But there are lots of side hustles you can get busy with that bring daily income.
Cheers.
Let me give you a brotherly advice, and I hope you work on it... First of all I counsel people and I have done that on nairaland for a while... I have met great and good guys... I dropped a story about my experience teaching in two schools as a corper and would not mind partnering with schools in abuja, but some accused me of looking for teaching job... Never ever mind what people say... Back to the matter... As a graduate, teaching and earning 15k, e no bad... But once you have a good (android) phone, go to any car stand of your choice around your area... Listen well, any good car stand and ask to see the manager... Tell him you want to help him market his cars and get good buyers... 90% of car stand managers will sign u on... Tel him you will be paid a small commission after sales... Pick up your phone, snap as many cars as your phone memory can take, open a dedicated twitter ac, IG ac, Facebook ac, WhatsApp ac, ac etc... Take out time to post this cars, make sure you have the actual prices of this cars... You can add as much as #250k on it... Bring down the negotiations to as low as making #50k if need be just so I can sell. Set your monthly target... I assure you, if you get I client in a month, u make around #100,000k once you start growing, you can get as much as 5-10 client from all over the country and that hits you over #1m for just helping others sell their cars, Note all you invested was your time, energy, phone and data... No big financial capital... Do not restrict yourself to cars, go for industrial machines as well, caterpillars, mikano gens, any thing, then you look for those big companies that need them and try to call their attention to it or market it to them... You may not sell in 3 months but when you manage to get a client to buy just 1 caterpillars, my brother you will instantly forget that u suffered before... A friend of mine was marketing a silo for a local wielder, he received a call all the way from kebbi state, the purchase was made in Ilorin, he made #1.8 mil from buyers and #400k from seller... He still got a referral from that deal. Wake up bro... Within a month or two, come and pay (tite). I drive uber/bolt in abuja, market cars, sell commodities such as beans, maize, wheat, ginger, onions, name it... In bags and tonnes And I make nothing less than half a mil monthly...We all blessed my nigga ! Baba I had liked to learn more about these hustles. Can I pm you plz?

thebosstrevor1: I agree that i am blockhead but you are the definition of what they call watermelon head, na water full your head.
I hope you know that many crypto companies do not sell to the US and Chinese market because of regulations.
Infact binance USA is different from binance global sites because of United states Sec regulations. New block chain companies cant offer their token in the US market, they only sell outside the US
Do you know that you can not buy and sell ripple in the United states because it is banned.( law suit).
Do you know that in Australia, south korea, japan, china the United states, you can't buy and trade monero and some other privacy coin because they are banned.
Crypto can be banned anywhere in the world if government sees it as a threat to their system. All technology are on the mercy of government regulations.
Go learn from e -gold, very popular but government ban everything and now it is illegal.

thebosstrevor1: Shut up.
Because you know about usdt, that means you know about crypto.
You claim crypto is putting your future into your hands, how? Aren't people also losing all their life savings in crypto trading because of volatility
It seems you think people use rice to buy 1 usdt or 2 xrp.
Xrp is cheaper, how many people use it for transactions, how many times have someone sent you ripple and you converted it to cash.
You claim you made millions from 39k ...anyway every Nigerian online is a millionaire.
You don't know me so stop typing rubbish.. You are a typical example of blockheads youth Buhari is talking about. You need to educate yourself on global events. If USA and China couldn't ban crypto then what are you trying to justify here. Why did we have Binance US? Why did USA took ripple/xrp to court instead of outright ban? Sorry indeed is the case of some Nigerian youth. |

thebosstrevor1: Even the writer of this article criticizing government policies is clueless.
You mean people shouuld open a PayPal account that they can't operate from Nigeria.
People should go to the unregulated p2p crypto market where you can be easily scammed.
You cannot buy crypto with any Nigerian visa or debit card and you can’t withdraw crypto to any bank says the writer and then he wants you to open a paypal account
Now, Deposit in naira to buy crypto have been stopped by most exchanges ( binance and luno) now, this will affect everyone in crypto, another method will be found that will benefit those who have a trusted buyer living outside Nigeria.
The method can be, find a reliable Nigerian living abroad, deposit equivalent money in the person Nigerian account and then the person helps you to buy the crypto you want and then send them to your wallet, this method is good but it is crazy when people understand that sending btc and ethereum from one wallet to another is very expensive that will make you lose.
People don't understand how very volatile crypto is. The volatility can make you panic and make you lose your cash very fast.
Imagine you buy ethereum or btc worth 100k from luno, when that 100k worth of ethereum shows on your ethereum wallet, it can be 98k, in 2 weeks, that ethereum can be worth 110k, in 4 days time, can be worth 99k..this volatile coin can play with your emotions and make you panic sell.
What about network fee.
If i send 10k ethereum to my friend's ethereum account, sometimes, sending fees can be 6k.
The crypto world sometimes when you look at it clearly, works like an organized ponzi scheme.
At the end of the day, i prefer stocks to the crypto scam even though the returns can be huge, if you are an early buyer You don't understand how crypto works so go and face your stock oga Ade. You have USDT which is equivalent to USD and stable at thesame time. Transfering some crypto coins like XRP is even way cheaper regardless of the volume than your CBN stamp duty. Youth like you need to be reoriented about life. Let us all collectively reject struggling and suffering as a way of life. Our leaders are weaponising poverty and you are here supporting their inhuman policy. Our parents accepted it that is why we are here. Where is the positive effect of border closure. Show me that of REMITA. Crypto is puting your future in your own hand rather than hoping in a useless and backward policies of theirs. how do you balance the escape of forex through cryptos for an import dominated country especially for non physical services/goods?
- It undermines monetary policies of various Government.. - There are no checks and balances. - Any dick and harry can prop up a coin. - it discourages foreign investors from investing physically in developing nations.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Costly Mistakes I Discovered in 250 CVs: Why They Were Not Invited 4 Interviews by irumanle(m): 9:43pm On Jul 15, 2020 |
JOpress3: For the past two months since this Covid-19 wahala started, i have reviewed and rewritten about 50 CV and Cover Letters, for nairalanders , you cn confirm from my signature jopress3 above. I have discovered Big Mistakes that are common with the Fresh Graduates and the experience graduates and I feel I should share.
Unfortunately, this mistakes are visible to the eyes of only experts and employers, these are the core reasons these applicants were not getting the invite for interviews they desired and why it has been difficult for the underemployed graduates to moved from his low pay job, to a higher pay job that he desired. Let’s get into the detail of these Big Mistakes below..
#1. Poor Arrangement of information in CV 87 % of the 50 Cv i worked on, has poor arrangement of information in their CV. This sets of applicants did not understand the principle of strength and weakness. So, how can they tackle this problem?.
Consider SWOT analysis. According to Wikipedia, “SWOT analysis is a Strategic Planning techniques used to help a person or organization identify Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats related to business competition or project planning”. No doubt you have competition in the labour market, in that job you wish to apply for. Therefore, it is your duty to identify your SWOT and position them to your advantage, if you must be ahead of your competitors.
So, what information can be classified your Strength or Opportunity, Weakness or Threats? For me, Information such as, Added academic qualification (Phd,Msc,MBa,Phd etc), Additional Certifications, Big brand Work Experience, and your achievements, will stand as my strength and opportunities. And, I will position them in my first page. While, information such as Personal data (Date of birth; where you are above the age in an advertised job, Your Marital Status, State of origin etc.) will be considered my Weakness and Threats and i will relocate them to the behind pages.
The idea is, you position your strength and opportunities in your first page so that they attract attention of your potential employers.
#2 Address of Residence Common sense is not common practice, as basic as address of residence is, it has denied about 95% of applicants opportunities of getting their desired job.
Time has really change things, the days when most employers will recruit new employee from any part of the country and provide free accommodation for 3 months, to help you settle down, have gone down the drains. The Market forces of demand and supply has change every thing, the Number of graduate Supplied into the labour market far exceed the available jobs in demand. And, it has given Employers a lot of choice to choose from and they enjoy it a lot, because it created avenue to cut cost to its minimum.
These days, for example, let’s say an employer in Lagos need 50 qualified graduates, she can get all the 50 graduates in Lagos alone, in a day, anytime she places a vacancy advertisement. These is definitely a problem for an applicant, whose address of residence is not Lagos state, the same for Employers in Portharcourt and Abuja, considered to be job hub in these country. Applicants need to be dynamic in approach.
How do you tackle this challenge if you reside outside these three states(Lagos, Portharcourt, & Abuja)? Its very simple, for example, let’s say you reside in Benin and you find a job vacancy in portharcourt that you meet the requirements, ask yourself, did I have relations or friends in portharcourt, if yes, put a call immediately to them explain clearly the situation at hand, ask for their address and replace it with yours in your CV before you apply. When you get the job sort yourself out.
#3 Too Many Jobs Within a short period of time.
93% of the 50 CV i worked on have this Big mistake. This class of applicant thought that the more places they have worked the better the job opportunities, some have worked in 3 places in 3 years, 4 places in 5years or 6 places in 7 years etc. The question I do ask most time, is it necessary to include all your previous job in your cv or reduce it to few number of jobs.
Lets compare and contrast two applicants below and give our verdict. The first, is an applicant who has worked in 6 places within 7 years. The second, is an applicant who has worked in only 2 places in 7 Years. Who will you consider for a job?.
Here’s My verdict, for the first applicant that worked in 6 places in 7 Years, I will not give him a job, because his job history has shown that he doesn’t stay long in a job, he is not consistent, no stable job experience, it might be that he is not a hard working person or he might have a character problem, as such no job for him. For the second applicant who worked for 2 places in 7 Years, I will give him the job, because he has demonstrated from his job history that he stay longer in a job, it means he has acquired better experience in each job with time, he is consistent and might be hard working and have better character. Yes for him, I will give him the job. So you see the implications.
The idea is, you don’t necessarily need to pile up long list of previous place of work, you should consider prone it down to 2 or 3 work places maximum. You can selects that which you acquired good experience and can get good reference in case. Be creative.
#4. Unnecessary Long List of Responsibility.
99.5% of the 50 CV i worked on failed in this aspect.? This class of applicants see responsibility as an achievement, so they pile a long list and cover the whole space. As define by an online dictionary, “responsibility is the state of facts of being responsible, answerable or accountable for something within ones control”.
Hence that is what it is, it means responsibility is a general things and not personal, such that, 50 persons can have the same responsibilities at a time. for example a responsibility of Customer Service Officer is the same in similar industry every where you go. Then , why the long list of responsibilities in your cv? Wouldn’t it be better if you summarise it to one or two sentence and save yourself a lot of space in your CV. The best CV are not more than Two(2) pages.
For example a Bank Marketer can summarise her responsibility this way ‘Sale of banks retail products, such as Assets, Liability and Non financial' Simple and straight forward. An attacker in football team, like Lionel Messi and Neymar Junior,if you ask them to tell you their responsibilities, they will answer ‘ to score goals and give assist' simple and straight to the point, any other thing is secondary.
The idea is that, responsibility is a general thing, it doesn’t make you smarter or hardworking and it is not an achievement as you will see below.
#5 Complete Absence of Achievements.
99.9% of the 50 CV i worked on, did not mention achievements, even the very few that did, hid it inside their long list of Responsibilities. Its quite unfortunate, perhaps because some applicant confuse achievement for responsibility and others did not realise the impact achievements carry on their CV.
The fact is, Your Achievement is what make you “Stand out from the crowd”, it makes you an island of intelligent in a sea of mediocrity. Achievements is personal possession, you own it and no two persons has the same achievements, even twins Children.
From our example above, Lionel Messi and Neymar Junior, they are attackers, their responsibility is the same thing, ‘to score goals and give assist', but their achievement is completely different, while both players where in Barcelona in 2014/2015 football season, Lionel Messi Scored about 73 goals and 89 assist, While Neymar Junior scored about 33 goals and 41 assist. Lionel Messi has better achievement, and it is the singular reason why Lionel Messi is paid higher than Neymar in Barcelona. And, he is needed in all the big football clubs.
It is your achievements that catches the attention of your potential employers, they come to see you as a problem solver particular to your job function. No wonder i have started receiving positive testimonials from the 50 CV i did reviewed and rewriting here on nairaland, because i use my experience and expertise to uncover their achievements and project it properly in their CV. It is your duty to identify your achievements and channel it to your advantage. If you are finding it difficult to fix, you can always chat me up on WhatsApp or email below and I will gladly use my experience and expertise to fix it for you, for a small Service fee.
#6 Complete Absence of knowledge of Cover letter.
Unfortunately, almost 98 % of the cover letters i reviewed were very poor.
The fact is, as you aspire to move up in the job markets from a low pay job to a higher pay job that you desired, Cover letter and not your CV, became the most important weapon you need to persuade employers to look towards your direction.
It is in your cover letter that you have all the space to express your skills and achievements. You can get down to the details and demonstrate how your skills have solve previous problems of employers, particular to your job function. You will have the space to give details of your achievements.
CONCLUSION: You can apply this ideas and craft a Smart CV and Cover letter for yourself . If you need my assistant you can always email: jopress3@gmail.com or chat me up on WhatsApp: zero, seven zero, 6782, three, seven, six zero. For a service fee. For the moment, I will assist review and rewrite CV and Cover letter, for the first 10 persons here for #2000 naira only. Gracia’s(thanks) Nice write-up. |

mikebabs101: ladies should stop saying this. In most cases, even when the man was broke, the lady was still a liability and offers not much than sex and little gains just because she hasn't found a better option, even if you check most ladies that claim to be with broke guys , they are still cheating on the broke guy with more comfortable men and trying to expand her tentacles if she will lucky to land a ready made man. I have one in my contact , always forming love and love quotings with one broke guy , but will readily come and give me a good sex anytime I want with just 5k. So its just normal if the broke guy decides to change his taste when he become successful cos he only pretended, endured and took a lot of shits cos he doesn't have many option when he was broke. There are exceptions though, but these exceptions are mostly from girls from a relatively financially comfortable family not the hungry ones we have these days Your assertions are correct.
