Family › Re: **Nigerian Men Who Are Scared Of Successful Women Possess Low Mentality** by InvertedHammer: 3:57am On Apr 29, 2015
Rapmoney:
Sincerely speaking, my Nigerian brothers are falling my hands big time!!!

Often times, I hear people (including the male folks!) Saying 'young women that are successful in their respective careers and probably drive cars are no-go area!' That's a huge sign of inferiority complex and an exhibition of shallow mentality! wink

Is it really an exclusive right for men only to be successful and own cars? huh Why do we have young women schooling or learning a trade? Is it not to be successful in their chosen careers? huh Do we expect these women to subject themselves to lack and poverty?

Today, most Nigerian ladies who are successful and unmarried are normally seen as a no-go area for men. They label such women as disrespectful and not submissive under wrong assumptions! This clearly shows a poor mentality of the male folks!!!

Nigerian guys need to live above this poor mentality and accept the fact that becoming successful is not an exclusive right of the male folks...success is all encompassing and can be attained by anyone, irrespective of gender!

Please, feel free to share your views.

Peace! cheesy
/
Because of the nature of the Nigerian society, how many young and single ladies drive cars that they bought on their own legal hard work considering the prevalence of local runs and Dubai runs? Inferiority complex is only one of many reasons such ladies are avoided like plagues. Again, there are some exceptions.

A lot of guys are erring on the side of caution.
That's all.

Nollywood movies are not helping the matter as well---psychological programming.

Crime › Re: I Worked To Raise $6,000 For Libyan love-vendor ─kidnapped Schoolgirl by InvertedHammer: 12:36pm On Apr 28, 2015

Something is missing from the story.

It is either she is a runaway teenager who got caught up in a bad situation or trauma from her experience has messed up her brain.

Her story does not make any sense at all: Aja, ijebu- Lekki, Alaba, Libya and at no point did she make any attempt to contact the house from where she left for school? Or to even contact any of her school friends? I don't believe the story as told.

Celebrities › Re: Tonto Dikeh Pictured With Nairalander In Close Shot! (photos) by InvertedHammer: 12:24pm On Apr 28, 2015
AlexReports:
Photos of controversial Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh and Abuja popular social media reporter Alex Nwankwo recently hit the internet.

According to reports, it was taken during her visit to the capital city with her record Label Boss, Db‎anj. DB Records were hosted by several Abuja clubs and the Nairalander "alexreports" was on ground for exclusive coverage.

It was indeed a close shot as the picture shows Tonto taking the shot herself....the questions begging for answers are?

Are they friends? Is it just normal celebrity picture tinz or is she a blog visitor to his site?

This is too childish especially coming from the baba in the picture.

First, the source is you @ alexreport (broken link)

Secondly, you referred to yourself in a third person.

Finally, you are starting your own rumour.

Is this how much you want attention? SMH

Crime › Re: Nigerian Woman, Temitope Adebamiro Kills Cheating Husband In The US (photo) by InvertedHammer: 4:12am On Apr 26, 2015
cap28:
In some jurisdictions ie the UK a defendant can state that their spouse's sexual infidelity caused them to commit murder, even if they did not actually witness the infidelity. Other factors have to have contributed to push the defendant to comitt murder though.

Check the link below where a man murdered his wife during an argument and was able to rely on the fact that she had taunted him by giving him graphic details about how she had had sex with five different men. He murdered her and claimed that he lost control. A jury was directed to consider the woman's sexual infidelity which resulted in the defendant's acquittal.

The case is in USA. Leave UK out of it.

When it happens in UK, we shall discuss it.

The lady has been charged with first degree murder already.

Crime › Re: Nigerian Woman, Temitope Adebamiro Kills Cheating Husband In The US (photo) by InvertedHammer: 11:38pm On Apr 25, 2015
cap28:
A crime of passion can occur as a result of long term emotional abuse that has built up over time. This woman was subjected to a catalogue of abuse over a 10 year period: she was abused by the husband whilst pregnant and cheated on. These things leave emotional scars that do not go away, women have very long memories when they feel they have been treated badly.

Her mistake was to carry on with the marriage whilst harbouring hatred for the man, hatred that has been allowed to fester for many years will eventually erupt into extreme violence.

/
Crime of passion as used in court of law is a technical term just like plea of insanity. You misunderstood the whole concept.
Crime of passion has to do with sudden impulse of rage that can arise when a husband walks into his wife being boinked by a stranger in their matrimonial bed. But If the husband walks away and kills the wife later (even though it has to do with love/passion), it becomes first degree murder and defense attorneys dare not bring up crime of passion as defence.

That's all.

CFCfan:
The man was a jerk in cheating on his wife, but killing him was not the right solution. She could have filed for divorce.

Now, by being charged for 1st degree murder, she could either be facing a death sentence, or life imprisonment. But as this was a crime of passion, the prosecutors should have charged her with voluntary manslaughter because there is no evidence so far that shows she planned the murder days, or even hours, in advance. In other words, it would be difficult for the DA to prove beyond every reasonable doubt that the killing was premeditated.
/
This is premeditated murder and does not fall under the category of "crime of passion" since she did not walk into the room to find her.husband and some lady in the act.
It was planned. And when the opportunity presented itself, she struck.
First degree murder case is what she will get.

We are reaching out to the Congressman representing his district. Next line of action will be Washington D.C.

N2trn = $10bn

Missing fund from NNPC = $20bn.

Other unaccounted looted funds exist too. Some looted years back in preparation for the elections.

The stolen $20bn was not in the budget anyway.

Yes. It is possible that N2trn was wasted in bribery in the last election. Some people smiled to the banks. 419 has different levels. GEJ is a learner. It is a clear case of mugu fall, guy man chop. GEJ na the biggest mugu/mgbada of all time.

Tell me anywhere in the world where guy man go let mugu wey dey drop wella go like that. That's why they dropped the TAN format on GEJ.
GEJ dropped well well. No mind all these riff-raff TANoids on NL that only got recharge cards and N15k for all their efforts.

'Clueless' is the last word I would use to describe President Jonathan. His media team should have done way much more.

FYI, from your above comment, it sounded like you are saying 'use of media' is a yardstick for measuring good governance.
/
The use of media is not the yardstick for measuring good governance but it is an integral part of today's politics.

A good leader must find ways to communicate with the people. He/she can use the media or let the good works speak for themselves.

But the media aides to GEJ were busy mixing explanations and insolence. It is not what they did that mattered. The worst part

was GEJ gave them free reign and failed to call them to order when they acted out of line. In some cases, it appeared as if

GEJ is not in control by his mien, utterances and actions.

DaGC:
He was active in carrying out his duty constitutionally through out his tenure. He just wasn't publicized much like now. If he had mastered the use of the media like Fashola or Akpabio, Nigerians might have seen more of him. These men will throw a bash with press present to commision street lights whereas many other governors don't.

Apart from the BH menace, which is not entirely his fault because it took quite a long while to restock the armed forces. Even the once depleted air force can now boast of over 200 aircraft and drones. As far as corruption goes, its not his job constitutionally. That belongs to the NPF, ICPC, EFCC and the courts.

He had lots of good policies and truly carried out a lot of infrastructural projects more than any Nigerian leader since 1960, but many Nigerians were not satisfied, thus the result of the just concluded election.
/
And whose fault is it? I hope you are not insinuating that GEJ performed but is clueless? That will be a terrible thing to say.

Shekau singlehandedly proved that Jonathan is a dunce.
Just like SA is burning and every president is spitting fire, did Jonathan make a statement? No! That's your hero.

The same lacklustre approach he used on the Chibok saga. GEJ doesn't know any better and the sooner he gets out of the way, the better.

I keep imagining if GEJ had scrambled the air force, keep the army moving just to prove that Chibok was a hoax, his ratings would have been very high everywhere. Instead he went dancing and jubiliating in a birthday party.

Such insensitivity to humanity deserves corporal punishment. All I can say is --good riddance to rubbish.
