of these events are not known, but will happen anytime, and it will come like a thief in the night. He gave us some signs we should watch out for, and if you look at the scriptures, you will see the signs keeps coming to pass (Please see Mark 13: That means, if Jesus Christ can predict those things and TRUELY, they keeps coming to pass, then His promise of the rapture and second coming will also come to pass! So, if you are yet to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please do so now, as tommorow might be too late. And for we that are already Christians, let us allow the belief that Jesus will return one day, to guide us within godly conducts. How sure are you that you can withstand the torment of the Antichrist during the great tribulation? The best thing for you is to live a lifestyle of holiness that will make you rapturable with Jesus Christ, and go on with Him to enjoy the marriage supper. The Lord asked me to tell you this: "I stand at the door, I cometh, I cometh" Thus saith the Lord Of Host! |
daewoorazer:But are you a Christian? |
Sirheny007:Alright sir. But are you a Christian? What are your motives for doing all these things you do? Is it for the expansion of the gospel? |
Sirheny007:But if Christians don't give their money for the expansion of the gospel, how do you suggest evangelism should be spread? |
Saintsbrown:'our tithe'? You do pay tithe? |
IamtherealRita:Kindly tell me why you think so. |
IamtherealRita:He knows what the Bible says, but he divorced his wife? He knows what the Bible says, but he is sleeping around with a woman he isn't married to? You guys are jokers. |
Nebuzaradan:is there anything wrong with being a 'pentecostal person'? |
prince3009:Shortest. does not give real figures. For instance, you get 3k views, their own dashboard will show probably 1k |
BrainnewsNg:I'm really impressed by you. How can I get in touch? |
CROWNesty:In addition (I'm an art student though) But, If I should give anyone an advice, it will be: STUDY JAMB PAST QUESTIONS As in, BUY JAMB PAST QUESTIONS FOR YOUR FOUR SUBJECTS, AND STUDY FROM COVER TO COVER. Then, GET FAMILIAR WITH JAMB'S WAYS OF SETTING QUESTIONS. STUDY JAMB PAST QUESTIONS!!! I wish I can continue saying this... |
mrvitalis:But no longer a Christian, right? So, why not the Christians alone to do their things? As far as they aren't hurting others? Then, concentrate on the religions that kills and breeds terror? |
BruncleZuma:How about 'mosqueing'? |
mrvitalis:Are you a Christian? |
mrvitalis:So, how do you suggest the church get funds for Evangelism, crusade outreaches, and the rest? |
Singingbae:Log out, and then log in again. If it persists, use a computer. @TheHistorian. My brother, I saw your pm notification, but the thing is, I can't presently remember the email attached to this Nairaland account. Hope you are preparing for clearance and all. |
bukdan:History, sir. |
TheHistorian:My brother. Sorry for the late response, was very much busy. OK. After the news was out yesterday that the results have been uploaded, I also tried checking with my phone last night. Using Firefox browser, my portal opened quite all right, but my score wasn't showing! So, I tried my phone's own ('follow come') browser. And after some serious battle (as it appears many people were also trying to access the site), it came up, and I saw 53.6666! I was surprised. For one, I've been seeing other people's results, and none was with .something-something. Number two, the questions were quite simple that I wasn't expecting anything less than 60. But as a child of God, I prayed to God and thanked Him for the result (because some people didn't even meet the average mark which is 50) Fast forward to this evening, I was coming back from my sister's place, and decided going to a cafe to check again. Upon opening, I saw 77 right there on my portal I was happy and I thanked God and sing praises to Him. Then I told myself 'Go and start preparing to pay your acceptance fee' I just keep thanking God and giving Glory to His Most Holy Name. My advice to those who checked with their phones and are seeing funny scores. Try checking with a PC. God bless us all. See you in UI. |
lhilmezy:You are willing to take #300 for 1,000 words articles? |
God bless you preacher. At least, on judgement day, no one will claim they didn't hear the gospel while on earth. John 3:16. |
twentyk:I understand you bro. But you see, what is bad is bad. I want you to please try dumping the yahoo stuff - it is wrong. There are other good means you can use to make money online. God bless you sir. |
Chrismarvel:Sorry this is coming late. Actually, both of us are in the same shoes. I also chose law last year with the hope that we'd battle it out in the post utme, but we all know what eventually happened. So, this year, just like you, I also chose history. And just like you did, I also did research about the Double Hons stuff (combining History with Political Science). Then I found out that, even though it's on UI's site that a student can combine the two courses, it is not being done in reality. So, this is my own long-term aim (you might want to imitate me) After the four-year History course, I intend going for a Masters in International Relations (you might chose to go for a Masters in Political Science or any other related thing that catch your fancy) So, make sure you don't hate History. From my findings, it appears the course will be an interesting one in UI. Try to begin loving the course from now so you won't have much issues with it when you are eventually admitted Hope to see you at the History Department next year potential course-mate |
Rursh:Sorry, I can't just ignore this. What do you mean by 'maybe you think ui wants you guys to pass' I totally find the statement nauseating. If no one pass, is it dogs or goats they will admit and put inside the lecture halls? Is getting an education in the 21st century meant to be something really tough as you were trying to portray it? (and perhaps, as ui portrays it - according to the picture you are trying to create) I desire ignoring your statement, but I just couldn't. Nigeria can be tiring. It is well. |
BiafranBushBoy:Well, you can't blame me though. Since you guys have almost ruined the politics section with your tribalism, we need to protect the very few sane sections remaining. And, I'm not angry at you for your insults. |
BiafranBushBoy:You bring tribalism to the business section? |
EngrBello:Manners bro, show manners. I have to go through my post to see anywhere I sound rude, but I don't think I can find any (perhaps the 'will you provide a job for him' part got you) Sorry, will have love engaging you further (since we learn from arguments like this), but despite this forum being a faceless one, I don't like it when people talk to me anyhow. So, bye bye. God bless you. |
taylor88:Male |
taylor88:Hey, this is absurd. Don't make it seem as if our sexual desires are uncontrollable. I mean, we are humans, and should have self control. I'm 22 and I've not had sex (I'm perfectly normal) and do not plan having it till after I'm married (you might not believe this though) But I'm doing fine. You might wonder what made that possible. Simple. I devote myself more to the things of God. Once you are a spiritual person focusing on the things of God, things like this won't be difficult for you. I pray that you also will encounter Jesus Christ the Son of God. Amen. God bless you. |
An2elect2:Are you for real? What made me quote you. |
EngrBello:I think your analysis is plainly wrong. All schools are bound to follow the procedure laid down by Jamb - as far as it's backed by the ministry of education. The VC of the University of Ibadan (and his Senate), even despite that they might want to uphold some legacies attached to the citadel, are still under the control of the ministry of education. I could remember last year, when the ministry said 'No post utme', many people were like 'Ui can never follow that' 'ui is this and that' And I'm like, even private schools are bound to follow the government's policies, not to talk about a federal institution. If Ui's VC Prof Olayinka decide to go against the instructions of the ministry of education just because he wants to uphold some legacies the school is known for, do you have another job for him? |
