@Op Aside from many other things in my Job description, I'm also a screen writer. If you wouldn't mind, can I please present this story to my supervisors as a proposal for a movie? Or if you've already shot the movie, can you please give me the link to where it can be downloaded?... I would like to work on a possible sequel with you because this story is too sweet to end in only part 1 ![]() |

basille:I'd like to believe that most of this satirical illustrations are contextual in meanings, and by that I mean, they could have various interpretations. For the gold chained illustration, this is what I think it means - Many people choose to see their difficulties and hardships as absolutely negative, they see it in such a way that absolutely nothing good can come out of it, or there's no lesson to learn, but the truth is, no matter how bad your situation is, if you look deeper within, there's always a way to turn that situation into something as valuable as gold, you can learn a valuable lesson, or use your situation to teach someone a valuable lesson or in many cases that negative situation may just be the needed ingredient for your next major break through, take the instances of Yinka Ayefele, Stevie Wonder and Cobhams, they each have one handicap or the other but yet they chose to use those handicaps as golden opportunities to give their lives meanings. They are world famous celebrities in their respective fields So that's one of such interpretations that I have personally drawn from that illustration. I hope it helped. Cheers |
So since November 2014, the moderator that put this on front page has been sleeping abi Welcome from your sleep. |
I consider myself to be very intelligent. But I will not lie.. I hardly understood the message(s) behind most of the illustrations ![]() Or maybe I've not pondered on them long enough. That said... Very lovely illustrations. *modified* Ehen...I wan dey fear say my brain no sharp again... After looking at them a second time, I understood all of them... I must say THEY ARE JUST SOOOO BRILLLIANT...look at the one with the guy speaking on a podium, his words mean nothing because they are shiiit. Then the guy in some sort of a cave with a ladder sticking out to the open (freedom), instead of him climbing the ladder out to his freedom, he rather used the rungs of the ladder as a source of fire/light in his captivity - This has a number of meanings, but since nobody send me message, make I just stop to dey talk ![]() ![]() Bookmarked. |
Kaiiiiiii This thread is too awemazing!!! I wish it were on front page though ![]() @OP I'm into Editing and Motion graphics and your post has helped me aloooooooot, particularly because I plan to change my editing laptop this year. I'm going to screen the new laptop through each and every single point you made. I've always preferred larger screens to smaller ones because work aside, it's even better for games ![]() ( you can't be into motion graphics and not be a gamer ) Thanks man. Bookmarked. |
I think it's highly shameful that you think it's even think-able to want to marry a woman into your father's house. "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother... " If that verse is not in your own version of the Bible you read, Tear that Bible |
I could hardly fault any of the points. Very well said. I don't know whether to agree with number 8 or not, I'm still thinking about it... It got me thinking real hard I personally strongly believe that there's only one "The One" for every body, if there were truly many copies of "The One" , then "The One" could as well just be everybody, but since this is not so, I'd rather choose to believe that there's actually only "One True Person" for everybody. Ofcourse it happens that due to poor choices or unforseen contingencies, you may end up missing that "True One"...It doesn't mean that you won't still fall in love and have an amazing life, but I believe that no matter how amazing your life turns out to be, it would always have been more amazing if you had found your One True One |
Number 1- lie from the pit of hell. Number 6 - very true Number 10 - very true |

mrkay101:Naah at the bolded. But they are the major distributors in that business Take it to be that Imo people are like the "DSTV" in the satellite broadcast industry, while other states like Abia, Anambra, Enugu are like GoTv, Startimes etc. If you don't get my analogy. You can ping me later ![]() |
Igbo girls. Especially those from imo state. Hmmmm... Enough said. |
clevvermind:I believe your yardstick for tagging them "Most pretty nairalanders" was based on their moniker pictures?... I'm guessing you've not seen any of them in person, if that's the case, then there's a moniker between 2 and 9 that shouldn't be there... Or better put, that in myOwnOpinion shouldn't be there. Ohhh ofcourse, I can't mention the moniker ![]() ... It will go against all sense of discretion ![]() ![]() As for the 10th moniker... Well... I plead the 5th ![]() |
No need persuading her. If age is an issue for her, then it will always be an issue, you can't persuade someone out of that mindset. Just the same way you care for her, you can care for someone else too. So it's better you both go your separate ways to seek other people. |
Very nice. |
@OP This your "every guy" though ![]() There's a particular moniker between 2 and 9 that shouldn't be there at all ![]() At all. By the way, the only romancelander I wish to kiss is not on that list... Maybe she's number 10 sha ![]() |

Krall Krall... . I hail thee. One of the reasons why I prefer Krall to other trolls on Nairaland like Yungwizzzy, Liability and Andyblaze is because he always uses well constructed sentences to write his fiction. It makes his stories very easy and enjoyable to read. Krall.... Trolling since May 29 1999 ![]() |
I just want to chip this in for the benefit of many people who may have reason to use the word in their cvs, and as its obvious, typographical errors in cvs can cost you that job. There's a difference between "Former" and "Formal" The word you intend to use in the context of your initial post is "Former" and not "Formal" I hope you don't take this correction wrongly, I'm not suggesting I'm perfect, Infact there may be mistakes in this very post of mine, but I just thought it fitting to call your attention to that error in your post. As someone suggested before, since your friend's decision to change companies was majorly a function of career development rather than monetary benefits, I think it's best he stays in this new company (with the pay cut), especially if his job designation falls in line with what he is truly happy doing, it's not just about money many times, it's about what you know you are good at and you enjoy doing. As time goes on, better opportunities would arise either in this new company or in another one. Summarily he should take this new job |
franconian:It's still working very fine. I just re-subscribed on Saturday. Same goes with my Elder sister. Maybe it's just the network in your area. |
Chizzy20:This has nothing to do with the topic, but honestly you're good looking...especially with your smooth face. |
Just enjoying the comments. |
