PoliticsRe: Presidency Is The Main Objective For South East Not Biafra.. by Intrepid01(m): 9:14am On Nov 27, 2016
OPCNAIRALAND:
certain things are predictable for 2019:
1. Ohanaeze is going to come out and declare 100% support for Atiku and call out that any Ibo who does not vote Atiku is a bast.a.rd. They will give the support without any negotiation and tradings for the position of VP. Even if they ask for VP, realizing Ibo political deficits across the nation, Atiku is likely to look elsewherw for VP.

2. Nwabueze, Ekwueme and their hosts of leaders will come out and complain that Buhari has marginalized Ibos and thats why Atiku got their endorsements. This will further fire up their supporters who will castigate Atiku as anti West and anti North but pro East and that he has promised them a referendum on Biafra if he wins.

3. Atiku has competed in every election since 93 to become President and failed in each one. He is hungry for that position and will tilt to anyone that can get him in. He has realized what Tinubu can do and will approach Jagaban for help. Jagaban has learnt, with Buhari, the dos and donts of alliance with North. Obj and Tinubu have reconciled but not Atiku. Tinubu will hold Atiku's nose to the fire. The conditions will be too hard for Atiku to accept. He may have to switch to Oshiomhole with offer of VP.

4. Atiku is a personification of corruption and theivery. Those Governors that came to government house with intention to get rich quick but has been reined by Buhari's anti corruption crusade and a lot of their bank rollers wil jump camp, abandon Buhari and form new party under Atiku. Same goes for Senators and Reps.

5. If Atiku is able to satisfy Jagaban's demands and secure his support, all the thieves with money hidden away and those almost bankrupt by Buhari will see new horizon to return to business of corruption as usual and will pump plenty of money in. Likewise, foreigners who benefitted under a regime of corruption but are finding it hard to get contracts under Buhari will also aid Atiku.

6. Either way we look at it, Soludo is deffinitely going to be in Atiku's cabinet. Soludo is pro Yoruba and may succeed in convincing West to relax and give some reliefs for infrastructural developments in East.

7. Corruption and free looting will return big time but Atiku will use secret agencies to persecute perceived enemies instead of turning them to fight criminals.
Bros, brilliant analysis. But note this. ...that desperado called ATIKU will never rule this Country.

[quote author=Aigbofa post=51382661]I agree with you about Abati. I was surprised he became mute under Jonathan. Telling it as it is and politics do not mix.[/quot

Yes you are right, I was angry and sad about his time at Aso Rock. But my Dad who made fall in love with Abatis article many years ago said, you can't be criticising a house you love in, no cos you are hypocritical but cos you owe the house the duty of care,so rather than critic you find ways to solve problems, silently. I think we need to stop hailing critics but rather problem solver.

A nice piece. You have said it all. Forming new political parties and recycling leaders is not the answers to our mounting problems, in as much as party politics remain on patronage, religion, ethnicity, tribalism etc we'll keep running from pillar to post. 98% of Nigeria politicians are ONLY after their selfish interest in politics relegating the interests of the electorates to the background.

I Think Nigerians are wiser Now....!!
Hmmm...I tot no one read it, but you did. Majority of those that will pass one or two useless comments will not even read it at all. The laziness to read intelligent articles like this amongst the youth is a direct indicator of the direction the country is going.

Op ...you are very right about this.....to even stretch it further, it annoys me to no length when you see single ladies frolicking around married men, most especially at work places. They role together to an extent that as a sharp guy you could tell that they are gbenshin each other. And you'll be like is she mad, but she knows he's married now?

But our world as turned in to rubbish, where sexual discipline as been delisted from the menu of decency and dignity.

Like a colleague will say, "I pity those of you that are not married yet, you'll have to choose from amongst the over used lots......."

RomanceRe: Is A Guy's Job A Criteria For Deciding if He will Be A Right Marriage Partner??? by Intrepid01(m): 8:29pm On Nov 24, 2016
Masikay:
Yes. You would be very wrong, because I haven't had any bitter marriage experience. I haven't even had any marriage experience at all. And I assure you my parents were okay. Still are actually.
Yea yea.. We all need to love and be loved. The thing is.. I don't think its that necessary to marry this person. I mean.. What if this person messes up? Marriage is an eternal bond (even though of late people treat it merely as advanced dating, breaking up and getting together at the slightest provocation) I dunno.. The thought of being eternally tethered (with no means of escape mind you, because I don't believe in divorce either) to a flawed human is just very scary
Maybe one day I'll find someone who'll make me think about the whole marriage thing, but right now? Nah..
Hmmm...thanks for the explanation, I think I get your point. I could infer you are filled with fear of commitment. The fear of being committed by law and trust to a fallible human that is wired with elements of betrayal and maltreatment. I still believe your views are borne out of others experience, maybe. free your mind from the fear of hurt and enjoy love; the best life has to offer.
Peace!
RomanceRe: Is A Guy's Job A Criteria For Deciding if He will Be A Right Marriage Partner??? by Intrepid01(m): 6:41pm On Nov 24, 2016
Masikay:
Depends on the type of person.
There are the open minded ones, who do not believe in gender roles. So the guy is a carpenter and won't be able to provide lavishly for their kids. Who cares? After all she's well to do and can afford to take the whole family abroad. These ones wouldn't think about the guys job at all. As far as they're in love, she's okay.

There are the strictly archaic ones. Who strongy believe in gender roles and punishments for the offenders. He earns only 30 thousand a monthhuh!?!? Who will give her money to buy hollandis wrapper and matching gele? Who will pay the kids school fees? God forbid she forks out a dime for the house keeping. These ones will not even consider them as "boyfriend material" talkless husband.

Then there are people like me. Who don't believe in the marriage thing in the first place.

@ boldened: with due respect for your view and curiosity for your standpoint....Would I be wrong to say that people of such view are either product of broken homes or bitter experiences from bad marriage. Why do I say so? Every human has been created to naturally long for a partner, a compliment, a soul mate and maybe a co-sojourner in the journey of life. Why would anyone feel strongly about being a lone-ranger?

On another thought, is it that such people do not have sexual and sensual needs or is it that they belong to the class of "all keys for any door"?......just wondering

No sane person will cry that projects aim at spreading development across Nigeria is being initiated. Yorubas have no problem with the development of the east, infact it is good news to them, if you understand what i mean. YORUBAs don't hate....we know the children of hate and victim.
EducationRe: Did You Know IKEJA Is An Abbreviation? by Intrepid01(m): 7:49am On Nov 23, 2016
Sanchez01:
LOL... So you actually believed that? What is the relationship of Epe with core parts of Lagos? Epe that is on the outskirt and almost in Ogun state.

I haven't really thought about it before though but I know Alausa used to be 'Abúlé Jogunosinmi', which later changed to 'Abúlé Tapa' and much later to 'Alausa', due to the influx of the Hausas. Unfortunately, our poor record keeping culture would be a primary reason why the name Ikeja may not really move us since its origin is unknown to almost all Lagosians.

IKEJA is said to be named after an Awori hunter known as Akeja Onigorun. He was a successful hunter who was celebrated within the Awori clan of the Yoruba people, hence the present name Ikeja the state government seat of Lagos. This is just one of the many stories backing the origin however, no octogenarian or historian till tomorrow has been able to come on TV to explain the name. Again, it goes ahead to show how bad we are at keeping records as a people.
Bros I do not know of historical records you have stated but I doubt if you are right on the simple reason that you are wrong about your story on 'Alausa' ....Go to Lagos radio the right pronouncuation is "the owner of awusa' ....Awusa is that local fruit you eat and your mouth taste bitter if you drink water afterward....it has nothing to do with the Northerners AT ALL....

Yoruba you can do nothing!

Why can't the Yorubas come out and declare the true intentions of their meeting instead of using one fake economic summit as a guise? This shows how cowardly your leaders are.

And what I know from yoruba history of treachery, in this same meeting, many Afonjas will take the outcome to buhari to betray their own people.

This is just a dance of shame and we are loving it

PoliticsRe: Southwest Governors Meet Today On Economy by Intrepid01(m): 10:15am On Nov 21, 2016
I see that some children of tyranny have invaded this thread. They are so pained and are crying more than the bereaved. betrayal, alignment and re-alignment is not a new thing in politics. It happens everywhere in the world, not in Nigeria alone. But unlike some children of hate and bigotry who will rather sit down and cry over spilled milk, South West would rise above the tide, as we have done many times. Some people are still crying about 1967 cos they are d.u.m.b and s.t.e.w.p.i.d.

Christianity EtcRe: Do Witches & Wizards Exist? I Don't Think So! by Intrepid01(m): 1:34am On Nov 16, 2016
Seun:
A witch or wizard is a person who has been granted supernatural powers by 'the devil' and uses them to perpetrate evil against other people.

I don't believe that 'the devil' exists. I don't believe that supernatural powers exist. Consequently, I don't believe witches could possibly exist.

When I read about women and children being beaten and killed for "witchcraft", I feel terrible because I know they're almost certainly innocent.

Do you disagree with me? If so, please share with me the evidence you've come across that has convinced you that witchcraft is real. Thanks.
I know you don't believe so many things exist, even God. Unfortunately for humans existence of supernatural or metaphysical things are totally independent of our belief. Contrary to what you may think, I do not blame anyone for disbelief . But I pray for you and the other lots that you'll have a firsthand experience of these diabolical powers, afterall experience is the best teacher .

Even the two holy books agree on the fact that the physical is controlled by the spiritual realm.

The only way to confirm all these is to experience it. May you all be spiritually aflicted for experience sake.

Wow..........I never knew this Oyegun is this stupid. How can the party chairman come out to say this at this stage and in the present condition of the party. This guy has lost it. Denigrating all other party Chiefs to satisfy Buhari.

I think this is a huge mistake from Tinubu, I have never seen a more stupid party chairman than this guy. How could this slowpoke be made a party Chairman. Buhari is sooo big that he won the earlier 3 elections he took part in. He has indirectly drawn the battle line and inform some party Chiefs to leave. Wow what an usurper this guy his. This was someone that was brought from obscurity.
