Some would point that the Bible also contains verses that incite killings and violence. True, but that is in the old testament before the coming of Jesus, he came to change all that.and that's why Christian lay emphasis on living Christ-like. So over to the Muslims can you clarify the justification of the violence in this verses?
If you have no hate at heart I will explain to you, You could see very well that the person highlighted part of a narration. Those narrations refer to situations in the days of the Prophet when Islam was undergoing persecution. I am sure you will then be bothered about other verses of the Quran that Muslims "alleges to preach peace". Those statements are all circumstantial just like the ones in the bible too are. I have a goofg knowledge of the two books....I am not even a muslim. People should detest from this journey of trying to discredit another man's religion by all means. No matter what I say or you say it will not affect anything. Despite all the propaganda about islam, has it affected anything. Let us all embrace love.

I used to have this issue too when I changed my job last year. I started spending time in Lagos and catering for my own expenses unlike the former job that takes me around and cater for all the expenses. I realised despite the fact that I earn around 400k, I'll still be close to broke by month end and expecting salary like i wasn't paid the previous month. Meanwhile no wife, child or anything. Na just me alone. So I decided to do this:
I first of all analysed those essential (fixed) expenses I can't do without in a month;
1. Fuel for car - 5k weekly = 20k in a month.
2. Fuel for gen - 2k weekly = 8k monthly.
3. Monthly tithe. ........× amount.
4. Xfers to family .......40k
5. Laundry .....5k on the average
6. Security and utility bills.....6K

After i found out that my fixed expenses are actually around 150k monthly. I just checked out some monthly investments and placed a direct debit instruction on my account .....whether I like it or not 200k is taken out of my acct. monthly to these investments. By so doing I av limited excess fund to throw around . Afterall na naija me dey ..na Rome father Xmas dey live.

Bros try this out.

Only few people will be able to see beyond Reno Omokri's article....he is just trying to rub the ego of the Igbos for a selfish reason I believe. We do not need him to remind us of those inventions borne out of necessity. I only wish the Igbo folks can see beyond their nose, that not every person that sing your praise is your friend and not ever yperson that criticize you is your enemy actually.
PoliticsRe: Wole Soyinka In Westminster London For African Literary Fanfare (Photos) by Intrepid01(m): 2:30pm On Aug 22, 2016
Nov15:
Please you all should hold your fire, I wish we can all get some education or knowledge whenever we visit Nairaland. Prof Wole Soyinka has been meeting with Govt and the militants, Part of the militants demand is to have international community to be part of the Negotiation. If not someone of Wole soyinka's pedigree who would you prefer to spearhead the international contacts? Whether we agree or not, Soyinka is not just a Nigerian but a Global personality who can go to any country in the world and will be listened to. There are a few others also but for some strategic reasons it may not be expedient to bring them in. e.g Emeka Anyaoku, etc. For those saying why is he going outside to talk and not saying anything in Nigeria, please always read through a topic before jumping to comment. As for those who are saying what has Wole Soyinka achieved for the country, please take your time and get information about what a Nobel Award is all about. They are very few in the world and it is not a political appointment. Wole Soyinka established Road safety in Oyo state and it was adopted nationwide, unfortunately the military deviated from his ideas and he resigned, to spite him, the military merged FRSC with police and FRSC became grossly corrupt and ineffective. Even though it has been seperated from police, it has never recovered from that misadventure. If we have an open mind, we may learn from those who know.
May God bless you sir......I am so sure the person behind this moniker isn't a kid and if the person is even a young person, your level of knowledge has differentiated you. Imagine someone asking what Wole Soyinka has done for Nigeria? Even your fathers can not even ask such. Wole Soyinka has been engaging the Government of Nigeria and even Africa ( specifically South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ghana etc) since the '60s. The problem is people don't read anylonger. Seun your forum has really contributed to the level of ignorance in today's youth. People are just plain illiterate.

GOD BLESS YOU MY BROTHER!!!

Mr DropShot, I am a proper Yoruba from Ogun State. I do not like being partisan.

There is absolutely no lie in what that lytech has said. It is not my first time of saying such either.

Wole Soyinka has not done anything pragmatically positive to the Nigerian polity or governance.

All we know is that he's a Nobel Laureate and that's all. That's his own achievement and not Nigeria's.

He's good at is criticizing, swinging the pendulum to wherever pleases him.

I boldly supported the stance of Obasanjo when he called him a "wine connoisseur"

It is always easier to castigated or criticize. Everybody is a talker, only few are actually acting.
Sorry o Bros, I have decided to reply to this your statement because I sensed it is devoid of hate but pure IGNORANCE.
Coming to a public forum like this to ask and even show your naivety for what the likes of Wole Soyinka has done for AFRICA not just NIGERIA is laughable. It is either you are a kid or just plain illiterate. Whichever one you are, this is my advice, go and get all books written about the history of Nigeria from 1950 till present date, with special reference to those written about periods like 1960, 1963, 1966-1971, 1976-1979, 1986-1994. You will also do yourself a whole lot of good by reading if not all, some of his books like, "you must set forth at dawn", "Penkelemess years of Ibadan", "Ake" e.t.c.

We all need to read more and spend less time on the internet wasting precious time.

When I speak of him I come correct with no malice. But Bob Dee must eat using the God provided talent he has and his opinions I'm sorry has K.leg often based on his vested interests.

How else can I defend his blatant all our defence of saraki even printing propaganda leaflets for his aid and an all our media crusade. Dale Momodu has a strong social media army and he is trying to use it to sway opinion towards his paymasters

I love him as a brother but beyond that his political leanings and mine can be at odds
Ok sir, i won't argue with you based on a distance perception. We as Nigerians hardly do anything for God's sake.

Dele Momodu is becoming more confused by the hour.
For anyone that takes Dele Momodu serious please know this is not the type of man you take into a battle he'll only be by your side while the advantage is with your faction; if things so sour or look like going down hill and the heat comes he'll abandon ship and may even sell you out.

Dele is a brown paper bag type of guy , his weekly write ups are the type paid for, from his defence of Saraki to this new back door pass for a Tinubu presidency in 2019
You are just a hater. You know why he's different and never afraid to hear his mind, cos he's a rich man himself. They all know it. He writes without bitterness and sympathy for know one. He writes from experience, it may favour you today and tomorrow it might not as a politician. Check out his articles on the internet, no be today.

I think a true leader will emerge from obscurity if for any reason PMB decides not to run.

The permutations and combinations Bob Dee penned are so dead on arrival. None of Tinubu, Atiku, Saraki or Jonathan is electable.

Bob Dee is still driven by the politics of pre-social media era. 2019 will strictly be about performance. The deciders will be the Social Media Assembly (SMA).

lipsrsealed undecided
Bros, leave it or take it, as painful as it seems those names are the potential President of Nigeria. THhe only thing that can change it is God. Many pple said GMB was dead on arrival when the news beoke out in 2013 that Tinubu had struck an alliance with Buhari to succeed Jonathan. Today he is the President.
It it so sad and painful that we are fixed in the hands of these men who have no iota of concern for the masses.
I keep asking people every year, what is free about an election that has no credible candidate? It is an election rigged at source. How can someone ask me to choose between Atiku, Tinubu, Jonathan or Kwankwanso, WTF is that?

I have said it before now, if America is in the 21st century Africa is definitely in the 10th century. ...cos we definitely not in the same century.

Lolzzzzzzzz...... Guy take heart, i feel your pain

A girl tried to play me that way sometime ago but i kuku show am say i grow up for Aba smiley smiley

I invited this lady over to my house, a met her about a week before then and we will getting along on phone and chat, so i invited her over to my house, she agreed to come but started forming not understanding my house address (even though my house was on well known road, very close to a popular school in the area), she even declined to take a direct cab to my house which could have been very easy considering that cab guys all know the area.
She insisted we meet a popular fast food joint (Mr Biggs tongue), so we eventually me at the fast food joint, in order to at least show i care , i asked if she needed any food or drinks, which she off course said yes. To my greatest surprise she ordered for two packs of fried rice +chicken, two packs of salad, 2 pieces of meat pie, 2 sets of ice cream, 2 packs of five alive......at that point i interjected and politely asked if she is ordering for me too but she said no, that it was for her sister at home who asked her to get something for her since she was going out.....

The bills was almost 6k, i grudgingly paid and consoled myself that at least i will get my reward in kind since we are going to my house....Just as i was driving off from the fast food joint, she feigned a phone call and was talking as if she was talking to her mum, when she dropped the call, to my shock she insisted to go back to her house immediately because her mum and dad came back and want to see her immediately and as such she has to rush home, when i protested, she pleaded with me that she will come see me the following day, at that point i know it something she had already planned to fool me, so my Aba brought up sense grin grin in me kicked off, i formed as if am ok with her plan and even promised to drop her off so she can get home quickly... so i drove towards her house and stopped a local kiosk , politely asked her to help me buy mtn 200 Naira recharge, i told her i needed to be inside the car because of the traffic guys in PH who can easliy impound your car for wrong packing, so came out of the car and walked down to the kiosk to buy the card......then i engaged my gear and fired down my leg on the car accelerator....you know what that means smiley smiley smiley...off course my 6k fast food was inside my car....
Na soooo i kuku get food for three days in my house......
SEE THE REAL MVP. ........I wish I could buy u a bottle of beer with isi ewu for this....if actually it's true
