classicB:Nice to know ![]() |
classicB:This is a by the way question - were you that girl that was talking about being an introvert and stuff? So how are things now with you and your guy |
There's nothing wrong in being nice...However there's everything wrong in being a wimp...The classic "nice guy" is a wimp, I say this because even the "bad boy" personae that most stupiid girls fall for, still has niceness as part of their character, the key is learning to balance the divide between being a wimp and being a nice guy. |

'We were bought with a price" .That's a very profound verse in the Bible and it's one of such verses that as christians, we can use to claim our right to health , wealth and other promises of God, but we can only boldly do this when we steer clear from sin, you can't expect to pray along the lines of " You sickness of Asthma, because I was bought with a price- the precious blood of Jesus, I'm no longer a property of sickness, therefore, you Asthma..... die!. ;when the very body you're saying the blood of Jesus paid for sleeps with a prostitut:e every weekend.-Your prayers won't be answered. On one of such accounts when Jesus was speaking He said "The devil has come and found nothing of his in me".... This should be the practising mantra of every christain, and by practising I mean, we should learn to say it only when we know that there's truly nothing (sin) that belongs to the devil in us. Sexual sin is sin quite alright and like every other sin, it would lead you to hell fire but in the same vein, it is not like every other sin, because it doesn't just have a punishment - hell fire, it also has a consequence - a number of them that literally start to destroy your life here on earth before the eternal punishment of hell fire. I understand the struggle in maintaining sexual purity, I'm about turning 30, and at this stage, my body almost wants to start removing sperm from my nose, but I won't say because I'm so pressed and God would understand, so I end up engaging in premarital sex, as much as God is merciful, He has also said that ", He that must follow me must be ready to take up his cross ....maintaining your sexual purity in the presence of over surging testosterone levels, is a cross[so don't expect it to be easy] and as a christian, It is your God given responsibility to carry your cross. God help us all. Very good thread OP. Thanks for sharing. |
slimmy05:So you're the unfortunate one that chose to quote me. My eyes are heavy right now, so I need to sleep, if you're lucky enough I may actually spare some minutes later today to give you a stepwise process on how to reason well and make tangible sense. Because I can see that you've been smearing this whole thread with what is supposedly meant to come out through your anus, but remarkably is coming out from your brain. Have a good night |
And we call them "celebrities" Baby mama is now trending So many "dirtebrities" displaying their utter lack of respect for the sanctity of marriage. What a shame. Let anybody quote me with the nonsense response that time has changed and so being a baby mama is not a big deal... quote me with that tone of reply and see how I would wash you down ![]() |
At the end of the day, it's just being basically selfish and self centred. Ladies on this thread have been giving one common denominator for hiding their feelings- "I don't want him to think I'm cheap"/" I don't want to be turned down" So is it a guy's mission on earth to be turned down You ladies naturally expect a guy to feel good that he summed up courage to tell you how he feels and you just took all that courage, poured it in a mortar, pounded it to dust, scooped it and applied it on your face as foundation/powder- waiting to look good for another victim. So at the end of the day ladies are out rightly selfish and self centred, they may try to put it under less toxic and cutesy headers but the fact remains that - Ladies are selfish. No body is saying, you should be overly brazen enough to walk up to him and give him a kiss the very first time you're meeting, but what's wrong in a simple "hi".... or " Hello, your shoes are nice" (even if his shoes are like a speed boat), or "I need to buy this your cologne for my brother (even if you're the 5th girl in a family of 7girls),it smells so nice" Any guy who has interests in you will happily take the cue from all these and step it up to the next level, and If he doesn't take the cue- just move on. Simple. |
Funny stories ![]() ![]() Nice thread @OP |
NiceMan4:Wow. So nice to know ![]() |
This is exactly in line with what I've been thinking for the past two days now..... I don't want to date who I'm not going to marry and I'm not going to date who I'm not going to marry. I may have a very spiritually coloured opinion or bias about this issue but the truth is, if you're a practising christain and you sincerely employ the help of the Holy Spirit, I believe he would lead you to whom is the best fit for you... The Holy Spirit is not a "player"... He is the Spirit of truth and He knows all things, including who would be best fitted for you to date and consequently marry. Very many people may frown at this mindset, but really it's the best way to go. It's just that we've become too " contemporary" and this has led us to wrongfully believe that we can do anything we want with our lives, that we can date anybody, court anybody, and marry anybody - So wrong. Some folk will just be jumping in and out of relationships, for reasons of I have to test this or that, I have to know if I'm sexually compatible with Mr Lion or Miss Cheetah... Talk like this is all BS. |
Atleast you should have waited till after puberty. |
emsco:Congratulations man. WazobiaTv just recently opened vacancies for video editors, if you're interested you can apply. I suggest though, that before you get a TV or production outfit to work with, continue improving your creativity by watching video tutorials, you can get literally thousands of editing videos on YouTube. All the best man. |
Another brilliant post Awesome Awesome. I'm into Motion graphics and Editing and everything you've said here is spot on, especially for the learning other softwares part. Normally as a Motion Graphics Designer, your core softwares are Aftereffects, Premiere pro and other obviously "Motion based" Softwares, but some time back I decided to go into Illustrator and Photoshop and I've never regretted it. I'm more versed in illustrator though than photoshop, but I know the skeletal frame work, besides there's almost no tutorial you can't get on YouTube - which brings me to validate another point you made about always planning before hand. I recently got a job to make some montages and segment breakers for a program, however before I got this project I had been planning and improving on my abilities with tutorials and stuff like that. When this job finally came, it made things "so easy" for me... Because I didnt have to start from the scratch, I already had a creative backdrop in my mind to work on. Summarily, thank you for the very enlightening post. Cheers. |
Seun:Seun you replied me? Thank you for replying Infact, because you replied, I hereby donate 50 million dollars for your 2035 presidential campaign. Seriously though I think you should work on your moderator-pool. There are only very few of them that actually know what they are doing. Thank you sir. |
@OP Yeah... Very true, I saw the thread yesterday and even commented on it, the next thing *pooof*... No where to be found.... The next thing *pooof* found it on the front page today by another handle. Nairaland and its set of goons that call themselves moderators ![]() Highest thing na ban. and ban no dey commot my wifi. |
CoCoLav:Chaiiiiiii ![]() ![]() Your boyfriend/husband will just be knocking his head on the ground everymorning, saying "Thank you o my father in heaven for this slice of heaven you have given me in cocaluv" ![]() I'm kinda like an ambivert, but most times I can be introverted because I'm a Melancholic, but just like you said, I can get ssssssooooo animated many times, get teasing, playful and all that, I also talk well and that balances up my introvert-ish need to be quiet atimes, because I find myself wanting to let someone know that I'm "worded" ![]() In summary sha, thanks for all your points, even though no be my wahala dey this thread, I still learnt a lot. ![]() ![]() |
Elantraceey Come and see your sister ![]() Oya come and seat down and take notes. |
Not all ladies. But the ones I've been meeting like mine sha ![]() It has a somewhat scruffy - ruffy appeal ![]() |
OmoAlata1:Hmmm... Okay then. If that's what you feel. Cheers. |
OmoAlata1:Wow!!! You're so far from the truth. Too far for me to even want to attempt fencing my own opinions with you. It's particularly shocking that this is coming from a lady. I've never been addicted to po:rn, but I must admit that before I completely stopped watching it, I had my fair share of it. I don't quite get what you mean by underlining issues or reasons, because quite frankly, nothing justifies por:n watching. There was a thread I opened with my alternate moniker "1one", in that thread, I made a transcript of a Tedtalks seminar given by Ran Gavreni. I would place the link here, please and please, I'm hoping that you'd spare some minutes to go through that thread, be as liberally minded as possible before reading the content of the thread. Here's the link. https://www.nairaland.com/2038350/why-stopped-watching-indecency |

ShirelleBaby:This is a lie. And you know it. Except Nairaland now has a premium version, different from this free one that we are on. |
LordReed:Yeah okay..... I really get you now. Thank you for taking time to explain Ameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen!!! |
LordReed:This is such a beautiful story. It's not just beautiful but also has a number of lessons, one that struck me the most was how you prayed to God when you "found" her. I think it's nice that you didn't absolutely leave the whole search to God but actually made effort in finding. However, what I'm going to be saying next may be somewhat contradictory of the previous paragraph but using the Bible verse you referenced, I think it would have been more fitting after you married her, not as a search criteria, I don't know if you're getting me though... But, if presently I'm looking for a wife, I shouldn't go into the palms mall, see a fine, smoking hot lady, start chatting her up and then afterwards I go back and pray in the lines of "ehen God ooo....look at, I've found her, oya talk your own".I think God should lead you to the woman he wants you to marry, then when you're married, you can now pray in the lines of " Lord, because you said he that finds a wife, finds a good thing, because I've found this wife I've married, let my life/our lives be a reflection of good happenings". This is by no way an authoritative stance, it's just my personal opinion. That said, your story is a very lovely one... I receive my own story too ooo ![]() ... Without the losing job part sha ![]() |
rezzy:Chaiii ![]() ![]() ![]() I like your candor jare. |
