EducationRe: The Problem With HND Certificate – By Femi Olabisi by ishmael(m): 9:53pm On Feb 14, 2013
Phemmyolas: Thanks of for your view and comment. Suffice to say here that the article was not insinuating that all polytechnic graduates are not good, and like you said, some may even be better than some university graduates. However, the fact remains that the margin will be minimal, and it is basically impossible to place a professor or a PhD holder on the same pedestal with somebody with HND, First degree and Masters as is common in the polytechnics. Surely, you cannot give what you don't have.
what's so special about the nigerian prof and phd holders? Don't u on ur own believe they've been churnning out semi literate graduates from the universities in nigeria? What percentage of the uni graduates taught by profs and phd holders are sound academically and technically? How comes they still can't transform the country?
EducationRe: The Problem With HND Certificate – By Femi Olabisi by ishmael(m):
Have u ever wondered why some poly graduates know more than d uni grads? Some poly students and grads even teach uni students some courses that they may be offering. Eg accounting courses. Ever wondered why? Can u teach what u don't know?

PoliticsRe: NAF Has Only One Serviceable Aircraft For Training’ by ishmael(m): 8:46pm On Feb 09, 2013
Rossikk: You have a very LOW IQ. So what you went to see ''YEARS BACK'' is what you come here to claim is the current situation? Based on what you saw ''years back'' as a kid escorting his mate to a base?

HOW ABOUT DECADES BACK? OR CENTURIES BACK?

How would a non entity kid like you and your student friend have known exactly how many functional training aircraft the entire Nigerian Airforce possessed after visiting a single base ''years back''? Who did you speak to? Or rather, who were you allowed to speak to?

DUMMY WITH NO BRAIN, but with internet access.
don't be rude pls. It's because of reasons like these dat i stopped commenting on nairaland posts. U actually think i'm a kid? My friend did his course there when he was still a wing commander as at 2010. He's in 81 air maritime group, benin city now flying ATR-42 maritime recce aircraft. He just got his group captain. I still live on the air force base in kaduna and there is no body there that does n't know the situation of things in the 301 flying training school in kaduna. Nothing has changed there, no new aircraft has been acquired for 301 FTS. I was in the flying school even on friday, i still have friends and colleagues dat are pilots, engineers and technicians there. The AOC is not telling lies, he knows what he's saying, no new aircrafts have been given to 301 FTS since 2010 for the training of transport pilots in kaduna.
PoliticsRe: NAF Has Only One Serviceable Aircraft For Training’ by ishmael(m): 6:20pm On Feb 09, 2013
Tolexander: NAF has one serviceable aircraft for training!
Maybe the others are not serviceable but functioning
it's true. They have only one functional Do-228 aircraft used for training of transport pilots and at the sametime used for courier and executive flights. The others cannot fly. They've been grounded long ago. I've gone there to see things myself years back when a friend was doing his basic transport flying course. The guy also complained then. He's a group captain now.

CareerRe: Is There Any Hope For HND Graduate? by ishmael(m): 11:01pm On Dec 16, 2012
austertee01: With the past and current discrimination betwent the Bsc and HND graduates, is there any hope for HND graduate in this country?
No hope in the civil service. HND holders are employed as level 07 officers on the same level with NCE holders, and cannot go beyond level 14, in some cases level 12. Degree holders start from level 08 and get to level 17. Ministries don't look at skills, they look at paper qualifications and give preference to university Degrees.
CareerRe: Nigerian Statisticians/Analysts Forum by ishmael(m): 8:35am On Dec 15, 2012
i'm still trying to find out why statisticians are not sought for in nigeria, the way accountants are sought for. U see adverts daily ranging from one man biz to multi national firms looking for accountants, but they never look for statisticians. Why is it like that? Is it that they don't believe that statistics and statisticians can be useful to their businesses and operations?
Foreign AffairsRe: Ghana Election: Soldiers Use Tear-Gas To Disperse Crowd by ishmael(m): 11:34am On Dec 09, 2012
PetroDolla: There is no rigging in the Ghanaian elections. Where did you get that from? Even your Olusegun Obasanjo who is here as an observer can testify it's been very free, fair and credible.
if Obj is there as an observer then he could be the brain behind the rigging. There is obviously a PDP in ghana too.

samuelorija218: SPSS does it for me. The version 19 is slow in processing compared to some lower version of it. The input of the coded data value will make you bored if the data are much.
I thought i was the only one that experienced that. Versions 16, 17, & 18 are still ok to me.
PoliticsRe: Lets Have Your Questions For Mr President by ishmael(m): 4:56pm On Nov 17, 2012
Pls Mr. President, you once said that technical education is the bedrock and basis for technological development. Why is there still discrimination against polytechnic HND graduates in the civil service both at entry level and progression? Is it that you don't want Nigeria to develop beyond this level? What are you doing to put a stop to this wicked and obnoxious act of discrimination against polytechnic HND graduates?

FamilyRe: 10 Reasons Not To Get A Divorce - Read & Have A Rethink by ishmael(m): 2:45pm On Oct 19, 2012
Siena: Are there instances where divorce is the only option? Are there cases whereby God will condone divorce?

Please, answer yes or no, without a long epistle.

#JusticeforAluu4
No. God hates divorce. Even if ur spouse commits adultery, u can still forgive. Christ demonstrated that by refusing to condemn the woman who was brought before Him for committing adultery. He forgave her and asked her to go, and sin no more. God can put things in order for couples who believe and invite Him into their hearts and home.
FamilyRe: 10 Reasons Not To Get A Divorce - Read & Have A Rethink by ishmael(m): 12:33pm On Oct 19, 2012
God hates divorce. The man and the wife can agree to settle their differences and have a stable and peaceful home if they want to. Go back to God if u're not serving Him. If u love God u will keep His commandments. I stilll repeat it, God hates divorce. Divorce can be avoided if the couples have the fear of God in them.

I mean when the man has no income and the wife has one that can take care of the bills. Is it wrong for the woman to take responsibility of paying all the bills?

What if the man loses his job and the wife still has a good job with good salary? Should the bills still be shared 50:50?
FoodRe: Price Of Indomie Has Gone Up by ishmael(op): 10:03am On Sep 05, 2012
Prices of so many items like malt, beer and even domestic/household items will soon go up. LPFO is the main fuel for most of these industries.
FoodPrice Of Indomie Has Gone Up by ishmael(op): 4:13am On Sep 05, 2012
The price of indomie, cement, and other products have gone up already. Do you know why? This is as a result of a sharp increase in the price of LPFO (aka black oil) by govt and NNPC from N68/litre to N85.71/litre. This is the basic fuel Dangote and other industrialist use in running their machines. Since the govt couldn't succeed in increasing the price of pms, or kerosene (dpk), they decided to silently increased the price of this basic fuel used by industries for production which is only consumed by industries. A lot of nigerians do not know about this fuel neither do they buy it, and as such would not complain about the increment. This increment has a multiplier effect on the economy, as prices of manufactured products will go up, and at the end of the day the common man still suffers it. Prices of so many items will soon go up as a result of this. Let govt reverse back the price or atleast make a slight or marginal increase on the price of LPFO. This sharp increase will spoil so many things. Pls let's join hands and fight this illegal and unjust increase of the price of this fuel or else nigeria will be heading for doom. N.B. The increment was n't made public, but was made thru an internal memo from NNPC and petroleum ministry more than a month ago. You can ask any LPFO dealers u know, they will confirm it to u.
