I just want to say that, behaviours such as this from Nigerians is what eventually complicates issues for other Nigerians. An increase in cases of Nigerians cancelling their schooling after getting PR for example, will only lead to an increased difficulty for Nigerians on student visas to get PR approval. Just see what has happened with TRVs, waiting long months when other nationals get their visas in days. We really should do better. Even if we know we are not genuine, we should try not to do things that will make our ingenuity obvious enough to jeopardize future chances of our Nigerian fellows, or even future generations.

Since the statement has already been printed, will it be okay to now print the preceeding one month on tueday to make it up 4 months when put together?

Remember the dates they were printed will show that the last 3 months statement was printed on Friday while the first one month will be next Tuesday.

Good morning house, please I have an issue here o

My sponsor(my maternal aunt) went to print her bank reference and statement of account for me and it turned out too voluminous, so she asked them to print for 3 months which was still over 80 pages with a sitting balance of 25million and a turnover of 750million for that 3 months.

Now my question is, can I use the bank statement of 3 months since she had already transferred 5m to my account last week for my studies? Is it ok to use the statement like that for my application as I am applying on Tuesday. Please I need urgent response?

Thank you for your response. I am really grateful for it. However, I think I should throw more light into why I am not comfortable with including my payslip and SOA. My organisation have not paid any of their workers for 5 months. Whatever cash that is in my account was gotten out of personal hustle from other side runs. If I go ahead and print, there will be nothing depicting that I earn a regular monthly salary. I'm still with the organisation because of the side runs which has been keeping me going.

This is the reason why I'm not comfortable attaching that document.

cic is just being too strict on naija applicants , but I pray CBN sort this out asap. I also feel cic wants applicants to pay tuition fee before applying for trv but they don't know how to say it's now "mandatory " for students to pay their tuition before trv application

It's good if @MichV the TRV doc is back, I just want to say whatever we do on/off here can only be rewarded greatly by God, no amount of thank you I can get from people have helped on/off this thread that can amount to a safe delivery of my own TRV. Hi everyone,

I submitted my application last friday through paper route.

In the statement of account submited, the closing balance was 4.4m (11m credit n 7m debit over 6 mth). Althoug i received a funding of 6800cad which covered for school fee n some other fees serving as the program fee and after it remains over a thousand cad. The only money declared was for living cost which i put at 11800cad which is approximately 2.6m.

My sponsor though is married to my dads sister n a marriage cert was provided to that effect. Although he used his business account as he is the sole signatory to d acct n neccessary docs were provided. He runs an educational firm as a master franchise for nigeria btwn India and nigeria.

In his declaration he did not give an actual amount he is declaring but stated that he is aware that i received a funding of 6800cad which covered for my tuition n some other expenses and he is willing to sponsor my living cost.

Is this ok? Pls I Need Your Take On This.

What i thought of doing is: specify the dates when i transferred to fixed deposit from my savings account but goes as far back
as 2014 with some roll overs ans some liquidations in between.

Can I print some months from previous years showing when I did the transfer? It would be too
much to print from 2014 to date right?[color=#000099][/color]that is the essence of LOE... why can't you just print your statement of account covering the long period and give a detailed explanation in your LOE. Or is there any law/rule against SOA for a long period?

I meant I always have a balance of like 200k but there is no month I don't have an inflow of about 6m to 10m. As a guy who likes doing one or two with funds. This money is mine but I just can't leave 6m to 10m without adding to it by doing one or two business. Now if I accumulate it within two weeks is it lumping.

My younger brother hope to make it by September if his study permit get approved. He will be going for submission this week. He was admitted to Mohawk College $15k yearly tuition and I already paid $8,500 a semester tuition plus. I am supporting him with two statements with closing balance of $19,500USD and 2.5m respectively, my question now is that will this be sufficient enough for him to get approval?

Secondly, Pls for those who did paper application, I want to get reference letter from my bank for the sponsorship account I used for him, what is the Canada Accra Application address that the letter will be addressed to?

I have over meet the reasons. That was last two years. My statement of purpose was Zero then from the corrections I saw from NAIRALANDERS . about fund. I have gotten a sponsor who is a blood brother and have huge set out for me. He has paid one year tution fee. And accomadtion for a full semester. . CAD10k has been declared for my upkeep though not in my own account yet. Please I want to know if affidavit of sponsorship is neccesary my sponsor is not in Nigeria, getting Such affidavit will not be easy now. Please I need your advice. Thank you

Hello fam, I've just been denied student visa solely for insufficient balance. It was a paper route, no upfront medicals and was never called for medicals, meng, university of waterloo, may admission. I used my mum's account(as the sponsor) of 5.4m cum my account of 500k and a landed property. The tuition is $21,000 for a year. I applied for a two year visa because the programme can be extended for a maximum of 2years. May be I should also state here that I withdrew almost all the money within one week after submission, dont know if that really had anything to do with the refusal. Here is my question, I want to re-apply(towards September or january admission, after securing a deferment from the school) and someone just offered to drop his company's account as my sponsor with over 10m in it, will this augur well for my application since there's no money in my mum's account again? Thanks in anticipation for a good and helpful response.

Hello Gurus in the house, please can I use my sponsor's pension SOA available balance is 9m to apply for my trv combined with normal bank SOA minimum balance 1M with inflow and outflow of over 15m in the past 6months. you can withdraw from the pension's acct.

I got a notification from Grad cord of my department that i have been recommended for admission for MA History at memorial university with fundings (the amount is unknown yet as i still await the official mail from SGS.

My question is that my sponsor does not bear my surname but he is willing to do the sponsoring because its a year program. I dont know the documents to put together to back this up as MUN dont take tuition deposit until resumption. What other proof could be given to show his sincerity.

Your responce will be greatly appreciated.

once u declare u working and u fail to submit ur payslip, u might get d refusal reason that states "financial status and d likes". Do well to tender it if u really working.

Firstly, i'll advise you consider paying your full tuition fees before re-applying. #JustAnAdvise

Now to your questions:

1.Yes,anybody can use a sponsor who will be willing to expend funds for his/her study and NO, it won't raise any red flag provided you prove and show you have access to the funds.

2.Sure,you can. If you can't prove relationship with your cousin, let him/her swear to an affidavit of sponsorship.

3.Fixed deposit is fixed deposit and a one time source or prove of funds.You can show prove of the FD without transfering it to any other account..You only need to prove that it will become available to you and when.

4. If it's personal funds for a year, it should be enough as long as the equivalent in CAD amount to atleast 10,000 CAD as required by CIC for a year.

5. If you feel it is necessary, you can briefly write about how you have been able to tackle the previous refusal reasons. They still will find out from their GCMS database notwithstanding whether or not you write about it.

Thank God for I applied to UofCalgary.

By God's grace, UofToronto is still on my PhD list alongside Harvard, Calgary, etc. I will apply as domestic student then by God's grace.

I am a graduate of industrial chemistry 2.2 with G.P.A 3.25. Having worked as QC officer in the manufacturing sector for about a year I saw the need to develop myself in process control. I applied to NBCC diploma program for PROCESS CONTROL but hope to do a master after the diploma program . my TRV application Completed with the following doc: affidavit of sponsorship, offer letter, statement of account,sponsorship letter, tax clearance, landed properties, BSc cert, waec, LOE stating career path, current employment letter,work ID,Full tuition payment receipt.
