he usually come around he talks and joke with everyone in the shop and we are all free with him after sometimes of showing good behaviours towards us. to cut the story short, one day he asked for my phone number that he wants to be communicating with me, so I told him I don't have a phone am not working yet I am still learning and he smiled and promised to buy me a phone, which I told him if it's not just a gift he should not buy but if he wants to dash me for no reason like having intention of relationship or sex etc he should. then he said he just meant to buy for me as a friend and I thank him.

so few days later he gave me 50,000 to buy myself a phone and I collected it and appreciate it.

so we communicate normally but just as a friend.

last month he started asking me out I told him am not ready for relationship because the kind of suffering and stress I pass through to survive totally made me lost interest for anything like that, he got angry and told me to send back his 50,000 to or I should accept him. he is threatening me because he knows I cannot afford such money to pay him so I told him to give me time, I will refund it just to avoid problem but he said no time will be given that either I should give him my virginity or if I don't pay before next 7 days he will destroy my life. either by jazz or attack.

I just don't know what to do I need advice.

So I really don’t know who I have offended my love life Is a course I always fail. I have been seeing this girl since June 2020 but friends before then. She is been a financial burden to me as she doesn’t work, well in my own way I support her, my salary is actually 35k per month here in Abuja hoping it will increase but it didn’t.

Now I am not financially strong but I do my best, this girl borrows money from me claiming family issues But she doesn’t give me back. I told her I honestly don’t have the money.. we argued I said ok let me give her my iPhone 7 she said nope that her friends are using iPhone 11 upward. Let me try buy iPhone 8 now she say no. She sha said she will settle for iPhone 11 Pro Max . Just to kill the argument I said ok and anytime she brings it up I tell her I am working on it. Deep down I knew I can not raise that money . My salary for 10 months will not even be able to buy the phone. She has been hopeful always saying when are we buying it. Anyways her birthday has passed. I wasn’t around as I traveled but now I am back on Tuesday she called telling me hope I am giving it to her on Sunday that she can’t wait to get it bla bla bla . She was excited . Had to tell her the truth that I don’t have the money yet and she should be patient. She just kept quiet on the phone. Babe what’s up? I asked . She said nothing I want to sleep and she cannot come over to my house this weekend again. Our conversation went from 100 to 0 real quick. I then texted her to calm down that I will try raise the money. Anyways like play like play this girl hasn’t read my message since Tuesday nor pick my calls. Like how can somebody be so insensitive. Ignoring all do times I have helped her financially but a freaking gadget that can be stolen is your problem. Even my salary no dey do me for a whole month . Men are only loved by what they can provide, Nd I do provide to this girl God knows. E pain me sha. Anyways just writing this to ease my pain.

But my insecurity was my biggest flaw. I didn't want to lose her Cuz I was scared and unknowingly pushing her away. In my previous thread, I stated that 'everyone I've loved ended up leaving eventually', and I almost never let anyone in, but In Her case, I did . I have always felt alone all my life till I met her.

All of a sudden she said she was busy with life , she was stressed and tired of my insecurity and she wanted to leave me in the relationship. This came after we had a slight misunderstanding and we didn't communicate for a week Cuz she wouldn't talk to me. It came as a shock. I'm broken and I'm still wondering where I went wrong. I need someone to talk to . I just wanna make money and work on myself. I'm about to round off school, in my final year... With all the pressure and depression I might misplace my priorities.


Someone help me. I need therapy. I want to move on but I dunno how to start.

My boyfriend and I started dating about 2 months ago. We've met a few times because we stay in different cities. He has been very nice to me and told me the last time we met that he wants us to settle down as soon as possible. After that, he started acting in a strange way, not picking my calls, responding to messages after 2 days, then I asked him if he was okay, he said he will "catch up". He is a medical doctor and I understand he can be very busy so I left him for a week and tried to reach him to check on him again. He responded with "Please stop communicating for now, I am not in a position to respond to messages now, I will reconnect with you later"

We didn't have any quarrel, everything looked okay before all these started. I'm really worried because even if he is so busy with work, he couldn't spare a few minutes to talk to me and explain the situation.

I'm confused right now because I think he probably lost interest as I don't know what to make out of the whole thing.

What do you guys think?

Good evening, Romancelanders. It's quite a lengthy read, so bear with me.

This lady and I have been dating for the past 4 years, and I am planning on making it official later this year, though Covid-19 made my finances quite complicated recently, but things are getting back in shape.

Recently, specifically over 2 weeks ago, she suddenly stopped picking my calls. Prior to that, we haven't seen each other since September last year. She always comes up with one excuses or the other every weekend whenever I tell her to come over to my place or if I want to go over to her place to see her. I always have busy schedules during the midweek, so we usually have only weekends to see each other.

I have gone to see her mother and her siblings last year. They accepted me as a prospective in-law. The mum said she queried her daughter and she told her that I was the one she would like to spend the rest of her life with, hence the mum's invitation. Her mum usually calls me from time to time, and I do talk to her, too.

Couple of days back, I had to call the mum to report her daughter to her regarding the uncharacteristic change in her daughter's behaviour, and how, despite living in the same city, we haven't seen each other in 4 months, and how she has refused picking my calls in more than 2 weeks.

She promised to talk to her and ask her what the problem was and get back to me. I waited for some couple of days, but when I didn't see the mum's call, I had to call her back. I had to ask her to give her daughter her phone so I could talk to her and ask her some salient questions regarding our relationship. She kept saying there is no problem and that I didn't offend her, and our relationship is still standing strong. I asked if she was going through some personal issues that she could share with me and we might find a solution; she said she was perfectly okay. We settled our issues right there and then, and she promised to call back the second day.

I waited for the second day and I did not see her call. I had no choice than to call her back. Ladies and gentlemen, this girl didn't pick my calls. When she eventually picked after multiple missed calls, she was talking to someone else, while my airtime was burning out. I became enraged. I had to call the mum the second day to tell her I was no longer interested in the daughter, that she was probably seeing someone else, and she didn't have the guts to tell me.

The mum swore that her daughter is not seeing someone else, as far as she knows, and that she hasn't brought anyone to meet her. The mum is a Deeper Lifer, and from my interactions with her, she doesn't condone two-timing. She promised to talk to her daughter, that maybe we should give ourselves more time, like taking a break for a couple of months.

I am not usually this patient, and never condoned negligence and disregard in my previous relationships. However, this girl had been special to me, prior to her negligence. She was quite dedicated to me during the course of our 4-year-old relationship. She was never demanding, and was contented and altruistic, too. She helped me many times in the past, financially, whenever I was broke, and I always repaid her back, too. She was a wife material, and loved by my family as well.

The questions are;

1. Do I disregard the mum's advice?

2. Do I still give this girl another chance after her blatant negligence?
